According to leaked media reports [CBS HERE] President Trump is going to unveil a private sector launch of $500 billion to create data processing centers for a national Artificial Intelligence (AI) network. The network will be known as “Stargate.”
SoftBank Chief Executive Officer Masayoshi Son, OpenAI head Sam Altman and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison are expected to be at the White House for the announcement.
The initial launch will consist of $100 billion for the first Stargate (AI processing center) in Texas. Other projects in other states will come online in the future.

OpenAI, Softbank and Oracle are planning a joint venture called Stargate, according to multiple people familiar with the deal.
SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son is expected at the White House Tuesday afternoon, along with Sam Altman of OpenAI and Larry Ellison of Oracle.

some regulations are necessary…and to do away with or to ignore those regulations in order to spike corporate profits would be irresponsible and self-enriching….and, in this case (Doge) a potential conflict of interest.

I do not trust AI, or the programmers writing the code. As a former s/w eng./consultant (who was laid off 2 weeks after 9/11) I know that s/w does what it is programmed to do. The massive data needed for AI means NO one will be safe in their own homes, cars, anywhere. They will take every single bit and keep it in a DB to always be tracking you no matter who is in charge.

We’ve come a long way from John O’Donahue’s description of human faces as “fluid icons of meaning with a luminosity about them.” All in the wrong direction.
It leads to the down fall of humanity. Elon has always been for humanity.
And that’s why they need data centers the size of small towns! It isn’t necessarily for the computing power, but for the db storage.
I recently had a lengthy argument with ChatGPT, which is a Large Language Model (LLM) AI that OpenAI (one of these big tech guys who has glommed onto Trump) pushes on the masses. In this argument, I posited that there is virtually no global warming if one looks at the data, and not the phony climate “scientists”. It started citing that all the scientists agree, that it’s settled, climate change is real. I stated that real science looks at all the data, not a subset that supports your thesis. Real scientists attempt to prove their thesis are incorrect by using said data. This is not the case with these climate scientists. I asked it if it remembered the emails that were exposed between these scientists at NOAA and Europe. It did, and acknowledged the occurrence in the ’90s, but it complained that the email servers were hacked rather than admitting that the scientists admitting to altering data to fit their models. It also exposed how weather stations were moved from what was the standard, shaded location to urban hot zones to force the collected data in the direction they wanted. It did not like my position and essentially accused me of not looking at the data. I said “no, I’ve looked at the data, and you are an example of “garbage in, garbage out” because it was taking a position based on bias rather than the scientific data”. I was told that I might be in violation of the rules of use, and If a machine can be incensed, it was and started listing article countering my view. I ended the session as it obviously had more time on its hands than I.
I only bring up this recent, real world example to prove that AI can be fed a bias and will give answers based on that bias. This proves that even an LLM AI computer can be manipulated towards a point of view. Had it read all the scientific data, and not just the papers written by the climate alarmists, it would have at the very least been neutral. It was not.
I’ve enjoyed reading Andrew Paquette’s ‘discussions’ with Claude (another LLM AI), and having it admit to certain things that are not desirable to have it acknowledge.
Is this Stargate or SkyNet? AI has the potential to do so much good for the world and just as much potential to do so much bad as well. In responsible hands cancer can be cured and world wide peace can happen but people will be in charge, in the beginning at least, and people can’t be trusted to do what is right.

Suppose they instruct HAL to figure out how to analyse the DNA of a persons Cancer, and construct an Mrns vaccine specifically taylored to that cancer?

Or, it being a fully developed and self-aware AI, says that J6 was a gummint created false flag etc…its one thing for us to say it, and be discounted as conspiracy theorists, quite another for the all knowing Computer that knows everything to say it.
Point is, if AI is going to use the internet as its database, they need to control the internet, in order to control AI.
They want to be able to say “Its true, cause AI SAYS so!” and don’t want AI saying things that are unapproved are “so”.
Yes, which is why they’re pretending this is an “intelligence” rather than admitting to the public — “Don’t get the wrong idea; this still has to be coded by OUR side…” or whatever side is putting up the mistakenly-named “artificial intelligence.”

Nobody really knows whether AI will harm us or help us. The only reference we have is science fiction and most of that portrays AI as bad. I have read much science fiction, in particular, what is called “space opera” which blends hard science, politics, military, religion, and societal implications.
I would recommend one author in particular that integrates AI into everything. Neal Asher. He has developed a universe where Earth is ruled by AI. It is interesting in that AI took over from live political rule in what was called the Quiet War because they were actually intelligent and self aware enough not to destroy society. The AI becomes brutal with anyone, and any AI, stepping out of line, but is also magnanimous in helping society to prosper, end hunger, disease, and extend life. The AI knows fully well it needs humans because human thinking is imaginative, insightful, and not always rooted in logic. The AI recognizes this limitation and knows it is beyond them.

I wonder if the AI infrastructure will be used to help minimize the number of government employees needed. Or turned to monitor bad people scheming or planning to undermine the presidency. Not sure if I like the direction that would go. Because of how easy it is to flip it on the rest of us. But as Andreesen said, Biden’s puppeteers’ plan was to only have a very few (controllable) AI’s.
