I was raised in that area, now I’m completely rural. My grandson, clueless, is headed to Orange County for the State championship and I am petrified for him. These planned events across NY will be all along the route they are taking home, not to mention near the area where he will be participating. The state prepared this trip for these kids and I doubt Hochus Pochus or anyone is prepared or know how to keep these kids safe. Either complicit or heads in the sand! I’m praying, trying to inform my grandson to lay low but his parents think I’m nuts!

Yeah, I watched that live. Bet the CHP lost a million bucks in gear in that little incident. Those cars aren’t cheap, nor is what’s in them. Still, no need to risk life to save property. My brother’s wife has family in LA. They live near Hollywood. Her son is retired from the police department. She has talked to them and found that nothing seems wrong in many parts of LA. The battle zone was designated and yet, the news media is making it sound like Vietnam all over again.
I don’t doubt that the ugly people are doing what the news reports from the ground but someone has to start listening to the residents throughout LA. This isn’t touching the entire compound called LA. But, it does need to be stopped. We need better news as what we have seems to want to do just what Kammie said do after she lost to Trump….they want us to fight, fight, and fight some more. Nasty Communist live among us. Traitors to this country live among us. Yes, it needs to be stopped and Gitmo and other prisons need to be filled to the max with those who go against our Constitution and our government.
A curfew is like a protective order. It isn’t going to stop the bad guys from doing anything – BUT it does allow the police to arrest the bad guy for violating the order. Some activities that would normally be considered perfectly legal (contacting a specific person, being in a public space) are temporarily PROHIBITED, and violating the terms is grounds for arrest.
Now all that remains is for the authorities to enforce it.
