The tone of the Washington Post article is about Musk and DOGE potentially violating privacy rules by extracting data held within the U.S. Dept of Education. However, if you take out the narrative engineering political part, what you are left with is the core issue we have discussed. The tech team approach is to pull the govt data into their AI model and use the modeling to evaluate efficiency.

I’m sure there is some value in this process. In fact, I am certain that utilization of enhanced algorithmic AI software to streamline government data systems does hold merit. However, that’s not the big picture issue that concerns CTH. {GO DEEP}
Time is short, so rather than continue repeating the previous background, let me cut to the chase.
Everything we see unfolding, from the Tech Bro alignment with Trump, to the network of influence after the election, to the selection and advisement of specific individuals to join the administration, all the way to the first-round expose’ of USAID, should be looked upon with a background forecast.
(1) gaining access to govt data was the goal; (2) monetizing the system with proprietary AI contracts (vis-a-vis Palantir) is the benefit; (3) however, a national security justified surveillance state is going to be the outcome.
As people are shocked at the USAID spending scandal unfolding, I would posit the USAID silo was chosen first for DOGE exploration specifically because the subsequent outrage would gain the highest amount of public support for the pending solution. It’s the pending solution to the crisis that we should be very focused on.
The USAID/CIA bad stuff was well known, just not to the larger public. DOGE provided the receipts, which engages the larger public.

This is a sore spot for me. Thirty years ago when I had to hire detectives in a case, they had to go through all kinds of contortions to avoid being spotted taking pictures. I was horrified when the first cell phones with built-in cameras came out. Apparently, I was alone.
Now, almost everyone has smart phones with their entire lives exposed and their whereabouts tracked, and cameras elsewhere abound. Not to mention IoT, late model cars, social media, electronic banking, electronic everything. No one resisted.

For the vast majority of people, EVERYTHING is gettable. And close to instantaneously. Know who is not? Illegals and other criminals without ID or with faked IDs, a relative handful of folks living “off the grid” who also have made a concerted effort to avoid being traced, and, albeit only partially, a somewhat larger very small group who eschew electronic communications, electronic devices, phones and government utilities, motor vehicles, credit cards and etc.

When I read these “seemingly contrarian” articles I am reminded of this scene from one of the early Star Trek movies, and Kirk’s revelatory “What does God need with a starship?” moment.
In that context, I appreciate these wake-up calls. As someone who is pathologically cynical and suspicious, my first instinct is also to question motives of constructs like DOGE, political parties, or any institutions that are involved with trillion dollar enterprises.
What gives me a bit of optimism about DOGE’s actions is the fact that there was no other viable path to break the logjam of grift and corruption – i.e. the first step in this process had to be discovery, tangible exposure of the corruption, and elimination of those that were perpetrating it. Using “AI” at this point is just the most efficient way to do this expeditiously. As a retired IT-finance guy, I have seen that the alternative of an army of PwC or Deloitte forensic accountants would have taken months to reach this same point.
The tool itself isn’t dangerous, and I am not sure it breaches any new ground with regard to the government institutions’ access to private information that they don’t already have. But the real tells here will be 1) whether there is punishment for the crimes that have been committed for decades and 2) What if anything is reconstituted coming out of the assessment work. There is no AI needed for the future steady state, because AI is no substitute for properly motivated and morally guided human judgment.
The moral of this story is “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance”.

I don’t think this program can be stopped. It can’t work unless it is allowed to see everything. The only hope is for the Supreme Court to stop them at the doorstep of Our Liberties, but that would require the Court to understand exactly what is happening. There has never been effective oversight of the NSA’s bulk collections programs, or indeed, intelligence agencies in general. There’s been a lot of noise made about this vaunted oversight in defense of programs revealed by leaked documents, but this is nothing more than a talking point.
At The Big Picture, a clip of Sen. John D. Rockefeller (then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence) discussing how oversight actually works has been posted. It’s from an interview given in 2007, about the time the FISA Amendments Act was being put together to replace the expiring Protect America Act. The amendments act, among other things, extended the length of warrantless surveillance and gave telecoms retroactive immunity for their participation in the NSA’s bulk collections.
Here’s Sen. John D. Rockefeller explaining why, even back in 2007, intelligence agency oversight was a joke.
DAVIS: Reports quote administration officials as saying this is going on and it’s being done in a way to avoid oversight of the Intelligence Committee. Is there any way—

I think we need to be clear, will the new IC surveillance state cover the payment systems and all citizens? My guess is the payment systems for sure, and that will be centered in Treasury, however, you cannot Constitutionally place everyone on the “watch list.” this needs to play out.
My bet is Trump and Bondi and justice have a plan for this too. This is coordinated, strategic, and measured. Throwing the elimination of the income tax out there is one piece for many to chew on, but as things take shape, this is what we are working toward.
But today we have the narrative of more fear of inflation due to tariffs, as if right on cue. The real story is that government spending and tax collection are going to crater, driving down inflation and borrowing costs for everyone, including uncle Sam. Its the top of the 1st, and I haven’t even headed out for beer and peanuts yet.

My humble opinion: the problem is that the federal government is far and away too large to manage. I see three solutions; first, status quo, aka, the Democrat solution, aka, suicide of the US. Second solution is to rely on machines (AI) to do the work and pray that the programmers are the saviors of the nation, aka, the crazy dreamer solution. And finally, the third solution: cut drastically the size of the f*ing government, aka, the common sense solution. The use of Musk, Big Balls, et al was a critical tool to demonstrate where this government has gone on spending. Just beginning, but amazing success. This would have taken years for an audit by even the best of forensic accountants. I believe Trump never intended DOGE to become a permanent department: simply a tool. The end game needs to be cut the government to what is needed per the constitution. Golly – this is not rocket science. Yes, uncovering the cockroaches and snakes needed rocket science to expose the problems. But the solution requires US patriots to govern a small US government with FULL transparency. Climbing off my soapbox now……
The Federal Government was never supposed to ‘own’ any land except DC. National Parks should not exist. National Monuments should not exist. They should all be controlled by the state in which they exist.
We have a Forest Service, National Park Service, Wildlife service, Bureau of Land Management, and state and local and federall (national) Envirnmental Protection Agencies. It is unsustainable and unConstitutional. Obama hung a curtain in front of Mt. Rushmore so no one could drive by to view it from a car. Most National Parks were closed by Obama when the Republicans tried to reign in spending after he was electected the first time.

The national park system was created by Theodore Roosevelt, Mr. “Muscular Presidency” himself.
so, what’s the alternative?
If PDJT successfully eliminates personal income tax, the IRS, and collects all revenue via Sales Tax, Tariffs, and other ancillary external taxes then that takes a major arrow out of the quiver of any nefarious pols that may end up in office. The number one thing they would try to get most of us citizens on would be tax evasion. You take that penalty from them, and they would be hard pressed to get a regular American on much of anything by scanning their data.
That being said, we should not want any surveillance of our private information. It’s just that I could see PDJT moving us away from income taxes as a protection against the evils of AI and future bad actors.
This, I think new restrictions on everything will have to be instituted

Sundance, I think you are correct on the end game dangers, but you are also missing the goal of the current deployment.
USAID was hit first in order to disarm the Cabal’s ability to use the Mockingbird Media to gin up Narrative push backs and organize riots. And also to begin to dismantle the trafficking networks and give Sovereign Alliance allies a breather from the Color Revolutions. And also to scare the bejeezus out of Congresscritters who have been on the take, and continue the awakening process with the broader normie public. Lots of winnamins there.
The cost savings is a side benefit and a good white hat Narrative.
It’s not really the main goal. Fiat dollars saved in a fiat dollars system is just moving the illusion around a little.
The real money side of this silent war is still coming.
There is a larger war than the use of funds in the US Government. Funds are tools, and tactics, not strategems.
There is a lot hidden in the DoD and HHS data, from the bioweapons worldwide network to organ trafficking. There is a reason Stephen Miller keeps highlighting child sex trafficking. There is a reason Krish Vignarajah’s name is being surfaced.

Let’s see whether we get any answers about the money streams that erected all the surveillance camera infrastructure at every stoplight and on ramp in the US over the last 8 years – who ordered the contracts, who made a mint off those orders, and who gets access to that constant flow of data? Who gets to train their AI of you sitting at a stoplight glowering because you are late getting to work?
If we get that information, the white hats have power.
If we don’t, then we have evidence to the contrary.
That would be my acid test.
The important thing that is happening is the money flow mapping. When the money is mapped out you can see where it goes. These are not cash payment systems. These payments all leave a trail. Just as everyone is concerned about a digital currency and our personal privacy, the payment system of the US Gov’t is all digital and can be followed. You can then follow the payment through the bank clearing system and see where it goes next. The map of money flow is the key to unraveling the fraud and funding of the political finance and actual personal graft.
It’s been a fun couple of weeks but everything is returning to “normal” for DC.

The fact is that AI is here to stay and will creep into EVERYTHING. What do I think about it? It scares the dodo out of me. AI could be the thing that lifts humanity to the next stage of enlightenment and freedom or it could follow the SkyNet path, I am praying we follow the high road but doubtful it will go that way because humans are guiding it and humans got us into the mess we are currently in. I am hopeful that Musk and Trump use AI to make America a better place, I am praying very hard for it.

AI as a tool to replace medial level workers is real right now. In 6 months we will be able to replace the vast majority of information workers.
I am not sure if President Trump recognizes where this is going. You eliminate 500K federal workers and then the private sector eliminates another 25% of payrolls and we are into a very bad place.
