Six months ago, I was asked my opinion of the Silicon Valley alignment with MAGA. I said at the time I thought it would last around 18 months and finally climax with a large fracture in the political movement around 2026. I had no idea at the time, the group of technocrats would begin publicly advocating for replacing American workers before Trump took office.
For the past several days I have watched Vivek Ramaswamy, David Sacks, Elon Musk and his big tech influencers debating with their followers about the importance for them to continue expanding H-1b visas for foreign tech workers. It is stunning to see this crew double, triple and quadruple down on advocacy, while defining American workers as inadequate for their Silicon Valley needs.
Alas, it is what it is. Within the argument Musk, Ramaswamy, Sacks and group have presented multiple justifications for their foreign worker assistance programs, while advocating for expanded immigration support therein.
Within the tone of their argument, they essentially say the American worker is (1) not intellectual enough; (2) doesn’t have the right work ethic; and the latest point of justification is that (3) American culture is to blame for their need to import foreign workers.
As Vivek Ramaswamy recently said, “Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer). That doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG.” Thus, as the narrative is sold, American workers need to be replaced with more culturally appropriate Indian tech workers.
When the Indian-American starts saying Indian culture is more adequate at creating workers for the American tech industry, he loses me completely.
If the Indian culture is the holy grail breeding ground for software engineers, then why isn’t New Delhi replacing Silicon Valley?
Considering that factually the Indian culture is entirely based on a caste system, the argument is even more absurd.
What we need are training and recruitment centers for American students. However, the larger issue within the billionaire tech team advocacy is an issue of self-interest.
What we see in the justifications and arguments of the Ramaswamy, Musk and Sacks group is a very specific point of immigration policy for their subset within a singular sector of the American economy. Perhaps this would not be such a big issue, if these points of advocacy were coming from outside government interest groups. However, with this tech team going into the administration, the influence becomes something a little bigger.
The part the Tech Group do not understand is the core of the American DNA, “Liberty“…
It is only from the position of liberty, intellectualism actualized in freedom form, that the working culture of America, the ingenuity part, can be understood.
If you attempt to quantify Americanism with math and algorithms, the translated outcome always fails.
Dear Vivek Ramaswamy, my counter take…
Several years ago, Florida Power and Light won the prestigious international Edward Demming Award for excellence in multi-platform engineering, efficiency superiority and total quality in the process of energy management.
However, the scruffy rednecks did not blow every PhD intellectual out of the water with slide rules, CAD programs, articulated and quantified quality improvement processes and engineering acumen. They did it with hard hats and dirty fingernails.
Because they lost the award, the jaw-agape Japanese spent 6 months visiting and reviewing FPL and later published a 1,000-page study essentially saying FPL “wasn’t really good, they were just lucky.”
You see, the reviewers couldn’t actually quantify the reason why the Florida-based energy company was so successful. In response the FPL field leadership laughed, took out magic markers and wrote on the back of their hard hats: “WE’RE NOT GOOD, WE’RE RUCKY.”
A few years later, every single Kuwaiti oil field was blown up by Saddam Hussein. Global analysts and think-tanks proclaimed it would take 5 years to cap them all off and restart the Kuwait oil pumping industry. Well, the Kuwaiti’s and Saudi’s called Texans, who had them all capped and back in working order in 6 months.
We are a nation that knows how to get shit done.
A few more years pass, and the Northern Chile mine workers were trapped two miles underground. The eyes of the world began to tear as the word spread. Most began to whisper no one could save them. Who did they call for help? A bunch of hick miners from USA coal country who went down there, worked on the fly, engineered the rescue equipment on site, and saved every one of them.
Yup, that’s our America. Ingenuity born from freedom.
Across the pond a half-breed Islamic whack job, armed with an AK-47 and a goal to meet his virgins, began opening fire on a train in France. The scruffneck Americans on board didn’t run to the nearest safe room and hide themselves amid baguettes and brie. They said, “let’s go”, and beat the stuffing out of that little nut with a death wish.
Legion d’Honneur or not, that’s us. WE ARE AMERICANS! That’s just how we roll.
In fact, Lady Liberty can stroll along the Champs-Elysées with a swagger befitting Mae West because without her arrival, they’d be speaking German in the Louvre. Yet, for the better part of the past decade, a group of intellectual leftists have been teaching our children that it’s better to be sitting around a campfire eating sustainable algae cakes and picking parasites off each other; because ‘save the planet’, or something similarly minded. It would appear, they hate the outcomes and inequities from freedom.
Warmest regards,
Americans First!
My BEST advice to @elonmusk @VivekGRamaswamy @DavidSacks and the Silicon Valley tech elites, is to keep talking. Just keep telling Americans how terrible they are and how they need to be replaced. Great Job.

India: It’s Worse Than You Think – https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/india-its-worse-you-think
by Tyler Durden Tuesday, Dec 24, 2024 – 08:40 AM
Authored by Jayant Bhandari via American Renaissance,
Most Westerners know nothing about India beyond vague ideas about Hinduism, yoga, gurus, and maybe a dash of Bollywood. To such people, this article will be a rude awakening…
The same author also wrote an earlier, similar piece https://www.lewrockwell.com/2023/12/jayant-bhandari/the-structure-or-lack-thereof-of-india/
Both of these jive with what I personally saw while working with many employees from India in the tech world. The very best workers from India wanted to leave the place and its culture behind. The mediocre and poor contributors were exactly as Bhandari describes.
I know. I read about the horrible things that happen, especially towards women. But you know, as soon as those men touch American soil they’ll suddenly become gentlemen.
after decades of churning out woke, racist, ignorant fools, Vivek is right. Average U.S. IQ is not up to par, not to mention the anti business, self righteous attitude of most. Our future lies in legal immigrants and charter schools, no more gov.ed. Maybe a generation or two after that, we’ll have a competitive work force.
Right on! Liberals put us in this position by undermining the educational system until our graduates expect as easy a time in their business careers as they had in college where they were protected from their own ignorance that came from being taught by incompetent teachers. When we straighten out the schools and the psyches of our most recent graduates, then we can compete with foreign students who haven’t been wrecked by their own educational systems.
The native ability of our population is still there. But it’s going to take a long time to bring back competent instructors teaching real science and real strategy. Even though some of the foreign students are good, some, obviously, aren’t. We need hard filters that bring in the gifted and well educated, while not just sweeping in the well to do, but not smart, mass of foreign workers.
More Great Replacement nonsense, profits for your tribe and death for mine. “Average U.S. IQ” has NOTHING to do with the wretched state of our educational system. Education does not make anymore more or less intelligent. Everyone is born with a maximum pattern capability. Education may allow you to develop what you have, or retard development of what you have if you are unlucky enough to go to woke schools, but it never increases it.
Importing lower than American-average-IQ foreigners for generations is what has lowered the average ‘American’ IQ. More of the same is just going to accelerate the decline. The solution is to undertake reform of the education system that OUR children endure at the hands of your left-corporate fellow travelers, not to bring in their replacements.
Good luck with your next war. There is ZERO loyalty left. If you (plural) vanish under a hailstorm of Oreshniks, I may die too, but I will die laughing.
… for those with a scientific bent read “blueprint” by Robert Plomin
a follow-on comment:
“Do you want America to WIN or do you want America to LOSE? If you force the world’s best talent to play for the other side …”
Notice the manipulative choice of language. It reminds me of one of Mrs. deSantos’ establishment Republican outfits during the primary with the cleavage lines barely above the nipple for maximum skin, and the honking oversized Christian cross dangling from her neck filling up the area.
“You are a loser if you don’t want to WIN, right? So, you are a LOSER if you disagree with me.” What exactly do WE ‘win’? What is the metric or standard of measurement here? Who exactly is this “other side” that we have to beat, how do we have to beat them, and why? What’s in it it for us?
We win by removing parasites and predators from our communities, both individual and corporate, and instilling traditional American values into the descendants of those who created those values creating once again affordable family formation in OUR civilization for the descendants of those who created it. I wish Musk and Ramaswamy and their peoples the best in their lands, but what they are trying to sell means we lose by getting replaced, so no thanks.
We have no interest in ruling over foreigners in their lands.
NO MORE EMPIRE!
We have no interest in ruling over foreigners in our lands.
NO MORE “INVADE THE WORLD, INVITE THE WORLD.”
We absolutely have no interest in being ruled over by foreigners in our lands.
IT IS OUR PEOPLE THAT NEED TO BE PRESERVED, NOT THE GLOBALIST EMPIRE WHICH DESTROYED OUR REPUBLIC.
.
Stop looking at “averages” given what we’ve imported into this country in the past 4-5 decades!
The “average” American citizen has one testicle.
.
And it could be a “woman.”
Well, that makes me better than average!
Wait til I tell my wife.
School choice is a liberty issue. That is why the left hates it so much.
And when they don’t assimilate? Have no loyalty to the US? Support socialism? Bring terror? Discriminate against white and black Americans?
Fool. Charter Schools was an idea cooked up, behind closed doors with NO input from the base, when we had the last truly public policy debate in this country, 30 years ago, on “School Vouchers” and….WE WON!
But, rather than take our victory, the RINOS betrayed us activists in the base, with a behind closed doors ‘snatching defeat from the jaws of victory’ negotiation of ‘Charter Schools’ which we had NEVER advocated for.
PDJT has PROMISED Nationwide School Choice, where the education &’s go with the student, whether to Public, Private, Parochial, or Home school, which is exactly the school vouchers program, with a new name.
It was then I realised the RINO Rockerfeller Republicants will ALWAYS
protect the flanks of the Democrats.
If we had instituted School Vouchers 30 years ago, it would have destroyed the Public teachers union, and thru competition forced our public Schools to move in the opposite direction to what they have, and we would be in a very different world, now.
Obviously, mentioning Charter Schools triggers me, cause I WAS THERE, fighting the good fight, and being betrayed by the RINOS.
You lost me, once you said Charter schools.
“………and thru competition forced our public Schools to move in the opposite direction to what they have,….”
And there is where we find the root of the problem. Competition. Public school administrators are allergic to that word. It is the antithesis of everything the know, and stand for. The pain of experiencing competition is two fold. First, the students must adapt to a world where not everyone gets a trophy, and certainly not for simply participating. Little Jimmy and little Sally are going to have to work to get a passing grade. Don’t do the work, repeat the school year. Second, the teachers themselves will, for the first time in too long, will be held accountable for their actions. Don’t do the work, don’t get the raise, or possibly face termination. And no, Mr. Smartpants teacher, there is not going to be “tenure” in the public system for you to hide behind. And on that subject of competition, Mr School Administrator, kids always have the private school or home school option. Enrollment goes down, your budget, ie: salary, goes down too. The strongest survive, and prosper.
Actually he lost me with his self portrait, Dutch. Actually we need to bring back the one room school house. They graduated at 7th grade. Do a search on the test they had to take to graduate, most educated people ,including myself could not pass it.
My nephew is going to engineering school on some very hard fought scholarships as we speak. Fewer Heritage Americans are being accepted to these schools.
The entire education system needs a gut job.
Scott Adams’ twitter today is extremely interesting (in my opinion) on this very subject.
Talented Americas are being passed over for DEI idiocy which pulls us all down.
NO we do not need to by hiring overseas. We need to unleash Americans!
My nephew is Venezuelan and was forced to leave his country where classes started and stopped on a weekly basis. He spent a year in English classes. He got his degree in chemical engineering and worked in a hotel cleaning rooms before anyone hired him in engineering. A year later he joined one of the most prestigious engineering companies in the world as a process engineer and got two promotions in less than two years. Much starts at home to focus one on studies and duties to perform. He had the Damocles sword over his head being here on Temporary Protected Status until he met his Venezuela-American wife. Both are professionals in industry and great contributors to USA.
If you really are an “exceptional” individual in-field you have no need for H-1b at all irrespective of your nationality; the claim that this program actually provides “exceptional” talent is a bald-faced lie that we must not tolerate in any venue. If you are truly exceptional in your field you can apply for and get an O-1 visa which allows you to work for three years in the United States, it can be extended for additional one year terms indefinitely, it has no tie to a specific employer so you can follow job opportunity or set up your own firm unlike the H-1b that does not and thus forces the holder to stay with the sponsoring company or depart the US, it can form the foundation (assuming you aren’t misrepresenting anything and really are exceptional and prove it once you get here) for permanent residency and of course that, over time, can lead to citizenship.
https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=252559
You’ve nailed it. As Rush often said, “words mean things”.
Their argument is about highly productive cheap labor in order to maximize company profits while taking advantage of a window of opportunity: the next Industrial Revolution required to MAGA.
It reminds me of the stories I read in 7th grade History class of workers who were only paid in coupons that could only be redeemed at the company store for necessities for survival. Their families become slaves to the Company.
hmmm great contributors to USA…are they having children? If not, their contributions are not that great. We need Americans to excel, not imported . IMHO. Trump spouts “hire” American right along with “make in America etc. I sort of like that. 🙂
My nephew studied his tail off and worked the entire time he was in highschool as well.
He didn’t really engage in the ridiculous pageantry that fills the bulk of most of our students lives these days. He now works nearly full time at Dominos Pizza while taking a full course load.
I will have to differ with you on your
“ridiculous pageantry,” remark. That CAN be excessive, but it is also called, socialization! The lack of socialization has led some to commit atrocities. Many times, they are introverted STEM types.
Balance in all things!
My nephew rented and guided kayak tours on local rivers.
He met plenty of chicks, I assure you. He avoided the lifelong injuries of sportsball, and didn’t get wrapped up in the he said/ she said dramatic nonsense of those addicted to Socialist Media.
He wanted to get the work done now and use his brain and not end up like me who did well working for myself, but wrangled no guaranteed retirement over the years once the chronic injuries took hold.
I always thought there would be time to parlay the money I had made into something else, or get back into school myself.
“Temporary Protected Status”, means he either entered illegally or overstayed his visa. If he entered legally, and withheld material facts (lied) concerning his intent to remain beyond his admission or worked while in a visitor status he broke the law.
Temporary Protected Status is amnesty for illegal aliens by another name. It is an undeclared war against law and the American People.
“My nephew is Venezuelan” , I guess that means you married a Venezuelan and now she is bringing all her relatives.
“forced to leave “. I doubt it. He wanted to leave, due to inconvenience. How did he pay for a degree? Was his presence in the US in anyway subsidized by public assistance or educational benefits? Someone making a decision to leave their native country and family in no way obligates me to fund the decision or welcome them.
TPS is another scam to obtain cheap labor from abroad. It is an 18 month, short-term invitation due to conflict or some kind of natural disaster which allows foreign citizens to basically replace an American in a job and in the country. Unfortunately, it’s resulted in Haitians and others remaining in the U.S. for decades. It is not “temporary”. It’s a back door path to citizenship without any vetting.
Your nephew may be a wonderful, smart guy, but if so, why aren’t he and his Venezuelan buddies (along with Cubans) trying to find a way to take back their countries? Why are Haitians granted TPS taking up residence (and lots of welfare along with that residence) flying back to Haiti to visit friends and family the first chance they get? It’s all a scam if you ask me, and we are the dupes who have been brainwashed to believe we owe these people anything. FCOL, most refuse to speak English. I’m over them.
it’s too hard for them to change the (broken),”culture” in their country, thereby making it Great, but rather much easier to come to the established USA & have an easier time at being successful all the while keeping dual citizenship & having zero loyalty to the USA.
Ironically, the “culture” that Elon, Vivek , etc. say makes them great, is the one their so willing to escape.
As a Mechanical Engineer back in the early 90s, I worked on a Venezuelan chemical plant project with engineers from PDVSA.
School Choice, aka Vouchers is exactly that; a Gut job for K-12 education, and a good start.
Then a reform of Colleges, to eliminate the current student loan program, which encourages Colleged to administrative bloat, and ‘accepting’ students who cAn’t possibly benefit, etc.
And GOOD trade schools!
Yep.
The k-12 voucher issue: once the money is paid in taxes, it’s government money.
As one private school dean cautioned in a conversation years ago, “He who pays the piper calls the tune.”
So for a program of study to be eligible to receive a voucher, what would government deem necessary? Or what would make a program ineligible?
This is why most homeschoolers who have been around for a while do NOT want vouchers, but many would like tax credits for educating their own children with no burden to the government. (Others don’t even want tax credits because they don’t even trust the government that far!)
Private accreditation boards should make the decision, as does ABET for engineering and related programs.
BRAVO. No H1Bs .
Heck its not even 2025 and they are back sliding on make America Great Again. With Vivek, I am not surprised. He is a smooth talking opportunist.
He’s not as smooth as he thinks he is, because he hasn’t yet learned that when you are in a hole you should stop digging.
And to think he could have been POTUS!
Vivek was manufactured. He drew smaller crowds than Biden. His biggest crowds were at assisted living.
Not only manufactured, but seemed to be campaigning for Trump throughout the entire primary process. Something that didn’t add up may now be making more sense.
Vivek was planning to be the young Trump that was not in Jail. He assessed that DeSantis was doomed.
Hahaha!!! Praise God!!! Fight! Fight! Fight!
This isn’t the first time Vivek has championed H-1B visa holders over Americans.
Those billionaires should invest in AMERICAN schools, kick out the teacher unions and educate our children in good old fashioned AMERICAN know-how.
That’s how we make America’s future bright and strong.
Yep. My neighbor suggested mandatory 3 years Service in one of the Military Branches right out of high school.
We can’t “educate 80 % of the people for 20% of the jobs” as Mike Rowe said.
The trades that build the hangar are just as important as the scientists who design the rockets built inside them..
.
Yeah, no. We already have too much crap in the military. It’s not for post-high school training.
.
I prefer not to force labor on anyone. And certainly not to build up the war machine used to make oligarchs rich and topple governments worldwide so our so-called elites can divvy up the resources.
See all wars from the 1950s until now.
The kids today have their heads in The Cloud.
60’s kids were motivated a lot by Sputnik/NASA…and Nam.
Vietnam was no joke. I spent 30 months in the Army. Honorably discharged one month before my 21st Cumpleaños. Lost many good soldier friends. I had God on my side! Gracias Dios.
That was a national highschool debate topic, in either 67-68 or 68-69 academic years. Compulsory national service (draft for Nam, if you are too young to remember that).
My lottery number was 94 my senior year.
I was born in the late 70s..
Getting rid of teachers unions would solve a lot of problems. “Unions”, with few exceptions, outlived their usefulness about 40 years ago. Current teachers unions protect woke leftist trash who shouldn’t be anywhere around kids.
Those billionaires should invest in charter schools or private schools and forget about the public schools. They are beyond repair. I retired from one and I wouldn’t send my kids to one now. The decline I saw over 35 year was heart-breaking.
INNOVASION……Americas greatest achievements. This was a result of liberty/freedom. Liberty must be restored and with AI this will not be happening. Indians suffer from the same constraints as the Chinese and find it very difficult to have independent thought……they are not innovators and will never achieve what free Americans can. Let us restore Liberty and Truth. These two things are what are lacking in our culture and we did not ask for it to be taken away, it was imposed.
Gulfaddict, I think you may have come up with a new and perfect word for what is taking place.
Innovation is one of America’s greatest strengths and achievements.
But what we are getting now, or what Vivek wants, is INNOVASION — a deliberate invasion of America via what he thinks is innovation.
AMEN!!
Right on Grey EAgle!!!!! Children! Produce them and educate them to LOVE their country and its historical founders. We need more of that.
As well as home school them!!!
How about make the hiring company pay a 10-20% H-1B worker’s salary each year to US public school system?
Many talented American yutes realize the futility of investing in a education where the resulting career field can be outsourced on a whim.
I myself have navigated my career in such a manner as to avoid potential outsourcing, generally working in fields that require American citizenship.
However, for many, it would be stupid to pay thousands for an education, only to be undercut as you reach the finish line.
I have dealt with imported Indian Engineers in the 90s. Language barrier eliminates ANY cost savings. That is why they are doing it to begin with. Cheap Labor Express. Big business doesn’t want to pay prevailing fair wage under competition.
I understand America! But I too have seen an influx of Indians and it ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. I’m 67 and retiring today, and I pray every day that employers stop this nonsense of DEI madness. It has ruined many a great companies. COVID came through, and not to toot my own horn, or be prideful of any of this, but I ran rings around this younger generation of DEI hires. Sad the companies have fallen so far……….we CAN and will MAGA! But it’s going to take all the prayers in the universe continually, so achieve this feat. But fear not, all things are possible through God. Thanks treepers !!!!!
Congratulations on your well earned retirement!
Agreed. As a Mechanical Engineer I saw the loss of productivity brought about by language & culture barriers. Many design projects had to be scrapped & redone. Recently, my employer outsourced a major software project to India & the delays and loss of functionality to our customers cost our President out the door. After 2 years, we still haven’t fully recovered.
They were hired and the should be fired. Nothing else will do.
Time to go.
Elon Musk becoming a siamese twin of Trump is creeping me out–Trump should not allow him into his spaces as freely. I don’t trust him, especially because of his occultic parents.
Occultism parents?
Keep talking silly boys, the best and the brightest President whose coat tails you’ve been riding is about to kick your foreign asses mantra to the curb.
I hope so! It isn’t even January yet, but they’ve wasted no time messing up with bold talk already. A little humility wouldn’t hurt them!
Vivek thinks we Americans are terrible parents.
There are plenty of examples to support his theory, unfortunately.
Make Normality Great Again.
Elon’s father was no great shakes as a parent.
Never said he was. Elon is slick, but he is no Oracle. He is warming up as a human.
If our kids are unworthy because we are bad parents, how did Elon get where he is?
Neither is Elon. Who names their son “X”?
So are Indians.
“Stealing low income jobs from Americans is BAD! …we need to steal middle class jobs.”
Basically.
It’s been wild to watch the discussion today. Glad to see the argument to end H1B visas is starting to get traction.
There’s a simple lie by omission in the idea that we need to import the so-called “best and brightest 1%”. We already do that, it’s called an o-1A Visa. There’s no need in modern America for H1B visas. We have tens of thousands of young men who have been closed out of the system because of DEI. They can’t compete because they aren’t allowed to compete. Much like the argument about birthrates, in fact.
The idea that you crush the middle class with lowering wages and increasing costs, to the point they can’t afford to have kids, and then say that because they’re not having kids, you need to import foreigners. Self-fulfilling prophecy. Prevent people from doing the jobs by byzantine hiring practices, then say that they have to import workers because Americans won’t do the job.
Close the borders. Close down the visa program. Give us time to clean house, assimilate those who are willing, deport those who are not.
Most of India hasn’t figured out indoor toilets and basic food sanitation. I argue that if the people in question are so intelligent and valuable… keep them in India and have them fix their own country. If they’re as skilled as you say, it shouldn’t be a problem to get their people up to a modern standard? Why drain the best brains away from a country that needs them?
Elon wants higher birth rates, but also wants to deny Americans the jobs that are capable of financially supporting a family. You can’t have it both ways, Elon. The younger generation needs the means and a good reason to raise a family here. “Have children in a country that will openly hate and discriminate against them” is not conducive to increasing the birth rate.
excuses are hollow. The younger generation has no clue what the ‘means’ to raise a family is. If you mean day care, 12 hr a day, houses with ‘smart’ capabilities, and expensive vacations and parents whose ‘jobs’ come first. I have little sympathy for the younger generations, except that ‘we’ really dropped the ball in the 6O’s. So it is not exactly their fault.
Sadly, both parents are forced to work in order to survive in Bidenomics. Your generation didn’t have to deal with a devalued dollar, immigrants being given preference for jobs, or having to compete with multi-national corporations for housing. None of this is the younger generation’s fault.
Thank you!
Well stated, as always, Sundance. 👍👍
We have plenty of already trained Americans who took all the right classes, as they were told that Americans didn’t have the educational background, who are now under or un-employed in their fields.
Do they think we don’t know ?
We also have a nasty habit of shutting out older workers with good work ethics, and lots of useful work experience.
That’s a fact. Many older workers who lost their jobs in the downsizing after the government engineered crash, never worked in their fields again, due to the acute age bias in ‘tech’.
I’m only just now realizing how much of that was due not only to age but to their being white men and women.
Oilfield workers are one thing. Today’s kids that gravitate towards social media and the tech field are something completely different. Spoiled brats with very little work ethic. I’m in my 60s and I work with 20 and 30 year olds who think they’re marketing geniuses because they post crap on social media. They prefer to work from home and if they put in eight hours at a desk they’re EXHAUSTED and think that they’ve done a hard day’s work. And they think they’re worth $100,000-200,000/year. 😆
They need to go tent camping, in a regular campground, but with the usual campground outhouses, and using a camp stove to heat wash-water and cook their food. I know it’s not truly roughing it, but the goal here is to learn self-reliance, and a work ethic, which they can learn just car-camping. They can gather firewood, get water from the hand-pump (if the camp has running water like some do), boil their water, learn how to set up a camp kitchen, pitch a tent, build a fire, gather firewood, cook food (no microwave), and keep warm by the fire (Oregon campgrounds – unsure what other states have).
EXCELLENT IDEA!!
They will be doing a lot of that once all the foreigners take all of their jobs, if Vivek gets his way, it’s called being homeless.
Oh man, I could have written what you wrote after having lived it.
One of my co-workers retired. Company promoted a 20 year old to her job. First day on the job working with him he told me he hadn’t done any work in months; he knew his woman boss liked his attention, so he spent all day in her office talking to her.
My heart sunk.
I knew I’d just been delivered a worthless slug and I’d have to do double the work.
F Swampy.
Don’t like VR and don’t like EM. Never did. God is in control of this. They were selected by Him.
They have my support while they support my interests. Nothing more, nothing less.
Right you are Baby! Donald Trump is a pragmatist. He chooses people to get a job done. He does not believe those people are the be all and end all and will last forever! Praise God!!! Fight! Fight! Fight!
And this is why I do not like Vivek Ramaswamy… he thinks he is BETTER than everyone else. He IS NOT!
I am beyond disgusted, tbqh.
President Trump needs to hook up with Mike Rowe.
I could say a lot more about what I think but I would probably get banned.
I was thinking, Fire Vivek Ramaswamy, hire Mike Rowe; before I scrolled down to this!
Make America Great Again! (NOT India.)
Yeah, Mike Rowe would be PERFECT!!!
As my husband once so eloquently, but crudely, expressed about a younger family member,
“He thinks he’s hot $#/+, but he’s really just a little f@×t”
I am angry as well.
Don’t lose control. Our fellowship here is far more valuable than the alternative. Silence
I’ve read a few stories that indicate – once Indians reach sufficient permeation, they typically over-hire Indians.
Worse yet, evidence suggests that the cast system – present in the home land – is carried into their workplace in America.
Sucks to be a Dalit working among Indians.
What is a Dalit?
“Dalit is a term used for untouchables and outcasts, who represented the lowest stratum of the castes in the Indian subcontinent. They are also called Harijans. Dalits were excluded from the fourfold varna of the caste hierarchy and were seen as forming a fifth varna, also known by the name of Panchama. “
(from Wikipedia’s entry for the term “Dalit”)
Short answer is that Dalits are the ones that empty the shit cisterns of the wealthy.
I have seen with my own eyes, lower caste Indians forced to wait to refuel their cars while the higher caste fill theirs, and even beaten on the head with the pump handle for daring to park too close, and that is in America!
“Even my privileged upbringing in India had ingrained into me layers upon layers of confused worldviews, and dishonest, scheming behavior. Despite my best intentions, shaking them off and rewiring my thinking took decades.”

Yep and they don’t hide it.
Baby El: That’s what happened at Intel.
And Intel is a shambles right now, looking down the barrel of being acquired for a knock down sum as it’s recent performance has crippled it’s share price.
There’s an opportunity to teach the H-1B visa holders more about the importance of liberty uber alles.
Huh?
Americans have been systemically discriminated against by HR departments and college application boards for at least 20 years. Our skilled jobs were given away to either H1Bs or off-shored entirely, which left fewer opportunities for Americans to build a resume. Now we are being blamed for our own systemic discrimination, and told that we are just too stupid and unqualified to run our own country.
It’s infuriating. This is kind of gaslighting that I expect from Democrats and the Left, not people claiming to be MAGA. I am just so angry and heartbroken that we always be treated like second class citizens in our own country.
Furthermore, companies, such as Honda hire foreign workers from say, Burma, to assemble autos in say, southern Indiana, to bypass paying US workers’ wages and and US workers payroll taxes (FICA, Fed and State). So, Americans are screwed from the inside and the outside.
Mr. Trump, please take note.
More like the past 50 years.
Yup!
All because some idiot somewhere declared that America was going to be a “service economy’. I remember the first time I heard that many years ago. I thought, “Oh yeah? According to who?”
And who gave anyone the right to say we now had to be service workers? Nothing against that segment of employees, just what made anyone think they could limit Americans’ job choices?
I was in HS when I first heard that idea. Even then I thought it was idiotic!!!
Guess I was right! Too bad it’s taken them so long to figure it out. Sarc AND SPIT!!!
MIGA!
Make India (job market) Great Again!
In India!
I worked IT back in the day, and had the dubious privilege of working at two different Fortune 500 companies who were busy laying off US workers and bringing in H1B workers. They kept telling Congress that there weren’t enough US workers to get the job done while, at the same time, doing all those layoffs. It would take a special form of lunacy to translate that into MAGA.
Ditto! It is pure greed on the part of these companies who kicked out US workers for foreigners… after they trained their replacements of course!
.
Not only that, but our top universities are stuffing their admissions with less-qualified women and “POC” applicants as well as full-pay foreigners in these fields while American boys can’t get in, and those relatively few that do are having to compete against DEI hiring policies for internships and then permanent jobs.
.
I remember that! SPIT!!!
“ They kept telling Congress that there weren’t enough US workers to get the job done ….”
That is only true when followed by….. willing to work for $20,000/year
Spent much time in Silicon Valley and witnessed 2 bed apartments with 10 H1B workers sharing the unit as their pay would not afford them to live there.
US is corporate-acracy that owns DC. Just drive the 495 loop around the capital and you will see every large corporation there to assure their interests. Unwinding this is an enormous task.
Sundance’s concern here is a valid warning of potential disappointment. I share his concern. If managed incorrectly this will be over before it begins
Live just outside the Beltway and can verify that, unfortunately.
flashback
“Indian engineers’ employability has remained under a cloud for years now.”
India’s engineers are better than China’s – but so much worse than America’s
https://qz.com/india/1577879/how-indian-engineers-fare-against-those-from-china-and-the-us
Sundance, I’m with you 100%. I was going to say something similar yesterday but couldn’t find the words.
“Yet, for the better part of the past decade, a group of intellectual leftists have been teaching our children that it’s better to be sitting around a campfire eating sustainable algae cakes and picking parasites off each other; because ‘save the planet’, or something”
Not possible, the carbon footprint of a campfire would be way too much for these climate change nut jobs to tolerate.
What if it’s a Bluetooth enabled sustainable spherical campfire?
In a vacuum.
A bunch of groups of Americans will get lost in this attempt at bringing the country back on line, so to speak. It has happened over and over in this country, even in the last three decades. I got tossed out with the political bath water after Obama showed up. The professional world didn’t want me, so I left the time card, billing hours world behind. Necessity is the mother of invention. Everybody is going to have to get creative, and get their own education on their own. You can learn near anything online, today. If you have the drive, and the intelligence, you can still make it in the USA. I don’t like what the H1B visas are doing to us, either, but it is reality, evidently. We shall see what we see. If Trump gets enough grief over this, then maybe he’ll say or do something about it? He’s making female quotas, why not American quotas?
Sundance, idk about Musk, but you walked right thru Vivek’s point. He says, “Thus the narrative is sold…”
he’s not agreeing with the sentiment. He’s stating he doesn’t buy the sentiment.
I am torn on this whole topic. We are at a serious debt crossroads. We aren’t replacing our own population with our birth rate. Therefore we can’t beat our debt by increasing productivity thru births. Our economy will collapse if we don’t grow the economy by either importing some skilled foreigners whom are able to empower our companies to expand. Or…, someone like Musk must create an entirely new sector of economy larger than all other sectors combined. Like, say, mining asteroids. There aren’t any other ways to avoid economic collapse. At least not in a traditional sense without population and/or economic growth.
There is more than enough brainpower/manpower in the USA… it just needs to be cultivated and EMPLOYED!
We aren’t replacing our own population with our birth rate.
Hmmm. I wonder why that would be????????????
All thanks to the Left and PP. SPIT!
Really sad how far off the mark they (Musk, Vivek, etc) are with the H-1B arguments. There’s tone-deaf, and then there’s just deaf.
They are greedy.
My son – national merit and had Calc 3 & Diff Equations under his belt upon HS graduation – is having a bitch of a time finding something.
One of the biggest detriments to American workers is Human Resources. 🤔
I always preferred, “Personnel”. Sounds more human. HR sounds like a thing, a cog!
A slow motion slam dunk. There is just no counter – to your counter, SD.
Funny that their solution is to bring in more Indians, Pakistanis, or whomever. America First says TRAIN AMERICANS to do the work.
Screw these people.
Vivek, you’re fired.
.
Let’s stop bringing in so many foreign students.
.
MAGA begins with belief in the American Worker. We have imported our tech workers for 50 years now and it is high time we began to look at the “home grown” variety we’ve been encouraging since the late ’70s.
You see, no one had to lift a finger or waste their breath projecting what will be.
The 3 Amigos just spilled their own tea all over themselves and their coats of many colors.
See how God is working daily for truth?
Hello President Trump!
The exposé is here for all to see!
MAGA Sundance!!
Sunlight is the best disinfectant…
So all those memes calling both of them wef stooges were right? Not shocked
The real problem is with the hiring practices for US companies. They gave up long ago on hiring the best and brightest, and instead are being forced by liberal nutjobs at the top levels of management, activist investors and government regulations to hire based on DEI.
So, we get what we deserve which is a mediocre, lazy, victimhood obsessed workforce.
The tech companies love the H1Bs because they check the diversity checkbox, and are usually young, single individuals without family commitments so they tend to more readily accept working extra hours (for no extra pay, of course).
My husband was once offered a job at a yuge rubber company. Everyone there knew he was the right man, with absolutely the right skills, for the job.
Then he got a call asking if he had any “black” history. Native American history? Even a little bit?
The people who wanted to hire him learned they could not hire any more white people, he had to be a person of color.
He could have lied. He didn’t. He didn’t get the job, either.
Let them
eatmake cake!Let the American tech workers replaced by (lower cost) foreigners get new (minimum wage) jobs making cake.
This is important, but not super important to me.
Make America Great Again with workers from India ?
I don’t think so ! To heck with these dang losers.
Trump needs to put them in their place or we will !
As the great great granddaughter of Irish immigrants, who escaped a famine and came to this country to work HARD, play hard, and FIGHT in EVERY single conflict, from the War for Independence forward to today, and as the daughter-in-law of LEGAL immigrants, who escaped a war torn Europe after WWII to start over again in a new land, I can can say unequivocally, that there is an OCEAN of difference between those who have come here to assimilate and contribute versus those who have come here in order to isolate and TAKE from these supposedly “United” States of America!
I live in a very “tech dominant” area and probably 50%, or more, of the houses in my area are now occupied by immigrants who have come here, I would assume, on some type of Visa and they are, sadly, for the most part, NOT friendly, not neighborly, very often dismissive, if not flat out RUDE to anyone who is not of their race. This balkanization of our nation has been coming for decades, and it seems that the current crop of “tech bros” are hoping to escalate it, by continuing to import people who can contribute to their company’s bottom line but have no interest in assimilating to our country!
(Lest I be accused of being a “racist” I grew up in a multicultural area – many of my closest friends were different nationalities and different religions. My parents opened our home to everyone and I have done the same but this is NOT the same world and I do NOT like the direction that this is going!)
The people you grew up with did not come here with their hand out, nor did they think anyone already here owed them anything.
EXACTLY!! They honored their family heritage, yes, but they came here to be AMERICANS and were damn proud of their accomplishments and their work ethic!
And even if they did want a hand-out, they weren’t going to get one. America was a land of grow, move, or die. It wasn’t a nice place to immigrate to. So where you were coming from really had to be terrible. But it was a place where you could be LEFT ALONE to make it however you could. Government intervention ruins everything.
vikingmom; you are absolutely correct.
I have experienced the same.
Thanks for your well thought-out post.
I’ve been hollering about “assimilation” for DECADES now and it seems most just look the other way.
Hi Mom! My family is the same as yours! The incredible things the Americans accomplished by the Grace of God!! We are just going to have to bight the bullet and kids are going to have to mow lawns again! Praise God!!! Fight! Fight! Fight!
American exceptionalism is a term out of fashion!
Indians do seem quite over-represented in the presidential race with Harris for the Dems and then Vance’s wife and Vivek on the right. They do own a large number of property (hotels) that would put them in Trump’s field, but it seems more than that with Cash’s huge appointment and Indian spokes people for major depts such as the State Dept – Vedant Patel – and the Defense Dept press secretary Sabrina Singh (grandfather Pakistani – her grandfather Jagit Singh was the head of the India League of America and her husband is a former political director for Nancy Pelosi). And Silicon Valley over-representation Sundar Pichai, et al (https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/nri/work/sundar-pichai-satya-nadella-ajay-banga-arvind-krishna-and-20-other-indian-origin-ceos-of-billion-dollar-companies/laxman-narasimhan/slideshow/105593519.cms). Now does this pass the shoe on the other foot test? Where all major Indian tech companies have US CEOs? Some of the most vocal DEI promoters are Indian, but only in the context of the US, not their homeland or one generation from the homeland. Heritage AMericans deserve opportunities to lead the companies started on US soil and the country. Just because one is born here as first or one generation does not mean that you or your family has enough experience to truly know the culture of the country, its history, and to have generations that have given blood, sweat, tears, and treasure to it.
VivekGPT needs to be fired yesterday.
And Elon needs to be put on a very short leash.
I think it is unfair and demeaning to have someone with such obvious bias against Americans, put in a position of power over America’s federal government workers.
He is not competent to assess whether positions or agencies are necessary due to his preconceived negative beliefs.
This will end up reflecting negatively on President Trump, who promised to protect the American worker.
I really hope the people in the right places read what you write. It is really so simple in a strange way!
This is how it ends.
What part of this do you disagree with? I see it every day. American workers are terribly lazy, and have no discernible skills. Moreover, they couldn’t articulate a single simple thought in an email or in a person to person dialog. It is truely pathetic…
Now of course I am generalizing but the yuck far out numbers the good. And H-1 is t just for India. Polish, Irish, Denmark’s Russian and Asian make some really good workers.
How do you think this happened? It was no accident. People won’t work for free, foreign labor is being subsidized. Foreign students are being subsidized and given preference.
The undermotivated US workers I see are employed by some Globo Corp chain big box. Remember when businesses used to be owned locally? How did wally world and clown burger take over? It was no accident.
We have the most expensive education system in the world, yet no ones educated. Not and accident, this has been done to the nation for a reason.
You’re obviously hanging out with the wrong people.
move to India
Americans are too lazy to
pick lettuceprogram even at 50 dollars an hour.J
ohnElon and Vivek McCainJohn McCain’s two previously unknown sons from different mothers.
still waiting for JDVance to chime in…crickets
AND if he knows what’s good for him, (in the eyes of his BOSS), he’ll keep it buttoned up!
They’re not wrong…
The American population has been dumbed down via piss poor education since the arrival of the Clintons and NAFTA destroyed American manufacturing.. It’s been 30+ years
It will take 30 years or more to bring it back. It begets the question: What do we do in the mean time? Now obviously it’s not all of our young people, but the slugs outnumber the doers by several multiples, if not an order of magnitude.
There is no easy way out…you can’t manufacture enough brilliant engineers overnight.
It’s not brilliant that’s needed.
It’s moral, intelligent, God-fearing (not gods), innovative, hard-working people who are not afraid to get their hands dirty!
Eric: Brilliant engineers are born, not made.
