Just as Trump envoy Steve Witkoff departed Vnukovo airport, near Moscow, a series of inbound drone strikes from Ukraine (EU/NATO/UK) hit the area. The airport was closed immediately following Witkoff departure.
This timed and targeted drone strike is yet another example of Ukraine/NATO/EU/UK provoking and antagonizing Russia as President Trump tries to assemble the outlines of a ceasefire. This is the 3rd coordinated attack on Russia timed to coincide with President Trump’s team meeting with Russian and/or Ukranian officials.
Fortunately, Steve Witkoff was already exiting the airspace as inbound drones began hitting their targets.
The inbound drones in combination with the outbound Witkoff flight likely complicated the use of Russian air defenses. The NATO team within Ukraine are playing with fire.

A major oil refinery was also hit in a strike, triggering ten explosions followed by a massive inferno – just 55 miles from Putin’s £1 billion clifftop palace on the Black Sea.
Vnukovo airport – used by Trump envoy Steve Witkoff to leave Moscow after meeting Putin and his top officials – was closed.
It was the second major Ukrainian attack on Moscow in three days, and appeared to be a direct response to Putin setting multiple conditions for any ceasefire.
The inferno at Tuapse Oil Refinery came after ten deafening explosions, thought to be orchestrated by drones.
Huge flames and thick black smoke rose after the strike and the fire spread quickly. More than 120 firefighters fought the blaze.
Krasnodar regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev said: ‘The Kyiv regime attacked the oil complex in Tuapse. One of the gasoline tanks caught fire.’
Moscow was also rocked by drone strikes, causing car alarms to go off ‘en masse’, according to an eyewitness.
The strikes were close to Putin’s usual highway route from his official residence in Moscow to the Kremlin.

The timing of when Witkoff’s plane was in the air could have been provided by “plane spotters” on the ground near the airfield. He was likely travelling in a big blue & white painted official US Government aircraft, like a C-32 (military version of the Boeing 757-200.) Easy to spot. It was likely also visible on air-traffic control. This was a public mission, nothing secret about it. In fact it was intended to get media visibility.

In addition, I don’t think the potential instigators (Starmer, Macron and EU Ursula) realize that Putin now has every right to blow Kiev off the map (hopefully with Zelensky in town) without any retaliation of an EU/NATO response because Ukraine is not a member nation as it would still be a regional conflict. That stated and in closing, it will be interesting to see if POTUS Trump just cuts to the core of this issue/conflict and tells the suspect parties that their continued actions to turn the Ukraine/Russia conflict into a major crisis in order to negate the current peace process is putting the US and all other nations at risk of a potential nuclear global conflict that could result in US measures to stop this insanity.
President Trump needs to quit flip flopping on this issue. Cut off ALL aid and assistance to Z and be done with it.
I know your frustration, but that’s not a clear clean cut option a this time especially because it’s not targeted at the main instigators as Zelensky is just a puppet. Note POTUS Trump is not flip flopping on anything. He’s attempting to keep the meaningful principal parties cooperative and engaged in proceeding along the path to peace. It’s a balancing act right now and some semblance control/restraint is needed to keep the ball moving forward to create the momentum that a push is no longer needed.

I think the drones were already in the air, and had been for some time considering the distances inviolved. So, either they were direct flights, or they were loitering somewhere close to the airport. If loitering, or flying in directly from Ukraine, or some NATO base on the other side of the URAL mountains, why didn’t the ALERTS go out from the Russian Air Defenses? If they were tracking them, why did they allow the US Aircraft permission to depart? Eithert way, one has to ask: Is This Anyway to Run an Airport? To spare means to not kill, not to arrest and charge with war crimes. The Putin order was given to suffende, or die. There will be no letting go for some long time, and those who did atrocities, will not be let go in the forseeable future.
And they most certainly considered the possibility that Witkoff’s plane getting shot down had a higher than nil chance of happening. They would have considered that the best case scenario.

Please do not let this pass without swift public action. Recommend you direct the CIA and Department of Defense to identify 1) where the drones were fired from 2) who gave the order to use them 3) what targeting system was used. If it was US personnel in charge fire them immediately and refer them to FBI DOJ for maximum punishment. If it was NATO, UK, FRANCE, impose serious sanctions.
It is clear that Zelenskyy does not care at all about his brave army. He is working against peace and against the USA. In my humble opinion it is time to completely disengage from Ukraine and NATO. They both want to have a nuclear war. I know you want to be the PEACEMAKER PRESIDENT but if Zelenskyy and his handlers are against peace it’s time to walk away. If those bas…ds stay in power they will provoke trouble shortly. Please Mr. President just write off bidens $350 billion, forget rare earths and get us out of Ukraine, this will save American lives and treasure.
