CONTEXT for Los Angeles Riots: Approximately 12.3 million Mexicans live abroad, both legally and illegally, with 97% of them living and working in the United States, according to BBVA Research. Last year Mexicans living abroad sent $64.75 billion back home in remittances, largely from Texas and California to states in central and western Mexico.
According to data recently released, in April of this year remittances back to Mexico dropped 12.1%. The Mexico central bank said April saw 8.1% fewer transactions than a year earlier, that’s down to 12.4 million transactions. For Mexico this is a devastating outcome.
How dependent is the Mexican Govt on these remittances? Remittances sent home by Mexicans working outside the country surpassed petroleum revenues in 2015. {link} Oil Revenue in 2015 was 23.4 billion; remittances were $24.8 billion. Last year in 2024 remittances were $64.75 billion…. and in April of this year the remittances dropped by 12.1%.
If you don’t think there is a critical financial motive in this, think again.
CALIFORNIA – About 700 U.S. Marines were mobilized Monday to support the California National Guard to protect federal personnel and property in Los Angeles during protests there, officials said.
The mobilization of the Marines from their base in Twentynine Palms, California, is temporary, to give time for additional National Guard troops to arrive.
Earlier Monday, President Donald Trump said he would support arresting California Gov. Gavin Newsom for purportedly obstructing federal immigration enforcement actions in Los Angeles.
Trump’s comment came shortly before Newsom and state Attorney General Rob Bonta said they would sue Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for deploying National Guard troops to deal with protests over those enforcement actions.
The suit will ask a judge to rule that Trump’s federalization of the California National Guard was unlawful and to set aside the president’s order.
[…] Meanwhile, federal prosecutors charged labor leader David Huerta with felony conspiracy to impede an officer. Huerta, president of SEUI California, was arrested on Friday during a protest in L.A.
He appeared Monday in federal court, a judge ordered him released on a $50,000 bond, and warned him to keep away from federal agents and federal operations. (more)
Anyone who was following politics in 2007 and 2008 knows exactly what role the SEIU (Service Employees International Union) played in supporting candidate Barack Obama.
As Obama and Hillary Clinton battled for control of the Democrat apparatus, Barack made a deal with SEIU President Andy Stern. If the purple orcs would activate -violently if needed- on Obama’s behalf, when he became President Obama would remove the healthcare liability from the union retirement by creating nationalized healthcare, Obamacare.
Andy Stern agreed to the deal, marshalled his orcs and that was the army the Chicago machine used to defeat the Clinton machine. It was a bloody battle, and in the aftermath the PUMAs were born (Public Unity My Ass). SEIU President Stern became the #1 White House visitor to see Obama in 2009 and 2010, and the rest as they say is history.
The Chicago machine behind Obama is deeply enmeshed with classic communist objectives. In descending level of ideological severity, you will note: SEIU, AFSCME, AFL-CIO and the UFCW. All of these labor organization are open borders activists, radical leftists with severe ideological leadership who know how to weaponize their membership to act as ‘shock troops’ within the U.S. political system.
That’s the background for the SEIU to align with La Raza and attack the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials on Los Angeles.
With Democrats out of power in DC all the foot soldiers have once again been activated to achieve political objectives. ICE is the convenient target, but the larger objective is to create street level crisis similar to the BLM riots in 2020 and get back into power. Violence is once again accepted in order to achieve their political goals. The media runs cover for the violence, continually downplaying it – even as it gets worse.
These are the same communist foot soldiers behind Occupy Wall Street in 2012. These are the same foot soldiers who attacked Donald Trump supporters in 2016 (San Jose). These are the same foot soldiers behind the Minnesota riots in 2020. A mixture of Black Bloc radicals, Anarchists, ANTIFA, and radical race-based activist groups like BLM, La Raza and CAIR.
The organization and funding come from the labor unions and political activist groups atop them.

Cyber war to end this, drones to identify then let Elon’s robot attack dogs loose.
They are or were being used to guard Mar-A-Lago.
Robot attack dogs sounds like, “Dogs of war” by Jonathon Mayberry.
A freelance terrorist uses the latest generation of robot dogs to deliver WMDs into cities across America. Sophisticated military weapons systems turn on their human masters. A technological apocalypse is coming and we may be too late to stop it.
I can smell it coming.
Hopefully the MARINES have bullets and MACE. The National Guard did NOT. What a way to fight INVADERS?

WOW!
In other words, Mexico– like Canada– cannot exist in its current political form without subsidies, one way or another, from the US. I wonder how many other countries “have nothing to lose” going all-in against PDJT in Los Angeles, California. May God protect him!
Shinebaugh/Cartel Puppet. knows the lower remittances are hurting Mexico, but come on lady. shut up
It means that Mexico is one screwed up country.
It means I am buying their cases of Modelo for them, but I don’t even get one beer out of their case.
YEP!!!
So buy Coors Light
A lot of American beers are great. That’s where I go from time to time.
It means the Mexican economy tanks without illegals bankrolling it
Always has been.
It means the US Tax Payers are akin to the Human Batteries in the Matrix – by paying indirectly via Taxes for Education and Welfare of Illegal Aliens.
It means it’s due time for blindfolds and cigarettes…

This guy was a huge mistake.
have a heart Blindfolds and Blunts
Uh no, I want to smoke his last one for him. Make him watch. Then you can sort the rest.
“Communist in Chief”
It means illegal aliens from Mexico (and elsewhere) are stealing taxpayer money that is funding the cartels and the Mexican govt. is not going to do a damn thing about it; except fund riots in the streets of the USA.
“What does this mean?” It means you have to change your country – but that’s your problem, not ours.
The President may seek to tax those remittances, heavily.
That would be a very good idea.
The world gets rich off America.
Exactly what tariffs are all about, but most (some conservatives as well) are too ignorant to understand the concept.
They are recently started taxing the remittances @3.5%.
Sheinbaum has commented as though she has authority to make change in USA.
https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/remittance-tax-us-mexico/
Or make remittances to Mexico ILLEGAL.
He has already said a 3.8?? something percent tax. That’s what set the Mexican president off and she called for her Mexican Citizens that are here in the United States illegally to stand up (protest/riot) against these taxes… A foreign leader, calling for her citizens to cause unrest in another country that those citizens are in illegally… I know there are a lot of legal minds on this conversation. I’d like to know your opinions of the legal ramifications of her doing so.
I saw a report that the remittance tax is in the big beautiful bill – 3.5 percent. She had a cow over it of course. I don’t know about legal ramifications but she needs some kind of ramification for sure. If nothing else, it will give DJT fuel to press for the bill with the remittance tax in it. Using round numbers, U.S. vig would be about $2 billion out of the $60 ish billion total wages being sent by those who work in the U.S. to support Mexico (per blog post above). That’s a small price for for 12 million of our southern neighbors to have access to the U.S. labor market IMO. If they don’t like it they need to go back home and fix their corrupt cartel-run country and get rid of their Marxist government. I’m tired of the whole situation.
Yes I know that the remittance tax is a huge blow to the GDP of Mexico. Already the amount of money not going to Mexico is in the $billions. What I’ve heard is that by her telling her citizens to protest against the tax it could be called a “Foreign Insurrection” which in fact, resulted in riots that have led to police and federal officers being harmed. That the violent riots may have, in part, been the result of a foreign president calling for protests in the United States. A foreign insurrection or a foreign invasion. President Trump is calling this an organized protest, insurrection, and invasion which gives him the legal right to send in troops. I’m just wondering if this is true. If it is, that would slap Newscum and his lawsuit against President Trump across the face.
The insurrection in L.A. has been coming for a long time. I remember seeing a map of all the sanctuary counties in the U.S. after Trump won in the 2016 presidential election. Then I came across another map showing all the counties Hillary won in that election.
The two maps were identical, and I remember thinking all those counties that were wantonly breaking federal law were Democrat strongholds, which reminded my of Abe Lincoln saying “That a house divided against itself cannot stand!”
Trump has the resolve to crush this rebellion and he has the support of the majority of the American people.
Lexington and Concord are here…the time is now for a new American Revolution to strike fear into the hearts of these violent thugs and to restore our Constitutional Republic!
Crush everyone involved with letting and bringing in illegals with USC 8. How many empty malls are in the U.S.? Turn them into jails.
Greg Abbot to blame in a big way
You misspelled his name, it’s spelled Biden.
Stupid comment.
Oh, really? How many times was Abbott and the state of Texas sued by biden’s DOJ, et.al. for deploying border protection measures? Willful ignorance is not a virtue.
This is a reminder it was ABBOT who assisted in getting the illegals scattered across the nation in the metro areas for such a time as this.
IF Abbot had really executed his authority to defend his state, citing the treaty that the Nation of Texas executed with the United States in order to join the Union, things would be very different RIGHT NOW.
The Biden admin. was shipping them all across the US .
Abbott and DeSantis were both bussing the illegals.
Yes the demonrat way is to spread them around. Obama spread them around that way, I’ve got old articles talking about how many he was sending to each state on his way out of 1600 Pa Ave. circa 2016. Strategically, putting them where they need to bolster the census numbers for House seat allocation is the way they go. But he seemed to send some to most if not all states if I remember correctly,
Sue the Joe Biden admin.
Luke 11:15-23 AMP
But some of them said, “He drives out demons by [the power of] Beelzebul (Satan), the ruler of the demons.” [16] Others, trying to test Him, were demanding of Him a sign from heaven. [17] But He, well aware of their thoughts and purpose, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is doomed to destruction; and a house divided against itself falls. [18] If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand and continue to survive? For you are saying that I drive out demons by [the power of] Beelzebul. [19] Now if I drive out the demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons [the Jewish exorcists] drive them out? For this reason they will be your judges. [20] But if I drive out the demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has already come upon you. [21] When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his belongings are undisturbed and secure. [22] But when someone stronger than he attacks and overpowers him, he robs him of all his armor on which he had relied and divides his [goods as] spoil. [23] He who is not with Me [believing in Me as Lord and Savior] is against Me [there is no impartial position]; and he who does not gather with Me [assisting in My ministry], scatters.
Bless your heart, but we are split so much that we may be at the beginning of a 2nd civil war.
IT’s right on top of us. Fix bayonets.
Note the “conspiracy to impede” charge on that SEIU thug. It means the Feds believe he was not working alone. It means more arrests might be coming. And it means that the judge’s order to stay away extends to emails, phone calls, texts, etc.
Huerta has to assume that he and his comrades are under surveillance. If they had plans nationwide, SEIU now needs to step back and assess risk. They don’t have Obama to protect them. They don’t have DOJ to protect them.
The better thing to do with Newsome isn’t an arrest. It’s a grand jury subpoena. Let’s have a grand jury look into his role fomenting the riots, impeding ICE, and refusing to enforce laws protecting the public.
Watch how fast they change their tune when faced with perjury, obstruction, and related charges. Like we learned with the Russia hoax, there’s what they say on cable news and then there’s what they say under oath…
And if he lies or defies the subpoena then you arrest him.
😍
Stealing Federal Funding of his State.
I like the way you think !!
The governor is a punk. Shame on him.
That’s why we have the FISA 702 section to allow the FBI to go to the NSA and start seaching Huerta’s communication records and start tracing the SEIU network along with the NGOs that are funding these orcs.
All they have to do is tie him to a foreign agent or money from, say, China…
Or the president can use his authority to do the investigation with or without the cover of foreign involvement, find it and use it or, dont find it and set up the famous “parellel investigation” .
It would not surprise me and please me if a grand jury was already reviewing evidence
Does anybody know what country is the second largest destination for remittances?
If you guessed India, you were correct.
Hopefully, the 5% tax on remittances will be restored by the Senate after this week’s riots by Mexican flag waiving terrorists.
India – $195 B$ in remittances?
H1B visas
Increase it to 80%.
80 hell! 100% above $50.
Given that the overlap between illegal Mexican workers sending money home and Soros/CCP/CIA rioters-for-hire is close to nil, I would much prefer Trump target the latter. The Soros/CCP/CIA Blob, OTOH, want Trump to solely target poor, peaceful, hard-working (but illegal) Mexicans, so they can hide themselves and their actions behind them.
$65B a year would hire a lot of Americans.
One house rep introduced 15% over the weekend
25%+ to match real inflation President Auto Pen created.
everything is about the definition of invasion, and how long the Coup can delay that or control the outcome.
…
Multiple the number of Mexicans by 4 or 5 to get closer to the actual number. This has been going on since 1965.
Well…Samantha Power did lose her job…she does have alot of time on her hands right now.
Regarding the color revolution, watching last night live I saw the repedative gather amd break up pattern as well as umbrellas.
Tax 25% all remittances to Mexico let’s see how quickly the tide changes
Several hundred thousand a year pay to be a punk rioter…
And you have this little gem
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/pickup-truck-delivers-bionic-face-shields-other-supplies/
As usual the commie left lies for their game plan modis
But hey, if it nets a fair catch of illegals trying to make a scene. So be it.
Karma can be very interesting…

Unhinged Dem senator…
Governor Ken-Doll’s political career is finished. And for those who believe the democrats will take the House in ‘26, think again. Each day they become more depraved. They’re cooked.
We best not count our chickens before they hatch.
Yes, the American public may be a bit more awake now than in 2020, we still have a massive Propaganda Parrot Media complex to battle. Until they are stripped of their broadcast licenses by the FCC, they will continue to drive the narrative.
I have said since day one of the incoming Presidency, that the big four broadcast news agencies need to be stripped of their broadcast licenses, since they are not meeting their obligation to serve the public interests. Until this happens and their lies are silenced, they will continue to lie and not be held accountable.
I think the second we do that, we look just like the Europeans -at least that’s what the narrative will be both here and abroad. IF every network cannot get equal time for opposing viewpoints for every event/topic, EVERY time, then fine the SOBs into oblivion.
For the rest, it may be better to enforce labeling of the content both before, during and after airing broadcasts. Ex “Opinion Commentary” “Panel Opinions are mostly Unsourced” and so on. These need to be large text banners that flag the lower third for at least ~20% of the runtime.
Dear God, I couldn’t have expressed it better than you have.
Does it matter?
Fried.
Current LA riots sure make use of Alien Enemies Act seem *Really* prescient and appropriate right about now!
For expedited deportations the USA PATRIOT Act is the champion. Once branded terrorists, out they go.
Wonder what percent of money sent home to Mexico is extorted…I mean “taxed.”
Good. Kick their ass. Survivors get deported.
I hope newscum is arrested.
That will stir the rats nest up and maybe more will be deported.😡
Obama operates like satan, in the background.
Busted!!!
Initiate an immediate 20% tax on remittances to Mexico. I doubt many of the senders are filing US Tax returns, so paying a tax when they send remittances is very fair.
Dems fighting for the illegals for census count, House seats, electoral college votes, federal money
This remittance issue confuses me. If most people have financial issues, cannot save money, cannot make their bills, etc., why would Mexican legal/illegals have all this money to send back to Mexico??
Because they live ten to a house and everybody works -off the books- while collecting supplemental, taxpayer-funded gubmint services.
VDare covered this for years.
They work their backsides off. But if young American men could go across the border to Mexico or Canada and do construction jobs, come back across into America and have the money be worth 20 times worth as much here, they’d do it too.
Again, why focus so much time and effort and blood on street goons and zero effort on the money men and organizations behind these orchestrated insurrections that are tearing our nation apart? We have Palantir so we don’t need the excellent assistance of “Data Republican.” We know where Soros and his organizational chart of pathological marxists live. Something is not computing. Stop the funding. Stop the organizing. Deflate the communication bubble. Doesn’t anyone want to terminate this?
So you support the police state and palantir as long as your guy is in control?
SIASD
This is the most retarded frame of reference. Have we learned nothing from the patriot act?
Granted, the use and exploitation of control programs like Palantir and the Patriot Act are indeed evil, but if our nation’s survival could be advanced by their use then I say do it. And do it till it hurts. As an aside, I point to the total obliteration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Make sense, now?
If FEDGOV won’t terminate this activity, but CONTINUE TO FUND IT through grants and direct funding, they are playing both sides against each other.
I hope everyone remembers the constituency that Gov. Bateman chose when things got hot.
Remember the people he chose. He didn’t choose you, that’s for sure.
A more cynical look at this situation is that we export dollars–and we have a huge trade surplus with Mexico, and Mexico is having supply chain issues with us.
I think the fact that THIS time we’re fighting back is scaring the beejeezus out of a lot of people.
I wonder if these riots are a smokescreen in some small way
(I know they also serve their own purpose of destabilizing
the country and also attempt to put a stain on President Trump)
what is going on in Ukraine?
I say we end them first…
NO MERCY!
SMEAC…
Semper Vivium
Well, the big question would be “what would happen to the Mexican economy if Trump froze those remittances for say, 30-days?” Would that shock their economy? Also, can’t the US impose a tax on those remittances of say, 5%, and use that to reduce the national debt?
So, Sundance, what is the solution?? Now that the enemy is identified, what now? I’m extremely worried.
Two points: 1. Why isn’t the administration enforcing 8 USC Section 1324 in regards to illegals? This law has been on the books since the 1950s, and targets those who provide aid & comfort to illegals in any way, shape, or form. Arrest a few landlords and CEOs and poof — problem solved.
2. Why aren’t we taxing remittances at an exorbitant rate, making it financially unproductive to work here? What about tax rates of 60-75%?
Jeff Childers (Coffee and Covid on Substack) notes that two days before LA riots started, the Mexican President gave a fiery speech in which she told Mexicans it was time to “to mobilize” in opposition to the 5% tax on remittances. Gee, it’s just about the money, as usual, and not about “inhumane ICE agents”? Shocking.
Jeff also notes that Mexico levies a 16% federal tax (plus local taxes and fees) on all the remittances that the U.S. lets go out untaxed. Those who are working here, using our roads, healthcare, schools pay income tax to Mexico, not the U.S.. No. remittances should leave the US without withholding federal income tax or proof that federal taxes were withheld.
Only in America can you have the US government paying law enforcement to fight against the protesters being funded by the same US government through DHS grants to the NGOs. And then pay a third time when they are prosecuted and pay a fourth time if they are incarcerated. Although the last two steps are unlikely.
Don’t forget we get to pay for the clean-up and re-building process too! Oh Joy!!
One has to assume/hopes that the admin has contingency plans resourced and ready to execute to deal with cartel “initiatives” coordinated by the Mexican gov’t.
“Obama would remove the healthcare liability from the union retirement by creating nationalized healthcare, Obamacare.”
I was always against Obamacare, I had people telling me I couldn’t do math, and repeating the talking point about the young healthy men who don’t go to the doctor being the problem, etc., bu I was unaware of this particular facet of the issue until I read this from a guy called Sundance at the Treehouse.
I was able, with that piece of information, to tie it into something that was happening locally, and from there, to give a concrete example of what Obamacare was really about, and it informed someone with a lot more reach than I had.
If I recall correctly, the Marines based at 29 Palms are the OpFor (opposing forces) for the training base there.
Even for Marines, these guys are tough.
And I can tell you exactly how this remittance fraud works. This fraud has been a part of dairying here in the Central Valley of California. The Dairyman hires illegal workers, they have families and move into free dairy housing. They do not marry because the wife and all the children are collecting welfare benefits. I was helping a friend go over his insurance needs for his dairy. I said this can’t be right you have at least 6 permanent employees. He said no, the family stays on welfare because they get better insurance, including dental and vision with no co=pays. and food stamps and cash assistance. I made him angry when I said so in other words I’m paying for your workers and you save money using my tax dollars..does that seem right to you? I’m ready to pay more for a tomato, more for milk and fresh fruit, if that’s what happens when a businessman pays his own way. California is probably beyond being helped.
It turns out cheap labor is pretty expensive, doesn’t it? It’s just that most of the costs of this “cheap” labor end up getting socialized. These subsidies are effectively subsidies for low productivity, low wealth creation industries.
Somebody should interview Pat Buchanan. He would be fully justified in saying “I warned you – now you get what you deserve because you could have stopped this years ago.”
For even more useful context, $64.74 billion represents about 3.5% of Mexican GDP as of 2024. Suddenly losing all of those remittances would certainly result in a fairly substantial recession for them.
I’ll supply the Windex so they can wipe the Lunatics’ blood off their shiny bayonets.
What is the likelihood that a District Judge will block Trump’s activation of the CNG? Would SCOTUS affirm the restraining order or quash it?
Slowly inching towards martial law. I wish…
Please, give me the clear signal to take this Mexican Flag waving invader out. That bastard needs put down. Invaders. Enemies. I’d love to quarter his head in the 20x scope of my suppressed 300 WinMag and then release the pain. I took an oath: All Enemies Foreign and Domestic.
In addition, Mexico charges a 16% tax on remittances into the country.
