An interesting report from the U.K reflects British government officials who feel their legal position against ‘free speech’ in Great Britain is now part of the negotiations for President Trump’s tariffs. Essentially, the tariff discussion is encompassing more than just tariffs; if the nation does not support traditional freedoms and liberty, they could face stronger tariffs from the USA.
The messenger for this dynamic is not coincidentally Vice President JD Vance, who aligns closely with the tech platforms. The tech control agents are bitterly opposed to President Trump’s tariff position, and this nuance is quite possibly a way to give the tech platforms an ancillary benefit, vis-a-vis free speech support.
The tech industry is facing pressure from the EU and British government to censor and control information content on their platforms. By adding the importance of free speech to the leverage of tariff pressure, President Trump gives both Main Street companies and American Tech Titans something important to their business interests. This is both a smart and righteous approach.

But a senior Washington figure, who has provided advice for the administration, claimed he is “obsessed by the fall of Western civilisation” – including his view that free speech is being eroded in Britain – and that he will demand the Labour government rolls back laws against hateful comments, including abuse targeting LGBT+ groups or other minorities, as a condition of any deal.

Why?

Years ago I worked with a delightful, gorgeous woman from Nigeria. She was from a wealthy
family back home. She married the son of another wealthy family, and they moved to the US.
Long story short, hubby started seeing an American hoochy momma type. His family back home
disowned him, and they actually sided with their former daughter in law during the divorce.
But the most interesting story she had was about religion back home. She was Church of England,
and was amazed at how prayer was held in the U.S.

I am not so sure that the surge in people returning to Catholicism in England is all that inexplicable:

Retired Magistrate here: I think it is interesting to note the position of President Trump’s hands in the photo above; he is making a heart with his hands. I am not sure what this means; maybe nothing or maybe he is showing us that all will be well. Just an observation.
One thing I learned when I was on the bench and before we had courtroom security was to watch people’s hands for concealed weapons and signs of agitation. I did have a button under the bench to push for an emergency which had a direct link to the Sheriff’s Office. Of course by the time I pushed it and they got there, it might have been too late. The leak came through The Independent, a left-leaning UK outlet, and the language is designed to make it sound scary — “obsessed,” “hateful comments,” etc. That’s a signal that British political/media establishments are worried this pressure is real and could have teeth.
If Labour (Starmer’s government) caves and adjusts hate speech laws under trade pressure, it will cause a political firestorm inside Britain, especially with its activist base. If it refuses, it risks serious economic consequences at a time when the UK economy isn’t strong.
America used to be seen as having some degree of moral authority, probably due to its military authority and financial wherewithal or willingness to go into debt. If there’s even an iota of that perception left, this would be an excellent place to use it.

Once the Muslim populations in the UK and EU reach critical mass, they will forcibly take over and impose sharia law. At best, the Marxist / Globalist totalitarian politicians who are in power at that time can expect to be rounded up and imprisoned … and, that’s if they are lucky.
By allowing their citizens some modicum of free speech and rolling back some of their extremist totalitarian policies, they might actually have a chance of surviving the chaos that they have been sowing. That window of opportunity, however, is rapidly closing. They had better keep their private jets fueled and ready for a quick departure, as their goal of destroying the West is much closer than they think!

If you listen closely, neither President Trump, nor any of hos trade team have said that the tariffs would ONLY be used to level the playing field.
What the CIA/USAID does, is leverage “soft power” to get other countries to do what it wants.
