This is an excellent example of what Attorney General Pam Bondi should be focused on instead of her appearances on Fox News.
The Federal Housing and Finance Agency has released a public statement highlighting an internal review and investigation of conduct within Fannie Mae that has resulted in the termination of over 100 employees for “unethical conduct” including the “facilitation of fraud.”
If the FHMA is finding intentional fraud within the housing loan offices, those federal employees should be arrested and legally prosecuted for their conduct. It is not enough to just fire people, there has to be legal accountability. These are the government regulators for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

I guess that is the first order of business. Second is fire dirty cops. Third is replace with honest ones. Fourth is arrest the bad guys. This is going to take some time.
Bill Pulte (Director of Fed Housing Agency) was on Laura Ingraham. He said he couldn’t explain all the accusations of the fired employees because they’re just starting the investigation.
He did say many were working 2 jobs. He also mentioned employees gave donations to an ‘internal company charity’, and got a kickback for doing that.
Finally, he mentioned that, based on IP addresses, he could tell they were having friends swipe their ID card in at the office (in DC, I guess?) but they were actually logging in from China. He showed video of the DC office completely full of workers, so I guess people were trying to pretend they had returned to the office, and had another job somewhere else. Not sure if the China location is important, or just that they weren’t in the office as required.

A huge part of the Fannie Mae workforce is computer/technical. These are virtually all Indians. Not sure if they’re citizens or not, but the Indian presence there is huge.
Besides working from another country, there are very likely H1B/8a scams going on that further reduce the proportion of Normal Americans working there. Hopefully Pulte is onto that.
The other notable issue with the workforce at Fannie Mae, at that time, and surely right up until Jan 2025, is the massive PC-Prog/DEI/Affirmative Action adherence. From the VP of HR–a silly black woman no more suited to be a VP than she was to be an astronaut, to her gaggle of DEI-hires in HR, and pretty much all other non-technical roles, they slavishly required DEI/Affirmative Action for hiring employees. The result of this was opportunities for contractors to actually do the work, since the DEI hires spent most of their time in DEI-related activities.
