BREAKING. Conservative pundit and leading voice of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk was about 20 minutes into a presentation when he was shot, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University told NBC News.
The spokesperson said, to the best of the university’s knowledge, Kirk was hit and taken with his security team away from the premises, and the courtyard was cleared. Video from Twitter below:
Kirk was sat in a tent with the “American Comeback Tour” logo when a shot is heard and Kirk physically recoils, slumping down in his seat. Blood is seen flowing down from his neck and the crowd audibly panics and begins to run.

Sniper at 200 yards. That’s a contract hit. Maybe a good deer rifle shot, but I doubt it.
I’ve shot a .338 Lapua magnum round at 450 yards and hit dead center on a steel chest plate. The rifle was “doped”, in other words, it was dialed-in at that 450 yard range.
I can’t believe that someone did not notice the shooter carrying a rifle bag to or within that building. This shooter most likely had this planned out and had dialed-in his rifle for this opportunity to commit murder.

No official statement will be made until his survivors are notified – I’ve been involved in several deaths where we the first responders knew the person was dead well before it was released to the public.
Cal Fire Division Chief Josh Bischoff and Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez’s deaths in a helicopter crash are a prime example. They were dead when our personnel arrived at scene but was much, much later that the public knew.
Based on the raw footage I put his chance of survival near 0%.

I watch The Charlie Kirk Show nearly every day. Charlie, though never college educated, was a voracious reader and learner, memorized the Constitution and a great amount of the Bible.
He encouraged others to do so too.
He knew what he believed and was firm in his faith, his love for the Lord, his duty as a servant of God, a patriot, a husband and father, a teacher. He never hesitated.
Not only did he leave this legacy of his role modeling, he left an organization strongly aimed at teaching truth to young people. Turning Point USA is Charlie’s legacy.
