President Donald Trump is confronting the dragon behind the panda mask with precision. It’s very obvious the prior reconnaissance, trade probes and tariff tests of ’17, ’18, ’19, are paying dividends.
President Trump has cut off the transnational shipping lanes by globalizing the tariffs against China. Beijing is in a forced holding pattern waiting to see the outcome of Southeast Asia and European trade agreements.
Having spent some serious time in the field in advance of ‘Liberty Day’ all of my contacts have the same message; China is trying to find position.
In a little reported reality, in order to offset the problem, many Chinese manufacturers have actually continued the production of several branded product lines (very well-known and established brands) despite the absence of orders for the finished goods from the companies.
Several shipments of those finished goods have started to arrive at China-partnered ports. This is very interesting, because it may lead to market dumping of a higher quality product than most anticipate.
Within the apparel sector, ASEAN consumers cannot afford the fashion branded product at the prices determined by the actual brand owners. However, there is now a strong likelihood -based on what is being reported by the receivers- that the product itself will be marketed -likely dumped- without the brand label. This is actually high-quality apparel distributed for a fraction of the price of the brand.
I’ll be getting more details on this soon, however, it looks like the broad outlines are verified by multiple sources. I’ll use some fake names to explain.
China is sending finished “branded” goods to the Philippines, without labeling. The receiving company awaits instructions.
Ex. “Lululemon” products arrive finished, but missing labels – the product is identical, but the IP is now stripped. The product, a summer or fall lineup, is then rebranded “Opal” apparel (fake name example) made in Philippines, packaged in a similar high-end fashion and shipped to USA where a new -mostly online- branded and marketed store sells the items. The marketing is done through a massive purchase of digital ad space on social media, with big incentives for fashion influencers.
The current holding point (screwing up the works for Beijing) is the unknown future U.S. tariff rate against Philippines; but the manufacturing and subsequent inventory buildup is happening. I am told this same process is happening in small durable goods, albeit at a slower pace.
The Chinese delegation currently running through Europe, is prepositioning for a sector-by-sector severely discounted manufacturing operation.
The goal is to secure purchase contracts at prices that simply cannot be ignored given the scale of the increase in profit margin being offered. This is not a black-market operation per se’, this is a dark market strategic play with massive financial incentives for aligning.
Meanwhile, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Jamieson Greer have begun meetings in Geneva with a Chinese delegation led by Vice Premier He Lifeng. A motorcade of black cars and vans was seen coming and going from the home of the Swiss ambassador to the United Nations.
Talks between the U.S. and China are being moderated/facilitated by the Swiss (think finance sector motive) and taking place in the 18th-century “Villa Saladin” overlooking Lake Geneva. The optics of the discussion are grand; the estate was given to the Swiss in 1973.
Playing the role of Panda, Mrs Sun Yun, director of the China program at the Stimson Center, said it is the first time Lifeng and Bessent have talked. However, given the position of President Trump comfortably willing to wait-out the dragon thrashing, panda Sun doubts the Geneva meeting will produce any substantive results.
BEIJING (Reuters) -China’s factory-gate prices posted the steepest drop in six months in April while consumer prices fell for a third month, underlining the need for more stimulus as policymakers grapple with the economic toll from a trade war with the United States.
A prolonged housing market downturn, high household debt and job insecurity have hampered investment and consumer spending, keeping deflationary pressures alive. Now, the economy is also facing increasing external risks from trade barriers.
[…] “Even if China and the U.S. can make progress and cut tariffs in trade negotiations, tariffs are unlikely to go back to the level before April,” Zhang added. “More proactive fiscal policy is necessary to boost domestic demand and address the deflation problem.”
[…] The Chinese government is implementing a wide range of measures to stimulate consumption across different sectors and last week announced a raft of stimulus measures, including interest rate cuts and a major injection of liquidity.
As the trade war between the world’s two largest economies weighs on exports, China’s retail giants, including JD.com and Alibaba-owned Freshippo, have initiated measures to help exporters pivot to the domestic market. That could further depress prices as business and consumer confidence remain subdued due to the uncertain outlook. (read more)
Beijing does have a consumption base within China; however, that consumption is dependent on income. If the Chinese factory workers are not working, they do not have income to spend; the proverbial catch-22. Hence, the continued manufacturing, shipping and inventory buildup being described as arriving in ASEAN nations (Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, etc.).
I suspect we are about to witness the largest global dumping operation in the history of consumer goods.

Jesus thought they were worth dying for.
Be careful.
Amen
Communists aren’t people, Matt.
“Unhuman”
Isn’t that what the “mustache man”
during WWII thought about certain
groups of people? That they weren’t
people?
Many, including myself, view him as
one of the most evil people of the
last century.
🤷♀️ 💁♀️ 🤐 🤐 🤐
fauxi offed and maimed more innocents than a.h.
by orders of magnitude
Agree yet in recent years I feel that I am dealing with soulless or sold their soul people which kinda does make them incomplete humans No?
Hitler may have been the most evil person of the LAST century But if you’ve paid attention to what’s been going on around the world, notably, Syria, and Nigeria… There are people in this century that are giving the devil a run for his money. Christian of all faiths are being slaughtered.
So evil he was allowed to live in Argentina?
https://www.jpost.com/omg/article-850980
So evil his followers lived in the USA “Operation Paperclip”
Yet here we are calling the Chinese people “Unhuman”. Not the ruling party, but the people.
NOT THE CHINESE PEOPLE — about 100,000 COMMUNISTS that comprise the totally evil tyranny !
Even fewer Laowai behind that.
Both Mao and Stalin had Hitler beat in evil and body count.
Then many, yourself included, are truly ignorant about the nature of “history”!
That’s okay, you’re free to be wrong.
Of course they are. So we’re the thief on the cross, the demon possessed, and the elites who killed Christ. In fact, The book of Acts records that the first believers had a form of “communism”. It didn’t work for them and many of them had known Christ in person. I wish communists to transfer their faith from government forced “equality” to Christ.
Big big difference between voluntarily living in a communal manner like many early Christians and leading a violent revolution to force collectivism onto others like communists.
Communists are people. Their Government/Religion is corrupt, cruel, & violent, but they are human beings. People.
Most of the more than 1 Billion Chinese are unlikely to be Communist if they could simply vote it out without repercussions. They are simply real People, trying to survive a deviant, criminal government. That should ring a bell after the past 4 years of Obama 3 & the ongoing Shadow Gov Deep State attacks we’re witnessing, daily, here.
If you call their children bugs & unpeople, they will do the exact same to yours. All you will get is blood and devastation as both sides stomp the life out of one another’s posterity. This is NOT the way.
They are but demon-possessed.
We must die to ourselves before we can live in the reality of true “life”, which is walking with Jesus.
.
May President Trump is an instrument of the Lord to break the heart of stone of these Red-Chynese.
.
Often significant confrontation of the heart and soul is what brings us to HIM.
.
And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
.
Lord prick all of the hearts of people across the globe, even the leaders of China!
CCP views Christianity an enemy like we view communism
The Chinese people, working in factories, are not bad people. They are oppressed by a communist regime. The people do not have hearts of stone. The regime needs to be shattered by the people. Trump will help facilitate this.
I will anger the “nuture v. nature” people who believe that society and parents can change behavior “if only they had a chance,” but the Chinese are, by and large, a rather compliant people genetically.
Selective breeding over millennia.
Compliant? How many in our population walked on DC on Jan 6?
“Chinese are, by and large, a rather compliant people genetically.”
That’s quite a sweeping generalization. Anything to back it up?
Ever heard of the Chinese Revolution?
From 1911 to the 1950s, Chinese people were anything but compliant.
They overthrew a centuries old absolute monarch dynasty, set up a republic, split the republic, fought Western colonizers/invaders in the Boxer Rebellion, fought Japanese colonizer/invaders, and then fought a civil war till the communists finally came out on top.
Tens of millions of Chinese died or were killed during this time.
The communists carried out a Cultural Revolution in the 1960s that pretty much forced all to be compliant to Chairman Mao’s political/social/cultural thought.
But compliant “genetically?” You’re paying attention to the wrong sources.
Interesting that certain global conspirators saw them as their ideal servant race.
To be cultivated whilst all others were killed off.
You’ve pushed this supposed genetic predisposition to submission and servitude quite a bit in recent weeks for some reason.
🤔
The Chinese people have a long history of rising up in rebellion against their rulers when those rulers have “Lost the mandate of Heaven.”
They also have a long history of being brutally repressed and slaughtered by those rulers if rebellions fail.
I would say they are by and large cautious not compliant.
That is insulting to good Christians.
Part of the bargain of Jesus dying on the cross was that the people he died for have to repent, accept him as their savior, and live a life representative of the morals and values of Christ our Savior.
Communists will most likely, never get to Step 1 of repentance.
So right now, they are in the Lake of Fire line with no intentions of getting out of it.
Don’t try to make a moral equivalent between the saved soul of a Christian and a satan-loving, people killing communist.
Is God’s word insulting?
Luke 23:39-43
New King James Version
39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, [a]“If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”
40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said [b]to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Matthew 7:5
English Standard Version
5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
John 8:7
New King James Version
7 So when they continued asking Him, He [a]raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”
I never said that. I said that equating good Christians with communists is insulting. Don’t twist my words.
John 8:7
Yes. The one criminal saw/recognized the innocence of Jesus and repented. The other didn’t. Do you see the difference? Do you see how simple it was for the one who repented and how the other stubbornly mocked Jesus?
Don’t equate those two criminals. One was not so hard hearted to see salvation and the other one was too cold to take the Grace offered to him.
“God thought they were worth dying for”.
Hopefully ” they” realize it and emulate Him.
“Pick up your cross and follow Me”.
Since Jesus died but was Risen, death no longer has to be fatal.

There were no communists 2000 years ago.
Maybe in a different manner?
Jesus died for ALL God’s children…we must remember that the communists are Children of God…misguided, but still belong to the Lord whether the Chinese or commies like it or not. Jesus triumphed for all…and over the evil one. The rest of the commies just haven’t caught up with Christianity yet.
Be careful of what? They had plans to end us. Do not give me that theological bullsh-t in a middle of a war. For over 30 years I read about the the development of Chinese weapon systems design to kill us specifically.
And, then some body in the middle of this intensity comes out and try to disarm us with our beliefs?
It is time for Charles Martel, the Polish Hussars, yes, Vlad the impaler and not Mother Theresa.
They need to start in Europe for that as well.
The vast majority of communists are atheists, i.e., NOT believers. They don’t benefit from Jesus’ sacrifice until they are saved by believing in Christ.
100%. Our efforts need to be conversion, not elimination.
There will always be some who refuse, but the effort is always worth it.
China is sitting on the Biggest Bursting Real Estate Bubble in the World’s History. RE is 20% of the economy and it has been crashing for a few years. Overbuilding, Ghost Cities, and Developer Bankruptcy after Bankruptcy.
Throw in the President’s move for fairness in trade. It is a problem that cannot be solved. Chinese goods have to be moving to every country that is still open for Chinese goods. Any country that wants to make a deal and relabel when the dust settles. China’s cheapest way out is to cheat even more than they do now.
The CCP has maneuvered themselves into a corner. They treated their customers like they treat their “proles”. Finally An American Hero stood up and said I am the customer. Your corruption, cheating, and evil must stop.
The CCP top leaders or oligarchies, they just don’t care. Because the big chunks of trade surplus or dollars are sitting in western banks or offshore companies.
Wasn’t there a WSJ story, years ago, about the Princelings and the ~ 40 families that ‘own’ all of China?
I just purchased a new Shark vacuum as the other fancy Shark vacuum’s “no tangle brush roll” stopped brushing and rolling 5 months in. I am sending it back to the Shark people as I was sure to save the box am molded cardboard inserts because I knew this would happen. My brother has a boneyard of 60 inch flat screen tvs from WalMart. They last about 11 months.
I told him to take them to Best Buy to recycle them for the gold and copper.
I am sick and damn tired of toxic ready made junk.
I have no doubt that Best Buy is loving its recycling with the current cost of metals, particularly gold. Those that know what they are doing can make a very pretty penny doing it, especially with older electronics which often used gold plating on connectors and even gold plated PWB traces.
Curious what brands your brother buys that give out in 11 months.
“Those that know what they are doing can make a very pretty penny doing it,…”
…- Aqua Regia is your friend, here… 😉
What ever is on sale the day his other TV gives up the ghost, I’m sure.
The big question is what do they do with that black flame retardant plastic?? That stuff is beyond toxic.
Excellent question. Most such black plastic is recycled, toxic, and what’s considered a dead-end plastic (can’t be recycled again). Much of it ends up in piles overseas in undeveloped countries and ultimately in some cases, the ocean based upon multiple investigations into the question.
Accepted at Best Buy storesRecycling is intended for residents only. Products from businesses and organizations, or items that present a health or safety hazard are not accepted.
Products we recycle for free in store:Limit three items per household per day (including a limit of two TVs per household per day). TVs not meeting the size criteria listed below must utilize a haul-away service option.
Products we recycle in store for a $29.99 fee per item:Limit two TVs per household per day. TVs not meeting the size criteria listed below must utilize a haul-away service option.
There are no store drop-off fees in California. Stores in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan accept TVs (50″ and smaller) with the $29.99 drop-off fee; customers in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan will be given a $30 Best Buy Gift Card as reimbursement for the store drop-off fee. Stores in Connecticut accept only Insignia and Dynex TVs (50″ and smaller) for drop-off.
We need Sears Kenmore and Craftsman products…
Sorry Aggie but Craftsman went full Chinese owned and made years ago. When I started mechanic work it was high quality, now it’s just a name placed on cheap stuff.
The brand is owned by CT company Stanley Black&Decker. As far as where any branded (Craftsman, DeWalt, Stanley, Black&Decker) product is actually manufactured, probably mostly in Asia though I guess Craftsman storage systems might be US made.
Made in America only.
Only the original, made-in-the-US. Not the chynese crap out there now!
There’s an interesting hypothesis regarding the real estate situation that is quite plausible and the type of thing those who play the long game (most Asians) would employ.
A large part of the real estate building craze was funded by foreigners. The CCPP then intentionally crashed the market, putting companies in bankruptcy, and thus absconding with all the investment dollars (from a national perspective they bought materials, paid for labor, etc. adding to Chyna’s wealth), as well as weakening their enemies (the countries the investors are from).
Iirc this was also the theory over at Zerohedge at the time of the Bill Hwang/Archegos Capital Management meltdown debacle, a few years back…
… – The Chicoms deliberately inserted a live hand grenade up the posterior of the US capital markets, then ordered Hwang to pull the pinout…
…- Credit Suisse, Nomura, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley were the most notable casualties, eating Billions in losses in the process, after bets on ViacomCBS, in the form of hyper-leveraged credit swaps, suddenly went south, triggering a margin-call cascade throughout Archegos’ other, similarly hyper-leveraged bets…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archegos_Capital_Management
Had heard it on a financial podcast discussing the macro level of the financial war that’s been raging. It might have been the author of the piece – can’t say one way or another, as I missed that ZH article.
…- This was back in ’21 – They had some fine-ass analytical articles up, but now they’re stuck behind ZH’s archive paywall (And I don’t have ZH premium)…
…- On a (not entirely unrelated) side-note, all you need to know about ‘Event Covid’ was that the global banking system went into meltdown, mid-September of 2019 (‘Repo-geddon’)… – ‘Covid’ was (amongst other things) a financial system bailout by stealth…

Like your last paragraph especially, Terry. They initially judged us all by the likes of Carter, the Bushes, Clinton, obama, etc., as gullible and spineless . And laughed up their sleeves as their products deliberately became more and more shoddy over the years even as their prices went up.
Thank you THANK YOU President Trump for standing up for our Big Beautiful Country and for We the Citizens of the USA!!!
One argument I always hear from the anti-tariff crowd is that China has massive leverage over the US because they hold so many bonds and debt.
I don’t think Sundance has ever addressed this.
Thoughts?
We own 2/3rds of our own debt to begin with, so Chy-nah’s leverage is a pittance in comparison.
Recent numbers by country can be found here:
https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/who-owns-us-debt-2025-02-10/
Chyna has 2% total.
Thank you Harrison…bill
why are bonds bought
because the Dollar is a good thing to have due to its value
countries can used bond dumping for political reasons like what was done when the tarriffs were announced. To influence congress to work on behalf of china. the scare didnt work and the stock market is just fine, but it did give the Federal Reserve a fake excuse to not lower rates.
if countries are devaluing their currency to compete with us, then having an investment in the US dollar via bonds is a good plan to maintain their money
If there is (from US perspective) a “deficit” in trade in goods, that implies there is a “surplus” in currency or other financial USD assets. Having a trade “surplus” in USD allows the USD to act as a reserve currency or “petro-dollar”.
China has been dumping US Treasuries for many years now. Perhaps Trump will decouple from China, so as our Treasuries will not have to payout billions to the Chinese. This is part of the trade imbalance. Our interest payments are to foreign masters.
Prior to BRICS the world was on a US$Dollar currency so all nations paid in Dollar for oil, etc and bought Treasuries to hold their Dollars.
Our world money system is bi-furcating into a post USD money system. Nations are now trading and by-passing the world Dollar system. I think there is a back story to our tarriffs and trade wars that are in play.
“prior to BRICS…. was on”
I think we are still it… and they know better. hence the india US deal
Think of it as two cars racing head on towards each other. China needs to buy US Treasury bonds to keep the value of their currency low with respect to exports to maintain industry so that a billion Chinese are occupied and not searching for food in dumpsters resulting in a revolt that topples the ChiCom regime. The US needs to sell Treasury bonds so they can pay off maturing bonds plus interest, and to fund government spending, plus to stave off a great depression if forced to buy back overseas dollars. Both cars have little room for error, which is why China is engaging in these talks to begin with. In the past, China would never talk unless they win (not lose, not draw). But now Trump is in the driver’s seat of the oncoming car.
If china needs the US market more than the US needs china, then if they are smart enough, china will want to make a deal. It is sad that PDJT is the first US president smart enough to realize this.
China has $800 billion in dollars. Not enough to be a problem
They dump our devt and we can exclude from our monetary systems.
They are trying to exclude from our system….it’s called “BRICS” they are meeting soon.
Slim chance with most of the world’s economies currently being shuffled due to PDT’s trade policies that the BRICS bunch with get to uppity. When the US dollar was being crushed by the Demented Fraud’s economic ignorance and continued US debt building, BRICS had more momentum. Right now 80% of the US trading partners are fighting to get into or stay in the US market. BRICS currently doesn’t have much leverage
Trump already warned them. And Biden is the blame for brics..
That should be a very interesting meeting. The current events in India and Pakistan will make for some spirited table talk I’m sure.
I believe they are preparing to float that BRICS bit coin, back by a basket of currencies and glorious shiney gold! The gold angle seems to be its biggest selling point with regards to backing — the BRICS nations’ currencies certainly aren’t that lustrous.
We’ll have to wait and see how that turns out.
I remember seeing a chart once that showed Japan held more US debt than China does…I think? 🤔
I found it…from 2022…Japan $1.1T / China $867B.
Yes – see the link I provided earlier in the conversation.
They have “massive leverage” so we can’t beat them?

Forget China – This is the REAL Enemy in America’s Crosshairs: Tom Luongo
The reason why China has so few treasuries is that they have been investing their excess in the Belt & Road Initiative to try and circumvent the US Navy’s potential choke points in the South China Sea / Strait of Malacca.

So if we unilaterally repudiate our debt what exactly will China do?
On the other hand the Fed inflation forced on the world IS repudiating the debt in slow motion.
“When you owe the bank 100 dollars, that’s your problem. When you owe the bank 100,000,000 dollars, that’s the bank’s problem.”
Treasuries and bonds have maturity dates, they are not payment on demand. China can sell them to anyone that wants to buy them….heck we might buy some ourselves, but thinking they have some kind of Sword of Damocles hanging over our neck is not reality at the moment.
Also China owns a lot of our land/real estate. This worries me A LOT!! In my opinion, no other country should EVER OWN so much as a square inch of the United States of American!!!!! I wish President Trump and his administration would seriously address this problem (along with all the other problems they inherited).
Me too!!!

Japan is the largest holder of Treasury debt, $1.1 trillion. But as far as “leverage”, the debt is paid in USD. So if they want to sell that debt, they have to find someone who wants dollar-denominated assets. And what currency will be used for the transaction? USD?
This might be a boon for those who love ‘designer’ stuff.
But in Sundance’s scenario if there isn’t the brand recognition they don’t care about the product. Like if Lululemon pants don’t have that tag they won’t care about how good quality they are. It’s only the clout they feel they get from wearing something with “Dior” or “Versace” on it. Beautiful Dior purse with Dior name gone instead dumped from brandless company appeals to different demographic at much lower cost. Silly social engineering on the part of megacorporations
I can see a black market for designer label knockoffs.
Knockoffs? Don’t you mean “counterfeit”?
“Knockoffs” is an old apparel industry term (still in use) for imitation and counterfeit items; manufactured without the designer / trademark owners’ license. It’s also used outside the apparel industry but that’s where it originated. Knockoffs are more often a cheap imitation, lacking features and/or quality found in the original branded items that were copied.
But what Sundance has highlighted are the genuine items but without the branding applied, which makes them counterfeit unless the manufacturing license permits copies without branding (would seem unlikely).
Counterfeit is stuff that claims to be original but is not. This is stuff which IS original, but does not claim to be. It may be some sort of crime, but it is not counterfeiting.
If a factory that makes some private label goods for some one else, also sells such goods under a different brand, it is not necessarily a crime. Only if the agreement was exclusive manufacturing would selling same goods differently be actionable in some way.
It’s China we are talking about. They will probably sell the product without a logo and then sell ready-to-apply brand-named logo badges right next to it. (wink wink)
They already do that, or make knock offs with logos that look kinda sorta like the original.
They’re also already going to social media (Tik Tok) and marketing ‘buy designer direct’, but the items in question aren’t logo-less designer items but really cheap knock-offs. So, they are looking to not only dump but to expand this avenue.
So now they’ll mark up Shein and Temu because people will think its Lululemon and Dior without the labels and tagging.
Think about marketing and brands for a moment. No one that loves designer stuff buys high quality unbranded stuff. Brand names do 2 things for people 1st it gives that person the ability show off that they are something or someone. 2nd in their mind the brand name is a indicator of quality.
Yeti mugs are a perfect example. Stainless Steel mugs are ubiquitous. Yeti and all the other knock off name brands are identical. Cost are all over the board. So why buy Yeti? Why is Yeti the best? Yeti is not the best. The knock off ones Walmart and Bass Pro sell are made in the same Chinese sweat shop. Only difference is Yeti marketed their product and people bought it.
Oriental folks are the biggest buyers of designer labels WITH the label showing. It’s all a status thing. Nothing but foolishness, if you have common sense, that is.
My wife and I have always avoided being shallow, brand-conscious status seekers. To us that is a huge waste of money for material things even when one can afford it. But people spend their own money the way they want to.
Ditto.
My favorite designer brand – “Member’s Mark”, sold exclusively at Sam’s Club!
Hahahahahaahahahahaha……………….
Realize that the logos and tags on that designer stuff are frequently assembled here in the U.S. That means American workers are doing that job. Granted, not a high paying nor glamorous job, but it’s what those people have to pay the bills.
If the stuff gets dumped, then those workers are going to suffer.
While I personally could care less about overpriced vanity pieces by companies like Lululemon, I don’t want to see people who can ill afford any less money in their pockets suffer. Yes, people are disgustingly wed to ‘designer stuff’ to the detriment of others as well as themselves (the cost to quality is often wildly disproportionate; there are very few ‘high quality’ item that truly deserve that title).
The lasting cure would be to onshore production so the logo-heads could get their fix without hurting American workers, but I’m afraid greed is a heavy braking system.
It’s a shame most of the world isn’t working towards colonizing low Earth orbit, the Moon and Mars. We could move a lot of manufacturing and mining into Space and start moving a large chunk of the Earth’s population off Earth. Young people could be truly motivated to learn with real adventure as a reward.
I’m glad my Northern European ancestors didn’t see just danger and hardships after discovery of the New World, but reward, adventure and freedom.

You are so right about that
God exists in the heavens and we see him everyday and he’s calling us to come to him and on the way, forge a better life.
“Our Father who art in heaven…….. “
Go Elon go!!
If the Creator wanted us to inhabit other planets or moons He’d have put us there.. It is total folly to believe man can imitate God in creating an optimum environment equal to Earth for human, animal & plant life. But that’s what Satan boasted he would do – make himself as powerful as God. (Isaiah 14:13- 14)
Bari, we don’t want to be greater than our Creator, but with your thinking, we would still be creating fire with flint and steel. We are infants in our knowledge of the universe. In my blessed long lifetime, I have seen our discovered elements expand from 98 to 113, and electronics beyond even Tesla’s’ imagination.
So because I suggest that we were not created to live on other planets – or actually the inverse – the other planets were not created for human habitation, , you equate that to my wanting us to live in the Stone Age.
Expanding the Periodic Table through research or developing more sophisticated computer applications using basic digital electronics plus expanding the density of circuitry – is light years apart from trying to create an inhabitable planet out of rock, sand and gas.
Instead of spending immeasurable resources and energy to try to inhabit distant planets, why don’t the brainiacs figure out why this one is so f’d up and learn how to improve our existence here.
Otherwise the same satanic/ demonically influenced behavior that has infected this planet will also corrupt every other place where humans go.
Psalm 115:16 KJV
The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s : but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
Amen.

If there was an AI war we would need a space-force.
There’s a whole lot of truth to your statement. I often wonder why we dropped the ball, but we did the same to the Supercollider project in the early nineties. Sad.
After further research, the answer was the economy stupid. So, we decided to send millions and billions all over the world to incentive DEI concepts along with SESAMI Street. Go and try to figure. A huge setback for mankind for sure.
Maybe we should legalize marijuana, right? That would surely make us all wiser. S/
Stealing shoes is not a good example.
Finally I can afford Air Jordanians, sans swoop. LOL
We are talking about the luxury market. The scandal is that the luxury players from Europe are producing in China and shipping back to Europe then slapping on their labels in the various “Country Of Origin”. These are products are worth thousands of dollar per item in retail, but actual cost is probably well under 100$ to make in China.
Yes. If I was a brand snob then now would be a great time to scoop up an Hermes purse, Lululemon clothes, and a Chanel whatever.
Do a search for Lululemon clothes and you get this: We made too much!
https://shop.lululemon.com/c/we-made-too-much/n18mhd
Hermes leather goods not so much. They’re still made in France, hence the lawsuit. Of course, those leather goods are wildly expensive beyond the means of most people, but they are legit. Some of the other things they sell is debatable; notice the lawsuit was just pertaining to the leather goods I believe.
The others? Well, there may be good reason for the deafening silence from them. Busted perhaps?
Supposedly, Reagan ended the cold war by bankrupting the Soviet Union in an arms race that neither could afford.
Now comes Trump, ending the trade war by bankrupting China in a financial battle that neither can afford.
Interesting times!
Oh my. I certainly hope that China doesn’t become so broke that they can no longer afford to bribe our Congress critters. /s
Congress critters will have to take a bribe cut.
“CBI”
congresscritter bribe inflation/deflation index
…- I smell a lucrative futures/options market for making bets on the movements of that index…
That was sort of what I was thinking.
Maybe our trade delegation can get CCP to exert pressure on their serfs in our Congress to implement some spending cuts (as leverage toward minimizing the tariffs).
Yes I’m old enuf to remember clearly that very effective strategy of Reagan’s – altho (I suppose unsurprisingly) my liberal friends were in a frenzy. It was amazing to see the Soviet Union dissolved without a shot being fired. Great stuff.
Yes being friends with a liberal back then was actually a real possibility.
I remember, but that label does not match today’s Liberal by a long shot. Not even close.
And the presidents between Reagan and Trump aren’t smart enough to realize how useless they were. They were there for the perks?
Obama was in it to destroy our Government and society. The others for the prestige.
And to enrich themselves financially.
Obamas name will be branded in infamy. Mark my words.
Reagan understood that the USSR was a hollow shell, ready to collapse if pushed. Soviet propaganda was painting a false picture of Soviet strength, hiding the rot underneath. Meanwhile most “experts” were still touting how strong the Soviet economy was, how advanced their technology was, how prosperous their people were, etc.
Trump recognizes that China is ready to fall.
Trump is a remarkably interesting name for our president at this time, don’t you think? Poker anyone?
If you start a negotiation from a perspective of one party “wanting to inflict a crushing defeat on the others economy”, how well should we expect those negotiations to go?
Trade is not a zero sum game, and any agreement would have to originate in trust and respect and mutual profit.
Wanting to see a country burn – though I do not care for communism a lot – does look like the strange duck in that row.
China is a lot of things, but stupid I would assume is not a primary trait. I have mostly seen their government reps as collected, methodical, thinking ahead, structural and industrious on the world stage. I would also assume they are not illiterate and read the news. Just wanted to gauge what people would think is the output of the meeting with China.
Also I looked but I do not see that China initiated any upcoming talks in Switzerland (please post it if you have that resource), but what I could find is allegedly it was the US delegation that ultimately reached out first. That is not starting a negotiation from the maximum strength (as in “call on the phone crying”) position. Then if the US message is “Yes please sign this dotted line agreement that will crush your economy”….
If it works though it would make for a good Hollywood movie.
You have the wrong movie…
It isn’t, “Yes please sign this dotted line agreement that will crush your economy.”
It is, “We will allow your economy to be crushed if you don’t agree to terms that don’t crush our nation.”
As far as who started them? I remember a very loud statement from Chyna that there wouldn’t be any negotiations unless the US treated them better…yet here we are.
“allegedly”
I looked for any sources that could substantiate these passively aggressive anti American Trump claims but could find none.
Ironically, but unsurprisingly, these unsubstantiated, passive aggressively anti Trump claims were
preceeded by complaints about unsourced claims and reality rejecting straw men fantasys.
Even though there are countless video clips available online of both PDJT and Scott Bessant ie PRIMARY SOURCES that demonstrate how reality disconnected and perverted these fantasys are.
Leave the Cave, Bob. Reject the blue pills. Wake up. Join the fun. Before its too late.

Yes, they are smart. However, they are not bereft of stupidity themselves — greed and arrogance can make even the most intelligent very, very stupid.
They have gotten themselves into a situation that it will be incredibly hard for them to extricate. The U.S. has more flexibility — we can walk away; they cannot, not really, not for long.
Blanket wishes for death really should have no place in a civil society.
Communism is not embedded in the Communist’s DNA; they of the free will granted them by their Creator can repent and reform.
God can give you over to a reprobate mind. That can explain the condition of many in this country , in the face of truth with evidence to back it.
DNA does, however, determine behavior and one can be a good citizen yet rather compliant w/out being a communist.
DNA can also be targeted for genetic based biological weapons on Western Christian Y DNA Haplogroups that ostensibly are claimed to have escaped from labs in China, but from where the technology (gain of function & genetic sequencing for targeting) was developed in the US by domestic and foreign actors (at UNC/Duke) and weaponized by the two IC ‘players’ in the “Kitchen.”
Your Reply does not make a whole lot of sense. I do not even believe there is anything in a human DNA called Communism. No matter how you try to spin it or excuse your comment, I still say; That sort of blanket wish for the death of another human being, who is made in the image of G_d, and whom Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for, has no place in civil society.
Everyone knows that each person who is given the gift of life, no matter how long they live, will ultimately die in what seems like just the blink of an eye.
Perhaps its actually the reality deniers and “death” awareness suppressors who “really should have no place in civil society”.
And perhaps bossy Karens and Kens too.
Says the bot who gives out stupid lectures.
Who are you addressing? The Chinese or us? ‘Both’ as an answer is a cop out.
I am not pining for death. I am pining to be rid of the IC yoke in the form of the Chinese.
There are a lot of people working towards death and We the People have been incredibly tolerant. So, your words towards us sound like psychological manipulation and not sincere at all.
Save your nonsense for babies and dogs.

Sundance’s knack for a boffo headline exceeds even Drudge, (before he sold out and became a Trump hater), but then he does what many headlines don’t do, he backs up the bold font with what’s in the piece itself, which is eerily knowledgeable, (I say eerily when someone’s explanation of an issue is so complete it makes my head hurt.
So here I am, with a headache but happy as a clam!
Thanks, Sundance!
I was jubilant when I realized the scope of what President Donald J Trump is now going to do: Return the American System that the “Free Traitors” committed economic treason to install. Call it PDJT’s “MAGA-American System”
A Time For Truth About China
https://buchanan.org/blog/pjb-a-time-for-truth-about-china-299
“The “China market,” visions of which so intoxicate the Business Roundtable and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is an enduring myth dating back to the turn of the century when Secretary of State John Hay proclaimed an Open Door in China. Big Business slavered over the prospect of 400 million new customers. And how did Big Business benefit? Where China accounted for 1% of U.S. trade in 1900, that figure soared to 2% by 1930, with most of that in tobacco sales and cigarettes. The truth: China has never been an important export market; we sell more to tiny Singapore.
Last year, less than two percent of our exports went to China, but China ran up huge trade surpluses with us in electrical equipment, heavy machinery, footwear, furniture, apparel, clothing, leather and plastics.”
Inside every Communist is an American screaming to get out.
Perhaps China should allow their own average Chinese people to be successful enough to buy Chinese products. Their internal potential market is much larger than the USA.
They already have market capture in China — only the well off Chinese can buy anything foreign made due to their trade practices. The average Chinese person slaves away to afford the minimum of Shein and Temu level products (or worse). Their problem is that in the course of keeping the majority of their people so poor through low wages that benefit them on the export side (and import, no real trade coming in because not a huge market because poverty besides import restrictions) they’ve made it so the average Chinese can’t afford to pick up any slack in overproduction. It’s rather like what happened in the Soviet Union.
This should probably be a lesson for other countries, but wisdom appears to not be an economic nor political virtue.
No tickie – no laundry!
President Trump has had Chinas #, from day one.
First ooff using theirvown Oanda mask/dragon fsce against them has them totally discombobulated;
no how much rails on “Chyna is ripping us off! he always then reiterates how much respect he has fot the Chinese people and culture, and dorsn’t blame china, but our previous leaders, and emphasises great freindship with Xi.
All the while he’s dragon facing them wuth tariffs, etc. that threaten to bring their whole system down.
And what about all the “perishable goods” as in food, that is imported from Chyna,..hmm?
As President Trump is personally overseeing each trade deal, and will be settling up with the ASEAN Nations first, he can put anti-trans shipping clause
in each agreement.
President Trump can use TRADE, much as Reagan used economics against tge Soviets, to conqurer the CCP and WWF without firing a shot.
Instead of getting bogged down in a fruitless civil war ahainst the deep state at home, he is taking on and beating their sponsors abroad
“And I said, ‘Mr President, let me explain something to you’ – this was during dessert – ‘we’ve just fired 59 missiles.'”
Trump said Xi “paused for 10 seconds and then asked the interpreter to say it again. I didn’t think that was a good sign.”
But then, Trump said, Xi responded that “anybody that was so brutal and uses gases to do that to young children and babies, it’s OK…. He was OK with it. He was OK.”

“Free Trade” was truly enslaving the Chinese people and subsidizing the totalitarian rulers. George Kennan made the astute revelation that if the Soviet Union collapsed the military-industrial complex would have to invent a new enemy. This is what I believe they did when the Russian Orthodox Christians collapsed the Globalists beloved liberal lunatic asylum Soviet Union which caught them by surprise. Thus Council On Foreign Relations twilight language “New World Order” signaling the demolition of American manufacturing, the foundation of our prosperity, and independence, and the build up of their China, their new enemy.
Imo PDJT is “especially” thwarting their plans with China, America, Canada,Mexico, Panama, NATO,EU, & Russia. I believe if PDJT can form a new trade alliance with Russia it would be a mortal blow to our enemies.
Cut the New Silk Noose and build the ReOrient Express!
Hey Maq! When I discovered Sundance & the CTH I almost felt like there were very few people who thought like I did. Sundance & the CTH are the foundation of my own Populist America First ideology and source for real news and analysis. God bless him. And you are “A-Ok” as well my brother!

Danged glad to have you here, Brother C!
We are so blessed to have this refuge.
Works for me….
Once upon a time, during a Cold War far, far away there was a communist empire that went against most everything America stood for and a Europe with a people whose ideas were much like our own and which we had deep ties with.
That world doesn’t exist today and in the world as it currently exists Russia has more in common with us than the EU and UK do, both of which have governments and oligarchs who are our nation and her people’s true enemies and are the antithesis of our views and ideals as is underlined daily with their totalitarian methods that are far closer to that of the old USSR than are modern day Russia’s.
Agreed. PDJT oftentimes does Panda face to people while giving them Dragon face behavior.
He Panda faced Gretchen Whitmer.
It is similar to going into the interrogation room without a lawyer. As soon as the detectives tell you that they can see that you are a nice person and look like a good guy then you should know that you are in big, big trouble and you are about to be arrested.
EU, take note, cause your next on the menu, right behind CHYNA.
“Each trade agreement is ‘bespoke’ (custom taylored) hence the way he dessimates the CCP will not be exactly the same, as he devastates the EU, but the result will be just as debilitating.
He is using Trade as a way to directly ex cercise soft power, circumventing the deep State.
See the whole board, its about to get fun !!
America is the card game everyone wants and has to play at, and PDJT knows this, has the winning hand and is truly “America First”.
I have a nagging worry about the supply of our medicines being disrupted. I had a prescription ordered on Wednesday. Walgreens says it may be here Monday. I don’t need this medication to live but I’m in the minority. We really stepped in it when we let China make all our medications. It’s criminal. All of our medicines should be made HERE
I experienced for the first time ever major shortages of my medications when Biden was in office . Thankfully no problems whatsoever under Trump.
I wouldn’t worry UNLESS it doesn’t come in early next week .
6 months ago, my DIL needed amoxicillin for the grands ear infections…it was 2 weeks out…
I do not believe that for one moment Team Trump has forgotten about this issue. India makes pharmaceuticals so we can get them from India until we get our pharma products made in the USA. They will work out a deal with a non-communist country.
India produces more than China, but even India imports base materials from China.
The noticeable breakdown deals with types of pharmaceuticals. The US leads the world in development of new drugs and most patented pharmaceuticals are made in North America or Ireland. On the other hand India and China make almost all generic pharmaceuticals and China makes the majority of base materials.

Exactly right friend. I was greatly opposed to the Free Trade treason and was blown away when I realized that PDJT is actually going to return us to the American System which made our country prosperous and free.
It was also nice to read that PDJT’s America First roots go back to his college days at Wharton whose founder created the college for young business students to learn about the American System and spread it
The Forgotten American System

Loved how PDJT recently told the Alabama grads to build something besides a portfolio!
Great message to our future leaders!
Pride always goeth before a fall. China was full of themselves. Their disaster and dilemma is well deserved.
Related to finding work-arounds to the tariffs, Delta is flying new Airbus planes from France to Japan and then to the US to skirt the tariffs (“used” plane vs. a “new” plane).
An excerpt from a post at ZeroHedge: https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/new-delta-airbus-jet-makes-creative-detour-avoid-us-tariffs
One can lease a brand new French car for three weeks for the price of a rental, it will be waiting at the airport for you, and then it will be sold as used.
Quelle surprise they do it with planes now.
Can I order a Shelby Mustang that way?🤑
…- *EVERYTHING*’s a swizz, at this point… – E-VERY-THING.
Negotiations WILL resume tomorrow…
Great, great commentary.
Making a complex subject easier to understand.
Thank you, Sundance.
Let’s just see what effect this dumping has. How long can cheap labor support the massive losses sustained on so-called “brand names?”
My hope is the total failure of the system of intellectual theft that IS China.
And, of course, the collapse of the Godless communists.
Perspective on the Chyna negotiator…and reminder that Chyna doesn’t stick to agreements (they learned a lot from the EU).
So this may be my chance to get a Birken bag? Or an Hermes scarf?
I think ASEAN nations can expect the same tariffs as China, Since they are China.
Not so, not so at all. PDJT can cleave the ASEAN nations off from Chyna, in a fairly permAnent fashion.
Financial Times page on the transshipment of goods by Chyna…
Well, we could all stop buying stuff…buy only what is a true need?

Ad Rem,
If you or another Administrator did what I think you did about the; “The only good Communist” comment I am grateful.
Thank You!
That would be a great way to live life in general. 😉
Thank you, Sundance!
Buy American whenever you can and consider not buying or repairing if there are no US options.
@Russ said “The only good Communist is a dead one”, which I would presume, includes the hard leftist here who are joyfully destroying America’s democratic Republic. The left and their Communist & Fascists, of course, feel much the same about us.
That’s where they want us to go. They are of Satan. They are evil. They want to destroy. They generate hate. Hate causes murder. The constant tension and frustration of seeing innocents hurt, evil prospering, and many times at the hands of the very people WE ELECT TO REVERSE THIS, can lead us to hate. Or better, perhaps lead us to pray.
It leads us to hate, simply because we’re human. We’re vulnerable to evil, to the sin that results from evil, to more evil.
However, it’s wrong. It is not the people of CTH. Hate isn’t the heart of MAGA, and for those of us who are Christians, it’s antithetical to the cause of Christ. When Jesus said “Love one another” (John 13:34), he wasn’t talking about just his immediate disciples, or out friends and family. He was also talking about Communists, evil leftists, who create death and destruction. He was even talking about the traitorous, corrupt, (vast majority) elected GOP officials who are for sale to the quickest cash offer (or ego boosting promotion to higher office or position).
We can’t go there. We can’t expect good to proceed from evil, even if OUR “evil” is “well intentioned”, i.e. to stop other evil ones. Could I turn the other cheek when an ANTIFA clown put a bullhorn 16 inches from my ears and lets go, or when a team of 8 of them surround me to mock, attack, hurt, and possibly kill me? I’m not certain, but I know what the early Christian Stephen did in the face of the same evil. I know how Jesus reacted when he as assailed and ultimately murdered. I’d be praying for God to stay my hand and grant me His grace, whatever the results. (However, I absolutely KNOW what’d I’d do to defend an innocent person facing the same fate, and my actions would not be peaceful. So, there’s the rub.)
All I am saying, folks, is that we are not them. We are not for evil. We all “rant” at them in frustration and anger at some point. However, the REASON we are better than them, the only reason and validation, is because we intend to follow Christ’s admission to love one another, even our enemies. Love is not surrender. Love is not allowing evil to win and destroy unopposed. But opposition does not require hate.
I was always struck by stories of veterans, even within my own family, forced to kill as savagely as their immoral enemies, the Japanese and Germans. Yet after victory, there was no hate. I personally experienced a fishing trip with my Dad (a WWII Navy Corpsman embedded with the Marines), a Bataan march and 4 year POW survivor, and two US Army Japanese-America 442nd Nisei vets. Where there could have been animosity or bitterness (i.e. my dad’s family was German, too), there was none. There was a fellowship of equals and friends. Neither did any of them talk about the war or “the enemy” during the war. That was past, and these gentlemen at least, held no grudges.
That should be us, too. Many in the “MAGA” movement, were once in the hated, “evil” leftist camp. The late David Horawitz was a card carrying Communist and member of the SDS movement in college. People aren’t evil. People do evil things. People have evil ideas. People are mislead into supporting evil causes.
So, the only good Communist, is one who has accepted Christ as his or her Savior, just like you and me (i.e. as may apply – I know there are atheists among us who support MAGA and mean well, who try to do good). The only good Communist, perhaps, is a former Communist. It happens. People change, not all of them, maybe not even a majority, but enough of them that we can’t adopt their evil death chants. The CCP will one day be no more, and many of the cadres will become Christians, of that, I am certain.
I can generate hate, at evil.
Just as I can seperate my feelings for a countries GOVT., from my feelings for its PEOPLE, I can differentiate between the demon and its host.
I can pray for Nanci Prlousis soul, or Mitchs, knowing they are demon possessed, and pray for their salvation, and the demons demise.
Thankyou for stating what needed to be said on this matter, Old Salt… – *Very* well said, *Indeed*.

Time for a bunker-buster bomb (figuratively)?
Sounds like deliberate loopholes built in for China to exploit.
Will the dumping price paid to the factories in China be equivalent to what the American importers were paying? It wasn’t clear to me if this tactic would sustain the factories in China, which would not be good for us.
Who Lost South Korea? South Korea on Brink of Falling to Communist China
| The Gateway Pundit | by John Mills
This article claims the Chinese Slave Power is subverting Honest Elections in South Korea, just like they helped the American UNIPARTY overthrow us here in 2020. They used COVID for Mail-In Fraud and flooded America with counterfeit ballots, among other crimes.
Lord, we lift up Your Korean Church in Victory. By the power of the believer, we bind this wicked spirit of Tyranny and decree that these evil schemes shall backfire upon the Enemies of God and cause their own downfall, in Jesus. Name, Amen!
Psalm 37
12
The wicked plot against the righteous
and gnash their teeth at them;
13
but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he knows their day is coming.
14
The wicked draw the sword
and bend the bow
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose ways are upright.
15
But their swords will pierce their own hearts,
and their bows will be broken.
We receive the Word of the Lord, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
Lt. Gene Clark with his South Korean commandos, 1950
“… By this time I had learned what was happening behind the scenes at the Dai Ichi Building and in the corridors of the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. It underlined the word desperation in my mind and put a few question marks after it. General MacArthur’s decision to invade Inchon was a daring gamble in a half dozen ways. He was withdrawing badly needed troops such as the Marine brigade from the Pusan perimeter and combining them with reinforcements arriving from the United States and Europe. This strike force was supposed to drive inland from Inchon to seize South Korea’s capital, Seoul, and sever the North Korean army’s supply lines.
It was brilliant strategy—but the devil was in the hairy tactical details of this risky venture, code-named chromite. General J. Lawton Collins, the U.S. Army’s chief of staff, and Admiral Forrest Sherman, the Chief of Naval Operations, had flown to Tokyo to talk MacArthur out of it. At an historic briefing session in the Dai Ichi Building, Navy and Army planners had been more than a little pessimistic about attacking Inchon. At the end of the session, after scarcely a voice had been raised in favor of the proposal, Rear Admiral James H. Doyle, the man in command of the amphibious side of the operation, said: “General, I have not been asked nor have I volunteered my opinion about this landing. If I were asked, however, the best I can say is Inchon is not impossible.”
Through this negative barrage, MacArthur sat in silence, puffing on his pipe. After the last man had spoken, the general remained silent for another full minute. Then he rose and gave a speech that for sheer eloquence has probably never been equaled in American military annals. He told the assembled admirals and generals that the very arguments they had used against Inchon were the prime reason why he wanted to execute chromite. If the Americans thought it was close to impossible, so did the North Koreans, and that gave us the key element in any attack, large or small—surprise.
MacArthur ended with a peroration that was soon echoing through the Dai Ichi Building. He said the prestige of the Western world was hanging in the balance in Korea. The Orient’s millions were watching the outcome. Communism had elected to launch its march to global domination here in Asia. In Europe, we were able to fight Communism with words. Here, we had no choice but to do it with deeds. Inchon was a deed that would resound throughout the civilized world—and save 100,000 American lives.
General Collins was reduced to surly silence and Admiral Sherman became a believer. They flew back to Washington, D.C., where, with great reluctance, the Joint Chiefs of Staff gave Inchon their approval. To cover their rears, they asked President Truman to give his explicit permission for the operation. The ex-artilleryman from World War I said it was a plan worthy of a great captain and gave us the green light.
Back in Tokyo from my flying trip to Korea, I told Captain Pearce we were almost ready to shove off. He handed me secret orders that introduced me to Rear Admiral Sir William Andrewes of the Royal Navy, who was in command of the naval forces blockading the west coast of Korea. Soon my two Korean lieutenants and I were in Sasebo, a port on the East China Sea in Kyushu. There Admiral Andrewes presided aboard his flagship, HMS Ladybird.
Before I presented my orders to the admiral, I had a final, extremely important chore to perform. I had to turn my list of weapons and supplies into reality. I had waited until the brink of departure because I had learned an old shipmate, Lieutenant Commander Russell Q. “Shorty” June, was the executive officer of the Sasebo Naval Base. I thought I had a better chance of getting everything I wanted from Shorty. Was I ever right. Laying my requirements before him, I explained that my mission was secret in nature—and urgent. Without another word, he grabbed the phone and called his supply officer, directing him to give me everything I asked for and if he didn’t have it to get it from the local Army outfit.” …….
LT Eugene F. Clark and the Inchon landing:
“…The Navy knew little of the dangerous waters around Inchon despite the fact that the U.S. had occupied Korea south of the 38th parallel for four years. With a tidal range of over 30 feet, accurate intelligence of Inchon and its water approaches was vital to the success of the landing.
No one did more to provide that information than the daring and resourceful Lieutenant Eugene F. Clark, USN, a geographic specialist on MacArthur’s intelligence staff. Clark had enlisted in the Navy in 1934, became a chief yeoman and earned a commission in World War II. He commanded an LST and a transport, and participated in several clandestine operations with the Nationalist Chinese against the communists after the war. Invasion planners needed detailed information about the harbor, the approaches and enemy defenses so they dispatched a reconnaissance team under Lieutenant Clark to get the answers. His small team included two South Korean officers who had fought in World War II and possessed sufficient arms to equip a small irregular force.
Clark’s team landed on Yonghung Do, an island only 14 miles from Inchon, on 1 September 1950. They quickly organized a force of local men and boys to watch the nearby enemy held island of Taebu Do. On the advice of his Korean officers, Clark had brought in rice and dried fish for the islanders, which brought much good will. Clark also equipped Yonghung Do’s one motorized sampan with a .50-caliber machine gun and armed his men with carbines and submachine guns. To acquire intelligence about the enemy, the team seized local fishing sampans-interrogating crewmen who generally professed loyalty to South Korea-and explored Inchon harbor. Clark’s young Korean operatives also infiltrated Inchon, Kimpo air base and even Seoul and returned with valuable information. Clark told the planners that the Japanese-prepared tide tables were accurate, that the mud flats fronting Inchon would support no weight and that the harbor’s sea walls were higher than estimated. Clark also reported that Wolmi Do, an island in Inchon harbor, was fortified with Soviet-made artillery.
The North Koreans, aware of Clark’s presence on Yonghung Do, sent only small parties to the island to investigate his hideaway. On 7 September, however, they sent one motorized and three sailing sampans loaded with troops. South Korean lookouts spotted the approaching boats, enabling Clark and his men to get their “flagship” underway. As Clark closed the enemy, a 37- mm anti-tank gun mounted in the bow of the Communist motorized craft opened up. A shell splashed well in front of Clark’s sampan. Undeterred by their poor shooting, Clark directed his flagship to within 100 yards of the enemy squadron. His .50 caliber machine gun raked two of the North Korean vessels, sinking one and demolishing another. Witnessing this slaughter, the two remaining boats fled the scene. After Clark reported that battle to headquarters, the destroyer Hanson (DD 832) arrived to take off the team. Clark, who had not asked to be extracted, instead requested Hanson’s skipper to pound Taebu Do. Hanson blasted the island with 212 5-inch rounds, covered by Marine Corsairs that bombed and strafed the North Korean positions.
The team stayed on the island and continued their mission. Clark scouted Palmi Do, an island centrally located in the approaches to Inchon, and reported that Canadian raiders had only damaged the lighthouse beacon. Clark was ordered to relight the lamp at midnight on the 15th. On 14 September, Clark’s team moved to Palmi Do and repaired the light. Meanwhile, the North Koreans sent a second contingent to wipe out the force on Yonghung Do that overwhelmed the defenders and executed over 50 men, women and children. Clark avenged their sacrifice when he activated the beacon atop the lighthouse at the appointed time on 15 September. With this light to guide them, the ships of the landing force safely threaded their way through the treacherous approach to Inchon. The Inchon landing was an incredible success and UN forces soon drove the remnants of the North Korean army across the 38th parallel.
In recognition of his heroic work, the Navy awarded Lieutenant Clark the Silver Star and the Army presented him with the Legion of Merit. Clark participated in several other special operations off Korea, earning a Navy Cross and an oak leaf cluster for the Silver Star. Commander Clark retired from the Navy in 1966 and died in 1998.” …….

Your comment has no class, Sir. Show some discernment.
China can’t live without the US Dollar. The people who deindustrialized the United States (and Europe) long ago recognized the superiority of finance over factories if you want to run the world.
I’m somewhat confused: Your for-instance:
When this happens, are we not able to identify it and place a tariff meant for the Chinese, not the Philippines, on it?
Potentially it could get caught and addressed.
What you are talking about kinda llustrates the state of mind of China via their rerouting of shipping, and their licensing (metaphorically) out of their products so it won’t’t say made in China
trying everything because they have no choice. frantically acting because they need (not want) access to our market. Indicator of leverage growing.
Call this out over six weeks ago.
The mark-up middle men a.k.a the brands are going to be tripping over each other to scoop up the deals of the century.
Cheaper product, massive volume for the pump and dump and the kicker. Non value markups being blamed and landed at the feet of tariffs.
I had noticed the absence of Temu ads on youtube.
China makes ‘”high quality apparel”??? I know they make well known name brand items, but actually of high quality?? Knock me over with a feather.
Some people have figured out that they can take over the conversations on TCT if they throw in reference to scripture of some sort.
Also the cutesy wutesy back and forth between some members who have forgotten TCT is a serious resource for desperate people worldwide, not just them, is getting a bit much.
Sad.
Thanks, Mimi. Completely agree.
CTH provides a separate thread every day for quoting religious sayings and sharing cute puppy/kitty photos.
Really takes away from the usefullness of CTH’s forum if every conversation turns into quotes from Revelation, or “cutesy wutesy back and forth.”
Loving it, but they’re still playing the long game. We need to contain and lock China up, and take our congress critter’s/IC toy away. China not being the only country.
Amazing insight. Thank you, Sundance!
Dumping only works if people are buying. I’m not into consumerism. Couldn’t afford to be & then didn’t want to be.
Lifelong habits don’t change just because the price goes down.
Sad panda will not be made happy on my dime… er dollar.
Reading some of the comments here, it’s easy to see the Spirit of God withdrawing from among us.
If the “right” loses the Spirit of God, after the Left wholesale rejected it, we will readily receive every plague, devastation, upheaval, & destruction stated in the Book of Revelation & by men such as Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Joel, Jesus, & many others…
“The love of many shall wax cold” a sign of the times that literally enables the worst events in human history to occur…
Terrible to witness among our own…

“Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.”
–Antonio Gramsci
I’m not sure if the left has rejected, co-opted, captured, and so on…
I should think that those people are the ones very much in need of hearing messages about God’s love. Remember: all people are sinners; the goal is to keep them from falling further into sin if at all possible. I would not begrudge anyone that message.
Remember: our Savior walked among the unrighteous.

I always enjoy reading what sundance has to say. I also enjoy the comments section. I’d like to thank everyone who takes the time to contribute here.
The view I have begins with Donald Trump. As I’ve said, I’ve worked with people like him in the Alaskan arctic back in the 60s and 70s when we were making up our own rules up there. When a man like that comes on a job, one thing you know is that the job is going to get done – whatever it takes. This is in conditions that are as difficult as can be found. Seventy below – actual temps – and much of the time, no daylight. This is what our president encountered in Washington when he first took office.
So, I have had this vision of what is really going on. Maybe right or wrong – we might see soon. Donald Trump does not think small. It seems to me that his goal is to form a three way partnership – the US, Russia, and China. He does not want to focus on the individual fires that are burning. He wants to structurally change the game to eliminate the causes of these fires.
Who are the real enemies here? Europe? The City of London? Think about what a three way agreement with Russia and China would mean – for the entire world.
I’m guessing that, right now, there is nothing more important to Donald Trump than his legacy.
Now, how is this different – both in benefits and risk – than three mafia families getting together and agreeing that, if they could only refrain from killing each other, they could all profit handsomely?
Of course, there are extremely powerful forces that will fight this merger every step of the way. They might want to hang a world-wide depression around President Trump’s neck. Or, start WW3. Time will tell.
I have been studying retail and brands as an analsyst for a very long time. Let me tell you what this sounds like. Our “branded” companies have a huge amount of margin $s because of the low cost of China. For more direct players like LuLu Lemon… they capture both the wholesale and the retail margin. For brands that distribute through retail (Ralph L, Tommy H. Calvin Klein, ..etc a lot of Nike) … they share the margin with themselves and retail.
If Sundances analysis is correct. you cannot own the stocks of LULU, NIKE, RL, PVH, DKS .. many others… this holiday… The dumped product will show up online and TJX and ROST., undercutting the brands.
Not sure why we don’t leave china alone for awhile and let them fail and then maybe they can be transformed into a better version of themselves. Maybe there’s a reason we keep propping them up but it seems to be above my pay grade.
