I think it is important to remember that this fabrication was not just an attack on Trump and the US system of government, it was also an attack on Russia. Fake claims of “Russian election interference” were used as a pretext for all sorts of sanctions against Russia, and the story of Trump being a “Putin puppet’ were used push Trump into taking a much harder line against Russia than he would otherwise have done.
In the bigger picture this whole matter is just one part of the illegitimate war against Russia which the Western deep state has been waging by various different means since at least 2014, and probably before that.

Meaningless phrase. The intelligence community is made up of multiple agencies/departments in the U.S., and then there also are foreign intelligence agencies. The use of this phrase re Epstein indicates only the repetition of vague speculations by numerous media pundits who actually have no facts.
