According to leaked information to the New York Times, President Trump did not agree with an Israeli proposal to launch military strikes against Iran. According to the narrative as advanced, President Trump, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were in agreement to attempt diplomatic solutions instead of bombing Iran.
Israel could not conduct the attack without U.S. support, which President Trump decided not to give. Instead, Trump wanted a more forceful push toward engagement and diplomacy with Iran surrounding the ongoing contentious issue of nuclear development.
NEW YORK TIMES – Israel had planned to strike Iranian nuclear sites as soon as next month but was waved off by President Trump in recent weeks in favor of negotiating a deal with Tehran to limit its nuclear program, according to administration officials and others briefed on the discussions.
Mr. Trump made his decision after months of internal debate over whether to pursue diplomacy or support Israel in seeking to set back Iran’s ability to build a bomb, at a time when Iran has been weakened militarily and economically.
The debate highlighted fault lines between historically hawkish American cabinet officials and other aides more skeptical that a military assault on Iran could destroy the country’s nuclear ambitions and avoid a larger war. It resulted in a rough consensus, for now, against military action, with Iran signaling a willingness to negotiate.
Israeli officials had recently developed plans to attack Iranian nuclear sites in May. They were prepared to carry them out, and at times were optimistic that the United States would sign off. The goal of the proposals, according to officials briefed on them, was to set back Tehran’s ability to develop a nuclear weapon by a year or more.
Almost all of the plans would have required U.S. help not just to defend Israel from Iranian retaliation, but also to ensure that an Israeli attack was successful, making the United States a central part of the attack itself.

I must admit after further research on Brian Hughes (ties to Susie Wiles Ice Mavent) the NSC spokesperson with deep Florida political experience should be looked at harder as potential leak source -since he was also quoted in the earlier articles on Signal Gate.

Give the NYT a leak showing internal division so they run it, but the division shows President Trump wants a diplomatic solution instead of military strikes and would only agree as a last resort if negotiations fail. It maintains the leverage of strikes, but signals that negotiations in good faith would be beneficial (in postponing Israeli strikes if nothing else).

I applaud the decision to negotiate with Iran. I do not think it is in American citizens’ best interest to get involved in another attack on a country that isn’t following US orders nor complying with US threats. Iran is not an Iraq or Syria or Afghanistan or Libya or Serbia or Yemen or Somalia, each of which had limited ability to strike back. The outflow of dollars to get involved would be devastating to our country with our already overwhelming debt. Iran also has ties to Russia and China and would put in jeopardy chances to normalize relationships with Russia.

The CIA is an extremely dangerous rogue agency. The chilling element is that over the last 60 or 70 some odd years the CIA has successfully eliminated EVERY SINGLE attempt to expose them. I think the behind the scenes action is really centered around this. With Hegseth, Trump is cutting the military out of the herd. If he’s successful the CIA will not be able to control the military. That will significantly change the influence of CIA in the world. Then what? I think the next step is the relationship between CIA and FBI. This is where we find out about Patel and Bondi. In the 80s and 90s the common narrative was that CIA and FBI were competitors. I think it was Clinton who started the process of allowing CIA to become the dominant partner in that relationship. Then Bush pushed it over the edge with the Patriot Act. The Bamster weaponized it domestically. Just as the Bamster basically “sold” GM to the unions, Bush gave the FBI to the CIA. Now we have one big nasty ferocious IC that basically says to the government, “We’re in charge now. I’m a 50 hour a week, private sector worker drone, I’m not invited into the restaurant, even though I help pay for it, I can’t even look at what’s on the menu or even see what’s in the garbage bin behind the restaurant and so blissfully, all my meals are home cooked.
It seems that most of the time that the machinations of DC are on another planet, in another dimension, so far removed from reality that they can’t really exist, yet they do and their consequences can be and often are worst than the worst case imaginable. I have also been reading about the deep involvement of the CIA in Ukraine which has led to the ascendancy of the Azov militia which became a regiment, then a brigade, and now (April 15) designated a corps (25,000 – 40,000 men). The 3rd battalion is also being considered for designation as a corps, allowing for it to increase in size. This growth of the Nazi philosophy, the recruiting of more and more soldiers to that philosophy, the training and the enormous stores of weapons in Ukraine, and the increase in the rhetoric of violent hatred portends problems for Europe and the US in the future.
Peace in Ukraine will not be easy. Peace after a peace agreement will not be easy because of these groups which are taking on terrorist tactics and defying any ceasefire – the attacks on Russian infrastructure has continued daily while the Russians have restrained any infrastructure attacks. That month-long agreement ends today, I think.
The CIA which is involved in every aspect of the Ukraine conflict, will support continued terrorism until and unless they are finally restrained.
Azov needs an ‘e’ added to the end of its new ‘corps’ designation for there to be a real peace.

I generally agree with PDJT47 that negotiating is better than killing, with the caveat that the negotiations have to be in good faith and productive.
The Israelis have been talking to their arab neighbors since 1947 and have been fighting most of them the entire time, so killing turns out to be more productive.
Zelensky refuses to talk to the Russians at all and doesn’t talk with us in good faith, so the killing continues, and will continue, until he either sees the light or finds another line of work.
We all know the fable of the scorpion asking the frog to help it across the river. Trump knows the Iranian scorpion playbook. The current diplomatic mission is just political cover for the rest of the world to pretend that the USA tried to negotiate. All hell will break loose. It’s just a matter of timing.

A couple of weeks ago, the Russian government ratified their alignment with Iran. A major sticking-point in the agreement is: if Iran gets itself into a hot war with the US, then Russia will not help them out. This one point has gone a long way to curbing the typical Muslim rabid aggression.
The US needs to set a similar rule with Israel. They might be Jewish, but they express that same rabid, mindless hostility that we see in other middle eastern countries. They aren’t able to control themselves, so it’s up to the US to set some boundaries on what is acceptable. If they can’t resist warfare, then let them go to war on their own.

You know very early in Trump 1.0 I distinctly remember an interview with DJT that struck me at the time. The interviewer asked about other countries doing bad things around the world or something to that affect…Trump said “our country has been very very bad as well. I sound cynical, right? I am, but only because I spent most of my adult working life as an auditor in the Federal government. My work took me to all levels of government, education institutions, grantees, and business organizations, essentially any place where federal money flows.
What Musk and the DOGE team are discovering is no surprise to me. They are the 1st group I know of with the skill and ability to look behind the curtain to see where the money is going and who is getting it.
Is everything DOGE reports likely to prove to be 100% accurate? No, but it will show how poorly the flow of federal money is being monitored and overseen.
DOGE has the means and motive to drill down from the top to get a glimpse of what’s going on under the hood of the Federal government from the perspective of where the money goes.
I’m just curious. If you spent most of your life auditing the federal government (along with many other auditors) why is it only now with the arrival of DOGE and Musk the first to be able to see behind the curtain. It would seem the whole job of auditors is to “look behind the curtain”.

Keep this in mind. Trump is much wiser and cunning than we give him credit for. SunDance has stated that the Democrats use money to keep power. Republicans use power to get money. Let’s look at Harvard as an example. Supposedly they have $50 billion in endowments. Then you see them and others desperately fighting for all the grants and government handouts that are cut. We heard from the Dem Party of how much they spent and were in the red after the election. Could it be, that Trump through DOGE, not only has cut a significant part of funding that has kept them operating on tax payers dime. Also, many of their donors are not in the mood to donate after being lied too.And, many of there funding schemes were nixed due to scrutiny of illegalities, like ACT BLUE. Trump is starring to show some real cards. The plan seems to be coming together as I anticipated. Cabinet in place. Government funding near completed. DOGE focusing voters attention on all the fraud and abuse, to be focused on elected Crooks and bureaucrats. Today, in conjuction with some EO’s, Trump has Flynn write an article about stolen elections, while the Russia info was dropped a couple of days ago. DOGE needs to attain cabinet position level authority under the law. PDJT can more precisely change the course for this country as another executive check on out of control /reckless spending.
DOGE hence forth is the President’s eyes/ears/alert mechanism for working with congress and the judicial branch to shutdown and if necessary work to jail those who commit treason, fraud, waste/abuse within the federal bureaucracy. Ultimately the President needs this oversight on a daily basis.
