I’m sorry, but when I finally got around to review the appearance of King Charles in the Canadian Parliament, I could not get past the optics on display.
My background thoughts are HERE, but boy howdy does this picture encapsulate the dynamic.
And yes, King Charles waxed eloquently in both French and English about the terrible issue that Canadian sovereignty is facing.
The same issue, albeit to a lesser -but increasing- extent, is the core impetus between U.S. President Trump’s manufacturing policies in the USA. President Trump is urgently attempting to rebuild a collapsed industrial manufacturing base. However, from the leftist position of Canada, the easier route that affords them the ability to chase the green energy rainbows is to retain a dependency manufacturing model. These are political decisions.
At the core of this dynamic you will find the reason why President Trump is likely to dissolve the U.S/Mex/Canada (USMCA) trade agreement and instead turn toward two independent bilateral trade agreements between the USA-Mexico and USA-Canada. Extend this reasonably accurate predictive economic reality to its logical conclusion and you see why the U.K wants to help bolster Canada.
In the battle against President Trump’s economic ferocity, Canada is relying on the friendly, duplicitous and influential mask work by Great Britain.

Actually, you can learn to read Russian in an afternoon if you memorize their alphabet. The letters are each pronounced the same in all words. No odd variations as in English. Many of the letters resemble Greek letters, so if you’re a member of a “Greek” fraternity/sorority, that will help! Also, many words are Russified versions of English words, which if you read them aloud, you will quickly understand the gist.

With regard to the video of the Russian supermarket – I suspect the cheap prices after being converted to the U.S. dollar is offset by lower income averages in Russia. For example if all the prices are 80% lower on average we have to ask how much lower on average are incomes.
That is an upscale supermarket in Moscow, not a typical market in Vologda. It would be like comparing an upscale market in Washington (not one from a poor area, one for the rich) and a Piggly Wiggly in Orangeburg.

Camilla had deep blue on. She has been having issues with her back, that was very noticeable by her walking. I was praying she would not fall, as on a couple occasions her leg almost gave out. I would not wish that on anyone, been there and right to the hospital I went. Thank God all went well for her, she also has been battling bronchitis.
It is still dark and dreary. What that has to do with her health issues, I don’t know. She still could have lightened up the outfit.
Camilla is 70-something, a bit older than Charles. She’s got that hunched-over neck that her tailors try to disguise with shoulder pads that extend over her chest so her “stoop” is not so prominent. Charles does have good posture, as did his mother. Camilla managed to go up the stairs to the plane slowly and carefully. She is athletic/horsey and so is he, which is part of the reason they’ve been a couple for a long time. Shared interests, dontcha know;-) Charles was too chicken to ask her to marry him way back when, causing decades of heartbreak, for himself and his Kingdom.

Actually, wearing a medal with a business suit is acceptable in certain situations, such as the Medal of Honor at a veterans or other functions.
I don’t recall, but I believe Congress actually passed a law in which military medals can be worn with civilian attire at certain functions, or on certain dates such as Veterans Day.
My point above is that his medals likely don’t match up with his military service, and are the usual medals handed out to high functionaries in British Government.

At least since the late 1950s, that’s as far back as I can remember, the Canadian Prairie (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) has talked about statehood. BC always fancied independence and has the geography to do it. Leaving Ontario aside, the rest of Canada is a disaster: French Quebec, the dismal Maritimes, the remote Newfoundland/Labrador, and the wilderness of the North. If Alberta separates, Sask & Man will quickly follow.
