According to Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, she was “asked by a mutual friend” to travel to New York and meet with candidate Trump in “late December 2015.” That timeline would be post-Fox Debate (Megyn Kelly attempted hit – Aug ’15) when President Trump was leading every republican primary poll and became the enemy of the professional Republican establishment.
I’m tired of playing these games.
Find the “mutual friend” who organized the December 2015 meeting between Trump and Wiles, and we likely find the person who is in control of all these insufferable conflictions within the Trump administration.
I’m glad Waltz is gone, and perhaps now a solid NSA can be selected (Trump has never had one). The biggest challenge was always going to be a confrontation with the Intelligence Community. Everything circles around that issue.

Annnnnnd… As of this writing it’s announced that Waltz is not leaving but will be Ambassador to the UN. Pres. Trump says he will rely on Marco Rubio as his Nat’l Security Adviser.
So Waltz is not gone, just repositioned. Pres. Trump seems to be relying on Rubio more anyway and this Rubio is different than the one most remember from a couple years ago (which was a surprise to me).

I believe Devin Nunes will replace Mike Waltz, due to already having the necessary security clearance from his time as Chair in the House Intelligence Committee.

Waltz is not completely gone. He is going to be the Ambassador to the UN. Marco Rubio will now wear two hats temporarily and also serve as National Security Advisor in addition to being Secretary of State.

On this judgement of Waltz, I will have to disagree. Waltz was one of the few people who could successfully manage the Deep State betrayers while successfully executing State power activity until reform, restructuring the IC could purge, remove, sideline and reorganize. The very reorganization will take years and is a minority report.
Thus, there is no world were some anti-interventionist gets into the WH and does anything successful except a kind of rightwing repeat of Joe Biden’s catastrophic foreign policy failures. I suspect the next NSA will be a far, far, worse, selection. Most likely, someone under the influence of Vance who will accumulate even more power.
Meanwhile, consider that Waltz was sufficiently a threat to the Dark side Deep Staters that they managed this sourcing of code into Waltz’s Apple Phone to monkey wrench his ad hoc communication committee for Houthi offensive. If we learned anything it is to not use Apple Phones and Trump is still sufficiently vulnerable to media perception management. Trump just finally bended over from the body blow of the covert op to remove Waltz. They won’t stop now. Trump will be on defensive from here on out. Bad move.

Excuse me, Sundance, this may seem like a minor point…but I don’t think it is.
Some of us who “never took a married name” made that choice because of the number of women we knew who faced all manner of Deep State harassment after the PATRIOT Act made name changes a trigger for “potential terrorism.”
When I married, many gals I knew, nationwide, and a handful of men, all of whom worked in ag and ag policy/research challenging Big Ag’s models and poisons, and trying to restore the American yeoman farmer/family farms, advised this. Again and again I was told of cases where a woman’s name change upon marriage was used as a vector for disrupting their travel (to, e.g., conferences challenging Big Ag models), for triggering IRS audits (both personal and their small-ag organizations), for making it difficult to renew or get passports (to consult or speak internationally), for questioning applications for survivor benefits when losing a spouse, banking/financial mayhem, and more.
That’s right, questioning things like Monsanto’s plans and deeds, concerns about pesticides’ and injections’ impacts on childrens’ and livestock health, and seeking to restore the American yeoman farmer sector, made us terrorists. A name change would be a clean and easy place for intervention/harassment of Americans working on a shoestring to awaken others to Big Ag’s methods and depradations.
So I would like it to be noted that not all women who didn’t change our names upon marriage are a bunch of DC siloed commie Permastate whatevers. This kind of kneejerk thinking/reaction is just another way “conservatives” side with the Deep State, by not recognizing that traditional forms of social activity, like the marital name change, are as warred upon as every other aspect of traditional life, in this case by making them a vector of Permastate intervention. In other words, if you don’t side with Big Ag and the Permastate, you are effectively, in the civil realm, not allowed to be married (take your husband’s name). Then later you get lambasted as something you’re not.
