Citing concerns with “cold weather,” nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say-no- more / say-no-more, President Trump announces via Truth Social that his swearing in and inauguration speech will now be moved inside and take place in the Capitol rotunda.
Truth Social – “January 20th cannot come fast enough! Everybody, even those that initially opposed a Victory by President Donald J. Trump and the Trump Administration, just want it to happen. It is my obligation to protect the People of our Country but, before we even begin, we have to think of the Inauguration itself.
The weather forecast for Washington, D.C., with the windchill factor, could take temperatures into severe record lows. There is an Arctic blast sweeping the Country. I don’t want to see people hurt, or injured, in any way. It is dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of Law Enforcement, First Responders, Police K9s and even horses, and hundreds of thousands of supporters that will be outside for many hours on the 20th (In any event, if you decide to come, dress warmly!).
Therefore, I have ordered the Inauguration Address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, to be delivered in the United States Capitol Rotunda, as was used by Ronald Reagan in 1985, also because of very cold weather. The various Dignitaries and Guests will be brought into the Capitol. This will be a very beautiful experience for all, and especially for the large TV audience!
We will open Capital One Arena on Monday for LIVE viewing of this Historic event, and to host the Presidential Parade. I will join the crowd at Capital One, after my Swearing In.
All other events will remain the same, including the Victory Rally at Capital One Arena, on Sunday at 3 P.M. (Doors open at 1 P.M.—Please arrive early!), and all three Inaugural Balls on Monday evening.

We are not privy to, nor should we speculate about, the security threat matrix that President Trump is now facing. Suffice to say, having survived two assassination attempts and with the overwhelming concern of the American electorate already visible online, I strongly doubt anyone is disappointed with this decision.
We want President Trump safe. We know there are no limits to the severity of the opposition he is facing. There are literally trillions at stake, and the media has painted President Trump as a “threat to democracy” for multiple years, reaching a fevered pitch during the campaign season.
I don’t care if it is a simulcast event from a secure bunker somewhere, just keep the weirdos away, and keep President Donald J. Trump safe.
Whatever it takes! Just keep him safe!
WASHINGTON DC – Donald Trump and JD Vance will be sworn in to office inside the Capitol Rotunda on Monday — instead of outside the Capitol — as Washington, D.C. braces for dangerously cold temperatures, the president-elect posted on Truth Social.
The entire inauguration ceremony, including prayers and speeches, will move indoors. The last time cold weather scuttled the outdoor inauguration ceremony was in 1985 when Ronald Reagan was sworn into his second term. James Monroe’s second inauguration was also held inside the Capitol, in the House chamber, because of a snowstorm.
The National Weather Service is projecting sunny weather at the National Mall on Monday, with a high of around 23 degrees. (more)

As of mid-day today, January 18, Gateway Pundit is reporting discussions about moving the oath-taking from the Capitol to the White House itself. If that turns out to be true, I’d say it indicates there is a serious security threat to DJT, not just weather. We should all be praying for President Trump’s safety.

It’s not a weather threat… Listen to Tucker’s interview with Sean Davis and also several by Shawn Ryan. Davis all but states the Butler assassination attempt was combination of planned incompetence and the dark hand of likely alphabets – a contract. Then check out Ryan’s interviews on the subject with interviews of long time covert operatives several assassination sniper. They were clear likely a contract and if money exchanged the contract is still pending and must be executed otherwise the assassins are themselves snuffed. From all professionals coming forward on Butler, the inauguration will have an attempt following the Butler plan. They also state terrorist laptops and documents seized the Mideast crowd are aware of attacks against Trump. Things are murky and not as they seem. No one explicitly speaks of Sean Davis’ “dark hand” but clearly are aware of such. Since the core Seal Team 6 was taken out in missile attack bringing down their slow moving Chinook, the former spec ops guys don’t trust the govt agencies, many of whom transitioned from spec ops into contract roles with CIA so they don’t talk about much but it seems they have seen/become aware of things. All are convinced the Capitol presents challenges e.g. missile attack or worse drones with loaded warheads. The unsupported dome could become a mass casualty event quite easily as the building collapses on all Trump’s inner circle, nominees and Trump himself. Also Sean Davis in Tucker interview revealed CNN called Crooks’ father asking for comment about his son’s attempt to kill Trump before any public notice of Crooks’ identify, bringing to Davis’ mind the Roger Stone home invasion with swat teams and CNN lurking in the bushes recording it all. There’s also the issue of Doug Mills, a veteran photographer for The New York Times only a few feet away from former President Donald J. Trump at Butler who just happened to have captured the assassination bullet in mid air with his insanely fast camera and lens. Sure seems some press are complicit, not to mention all those Democrats and RINOs publicly stating they will not attend the inauguration – what do they all know? Pray for our President and attendees on Monday. Why don’t they simply conduct that ceremony in House or Senate chamber that has all those CSPAN cameras. It could be broadcast simultaneously and the festivities could likewise be digital keeping everyone safe.

The weather could impact first responders if they hadn’t trained for it. Most people who came out to watch could have taken care of themselves. I think horses would be ok. But that weather really sucks for a K-9. I’m glad it’s going to be inside. Even if I’d traveled to D.C. to be there I would have wound up watching it in a hotel room!
