Get ready for a key geopolitical battle; the fight to end the Marshall Plan.
Since the end of World War II, the USA has permitted a system of one-way trade rules that allowed Europe to rebuild on the backs of the American economy. A series of trade tariffs against U.S. goods was imposed to raise funds for the reconstruction. Those tariffs never ended; the Marshall Plan continues through today.
Additionally, as a measure to allow the EU to focus internally, the USA provided most of the national security protection for the entire region and the American taxpayer funded U.S. military operations throughout Europe so the EU could spend defense money on their rebuilding. Again, that never really ended; and the USA maintains the largest majority of NATO military spending.
President Trump has stated his intention to reset both dynamics. To lower the USA footprint within NATO, demand every NATO member meet its financial obligations, and to reset the trade and tariff system to create equity and reciprocity; thereby effectively ending the Marshall Plan.
The aggregate European Union does not like this Trump trade agenda, nor are they willing to spend more on their own defense. Today, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a press briefing where she spoke about the looming negotiations with President Trump, and stated the EU will never permit financial, economic or military equity. The EU will fight any effort to stop the Marshall Plan. WATCH:

It is always, always, about the economics of the thing.
The EU is as much a hindrance to its people as the swamp is. A giant spunge sucking all private initiative out with rules and regulations in favour of the multinationals and interests of the larger member states.
Not hindered by common sense, driven by utopian objectives and certainly against the will of the common people they pretend all is hunky dory. About time for a (much needed!) wake-up call.

And if we can finally jettison the Marshall Plan, we will always protect our interests, no matter what the surrender monkeys in the EU say (as we watch them set up factories here).
General Marshall has been dead for a long time. Europe will soon be on its own. They want to destroy their civilizations? That’s their business.
No good deed, goes unpunished; pretty much sums up the EU strategy for the last 80+ years.
Bull$hit plain and simple. Germany is collapsing under their own weight of stupidity through their green deals and shutting down nuclear power and relying on Russia for their energy. President Trump told them and they famously laughed. Even with this, probably the most influential European power. What does that tell you about their fall………the continent and Germany itself.
The slow turn seems to be happening under this POS watch. I couldn’t care less. Sorry……….

You go to the EU and you’ll see Mercedes Benz G-Wagons (Luxury SUV) everywhere. You go to the US and you’ll see them plenty as well in the more affluent areas.
The only US SUV’s you’ll see in the EU have diplomatic tags. This whining about tariffs by the US’s trading partners is rank hypocrisy. The EU, Japan, Canada and China have tariff walls, moats and trebuchets. Canada, my own country, has the reigning Liberal Party’s home province of Quebec imposing 25% tariffs on goods FROM THE OTHER PROVINCES to protect it’s corrupt and inefficient industries. This is how Trump needs to answer: “Feck off mate!”
