BREAKING. Conservative pundit and leading voice of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk was about 20 minutes into a presentation when he was shot, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University told NBC News.
The spokesperson said, to the best of the university’s knowledge, Kirk was hit and taken with his security team away from the premises, and the courtyard was cleared. Video from Twitter below:
Kirk was sat in a tent with the “American Comeback Tour” logo when a shot is heard and Kirk physically recoils, slumping down in his seat. Blood is seen flowing down from his neck and the crowd audibly panics and begins to run.

There is no confusion. It was a fatal shot. The President was informed and posted it on his Truth account.
The only reason we didn’t know within 10 minutes of the shooting was the need to notify the next of kin, you wouldn’t want his wife to find out from a news headline.
I’m almost jealous of the time during my childhood, there was no “24/7 breaking news” coverage until the first gulf war started the trend.
I believe technology can make vast improvements in our lives, but it takes moral men to make good use.
Technology , like money, is a moral, it’s what the man does with it that makes it good or evil.
I know it’s my duty to stay informed and do what I can, but it’d be nice to unplug and enjoy life. We need more focus on local community and less on making everything breaking news, urgency, need for up to the minute updates and instant results.
We live about six miles from UVU. My son, who thankfully did not attend, told me a few of his friends from his high school did attend the event and they told my son Charlie’s wife and children were also in attendance.

I was driving and heard on the radio that Charlie Kirk had been shot.

My local university had a fine graduate teachers program, but it has been undersubscribed for about 10 yrs due to people not wanting to enter this field any longer. Lots of reasons anyone can name, but . . . where does that leave our younger generation?

I’m not at anger yet. I’m in complete disbelief and shock, and just raw heartache for his children and his wife. And the only thing I can think to say, is Jesus has overcome Satan. He did so when he rose from the dead. And Charlie knew that. We must remember as well. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. We must be prayer warriors against the demons in our midst. The devil has not won, though a follower of Jesus was taken from us far too young by those possessed by demons, we do not lose hope, for our hope is in our risen Lord.

That’s exactly what I have done every day of my life. I worked my first job scraping ten layers of wallpaper in a hundred year old apartment in New York City at 12 years old. The apartment had 12′ ceilings and after the wallpaper was removed I painted the whole apartment and replaced the flooring. I worked straight through until I turned 70 years old. I have two children both professionals with incredible jobs and three beautiful grandchildren. I have done my job very well!
