Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney delivers a speech to the nation notifying the Canadian people that the era of an economic and military collaborative relationship between the United States and Canada is over.
As the majority of Canadians cheer, the Prime Minister said that Canada as a free independent and sovereign nation will now embrace its connections to the United Kingdon and European Union and seek to replace their national dependency on the United States by severing ties in North America and entering a new era of close relations with Great Britain and Europe.
When questioned if Canada would join the European Union, a seemingly natural fit for the ideologically aligned country, Prime Minister Carney said, “nothing is off the table.” In a rather remarkable end to the confrontation, the Carney says the economic and military ties between the USA and Canada are officially declared severed. .
President Trump asked Prime Minister Trudeau and the Canadian government to close the border to narcotraffickers and shutdown the pipeline of Chinese fentanyl. The Canadian govt chose not to and Prime Minister Mark Carney continues the refusal.
The entire Canadian border enforcement system, agents, support personnel, the entire operation for 5,000-mile border consists of 300 people. Not exactly a strong commitment to border security.
President Trump asked the Canadian government to remove trade tariffs, remove non-tariff trade barriers, and initiate reciprocal trade. The Canadian govt chose not to.
President Trump asked the Canadian govt to stop being a pass-through for Chinese goods that violates the USMCA. The Canadian govt chose not to.
President Trump asked the Canadian govt to open access to U.S. banks and financial services. The Canadian govt said no.
President Trump asked the Canadian govt to live up to the NATO commitment of 2.5% GDP spending on military defense. The Canadian govt said no, you will defend us free of charge and just accept it.
Now, members of the Canadian government are saying they want to “inflict the maximum amount of pain on Americans possible.”
Canada destroyed most of their heavy industry and chases the climate change hoax in all economic policies. Canada is destroying itself, no help from the UK or EU is needed.
Canada imported Steel and Aluminum from China, then shipped it into the USA, undercutting U.S. industry and trying to weaken U.S. heavy industry to match their own level of dependence. Eventually, President Trump said ENOUGH!
My message to President Trump:
The world needs our products and our expertise. If you, Mr. Trump, do not want them, the rest of the world does.
If you choose to go down this road, you will lose the greatest trading partner and friend you ever had.

I have a sincere question. I honestly do not understand why the USA expects Mexico and Canada to protect OUR borders. Are we too tied up protecting other countries’ borders? Does posse comitatus prevent us from defending ourselves from invasion? It is obvious now that Canada doesn’t like us any more than Mexico does. That’s too bad, but if we have to buy our friends by paying them welfare described as trade, then I say to hell with them.
Please Sundance or someone answer my first two questions. They are sincere. I am honestly confused.
Too close for comfort.
So…. do our Canadian friends and neighbor to our North want more Americans to die by illegal fentanyl?
Haven’t enough American families been hurt by the Chinese fentanyl pipeline at the Northern border? 🤔
Bye Felicia.
“The entire Canadian border enforcement system, agents, support personnel, the entire operation for 5,000-mile border consists of 300 people. Not exactly a strong commitment to border security.”
Doesn’t matter what the length of the border is. Eliminate the source of supply and there need not be any border security.
I don’t think this fact is correct. Can someone source or check because it makes the rest of the writing less believable.
YOU check. Everybody needs to do their own research.
Which fact is not believable, the number of personnel at the border, or that it is far easier to take on problems at their source rather than waiting for them to fester?
The CBSA in Canada has 16,500 staff with 8500 of those being front line. Those are just those in our dedicated Border Security agency. We also have the RCMP and the CSIS that have tangential border enforcement responsibilities.
Ok, fine. How many are assigned full-time to the Canada-US border? How many are assigned to airports? How many assigned to ports? How many are assigned to track down and deport illegals inside Canada?
Convert the number to the metric sysrem.
Oh Canada! Your terms are acceptable. Carry on!
He had too much to much wine like Pentangeli in GF.
Could it be that after the big blow up with the Canadian Truckers and the actions of the Socialist in the Canadian government, the people of Canada are seriously thinking of becoming the 51 st State. I have not seen many posts against this idea. That would sort of defile the Socialist sandbox in Canada if the populace started pushing that direction in earnest.
“We as Canadians, have agency”… What does that even mean?
“You’re not the boss of me!”
😭😭
Years ago I was considering purchasing a beautiful Canadel dining room table. I decided that if I was going to spend a couple thousand dollars on a dining room table I would go to the Amish and that was one of the best decisions I have made. Not only did I get beautiful table but met a wonderful family who make the creamiest cream cheese and apple cider I have ever tasted. So no I do not need Canadian products.
‘Will someone from his depleted … regime please inform him that I too have a … Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his …!’
NORAD? What happens with NORAD? Such irresponsible talk and threats. Canadians better worry or learn to speak madarin.
Pierre is as corrupt and stupid as Carney is. I would disagree with your assessment about “a majority of Canadians cheer.” If you had said a majority of those in eastern Canada did, would agree. This is no different than when the truckers and majority of Canadians faced off with eastern Canada – land of socialists, globalists, and organized crime.
One Canadian shows the hypocrisy of the Canadian circus…
Why do you say Polievre is corrupt? What has he done?
The Liberals? Yes!
Poilievre is just trying to make the best of a bad situation. If the media suspects he’s sympathetic to Trump, they’ll stone him!
100%
He is no different than someone like Cotton or Graham who bluster loudly, but are still just another wing of the same bird based upon my observations and talks with Canadians I know. While definitely better than anything the liberals in Canada are putting up, it would be more akin to Romney being elected in the U.S. Bernier (sp?) is the outsider. That said, for their own well being the Canadian people absolutely must take away all power from the Liberals and SNP, reducing their parliamentary seats significantly so they can wield no power even when combined with other, similarly minded fractions.
Harrison, my understanding is that Canadian provinces have much more autonomy than US states from the central government. Would it be possible for the us to build direct economic links with the western provinces like Alberta?
They have more autonomy than US states currently do (who don’t have the autonomy the founders gave them), but there are still limits to their autonomy. For example, fairly sure tariffs are set at the national level in Canada, just as they are here. On the other hand, most western provinces wouldn’t try to do what the gangster in Ontario is (who said he was intent on inflecting maximum pain on American citizens) and are likely to do everything they can within their power to maintain good relations.
Considering the circus carney’s love for the UK royals, this isn’t surprising…
DUDE, you can’t say that!!
That’s Code for Noticing.
Zehr Verboten!!
*laughing*
I didn’t say it – I just shared it and typed it 😉
What is that I have to buy from Canada that I can only buy from Canada… and I need it now… ??? nothing.
The Canadians themselves have just said we can sell to Euro zone and other places to replace the USA… oh.. so they made Trump’s point clearly… we don’t need each other. All of our trade is a “nice to have” … but not necessary.
Good ! Stop paying divorce alimony to the parasitic, ex- partner – Canada.
Canada is running out of other peoples’ money….(OURS!!)
Canada has never been part of Europe, ….. and never will be, despite any ludicrous machinations from the ‘World Economic Forum’ and its puppet ‘gauleiters’ in Europe …… anymore than Greenland has ever really been part of Europe. We are very much a nation of the American continent.
If Canada has only 300 people on the border I say it’s time to get some of our National Guard spread out across our side before our Northern Border becomes like our Southern Border was until PDJT took over.
Only the Militia can fill a gap that large.
Then we must get the prohibition on state militias repealed. We really DO need militias, especially in rural areas.
Carney will get elected first and then cave to Trump. All Canadian leaders will make significant concessions, after the election.
Carney has massive support in Quebec and the Maritimes. People over 60 are his support base with 50% of seniors.
Why the French want to vote for a guy who can barely speak French is unknown. It could change.
People up to early 50s don’t support Carney but Conservatives or NDP or Bloc.
So what you see happening is the wealthier half of seniors, who are insulated from the lost decade the Liberals just delivered are going to screw Canada with four more years of them.
They don’t feel the pain of Liberal policies, the young and working people do.
Look at the huge trade imbalance with Canada because they place huge tariffs on many U.S. product categories or outright ban U.S. firms from operating in Canada. Great trading partner? Are you kidding? It’s a one way deal and the USA is putting up with it anymore. Good.
CaNaDa is committed to become more of a third-world country. Their economy is right up there with Puerto Rico. Completely dependent on the USA.
I was re-listening to an excellent podcast last week regarding Canada’s decent into Marxism started by Pierre Trudeau: https://newdiscourses.com/2024/07/club-of-rome-and-degrowth-of-canada/
Canada is absolutely self-destructing, as planned by its leadership. The new Marxist term for having “unused bedrooms” (cannot have one for an office or other personal use, after all) is “overhousing”. Equity means not allowing overhousing.
From the Canadian Border Service Agency web site:
Removed over 14,000 foreign nationals from Canada for violating the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA). Of these, more than 4,100 inadmissible foreign nationals were returned to the U.S. and about 460 were U.S. nationals.
Evidently they don’t have any problem removing illegal aliens. Maybe we should ask them how they do it.
Wow, I guess Italians will need to develop a taste for pasta w/ maple syrup to support the economy of their new BFF.
What’s the tariff on the garbage Canada brings in everyday to dump in Michigan landfills?
Apparently both parties in Canada (Snowmexicans version of the Uni-Party) prefer a currency collapse in order to show America who’s BOSS!
Adios, Canuck mofos. You want to jump on the EU’s sinking ship, go for it. We’ll watch you sink right along with them. Canada’s problem is what the brilliant Dr. Thomas Sowell said: “When people have been treated favorably for so long, equal treatment looks to them like they are being discriminated against.”
The Canucks are about to learn a very tough lesson unless they change their ways drastically. We could easily close the border, cease all trade with them and watch their country collapse in real time.
