The weather forecast for Washington, D.C., with the windchill factor, could take temperatures into severe record lows. There is an Arctic blast sweeping the Country. We are not privy to, nor should we speculate about, the security threat matrix that President Trump is now facing. Suffice to say, having survived two assassination attempts and with the overwhelming concern of the American electorate already visible online, I strongly doubt anyone is disappointed with this decision.

Historically, Presidential inaugurations were held in March, think it was the first week in March so yes, hold the ceremony inside where the deep wind chills off the Potomac River doesn’t create any chance for pneumonia for all the international guests who might not be used to just how cold the wind chills off or near rivers can actually be or anything else that might be blowing in the winds that day.

I think you’d have to find the point in time at which he would have been legally declared non compos mentis and put under guardianship. The debate performance was terrible, but was he legally incompetent then?

Once Trump is safely secured in the Oval Office I can remove the red ribbons ( now bleached white) from around the trees in my front yard. They went through two hurricanes, scorching sun, a hail storm, etc..

Yeah, all you toughies out there–you stand out there for hours in 23 temps with wind chills in single digits ripping across your face…that is not being brave. It is being stupid and unproductive. And for those who are all out of sorts-saying it is a bad move…just stop. Talking heads, the media types, etc will be able to find a warm spot…but ordinary participants will not.
If you want to go in person, I applaud you. Dress warmly. But do not belittle and deride the move to locate the swearing in inside. It is smart for the health of Trump et v the weather and for his life safety v evil actors.

I’m here in DC just for the the inauguration and parade….weather is supposed to be very cold and windy (25 for high temp and zero or less for WC). So I’m not sad it’s moved indoors….we brought lots of layers in anticipation of cold but we’re from Wisco so it’s not awful weather to us🙂….however, there’s forecast on Sunday for 1-3″ snow and a Noreaster so for this neck of the woods, that’s a major weather event😁
Have fun and make it an event you will think back on when you’re out rocking on your back porch, swatting mosquitos and thanking God for restoring our country in ’25!
