Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick appears on CBS News to outline how the MAGAnomic tariff program immediately creates positive outcomes when President Trump identifies the specific targets.
As Lutnick appropriately notes, the EU has received one-way tariff benefit since the creation of the Marshal Plan in 1945. President Trump is on track to finally end this exfiltration of American wealth. Lutnick cuts through the nonsense and delivers a very non-pretending reality as he outlines how Canada doesn’t stop fentanyl, and Mexico doesn’t stop migration caravans.
This is an excellent explanatory outline of how President Trump paints the target, then Commerce Secretary Lutnick supports the targeting, and how foreign nations immediately respond to change their approach. WATCH:
As we notice today, for the first time since last year the Consumer Price Index now shows inflation slowing rapidly [CPI DATA HERE] as basic essential prices on energy and gasoline are dropping quickly and all downstream products start dropping in sequence.
Here is our current status after one month: – mortgage rates are down – egg prices are down – gas prices are down – overall inflation dropping – illegal immigration stopped at the border – wages going up – foreign aid shut down – woke initiatives being removed – massive manufacturing investments ongoing.
Hey, it’s winning folks, and it has only just begun. Lutnick is absolutely correct.

Trump seems to have put together one helluva team…not tired of winning yet!
Still have doubts about Bondi. Gates would have hit it out of the park! Every day!
He had no path into the position. I’m just ticked that House members keep getting nominated for xyz with our majority on the line. He didn’t need to quit!
That whole situation was just weird, IMHO! He resigned as soon as he was nominated, then refused to be seated for the next Congress, even though he had been elected to it, was NOT appointed to the Senate, has been all over the map about whether or not he is going to run for Governor in 2026, AND is now doing some bizarre birthday greetings website for $500 a pop?
IMO, the whole exercise was a favor by PDJT intended to short-circuit
impending Ethics Committee investigation.
In a way it reminds me of Gen. Flynn in Trump’s first term. … important appointment gone poof. One day the invisible writing on the wall may appear with the reasons and… maybe never.
They were going to cripple him with the ethics report. They hate him the way GOPe hated the Tea Party congressman. Michelle Bachman and Col. Sllen West spring to mind.
we might still get him. it’s early.
Pray we don’t. He is toxic.
Agreed, both Gaetz and President Trump are toxic…
To the D/Hamas faction…

No explanation for your position?
I’m curious
I think this explains it:
Hamas is not my problem! There are too many problems much closer to home.
The problem is, Hamas will make it our problem if we choose to ignore them. It’s what they do. It says so in their book.
Like the democommunists.
“You will be made to care.”
We can multitask, I think.
President Trump is not, and has never been, toxic. You and those like you, including “mob like” lawfare attorneys at the Federal and state level, the FBI, most bureaucrats, and all the main street media are toxic in the manner that they (and you) speak of President Trump and treat President Trump. On the otherhand, Gaetz has always been toxic in some form and degree. How’a that for you?
Read the whole comment…..
“Agreed, both Gaetz and President Trump are toxic…
To the D/Hamas faction…”
You’re getting poor information.
And believing it.
I’ve always been a fan of Ken Paxton in TX, but he’s doing God’s work down there in the largest of the red states, and Texas needs him. sigh.
The red states that have good/very good attorneys general are loathe to hand them over to the federal level. Law and order in these states–as in every other state–is best handled at the local and state level. However, given the horrible state the DOJ is in–with Bondi having yet to do anything–those of us in red states may have to take one for the team. (Speaking from Idaho, where our AG Raul Labrador is doing a great job as very much the only MAGA man at the state level among too many RINOs like our governor and lt. governor.)
I guess the only ideal, long-term solution: elect more MAGA at the state and federal levels 🙂
Yes, the ideal situation is more MAGA st the state level.
We don’t have much time — midterms and then 2028.
Everything is going great but we can’t just sit back and enjoy it. We’ve got to get involved in state work as much as possible and other community organizations such as school boards and groups fighting for fair elections.
Concerning power and elections in each state, we must also, as Dutchman says, get MAGA representation in state GOP groups and formal committees (defeat rinos on their home turf).
Every little bit will help!
Virginia is the November. It is a big state close to DC. Lots of financial connection to DC
Fully agree.
See time after time after time where an elected official actually does
very well for a given constituency. Or a police sergeant does a fantastic time.
You have a school principal who does a terrific job. Because they care about
what they’re doing.
And…. they get promoted up the chain. And what they managed to do
starts to actually help NOBODY because swamps exist in all levels.
If there was some way to address that , and reward the examplary, we
could fix many state and local problems.
Well, its Gaetz, and your proof that some people just don’t get it.
Getting Gaetz OUT of Congress was the key to getting the R caucus to give President Trump his nominees and his budgetary and legislstive agenda.
It was NEVER President Trumps intentiin to actually have Matt its all about me Gaetz as his A.G.
It was NEVER going to happen, and President Trump KNEW that, when he nominated him.
I initially thought the exact same thing about Rubio as a way to get him out of the Senate and off the Intelligence Committee, but he has pleasantly surprised me so far.
They all do under the tutelage of Trump, but as soon as they go free range they become a threat to the Republic!
I agree and was just going on about it to the husband as we were driving this morning. Rubio even looks as though he is much happier. We just learned he realized early Ukraine needed an exit. That interests me that Rubio was open.
Lutnick is enjoying himself. That Ford idiot didn’t stand a chance during that energy call.
Rubio has had the weight of the world lifted off his shoulders, even though
he is working at at a difficult, thankless job.
He no longer has to curtail any attempts at actually doing anything meaningful.
Doing something useful was probably on his mind back when, but it got tabled
by donors blackmailing him, congress higherups doing likewise.
It’s very possible he feels liberated, so he is going at the job with gusto.
And, notice that he didn’t brag whatsoever about the good job he was planning to
do?
Makes you wonder about some others we could mention who relentlessly blew
their own horn. prior to their current appointments.
Bill has no place in a Trump admin.
😂 😂
Gaetz
I think Bondi was a concession to the deep state to get his other controversial picks through.
At least the crooks felt a certain relief thinking they’d have more time to cover their tracks before a real AG took the reigns.
Personally I wish it were otherwise but Trump the negotiator felt this was his best path to accomplishing what we voted for him to do.
I know he’s on it 24/7.
He’ll make a move when the time is right.

So far, Bondi is nothing more than a TV personality. But I’ve previously promised to reserve judgement til the end of March. By then she should have made some big announcements of lawsuits or charges against deep state players or the two-tiered justice system. Or at least “investigations” into said.
If not, well…… she’ll be proven to be nothing more than eye candy for Gen X and Boomers.
Man, I’m I impressed….This is how you do it….the best if yet to come…
Absolutely LOVE Howard! That idiot woman didn’t have a chance even with her repeated lies about inflation and interest rates rising.
The February inflation report was based on January numbers which were under Biden! The March report which came out this morning was on February numbers and inflation was DOWN!
President Trump said not so long ago that he wakes up every morning saying, “Business. It’s all about business.”
Unlike every other leader who probably wakes up thinking, “It’s politics. It’s all about politics.”
Advantage?
President Trump.
And us.
He must be channeling his inner Calvin Coolidge (past US President). He apparently once said, “the chief business of the American people is business. They are profoundly concerned with producing, buying, selling, investing and prospering in the world.” And guess what, he also liked protective tariffs to keep American manufacturing safe. Not like the sleazy business of today where everything is about offshoring.
In my opinion, Calvin Coolidge was one of America’s four greatest Presidents. In chronological order-George Washington, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.
I consider myself blessed to have been alive to witness two of those presidents in action.
President Trump should at least be #2. None of the other presidents had to deal with citizens as messed up in the head as PDJT has had to navigate through and around. The immoral woke folks have caused messes that the others wouldn’t have fathomed possible.
He did say chronological order so…

Wow not many have witnessed George and Calvin.
In all fairness, we do have quite a few Social Security recipients in America who lived through all four of those administrations.
I can’t disagree.
I’ve done a bit of reading on Coolidge and he doesn’t get the attention he deserves.
i would add James K Polk the 11th president to that list
Considering elitist snobbery, witness Dorothy Parker’s quoted take on
Calvin Coolidge’s death:L
“How can they tell?”
What we’re seeing now with the removed from any hardship AWFULs
has gone on for many decades. Coolidge helped the average guy.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if in schools students were taught about such presidents as Coolidge who contributed to the general well being and growth of America? And those who, like Wilson, set about its destruction?
and Obama and Biden . . .
Here you go Bets, fixed it for you…
Unlike every other leader who probably wakes up thinking, “It’s
politicsmoney. It’s all aboutpoliticsmoney.”😉 😁 😘
I accept the correction, dear Arminius 😉
Although I must add after going away for a little think…
President Trump rightly takes the view that this country is a business….USA, Inc. And as such he runs it like one.
Profits, losses, bottom lines…everything which has allowed him to become successful, including his failures which if anything have probably taught him more than those successes. He’s a businessman first and foremost.
Any business running as long as this nation has on consistent losses, with no years in the green with ever increasing black holes would have had the receivers in and been brought to a sorry close..
Other “leaders” take no care or notice of their countries in that regard. Europe especially is on the verge of financial collapse because their guarantor, America/President Trump, has withdrawn their “loan”.
Their only concern is that they ascend to or remain in power….so that they can enrich themselves, as you note. And to effect that scenario, they must present themselves as electable. Otherwise known as politics. The first and only thing which no doubt occupies their venal minds 24/7. No real world experience necessary.
Investigate the backgrounds of those people in power today, and I can almost promise you, none have ever had to get their hands dirty or worry where their next meal is coming from by their own labours.
That’s a more in-depth explanation of what I meant in my original post…

certainly the case if Barry
Betsy. Absolutely. A leader that cares about the people and the nation. A truly rare find. It shocks me to see how many Americans hate Trump. They have no idea what kind of opportunity they have.
Here in Canada over 50% of my income is gone to various taxes. It is suffocating. Soul sucking. Govt waste. So many people seem to want to live in poverty. It blows my mind to see pushback by Americans.
DD
Just curious DD. How many Canadians feel like you do or most brain washed?
Canadian Media 100% controlled. Like watching CNN or MSNBC 24 hours per day with no exceptions.
Want to know how Canadians feel? Immigration is out of control because the Liberals and the NDP, same as the Democratic Party, need to steal votes from new-comers, especially those who can be controlled.
See what the Canadian Truckers got done? That is Canada. Those “Canadians” in power are servants of Europe.
The world noticed Trudeau ran to the seclusion of a COVID spa when the Truckers neared Ottawa.
Many Conservative Canadians were very pro Trump until he began his talk about taking over Canada. It has gone way beyond some good natured trolling now. Now even conservative Canadians are lining up with the Liberals who are wrapping themselves in the flag and crying patriotism. I don’t exactly know what Canadians are proud of, or what we think we are protecting. Our way of life sucks! Taxes are insane. We are completely and totally morally bankrupt! I want to ask these Canadians exactly why they are proud to be Canadian.
DD
D.D. My apologies for sounding a tad arrogant, but the majority of we Canadians ( including so called Conservatives) are entitled, smug and arrogant fools.
If one listened to local “ news” 😟 etc one would think things are wonderful.
We have paid idiots wandering around counting the homeless…these homeless are drug addicted, mentally ill and are so far gone that they are sub human.
Folks need to feel real pain before any change comes.
When were you last in Greater Vancouver?
Multi million dollar condos are “ a dime a dozen” in numerous local municipalities.
Countless luxury vehicles are on the roads…
Average folks are millionaires simply on owning or inheriting a detached house in Greater Vancouver.
It is IMO a bubble, however it is a few decades away from bursting.
That said..It is all in Gods hands.
We would not even be having this discussion if the Sniper in Butler Pa. assassinated President Trump.
Cheers!
My wife and I are desperately worried that the attempts are not over. I whisper prayers for Trump often. As Sundance has stated, “Trillions are at stake”. There are countless entities that do not want to see President Trump’s plan to succeed.
DD
Worry is optional, but is injurious to one’s health.
Optimism but with one’s feet planted firmly on the ground, serves me well.
Cheers!
Wouldn’t many Conservative Canadians like the fact that if you did become the 51st State your taxes would drop by over 20%?
I do think a lot of this is just trolling to get a response, they beclown themselves every time and it’s pretty entertaining. However what it should also be doing is exactly what you said – making Canadians come together and feel patriotic about something. If you really don’t want to end up as the 51st state, then make a real economy that builds stuff for Canadians and the domestic market and then export some of that stuff to the rest of the world. Attaching your economy to ours and hoping for the scraps isn’t going to work any longer, you will just end up collapsing into number 51.
Gotta start being forthright with Canadians. The imbalanced trade charges/fee results in Canada being our biggest welfare queen. They are a proxy country and blackmail The USA into propping their economy up, via unfair trade, with the threat of not protecting our shared border from enemies of the USA. Well, they stopped guarding America, stopped being a buffer zone and turned us over to Chynah.
Any doubts, look at the electricity fiasco. We are not in a trade war with Canada. We are in a border war with Chynah.
Ever think that Trump just planted a seed? Watch how it grows!
EXACTLY…HE’S TROLLER IN CHIEF…..
There is no way in Hell we would want to absorb so many uber woke liberals thrust onto the voter rolls….
I mean this is EXACTLY what the dems have been trying to do with the unobstructed flow of ILLEGAL INVADERS across our borders…plays right into the Soros Globalist agenda.
AND PISSES OFF our fellow SANE conservative Canadian brothers and sisters…..
No thanks, to CanaDuh.
regardless of anyone’s feelings
Canada has been ripping off the US for decades
and our previous administrations have let it happen
Dan Dale: Move to Southern California. The politics and taxes will remind you of Canada, but the weather is much nicer (except, it’s raining today).
Like you, Dan, the hatred simply is beyond my understanding.
Regardless of how much better off those haters will be, I struggle to understand the vitriol….and cannot.
Remembering when that degenerate Biden was elected and gas prices shot up, watching a man in California pumping it into his car. The person recording the small video was asking him what he thought of how fast and how high prices were going…
And this man said that he didn’t care, President Trump was out of office.
How to make sense of that sort of (non)thinking??
I want you to know, my friend, I am keeping you and all our Canadian brothers and sisters in constant prayer as your landscape changes politically and otherwise. I know others in this Tree of ours are doing the same….please know it. Always, B 🙏🏻
Appreciate it Betsy. I don’t have sympathy for the Canadians that champion their woke insanity. May their chains rest lightly upon them, and may they wallow about in their poverty happily.
DD
Thank you for the informative answers. Your battle sounds like it’s an uphill climb. I followed the truckers strike and was very sad at the outcome. May the people of Canada come to their senses and fight back as we have..
That we have so many President Trump haters/detractors here in the USA still , is mind boggling.
The old saying
” cutting off your nose to spite your face ”
On steroids.
Satan truly has people blinded by hatred.
The biggest problem with a leader that cares about the people and the nation is getting that person into office! There’s too many gators in the Swamp!
So this is what it’s like to have a team of people working for America instead of for themselves…
Bravo!
Agree, Retired.
It is a sad in America when we finally see an American president stand up for America First, too many among us call it bullying. Goes to show you how long it has been that we’ve seen true leadership and America First.
I was born in 1969, and IMO, the last time we saw true leadership we can be proud of was with Reagan in the 80s, and he was unfortunately an 8-year light preceded and proceeded by dimwitted and dark leaders. Only by the grade and mercy of an Almighty God did we make to Trump 1 and Trump 2.
Absolutely!
A joyful warrior for the citizens of these United States
An enthusiastic anbassador for the working man and woman, heretofore stomped upon, ignored, and sneered at by those who have lined their own pockets in the process.
Secretary Lutnik positively wiggles with each word he speaks, knowing lives are valued and are about to get so much better.
Brought by a man who has seethed for decades as America has been sold off…piece by piece.
How can we not be uplifted by the thought of it?
So true Betsy! Secretary Lutnik is so gifted at breaking down the complex concepts with examples that are so relatable to main street America. Like PDJT his love of the country is so authentic.
One of us on my end knows a 37 year old guy who died from fentanyl. He left a very young daughter and Canada, Mexico, and China does not, willfully will not, stop the flow?
Let’s make no mistake: it is the globalist who are doing this. And, they will fight to the last Ukraine to slaughter the whole of Russia with mass casualties in a nuclear holocaust for America for their cause. And, they will bankrupt and drive to poverty the average Canadian and American for their economic policies, which makes them filthy rich. They do not care about except theirs and their own.
So, we need to stop the flow of fentanyl and only now do I realize the flow path includes Canada and Mexico. I think we need to shutdown all trade and all traffic to stop the murdering of Americans. Again, the globalists do not care who gets hurt or killed. I don’t want to see another precious little girl without her father.
Seal the border NOW!!!!
My friend is raising four grandbabies..Fentanyl has hit SW PA hard.
I have to say, Lutnick has been an excellent surrogate. He seems very supportive of President Trump’s policies and always enthusiastic/optimistic. Exactly what we need, especially compared to the disloyal saboteurs he had in his last administration.
Amazing how when you have principled billionaires running the country (meaning in key positions) they can’t be bought so they look out for the interests of the American people!
He gave the best explanation of MAGANOMICS in a nutshell I have ever seen.
I guess when you lose ALL of your employees in the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor, a good man can become a great man or a bitter man.
Fortunately for us and the world, Secretary Lutnick chose the former, more difficult path.
Harold Lutnick is a NATIONAL TREASURE .
Who is Harold? is he Howard Lutnick’s long lost cousin?
and even if he is, what does he have to do with any of this?
Wow. Pretty uncalled for, I think….
So…. Is this a permanent solution to ” The Fleecing of America ?” Or just a temporary stay? When will We the People wake the f*** up?
Know your a Grunt. Your trained for “hurry up and wait”… Always gotta try and anticipate the command. President Trump has got this. He is hurrying and we don’t need to wait…
By the time 4 years goes by the American public will never elect anyone who is or does not mimic Trumpanomics/MAGA solutions and governing. Gotta say that crazy 20% of the population will still vote for whomever but hopefully you get the picture!? 😎👍🙏🏽
We are awake. We have been awake. It will take time to dig out these traitors without burning it all down.
We could saturate the surface of earth with neutron bombs and let the cockroaches inherit the earth, but, this does seem like a good idea. We need to preserve the good while eliminating the bad, like any gardener. However, we have left our garden unattended as we were distracted by useless, trivial diversions.
We have extremely hard work ahead of us, which will, if we are blessedly fortunate, take only decades and without war.
I meant to say it does NOT seem like a good idea to allow cockroaches to inherit the earth.
It IS the cockroaches that we work to rid ourselves of now..
That woman can’t fathom saying something nice about Trump or his policies. She has nothing but negativity. Nice to see someone so out of touch exposed.
This
womanpretender is beyond repulsive! Her hatred oozes out from her mouth! Her facial expressions are ugly.It was wonderful to watch Howard slap her around verbally though I doubt her hubris was knocked down a notch.
It’s the posing as the intellectual in the room that’s so annoying.
This was more like an inquisition than an interview. I couldn’t watch the whole thing.
Hmmm. My grocery stores and gas station must be experiencing a lag. Examples: frozen veggies I buy up 37 cents as of two weeks ago. An organic grass fed beef product I buy up 49 cents as of two weeks ago. Mid-grade gas rising by 9 cents a gallon since January 8. I expected some pain in this transition, and I am willing to endure it. Am I seeing price gouging instead?
No Gouging. Because of intense competition, Grocery stores ,gas stations operate on a very slim margin 2-4%.
What you see is the same old inflation. Nothing changed. The price increases from the tariffs has not shown up in the economy yet.
Gasoline runs on a 90 day cycle. What you paid for gasoline today was based on oil prices 3 months ago. IN SW Missouri, eggs have dropped about $1.50 a dozen in the last few days
Then why, when an imbecile a half a world away in the Middle East fires a missile at the shipping lanes in the Gulf on one day, the very next day like clockwork the price for a gallon of fuel goes up at my local gas station? Haven’t the fuel companies already fully paid for the fuel shipped and pumped into the tanks at my local station BEFORE the attack? If so, why should I be paying more? Seems to me the 90-day lag to DECREASE prices should apply to an INCREASE in prices. (At least give consumers a week to adjust to what we know will be an incoming price increase, rather than 24 hours or less. Sheesh.)
I know there’s more to all this than meets the eye, but in the end, consumers sure feel gouged at the pump.
Unexpected events such as a few missiles or hurricanes out in the gulf, is just a market reaction and usually short lived.
“the very next day like clockwork the price for a gallon of fuel goes up at my local gas station? Haven’t the fuel companies already fully paid for the fuel shipped and pumped into the tanks at my local station BEFORE the attack?”
That has been happening for years here in western NY.
Then it takes weeks for the price to drop after things settle down.
No, you are seeing lagging Bidenomics. Just cause old Joes crew are out, and many of his policies are in the process of being undone, dorsn’t mean you are going to see instant gratification.
You can still ‘thank’ Joe for the economy, and pfobably for another 6-8 months, at least…
More daily “winnamins”!!! For the longest time I thought we’d never get here!!! And it’s only day 52!!!
With NATO attacks going rogue as we saw recently (that is, Trump said “no, we aren’t providing this targeting service!”) and it happened anyway, the future of NATO and US membership in NATO is uncertain.
If the US exits NATO or is booted from NATO, who thinks Canada will join the US and leave NATO as well? I don’t. I don’t think anyone would think that. NATO them becomes a hostile organization as it is clear they are BENT on create a global war and it seems they don’t expect the USA to survive with all of the measures taken to weaken the USA in every flipping way!
We need to be prepared with self-sufficiency. We need to be stable when the rest of the world is not. If we never have to face the reality that our friends in other countries are now “the enemy” then all the better — the USA will still be stronger and more independent and the world will be better off with a strong USA who is also no longer engaging in regime changes of foreign governments and worse.
Tariffs are expected to be normal and the income taxes at the federal level removed and at the state level as well because it will become incredibly unpopular for states to continue doing that.
I think you grossly misinterpret events, and hence your prognostications are way off..
I think you should be more specific if you want to impress anyone. I’m OK with being wrong about something, but if you just say “you’re wrong” and say nothing about what I’m wrong about? You’re just a lazy, “intellectual” troll.
You know what I say to lazy, “intellectual” trolls? Instead of what I would usually say, I will say “fornicate yourself.”
Why does this “a clear, well-thought-out plan” demand sound like “tell us what you’re planning so we can torpedo it”?
Don’t think the US will pull out of NATO or get kicked out by EU types who are the prime beneficiaries. Could certainly see US forces moving to Hungary or Poland and down sizing. Think the situation outside the US may be more problematic than advertised. As demographics collapse it will be harder to maintain modern economies. The US will ride out the storm because PDJT is a visionary. Some currently viable economies will be in dire situations.
The thing that’s really going to screw the American economy is if energy prices go through the roof.
Therefore, every single American needs to be asking Trump why he’s becoming aggressive towards Iran.
Per the letter he sent to them which he referred to in a Fox interview last few days and to which Iran reacted negatively, yesterday.
Because America can’t afford that, and if America attacks Iran, energy prices WILL spike, and stay right up there, because the ME is a powderkeg right now, thanks solely to what “your greatest ally” has been doing in the region last coupla years.
Just saying.
https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/iran-defiantly-tells-trump-do-whatever-hell-you-want-oil-crackdown
I would actually rather take a much more aggressive tone with Iran who wants to wipe Israel off the map and perhaps a little less of an aggressive attitude towards Alberta that has some of the hardest working and most conservative people in the world.
DD
Evidence please. Where’s the evidence? Don’t tell me Iran is ruled by mad Mullahs who have made statements, it’s a serious nation, thousands of years old. This is ancient Persia we’re talking about. Fake news propaganda about Iran being an insane dictatorship ruled by a coupla madmen who’d willingly sacrifice their entire civilisation for the sake of “getting Israel” doesn’t cut it.
Iran DOES NOT HAVE A SINGLE NUKE.
Israel has 200+.
How does this make Israel unsafe and Iran a mortal threat?
Evidence.
Please.
Ultimately, Saudis will deal with Iran, should it become necessary.
PDJT’s foreign policy, as elucidated by Sundance, is to make REGIONAL players “step up” and take responsibility for stability in their area.
The Saudis, leading a coalition of gulf States, can checkmate the Iranians.
No, they can’t. Neither can Israel and neither can the US. Unless the US wants to use nukes. Which brings in Russia. And China.
Every time the US has war gamed an Iran attack, the US has lost. Per Larry Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell.
FAFO.
The Saudis could not even “Deal” with Yemen even with the help of UAE and the USA.
They will not take on Iran.
They do not want unstoppable Iranian missiles raining down and destroying their precious oil infrastructure.
President Trump is saying he will stop all oil exports from Iran.
In response Iran can close the Straights of Hormuz.
Nothing we can do about it.

If Trump tries that, the US can kiss goodbye to any negotiations with China in future, for the forseeable future. And all Chinese exports to America will likely be immediately suspended, which means the US won’t for example be able to manufacture pharmaceuticals anymore. At all.
What’s that going to do to the mid-terms?
Yes indeed, Iran, Russia, and China are conducting joint naval exercises in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Iran.
The operation is called Security Belt.
It is a clear message to anyone watching. Who Iran’s powerful Allies are, and that they are well involved in Iran’s already very capable defense.

“War games”
About 10 years ago (IIRC), I read an article in Popular Mechanics about tactics developed by Red China to counter our aircraft carriers.
The most promising (to them) was an ICBM with a small nuclear warhead to target the Carrier and it’s battle group from directly overhead.
When the US returns to being a net exporter of oil, the US sets the prices. It’s that simple and that makes Iran irrelevant.
Or you build refineries that can process light sweet crude. Last I checked Iran consisted of 10 ethnicities kept in check by a largely Persian revolutionary guard. Believe Israel severely degraded their Russian air defense system recently. Iran only holds cards when democrats send them pallets of cash to squander.
I fell in love with this guy after his speech at the Trump Rally at Madison Square Garden.
a word of caution on interest rates….. we cannot go back to the “old days” where interest rates were in negative territory. It discourages saving, it hammers retirees that rely on dividend income from CDs, bonds, etc, and it creates a reckless corporate spending frenzy that is irresponsible in the long run. It also allows individuals to buy stuff they can’t afford and further worsen our personal debt situation in America that is already nearing a crisis level.
It might pop the market, but it’s bad long-term. We need sensible, reasonable interest rates, not free money. There is too much free stuff already in the USA.
You are 100% correct! A decade of zero interest rates did not help our economy, or our citizens! People bought things they couldn’t afford, and many ran up huge student loan and credit card debts that they are now unable to repay! Borrowing money used to be hard, so that people would think carefully before they took out a loan! We need to return to a culture that rewards savings and living within one’s means AND we need to stop encouraging people to buy crap they don’t need, with money they don’t have, to impress people they usually don’t even like!
(And yes, the other side of that equation is that we need to once again reward people who work hard with a pathway to a decent middle class life, preferably on one income, if they choose that option! But that’s a whole different conversation…)
I agree, and weaning the economy off of no interest, and other means enacted after the great 2008 whatever it was, is part of stabilising the economy.
Hopefully, with the river of $ that his policies are going to produce, more people won’t be relying on credit to stay afloat..
This guy is absolutely inspirational. He’s killing CBS with inspiration!! They can’t argue against that!
I can’t decide, who has more self-control and discipline;
President Putin, for not just anialating those eurowienie Globullusts, or Sec. Lutnik, for not leaning over and pimp slapping the shiznit out of that CBS Urinalist?.
WHAT a stupid biotch,..proving there is no cure for stupidity or terminal TDS.
Lutnik IS a great cheerleader for President Trump, and spokesperson to explain his policies, and going on CBS WAS the right venue, because thats what the idiots watch…hopefully some will hear HIM, and snap out of their stupor, instead of only hearing and then mindlessly repeating the mantras of the Urinalist.
Predict ratio of former to latter is going to approximately resemble the Russian|Ukraine casualty ratio: 10:1.
One idiot at a time…
PUTIN has absolutely amazed me with his self control. He waited patiently for Trump to return and fix things. It was VERY obvious.
DUTCH ….YOU TOOK TOOK THE THOUGHTS RIGHT OUT MY HEAD….!!
I only made it 14 minutes and kept getting more and more PISSED BY THE SECOND!!
What an INSUFFERABLE P.O.S!!
THEY ARE ALL THE SAME EVERY FRICKING UTTERANCE IS NEGATIVE…!! Why talk to ANY OF THEM….?!
The man is A SAINT… and incomparable COMMUNICATOR ….Who has that kind of patience and STAMINA….?
I luv this guy more and more every time I’m see him speak……
rant over ….Im soooo pissed I cant think straight…..
I simply LOVE that Adjective!
Unapologetically MAGA. What a breath of fresh air!
The Mel Brooks of finance takes questions from nurse kratchet.
NOT in anyway implying Lutnick isn’t a genius.
I’ll go along with that. He was very entertaining!
I was ready to throw in the towel last fall…our business with inflation and selling two investment properites low lost us 100000..the eviction moratoreum ended up a nightmare with months and months of court cases and evictions. We are mom and pop landlords. You think putting people out on the street is easy..it’s not yet watching people live for free and destroy property is infuriating. Our rentals were below market rate with utilities included. The investor we sold to flipped them in a week and raised the rent 500 a month.. I watcher Howard Lutnick interviewed last fall. He spelled out Trumps plan and my hope returned.. Last week I had the biggest surge in short term rental bookings in a long time…today the numbers came out and I almost cried with Joy!!! We are going to make it!!!
Wonderful!
So many people in business have suffered dreadfully over Obama’s three terms.
Without real journalism most of the public didn’t learn about the awful problems. I hope people like yourself who are experiencing a turnaround will speak up now, so we can all share the joy and encourage hope for better days.
I do like this kind of winning. More, please!
Eggs have gone down??? I have not see that here where I live in NC.
Explore non traditional grocery stores/chains. We did through local social media sites. Discovered (4) home-based egg suppliers. Free range. Always fresh. Non GMO. Washed or unwashed. Between $4 – $6/dozen; brown, beautiful and tasty. We save the cartons and do an exchange. Several suppliers are self-serve –> honor system.
Of course the price of eggs will fall as supply and demand normalize after the mindless destruction of millions of hens. But it will take some time. Those hens have to be replaced and adult hens are not manufactured on some assembly line.
What would happen to the price of beef if millions of steers were slaughtered for some reason? And the return to a normal supply would take years, not months. Just be patient.
Please do not give ‘them’ any ideas. Love a good Ribeye!
NC is a fema sanctuary state.
I’m not sure if there is/was a bird flu tax.

That’s the DEI crowd insisting that you put roosters on the nests.
Why do the Big Wheels waste their time with these Lefty losers? We never hear these hardball questions asked of Lefty pols! No wonder I chit canned the boob tube from my house over a decade ago! Why don’t these people ask the return question of when are the Dems going to put Americans first??? Let the interviewer get uncomfortable!
The only reason I can think this amazing, brilliant, Big Wheel would waste his time with this sorry excuse for MSM is maybe… just maybe … he will reach a few more who are still tuning in to MSM?
One can always hope that his articulate, upbeat and well delivered message in replying to her inane questioning and antagonistic facial expressions will finally open a few more eyes and ears to just how fake MSM truly is!!
I love Sec. Lutnick’s cheerful, super-positive demeanor – he mentally has his sleeves rolled up, getting into the work of Making America Great Again!
Oh how I wish there was somebody with this enthusiasm on the Canadian team with a positive outlook and not a whiney, poor me attitude.
I heard a recently retired ATF agent call in to a radio program yesterday to discuss the fentanyl issue and the Mexican cartels.
He said that every time we call for Mexico to stop the flow of illegal drugs, they call for us to stop the supply of American guns to Mexico.
He then said that 70-75 percent of the guns recovered at crime scenes in Mexico, which are traced to U.S. origin, were purchased by the Mexican military and law enforcement.
He added that many of those weapons were purchased by Mexican authorities using money from American taxpayers to fight the cartels.
One way to put pressure on the Mexican government would be to end these sales.
The financial markets are down about $4T. Support will drop like a rock if this doesn’t correct soon. Even his TSLA buddy is down 50%. Billionaires getting nervous.
I am in love with Secretary Lutnick. I could listen to him all day. What a guy !!
I loved Howard’s answers, but with that woman it was a hard watch!
He handled her very well. He slapped down every talking point she tried to go with and did it with enthusiasm.
“Ford (Motor Company) had been working with suppliers to stockpile aluminum materials ahead of the Wednesday deadline. Even though the company gets most of its aluminum sheet from rolling mills in the U.S., those suppliers rely on smelters in Canada to provide much of the aluminum they roll. ” (WSJ)
Is there excess Smelting capacity in the USA?
While I can agree Ontario’s Doug Ford’s little electricity head fake was not well thought out, what exactly is the alternative to some of these tariffed products, like Raw aluminum ingots?
Canada and the EU are flipping out, so I’m saying “Good”. Thanks PRESIDENT Donald J Trump!!
Balanced with the chaos in the world, Trump is doing an excellent job!
This is why the media and the democrats (tautology, if you ask me) keep shouting as loudly as possible about the inflation and egg prices. Gaslighting is their only play.
Canada is the world’s fourth largest producer and second largest exporter of aluminum. However, with no domestic bauxite mines (the key ingredient for aluminum production), Canada imports ores and refined alumina for production. Brazil is Canada’s main supplier of alumina and bauxite, accounting for 73% of the $2.3 billion in imports in 2023.

Arkansas has bauxite.

Invitation to another California to join the Union.
THANK YOU!! This seems to be a YUGE blindspot for those that think that think that Trumps team is being serious…. This is a bunch super smart successful NYC smart asses, and this is how they roll….in your face and laughing at you.
I anticipate gas prices will be below $2/gal., i.e., reg. unleaded after Memorial Day.
never seen a thread go so OT so fast……lmao
Thank you to Mr. Lutnick for putting up with this moron. Unfortunately the level of intellect in the MSM is at an all time low and he has to spend much of his time schooling them.
Don’t get me wrong, there is no hope for people such as this interviewer to become enlightened and understand what is happening.
Rather they, the MSM are just being used by the Trump administration to get the word out to those of us who can comprehend what Lutnick is saying.
It is clear how stupid the MSM and normies of the USA have become.
I will add. Car loan rates are down.
It was frustrating to hear such inane questions and pear clutching. The stock market down, unemployment is up, rescission.
Then Lutnick says to shut her up, what about the debt, the deficit????
Anyone that has had financial problems know you don’t fix it them in 6 weeks. But the media wants to make it all gloom and doom…
I agree with the President’s tariffs. It is high time that the U.S. ceased being played by everyone else, and everyone else includes our own “elites” and politicians in many cases. But I also think the tariffs should be applied differently.
Here is how I think handling tariffs and other trade restrictions should be handled. Anytime a foreign country applies a tariff on American goods, the U.S. should automatically apply a tariff to that other country that is equal in effect. For example, if someone puts a tariff on our wheat in order to protect their own wheat crop, but they don’t export their wheat to us, then we put a tariff of equal effect on them but on different product(s) that they do want to export to us, so that our tariff has the same effect on them as theirs has on us. If they increase their tariff, we automatically increase our tariff. If they decrease or eliminate their tariff, then we automatically decrease or eliminate ours. It would be up to them what we do. The message would be clear – get rid of your tariff if you want us to get rid of ours. Just that simple.
There are many other things that also act to restrict trade, such as property ownership. Some countries (such as China, if I understand correctly) prohibit our companies from owning property in their country (such as for putting up a factory). Fine, so we should prohibit their companies from owning land in the U.S. If they don’t like that, then they can change their regulations and then we will change ours, provided that they also have a legal system that is reasonably unbiased and independent so that a change in their rules is not merely for show. There are many other things that can impact trade as well and we should apply this kind of automatic reciprocity as much as possible.
Also, I think that the notion of “most favored nation” status (it was changed in U.S. law to “normal trade relations” in 1998, but is still basically the same) should not apply to any country that is actively working to undermine our economy or is a threat to our defense. Such as, China clearly should not enjoy this status. Countries joining BRICS to undermine the U.S. dollar should not enjoy this status. We should only extend this status to countries that are actually our friend, which means many countries right now would lose this status unless their behavior toward the U.S. changed. We should get realistic about all aspects of our relations with these countries.
Get rid of the utopian notion of “free trade”. It can never be completely free. Fair trade is what we should be striving for.
I’ll have what HE’S having.
I love Mr. Lutnick’s enthusiasm for America.
I think it’s going to be rocky the next couple months.
On the egg issue, I was just at the store today, Kroger in Middle TN, and 18 eggs were $8. Two weeks ago they were $7. I’ve also noticed the weekly ads suck the last three weeks for both Kroger and Publix. They may be sticking to their high prices for meats just to stick it to President Trump.
Man, I thought I like Peter Navarro. I like Howard Lutnick even more.
YES…. from the same crucible …..
of course President Trump and Lutnick are correct.
President Trump is head of the brain trust
and Lutnick is a member in great standing
What a great interview!
This guy really knows how to verbalize the potential and the realities.
Thank you, President Trump!
I could only make through 5 minutes. This idiot interviewer kept getting stuck on “What about Wall Street??” without giving a hoot about Main Street.
I’ll try again in a while when I am more in the mood to fast forward when she is talking and just listen to his answers. I am certain that Lutnick did fabulously.
I love “USA Tariff Hammer.” It has such a nice ring to it.
It would be nice to see an MSM interview where the interviewer isn’t guided by talking points, but is reasonably intelligent.
I am so impressed with Lutnick. He is exactly what USA/PDJT needs. I wish I had cash, seems like we are going to be on a rocket with our economy very soon.
It is unfortunate though, that there will be some disturbance manufactured by the Left, that will emerge to create destruction.. We must not live in fear but be aware; live your best life now and everyday – as Sundance says – and we will have a legal justice system to these treasonous bastards one by one.
Lots of praise for Lutnick. His solution for using postal workers for census workers was brilliant. But his speaking style is as if is on Squawk Box. He needs more polished answers and better prep rather than using raw emotion all the time.
Let Secretary Lutnick be Secretary Lutnick. His enthusiasm and love is refreshing.
