First things first, Tucker Carlson deserves enormous credit for gaining reentry into Russia during a time when Russia has essentially locked down their entry visa process. This was not a simple task, and Tucker’s motives for doing so are accepted without immediate reservation. As the only other American I know who has navigated this dynamic, congratulations Tucker.
There have been no diplomatic channels used by the U.S. government toward Russia for over two years. Literally, all talks between government officials and emissaries have been severed for the past two years. As I have said before, this is a very dangerous dynamic.
That said, this conversation does not take place without the intent of Russia, specifically President Vladimir Putin and his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov from wanting this conversation to take place. Without any doubt this is a public message, a direct and intentional communication, intended to reach a U.S. audience much deeper than the average American viewer. Perhaps an audience of one. Again, great job. WATCH:

One of the things that separates Russians from their eastern European counterparts, is their keen ability to detect and dismiss bullshit. If you watch Russian engagement, from either inside or outside of Russia, their non pretending is truly an artform. Even the silent space between their words is something remarkable to watch.
Vladimir Putin has a weapon the “west” cannot defend against. It’s not part of his physical military armament, it’s far more powerful. Putin has the truth as a weapon.
The western group must pretend they didn’t carry out a color revolution in Ukraine. The western group must also pretend they didn’t install Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The western group must also pretend there was not a civil war happening inside Ukraine for a decade, and the western group must pretend they didn’t try to provoke Vladimir Putin with expansions of NATO and an intentional breaking of the Minsk accords. There are other pretenses that must be maintained, but those are the top ones.
Into this grand game of pretenses comes President Donald Trump, not exactly the best pretender (by choice) and Vladimir Putin not only knows this, but he also respects this Trump attribute of honesty in problem solving.
Keep in mind, President Putin watched how President Trump dealt with the “North Korea threat” problem that was left to him by President Obama. Putin watched how Trump negotiated an exit to escalating conflict by honesty confronting China, the true hand on the puppet strings of the DPRK.
Putin saw in that North Korea geopolitical dynamic that President Trump dealt with Kim Jong-un with a brutally honest strategy that encompassed the influence of China. While Putin is more allied currently with China, he knows President Trump cuts through the gordian knot woven by western interventionists. Trump cuts through the gordian knot with honest and pragmatic policy.
As a result of this dynamic, everyone around President Trump, including the National Security Council, his National Security Advisor (Waltz), his CIA Director (Ratcliffe), and his State Dept Secretary (Rubio), all have to maintain the “western” pretenses that were/are cemented by the people and silos they replace.
The larger American government, sans President Trump, have to maintain all the aforementioned pretenses, in part because the Intelligence Community and the USA media support it, and in part because it would weaken the USA on the global stage to ever make honest admissions about our control of Ukraine. And yes, that pretending dynamic includes Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg who President Trump appointed as special envoy for Russia and Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin’s strongest weapon is the truth. Vladimir Putin also knows the auto-setting on President Trump’s psyche of problem solving, ie ‘optimal solutions’, is also centered on truth.
The proverbial $64,000 question: How does truthful President Trump deal with truthful President Putin, while all around the office of the White House are people who only know how to maintain pretenses?
That my friends, is going to be a very interesting dynamic to watch.
One way President Trump could gain back the power of not pretending is to: (1) request an immediate ceasefire; then (2) tell the CIA (Ratcliffe) to immediately withdraw all CIA operatives from Ukraine; then (3) tell Secretary Marco Rubio to pull all USAID operatives out of Ukraine; then (4) tell Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy he must hold a national election within 60 days.
If the U.S and NATO pull all of the control agents out of Ukraine and hold an election, the result will highlight the will of the Ukranian people to retain Volodymyr Zelenskyy. If Zelenskyy wins, then he is in a stronger position. If he loses, then he was never strong to begin with, and he’s the wrong person to be negotiating with.
Calling for an election in Ukraine is a radical approach because I think we all know what the outcome would be. Then again, that’s the problem with pretending, when you stop you have to accept the transparently predictable forecast.
In the interim, President Putin has the truth as a weapon, and President Trump is going to have to find a way to deal with it while everyone around him maintains pretenses.
My money is on President Trump finding an optimal solution, just like he did in North Korea. It will certainly be interesting to watch.

I appreciated the fact that Orthodox Christian Russia actually fought the War On Terror for real by exterminating thousands of ISIS & the terrorist group they told us did 9/11 “Al-Qaeda” while the Obama Administration ran cover and dropped and shipped them weapons to maim & murder innocent Syrians,Iraqi’s, and Lebanese.
While our own three letter agencies round tabled that black swan extravaganza. Hung it on a bunch of groomed patsies.
Speaking of those three letter agencies;
“(2) tell the CIA (Ratcliffe) to immediately withdraw all CIA operatives from Ukraine; then (3) tell Secretary Marco Rubio to pull all USAID operatives out of Ukraine; then (4) tell Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy he must hold a national election within 60 days.”
Wouldn’t they just lie to President Trump and continue controlling the operations there and also insert themselves into the election process? I don’t see them giving up their power and grift in Ukraine. In his first administration, President Trump ordered all US troops out of Syria. His orders were dismissed and no one was punished.
The earth could open up and swallow all of them who are still around and the world would be a better place
but if the earth burped-would we survire
Absolutely.
Haha – I think it’s more like the earth would have a bad case of diarrhea!
Why do you want to poison the Earth?
And we were going to lie to you about Georgia.
Boy are they trying, they only got about a week left to try and pull that one off, def getting desperate.
I’m curious why Laura Ingraham is included (in the bottom left)?
She’s part of the Fox News team. She can’t go rogue.
That’s not Laura Ingraham. It’s Alisyn Camerota with CNN.
She’s a truth manager, not teller.
Where’s NBC’s Lester Dolt?
Now do Syria
Speaking of and with unvarnished honesty. Lavrov is once again, making the case that only those “pretending not to know” could deny.
Is that the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church that went to Antarctica to meet the penguins? lol 🙂
yes, it was!🥰
So cute! Appears one of the penguins was acting
aggressive..wings out and neck extended….
Patriarch Kiril…looked at the penguin and said

Trinity Church (Antarctica)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_Church_(Antarctica)
The ambitious project to establish a permanent church or monastery on Antarctica first materialized during the 1990s. A charity named “Temple for Antarctica” (Храм — Антарктиде) was approved by Patriarch Alexius II and received donations from across Russia. They organized a competition for the project that was won by architects from Barnaul P.I. Anisifirov, S.G. Rybak and A.B. Schmidt.
The church was consecrated on February 15, 2004, by Theognost (Феогност), the Bishop of Sergiyev Posad and the Namestnik (abbot) of Troitse-Sergiyeva Lavra, who visited Antarctica for this occasion, along with a number of other clerics, pilgrims, and sponsors.
On occasion, the priest baptizes new adherents of Christianity in the Southern Ocean. On 29 January 2007, the priest of the church celebrated the first church wedding in Antarctica. The husband, Eduardo Aliaga Ilabaca, is a staff member of a Chilean Antarctic base, who had joined the Orthodox Church soon after the opening of the Antarctic temple; his wife, Angelina Zhuldybina, is Russian.
In 2016 Patriarch Kirill visited the church.
Russia knows whats up.
Satanic Temple outlawed in Russia Dec 5 2024
ER Editor: According to our research, this is precisely the attitude that should be taken toward Satanism. Putin really does know what he’s doing. Scientology and the Jehovah’s Witnesses have gone the same way.
Russia banned the LGBT movement as an international terrorist organization. This is on top of LGBT propaganda already being banned in the country.
This is what any sane country who cares about protecting its youth from degeneracy would do.

Seriously? Who are you to judge?
What>??
Who are we to judge?
You kidding us?
Who are you to support all that sick stuff?
What is wrong with you, is more the question here…
Jesus expects us to judge. If we are confronted with deviant aberrant behavior, we confront it. He did not stand idly by when the money changers made a marketplace of His Father’s house.
That one for sure.
Nor should allow frauds to make lost kids part of a money making cult like Scientology , nor accept public indecency . Limiting those freedoms may disappoint some in Russia but fom my reading most do not feel oppressed in their lives there and are proud of their nation .
Shut up you freak.
Lgbq starts out as, we just want to be accepted. Okay, we do. It has morphed into we will indoctrinate and neuter your children. This is what happens when you legalize sin. Enough already. When they come for the children, they are terrorists and it should be illegal.
Megyn Kelly did a good job of verbalising this when she talked about how her views on trans morphed.
Paraphrasing, and reviewing how many were initially taken in, due to feeling sympathy, and wanting to be tolerant;
Inintially, she felt sympathy, and wanted to think of herself as tolerant, and so she thought “Yeah,,,if these .men want to be referred to as women, so be it, WHATS THE HARM.
But then, having got us to open the Overton window, they tried to shove us out it, 30 stories up!
“Well, if you agree to refer to them as women, then obviously they need to use the ladies room.”
And, slippery slope, she found herself agreeing, although a little uncomfortably.
“And, of coarse if you agree they are referred to as women, and use the womens rest room, that also means womens showers, and competing against women in sports” and she even more relunctantly agreed.
And then they said “And a trans woman is a woman, at any point in her transition, so if she “looks” like a man, and still has all of her male attributes intact, if she SAYS she is a woman, she is a woman, is referred to as such, and can use female facilities, compete with women, etc.
Even more discomfort, and the activists charged ahead .
And, children that are trans, know they are trans from a young age, and so if a child says they are trans, they are, and should be put on puberty blockers and given the surgeries.”
And at THAT point (different for each person, of coarse) Kelly finally woke up, and said “Oh, HELL NO!”
THAT right there is the slippery slope of tolerance, and where it leads.
Discrimination became a negative trait during the civil rights movement, where it meant both behavior, treating some people differently and viewing them differently,..
But we ALL discriminate; having “discriminating tastes” used to be seen as a good thing.
Discrimination derives from a basic way our brain works, its “natural”; “Which of these things is NOT like the others?”
From a strickly tactical/strategic point of view, this move to advance the “Trans” issue, has got to be the dumbest, most self destructive ever.
It guaranteed they would eventually lose, and could never held any promise of benefit TO them.
And, while I am not sure they EVER could have successfully gotten society to fall for this scam, the accellerated pace with which they tried to advance, also guaranteed failure.
Discrimination is not inherently bad, and tolerance is not inherently good.
Undoing some of these “Cultural” issues they have introduced may be more challenging than anything else.
Agree with all that but I prefer your simpler explanation “chick/w dick” !!! That encapsulates everything I needed to know but I’m just a simple old man! Godspeed Dutchman!

I told my liberal son (voted for Jill Stein) that he will realize PDJT is a warrior for peace when he recalls and fires the matron’s of war, Nuland and Powers. Don’t make me eat my words Mr President.
That was one less vote for Kamala. It’s a start.
Nuland quit last February.
Officially, yes.
However, she and hubby Mr. Kagan still have clout and pull strings back behind the Neo-Con Curtain.
Their ilk never stops, they have to be stopped by good people.
Excellent point! My guess is there are many more like them who aren’t in the Federal bureaucracy but are part of the deep state!! They may not be collecting a Federal paycheck but are supported by various leftist NGOs and nonprofits many funded by the odious, evil George Soros! I pray his citizenship is revoked!!! I don’t care if he’s on his deathbed and has to be medically evacuated out of the country! The destruction he has done to the country and the deaths of Americans he has caused he has lost the great privilege of living here! JMO

Do most Americans
KNOW of, and support the work of these Goverment funded NGO’s that are attempting to violently overthrow democratically elected Governments around the World?
More and more, having cut the cord, know and few if any support.
This scam, of cerating NGO’s, funding them with Govt $, but then having them do things Govt. can not be seen as doing directly, is on the way out.
Technically, Congress controls the $, and cutting off the funding is essential.
But surely the new Trump administration can find many ways to put a stop to the insanities being carried out by these “NGO’s”.
that goes for all the ngo’s sponsoring “refugees” as well
Did they name the NGO’s?

Have both Ukraine and Russia hold blind elections overseen by a neutral third party. The problem is there are no neutral parties.
or, and hear me out, we can get free and fair elections in America and mind our own business.
Precisely. We, the creators of far too many of the problems in the world should turn our attention towards cleaning up both our own front and back yards and by example alone, lead the world into peaceful and respectful co-existence. What a lovely idea – long overdue. If not everywhere else in the world, at least America could pay fitting respect to our Founders’ dream.
As Pogo put it We have met the enemy, and they are us.
Bingo!
Exactly! How Ukraine and Russia elect their own leaders is none of my business. If folks haven’t noticed we have our election problems like California still “finding” ballots four weeks after Election Day!
Ha ha ha yeah how about trying that here first before throwing rocks at others
The difference betw reality and NYT/waPo pretense is so stark that it won’t be possible to deny reality much longer. The best card Trump has is that Putin probably doesnt even want Ukraine. He just seems to want a stable relationship and acknowledgement of his security concerns. It looks to me like the real impediment is Europe and its US insider allies, who seem to want a war betw NATO and Russia. How a war with a nuclear power makes any sense to NATO or the US is entirely unexplained.
This situation is what makes me worry about:
– Turmoil in other states (eg, Georgia, Syria)
– Assassinations and terror attacks in Russia
– False flag attacks in Europe
– Pre-inauguration hijinks in the US
Let’s pray to get thru the next several weeks. What a mess.
Yes. They’re trying to grab what they can before Trump takes office. Syria looks to be where they’re having the most success. Not counting already captive countries like England.
“How a war with a nuclear power makes any sense to NATO or the US is entirely unexplained.”
The EU and NATO are completely controlled by The Green Party which is really a Marxist Party in disguise. They hate Russia for many reasons including it’s Orthodox Christianity and it’s massive oil and natural gas production.
…altogether $ 74 trillions worth of natural gas/oil/coal/iron/uranium /precious and rare metals etc…..USA $ 47 trillions….
Good news is that the Green Party is losing support ..and power
Bigly!
Agree, they hate Orthodox Christianity and Russia.
✝️ ✝️ Actually, I believe they hate Christianity..period.
Yes, in fits and starts, the Nationalists opposing the Globullusts make strides in Europe, often 1 step forward to 2 steps back (like with Brexit).
It may be the various parliamentary systems, having been ‘gamed’ have enabled the Globullusts to be more entrenched, and successfully fend off the Nationalist/Populists, (and the people don’t have 2A) but the N/P’s are making progress, in Austria, Hungary, Georgia and Romania.
Its all of the above; can’t have a One World Gov. without Russia, can’t control energy unless they control Russia, they are salivating at exploiting the “natural resources” of both Russia and Ukraine, and sprinkle them with holy water and hear them scream, they are demonically possessed, hating and fearing Christ.
As a European emmigrant I have long been bothered by my country’s subservience to the USA in the face of the people , despite media propaganda being in favour of diplomacy , peace , and co-existence with Russia . A recently expressed view – that there are no truly sovereign nation states in Europe just a collection of ‘mayors ‘ who have been collectively coralled by the EU – locked in to NATO seems plausible .
Extremely insightful commentary; a pleasure to read. I tuned out of the interview about half way through, partly because I have short attention span after too many years at the computer screen (!) and partly because Lavrov, whom I deeply respect, is the personal embodiment of the word ‘boring’!
Your framing of Trump (problem-solver), Putin (truth), and courtiers (bodyguard of lies) is wickedly insightful. Thanks.
And, yes, it is going to be interesting.
I’m 40+ mins in and the most salient takeaway so far, is that absent the abrogation of the “Minsk Accords” most all this shit would not have needed to happen. RU began saying as early as ’07 by Putin that NATO could not continue their inexorable march eastward toward RU’s immediate borders. No, RU was not giving back territory of Crimea that’s finished, but UKR at the behest of the west forced tiny dancer Vlodymyr to keep dancing and as his Western Forces masters instruct.
Interesting also how Zelenskyy early on made note and allowance publicly for the shared history of RU and what became UKR. I don’t believe he shares that view today.
Zalensky “believes” wharever advances his interests.
He needed the backing of the Nazis, who have no tolerance for Russia or Russians living in Ukraine.
Therefore, neither does Zalenski.
I always found it interesting (red flag) that the oligarch Roman Abramovich (sp?) was going back and forth between Kiev and Moscow and helped negotiate the initial deal in Istanbul which BoJo then helped tear up, no doubt with US collusion. And there are stories about BlackRock investing billions in fertile Ukrainian farmland, plus vast mineral wealth and so forth. I remember reading in the early 2000’s when Peak Oil was all the rage that the Russians, using an abiotic theory, were putting in ultra-deep wells in Donbass and finding huge reserves which after a while they found elsewhere in Russia using deep wells and soon became World #1.
So this may have little or nothing to do with democracy and freedom and just be yet another ruthless resource play by rival conglomerates.
Which makes much of Lavrov’s and Putin’s reasonable, high-moral pronouncements just about as hypocritical as Blinken’s and Biden’s. (Not sure if that is an encouraging or discouraging thought!)
I’m sorry, just happened upon your reply.
So, I have no idea who is one the shakier higher moral ground btw those mentioned. But Faux Biden and Blinken are a joke, albeit a dangerous one.
While Putin and Lavrov are not. But I am all about, abiotic oil.
Amazing, and Tucker Carlson himself must be amazed, that doing actual journalism, interviewing those whom need to be interviewed, is part of the way forward, toward the ultimate prize – peace.
Who would have thought – Tucker Carlson, Emissary by virtue of doing what he does best, actual journalism. No need to pretend to be something other than what he is. That too is a form of honesty.
Yes, isn’t it ridiculous that a journalist had to do what the current incompetent regime should be doing? SMH.
i hate to sound impossibly naive,
but can’t they just have a friggin’ summit meeting?
PT and PP, in a room, no translators needed.
(i understand PP speaks fluent English.)
no bugs, no recordings, no wires, no video, nada.
what a great thing for the world if theses two leaders can open a direct dialogue!
Not until President Trump takes the oath of office and becomes the sitting President and the danger is what happens between now and then given how rabidly insane the outgoing administration people are when it comes to their hatred of all things Russia.
yes, understood, and thank you,
but within those perimeters, let’s get it done!
i vaguely remember the Reykjavík Summit.
that one didn’t end too well, but the world –
and the Russian government –
were very different at that time.
these are two leaders who CAN chart a better course for the world,
and who i believe WANT to do so.
let’s take the meeting!
When Trump is doing the right thing, the swamp boils. It’s already starting.
Actually, I would argue that the Reykjavík Summit DID end well, because Ronald Reagan showed that he understood the issues and that he wanted peace, but he would not accept on the terms that were being offered to to him…and in the end, Russia, accepted it on HIS terms instead!
(Of course, the Neocons are the ones who violated the terms by continuing to push the borders of NATO further and further east, in direct violation of the terms that Gorbachev had accepted.)
Hate for all things Trump and Russia. 😉👍
Its the uranium.
Ukraine has MASSIVE uranium ore reserves.
That is THE future power source for the world. Very very strategic.
Australia and Kazakhstan have the most massive known reserves of uranium around the world.
I don’t think Ukraine could crack the top 10. Might be the biggest in Europe though.
Russia is the biggest in Europe.
Here’s a chart in order of their uranium reserves.
https://www.visualcapitalist.com/charted-global-uranium-reserves-by-country/
Maybe I should of said the biggest in Europe, sans Russia. 🤷♂️
Just an aside – the linked site is called Visual Capitalist. I would have thought they would display outstanding visualizations of facts. But their weird jigsaw puzzle like presentation of uranium reserves by country is atrocious. A simple sorted bar chart would have been much more effective.
I searched the USGS (US geological survey) site – even more of a puzzle to find the latest report on known reserves, vs production. Just because a nation is high in production doesn’t mean they are the highest in reserves (not yet mined).
Thinking it’s because of the element I was searching for, might be a tighter control over sharing what the reserves are on that element, but from old reports Canada, Australia are up there, in quantity, with Russia for known reserves for that element.
That’s likely what will happen soon after Jan 20.
What is Tucker bringing back with him is the question?! It seems Trump has a few emissaries I’d say Grenell, Elon, and Tucker
I like Ric Grenell. Glad to see there is a dialogue starting.
Nothing, this was for the public that isn’t paying attention generally in america.
There was zero in this interview for those already following closely.
So, who is Tucker?
A truth teller or truth manager?
Or someone who vacillates between the two?
Chooseamerica: He’s a media personality making a living. He’s today’s Barbara Walters.
He’s definitely not Barbara Walters who gave us nothing but pablum. In fact, Bill I can’t think of any news media person he’s like.
He tells you the truth.
He’s someone who works on finding out the truth and sharing it. He may have some misconceptions, but he admits when he finds he was wrong…..like he did about January 6. I don’t mind a bit that being a truth-teller allows him to make a generous living.
He’s a tightrope walker.
Manager!
He knows things after having been in DC for decades but covered it up. He was happy to work for Fox for $$$$$. Let that sink in.
You had the option of listening to both sides of the conversation. What do you think?
Truth teller.
Sundance gives the granular details but the view from 80,000 ft needs to be understood to make sense of everything. I use one question to explain the situation. Why isn’t Russia entitled to it’s Monroe Doctrine? The US wouldn’t tolerate the USSR in Cuba 60 years ago. Why a difference with the Ukrainian situation.?
That’s why it’s never presented that way publicly. You’re right, it’s exactly parallel. Missles at your border. Reaching you in moments not hours. But you won’t see it framed in that manner, not by the leftists, not by the vichy republicans.
Not exactly parallel because the US has actually shot the missles into Russia besides having 27 bio labs on their border. Imagine 27 bio labs strung across our southern border.
How many fentanyl labs are strung across our southern border? (Biden tolerates those)
Distribution labs-made in china
Actually they ship precursors to mexico, and the labs do the final conversion to fentanyl, and then put it in its finished form, tyoically a pill but I have heard they have done “Gummies”.
Yes, and his legacy will be such.
scc-reedley-report-11.15.pdf Illegal bio lab in Reedley, CA
There was this one that was found out only because a garden hose I believe it was. How many more across the USA, much less across the southern borer?
Page 38 in the report above is a doozy. The CDC”s response. CRICKETS! No testing done on the hundreds of vials.
The conclusion? What we have come to expect, “things aren’t right, failures everywhere, something must be done”. Yeah, they’ll get right on it.
An incredibly ominous – and I would imagine largely overlooked – discovery – that CA based poisonous rat lab. Not ever heard another word on that in “the press”.
A “garden hose” lead to the discovery – whew.
Succinct and sufficient description of the situation.
The USSR’s missiles in Cuba 60 years ago were in response to US missiles in Turkey pointed across the USSR’s southern border. The eventual solution to get the USSR to remove its missiles from Cuba were Kennedy’s agreement to remove US missiles from Turkey.
No, that was the face saving way JFK diffused the situation. The missiles in Cuba were because the CIA tried to overthrow Castro regime.
A “color revolution” before we had the term.
So, the USSR put the missiles in Cuba, to deter the U.S. from attempting to invade Cuba.
Dutchman……
More research required.
Gulag escapee is correct.
Think of it as being a two-fer
for Russia at that time.
📚 📚 📚 👩🏫 👩🏫 👩🏫
I remember that Russia was flawlessly winning the cold war right before they collapsed. What a load of nonsense on this site today.
Russia is not your enemy. From 1917 to 1923 the White Russian Army along with military units from Finland Norway, France, Great Britain and the United States fought the Communist Red Army and suffered two million casualties. In the end, they lost and Czar Nicholas (the cousin of King George) and his family were murdered. Russia was our ally in World War I and again in World War II where they had 27 million deaths. In 1990, the Russian people overthrew the Communists reestablished the Russian Orthodox Church and became a Capitalist democracy. The most ruthless leaders of the Soviet Union were Ukrainian and Georgian not Russian!
Are you still fighting the Cold War?
Pretty sure they were in Turkey longer than you are suggesting.
Why wasn’t Russia entitled to adherence to the Minsk agreement? And why did I have to hear Victoria Nuland’s name two times?
Now we have China in the Americas.
There you go with logic that everyone should understand.
My heart breaks for the Russian people targeted via war and genocide in Ukraine, parts of Donbas and other areas that our demonic United States government, along with the help of the demonic United Kingdom (and others) tries to ERASE Russian culture and ethnicities off the map. What and who did Lavrov quote at one of their diplomatic meeting s about the current war that said, “There are humans and there are species,” (referring to the Russians as “species” and non-human). This is so typical of the deep state agenda; erasing culture and ethnicities that they don’t like, or because they want their spoils so they have to get rid of any semblance of that culture, or feel that the culture is beneath them. Granted, Russia is just the current example on a long list of other countries/ethnicities our satanic government, aided by other satanic governments are trying to wipe out, but I have to say God must be filling Putin with HIS patience as the only reason I can think of why Putin hasn’t sent his nukes to our country – even though we SO DESERVE IT!
I’m glad Lavrov got Neuland’s name out there at least; too bad he didn’t get Powers’ name in there as well. I wasn’t that impressed with Tucker’s questions but I gave him credit for basically giving Lavrov a platform to get Russia’s message out. And I don’t think that message was just aimed at the public in general; I believe this message was meant for various specific people and I would include Trump in that group.
Oh my, I think you might do some research. You are unaware of some of the history and facts.
Oh my, Slippery D. Weasel might tell us what his high-and-mighty self is talking about.
This thing is a glowie….
Spewing all the talking points of the scum that started all this.
Talks like Vindman, the leader of Buffet Team 6. Full of crap!
It is called history newcomer. Try reading some before ad hominem attacks.
The West gad broken at least two peace deals and squashed the Istanbul peace accords. That speaks volumes.
Made it near the end and to Lavrov’s thoughts on POTUS ( respect ) and that the difficulties that exist stem in large part from the fact that the U.S. insists upon all nations adhering to the “rules based world order”.
One set of rules. Rules set and controlled by the U.S. and the “West”.
Made sense to me, his take. World class statesman.
What rules?
You mean the ones the Democrats break every day. Promoting illegal immigration and sanctuary cities?
Rules for you, not for them.
No. He was speaking directly to the “American Imperialism” which most all will admit has been the leading philosophy of the US since. I dunno. Probably well before “United Fruit Company”. I’m sure you’re well aware of what occurred in 1954 in Guatemala and the overthrow of Arbenz. You are well versed, right?
The kind that still has US effect REGIME Change in places like UKR where were our USAID.CIA overthrow leaders who are often if not usually elected by their own populace, leading to probable if not already begun WW3.
I suspect if you had heard him speak on this as I paraphrased HIS WORDS, you would not have misinterpreted my comment or misunderstood what LAVROV SAID re a “ruled based world order”. For the purposes of your continuing education, elucidation and enlightenment. Listen again. It’s clear you thought that was MY POINT. It was not.
I don’t know why I bother. “Common Sense” lol is so sorely lacking – these days.
Uhm, the US has the world’s largest economy and the largest, most modern military. I believe they should have a large say in setting and controlling “the rules.”
No Sparky. It is not up to “they”. It is up to “us”.
Do you think that the citizens of the USA, with said economy and military, have been well and honestly served by the government that represents us?
If Russia and China had the same, would you feel the same way?
The US does not have the most modern military. Russia now has major drone production while the US is still spending billions on over-engineered conventional weapons. Russia has at least 4 hypersonic missile systems, while the US has none. We may have the largest economy, but we also have the largest debt in the world.
Agree,
Many different sources have reported that Russia
produces more than three times more than
US/NATO …..combined!
Exclusive: Russia producing three times more artillery shells than US and Europe for Ukraine | CNN Politics ☝️ ☝️ ☝️ March 2024
💥 💥 Was surprised when even CNN finally admitted it. I tend to believe
reports it is probably 6-10 times more💁🤷♀️
We have no hypersonics, and the Oreshnik-Hazel test and
the resulting damage ..and it didn’t even have a payload 😳 😳 😳 😬
turned target into dust…😳
And that Hazel is already on production line, and hints from Putin
about other new weapons that they will be testing…yikes 😳
Our MIC business model is..Profit before product.
Russia focuses on product.
Laughing…remembering the Russian Turtle Tanks🤣🤣👏👏
Very effective…it’s what happened when there are bored
Donbas coal miners. 🐢🐢🐢 Turtle Tanks!
Russia certainly has the second best army in Ukraine. Then there is the Black Sea fleet-or what is left of it.
How are the 80’s treating ya?
Advancingvthat age old argument that”Might makes Right” that tyrannists have championed thruout history.
only neocons/globalist/banksters and you think this way…
Our rules are only for our country. We have no moral or legal right to dictate rules to other countries.
It’s an interesting premise, rather a spot on one. Part of what makes Trump, Trump is that he’s an honest person. He was raised with strong parenting where the truth is a must have fundamental characteristic. Because as the old saying goes, one lie begets another lie and sooner rather than later you’ve screwed yourself into a hole where you can’t keep track of your lies or truths. When you operate in the world of Truth, then you operate some much better, no stories to keep track off. No pretending. A truthful man is a powerful weapon, that pretenders loath.
Very impressed with the upper echelon of the Russian government.
I really don’t understand why “everyone around President Trump “must maintain the western pretenses” because “it would weaken the USA on the global stage to ever make honest admissions about our control of Ukraine.” REALLY SD? As if the entire world doesn’t already know our demonic government owns the Ukraine debacle? Are other countries governments and citizens as stupid as ours?
Most likely because the majority of Americans don’t realize those surrounding pretenses are just that, pretenses, so anything done in the first months or two years, that threatens the existence of such walls is just simply inviting more impeachments.
Just a guess, or opinion, on my part. Kind of like taking candy away from a baby, they need to be distracted by other maneuvers before the sugar-high can be removed. The mainstream media have built such a wonderful hold on the lollipop of “their democracy” any move to quickly remove the illusion will be met with fire.
Thanks Bessie. I can buy that, for the next 2 years.
With you on that – 2 years time frame, after that, who knows what kind of nation we will have going forward.
Yes, and McConnell will surround Trump with a cabinet that will support the illusion, thus isolating Trump as well. He’ll have to play an inside game initially, and let events guide his overt actions.
800,000-1M Uke KIA is the latest figure.
Maybe 100,000-200,000 dead Russians.
The US and UK will rot in hell for this.
I think you have your figures backwards. Russia, being the aggressor, has lost several hundred thousand men, compared to Ukraine, the defenders.
NATO states that since the spring, Russia has lost around 1200 men per day.
Nope I did not get the figures wrong.
Sparky must be Vindman, lapping up the lies, like a good little Communist.
Ignore the clown…
Everything it posts, is the opposite of reality.
Troll e trolling…..
^ 100%. It came with friends lol
you are right…
Dang it, folks, don’t be me, I fell for it, I took the bait.
No, truly, Citizen Sparky5253, I love Big Brother!

“Ukraine has already lost 400,000 men on the battlefield” – former Pentagon adviser
MacGregor has said 600,000 about 18 months ago.
The figure of 800,000 – 1M was talked about on Judge Napolitano youtube recently.
All of whom are entertainers.
NATO is propaganda. Russia has ten times the artillery and that’s what kills soldiers. The Russians don’t advance until most of the Ukrainians are, unfortunately, dead.
You know not of what you speak.
BS… Sparky
You have totally missed the facts – which are substantiated by the controversy surrounding Ukraine’s forced drafting of 18 year olds and older males into their military due to the fact that so many soldiers have already been KIA’d and Russia has increasingly larger troop strengths in key regions.
Ukraine’s dwindling military leaders are experiencing exactly what Hitler’s Nazi’s experienced in late 1944-early 1945 – desperation to get warm bodies into uniforms holding guns because the vast majority of the army had been destroyed.
Here is but one of many such reports:
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/lacking-manpower-ukraine-resorts-to-harsh-means-to-force-draft-dodgers-into-combat
You pulled those numbers from where exactly?
The young Massachusetts National Guardman was prosecuted for leaking top secret classified CIA and DIA documents that revealed Ukraine was losing men at a rate of eight to every one Russian!
cross posted at https://freedomaustralia.freeforums.net/thread/6435/tucker-carlson-interview-russian-sergey
IF there is an election in the Ukraine will the residents of the Donbas be entitled to vote?
Asking for a friend…
Interesting question because fairly early in the war Russia formally annexed Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson and Luhansk. All those provinces are heavily Russian ethnic population and Russian speaking. The people there always favored pro-Russian candidates and close alignment with Russia.
If those territories are now part of Russia, Russia cannot allow them to vote in a Ukrainian election. That would be like admitting the are still part of Ukraine rather than part of Russia.
If those four provinces do not vote, the Ukrainian (western) part of the country has always been pro-EU. They favored war to retain territory before the war started. But they have now suffered through two years of war and very heavy casualties. Much of their pre-war population fled as refugees to other countries.
Are the western-Ukrainians hardened and bitter enough to keep fighting? Or are they worn-down and ready to quit? Huge numbers of desertions and draft-dodging suggests they are ready for peace. That means the EU and US will never allow an election because they know they will lose.
If the Western Ukrainians are hardened and bitter enough to keep fighting then it’s totally on their own dime and they should be prepared to suffer the consequences when they lose!
^ Extremely and accurately stated. Thank you.
I suspect the willingness to “fight on” is vastly overstated by the agit-prop ministers ( and VZ himself ) and does not reflect the will of the Western UKR peoples. The reports of massive desertions would tend to support this.
Not counting the tattooed love boys, of them Azov fellers. They of course are blindly following the madness of Banderas, and some decades old resentments leftover from ww2
All those locations are loaded with minerals. The ethnic Russians were used for cannon fodder in 2022-23. No one recognizes those territories as part of Russia.
No, they’ve already formally joined Russia.
Only the rest of the world pretends they aren’t now solidly Russian.
Pretending not to know again M? Just how was that referendum conducted?
We can only pray that Putin does not agree to play in NATOs war
He won’t. Can’t afford the casualties and humiliation.
That last question and answer – could hear a pin drop in the proverbial room of what those in NATO playing their game of world domination must be reacting with.
Had to sit for quite a bit absorbing that bom bshell of a statement by the Foreign Minister.
This is a VERY careful man. I doubt we have anyone close to his intelligence in his field.
His command of English is amazing. Having heard Lavrov speak in the past, I am fully in awe of his diplomacy and his understanding. Do we have anyone who has such command of Russian in our government?
Nellie Ohr? ( just kidding! )
no we do not have..but but Melania speak Russian…
nyet
I agree with you – and my earliest and long term assessment of Lavrov, when first hearing that Carlson was speaking to Lavrov and before SD posted this was to comment on Lavrov’s “calm and measured gravitas” that I have noticed over the years. He clearly, has not changed.
Lavrov is a master propagandist. I would not believe most of what he says.
He’s certainly not Obama!
Actually Sparky, the whole thing about the coup and the vote by the people to join Russia (common language and culture) rather than be ruled by a US puppet government is 100% factually correct. Zalenski was installed by the CIA, Nuland and Vindeman. Unfortunately, the US is the bad guy here. I hate being on the bad guy’s team. J20 can’t come soon enough.
Short, concise, easy to say with little in the way of examples that would convince anyone thinking critically about what is happening and being discussed.
Kind of like saying, I don’t like Borscht. I would suggest no one should try it, as it is horrible.
Have always been afraid to try borscht, ever since I was 5 years old. Never liked the way it looked. My father loved it. Never would eat kafilte fish either because it looked ugly
Do many people even know what borscht is?
Pray and help others
“Do many people even know what borscht is?”
Comedians playing the “borscht belt” in The Catskills way back when circa 1950’s. The Jewish comics version of the “chitlin cicuit” 🙂
Gefilte fish is like Jewish Spam lol
Yes and I believe everything the Cabal in Washington say 😂😂
Especially their media lackeys.
Me too!
Quando omni flunkus moritati
+ their interweb trolls…
It’s not propaganda. We started the war in 2014 and broke three agreements to end it!
…
Great interview. it very clear the Russian are full aware of the propaganda coming from the cabal and they are not falling for a single bit of it.
The Russians live in the no pretense zone.
I hope President Trump watched this interview unfiltered.
Part of the problem is that Biden, back when he was still capable of an occasional lucid moment, fancied himself some kind of reincarnated FDR facing down a modern-day Hitler. Look at the language he used early in the war. I recall him saying of Putin that, “This guy has got to go.” Who in the blue blazes did Biden think he was to make that demand of the country with the largest nuke inventory on the planet?
I’m hope Putin continues to show restraint until the adults are back in charge next month.
No matter what the result, if Russia isn’t forced to return to the borders of two years ago, the socialists will savage Trump as a Putin stooge. Actually, they will no matter what.
I’m grateful for TC going and talking to these leaders as serious men, and Zelenky’s refusal to do an interview speaks volumns.
Fascinating interview.
None of us really know what questions to be asking unlike Tucker and/or SD…
Or Russian historians in this audience.
One question that comes to mind however is Victoria Nuland.
How was she awarded so much power and influence?
Who is this woman?
Yes, she is but one of the heads of the hydra, but I am amazed she wields so much influence…
Ans now of course we have other types such as Samantha Power et cetera…
Anyway, great interview.
Lavrov is allegiant to his country as you would expect.
I am inclined to support nearly all his reasonable positions except…
He decries the lack of elections in Ukraine – that is fair.
But Putin wins elections the way other strongmen do and have done…
By force.
What about that?
And where did you get your information about the elections of Vladimir Putin? Are you aware of the international observers in Russian elections? Have you questioned them? How many people who live in Russia have you asked?
Are you aware of Vladimir Putin’s popularity in Russia?
Oh please, votes are still being found, and counted 4 weeks after voting ended!
Election fraud is rampant.
That particular high horse galloped away a long time ago.
Our country is no example of election integrity but to say that Russia has election integrity? … is being disingenuous.
I was going to write “and the USA/west has to pretend it dodn’t/doesn’t have ~20 biolabs in the Ukraine”, but
*somehow* Vic NuNuland let that slip at a congressional hearing a couple of yrs ago
and there it is:
Lavrov: “it is estimated that 45K Palesiniaan civilians killed in war w Israel”
Where does he get his number? I’m sorry (not sorry): this is propaganda
Where does he get his number?
Try BR-549. Ask for Junior-

Slightly ghoulish.
He was using the safer number from a few months ago from unhrc, open your eyes, it’s higher already.
“Literally, all talks between government officials and emissaries have been severed for the past two years.”
While our Oval Office is shadow-run by B.O. and Jill (so far as anyone knows) at least there are adults in charge in Russia. Pains me to write that, but what else does the evidence show?
1/20/2025 needs to arrive asap.
PDJT will restore something called “diplomacy”.
Lavrov makes a compelling argument that the United States government is generally, if not always, a bad actor in foreign affairs.
We create problems and we create “muddy holes”
…we then fish in those muddy holes.
True dat’
I met Lavrov, while holidaying in the Maldives (to those listening in, yes I’ve been debriefed). He was genuinely a good man. Quick and funny, and extremely well read. As we consumed more alcohol he became sharper and spoke of a world view that was generally amicable toward each other. But he wasn’t utopian, he did not live in pretend land and was fiercely proud to be Russian and of Russia. I got the feeling that he was legitimately burdened by the ever-present wedge between Russia and the West.
This interview was almost certainly directed at a 1-person audience.
Lucky you!
I am jealous.
I would consider myself lucky if I had been able
just to sit at nearby table and listen to that
conversation.
Fascinating Dan. That’s a drink I would like to have shared. Your firsthand account reflects just what I would have expected as a takeaway, after speaking directly with the man. I can also imagine you would have been “de-briefed”.
Have you spoken to any officials in the Biden administration since then? “I don’t want to ruin their career.” Go ahead Sergey, they deserve it.
Russia has no motivation or reason to participate in a cease fire. There would have to be significant unilateral action taken by the west as a show of good faith for Russia to even consider a cease fire.
Russia is, what, 75 % of the way to accomplishing the SMO goals? No reason to stop now with their increasing momentum.
The Russians have clearly, on multiple occasions, stated their minimal starting points to resolve this war. Which is that all their objectives for the SMO must be achieved.
The fact that they have already defeated NATO/US precludes them from needing to negotiate away their minimum starting position.
The worst possible outcome would be a ceasefire, and a “freeze” in the conflict. Creating a Korean type split, with the western side becoming a European “Somalia”, hot bed of terrorism and chaos, fueled by the EU and US is the worst outcome.
Both Zelenskii and the Rada remain in power illegally under their own Constitution. It is impossible to negotiate and sign binding deals until after there is an election.
Signing a peace agreement with the current Ukraine regime would be the modern equivalent of accepting the National Socialist government and Hitler occupying what was left of Germany in April, 1945.
France and Germany are already imploding. Hopefully what is left of the Ukraine Army and the regime will completely disintegrate before Trump takes office. He can then negotiate a realistic European security framework that is real and non pretending.
The Russian people have sacrificed immensely to defend themselves from this barbaric threat from the west, and their government has to answer to the sacrifice of its’ people and protect them from the existential threat NATO poses to peace and prosperity.
Fantastic interview!
Did not disappoint.👏👏
A lot of history, I hope it opens more eyes.
Lavrov is a true Diplomat.
Truly!
Quite the contrast to the simplistic lies from our ‘diplomats.’
Funny, isn’t it. You can hear someone speak and you know the “truth” when you hear it.
Because it resonates with – The ring of truth lol
Excellent conversation between Tucker & Lavrov. I love that Lavrov called out Victoria Nuland at least twice!!
Excellent article from Sundance.
I think we all, including USG, should STOP pretending and tell the truth and get on with it.
Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!!
“The larger American government, sans President Trump, have to maintain all the aforementioned pretenses, in part because the Intelligence Community and the USA media support it, and in part because it would weaken the USA on the global stage to ever make honest admissions about our control of Ukraine. And yes, that pretending dynamic includes Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg who President Trump appointed as special envoy for Russia and Ukraine.”
Sundance lays out the Deep State Philosophy. Plausible Deniability. The Emperor has no clothes. People that think this is a smart philosophy are Half Smart. They think they are smart but are Dumb. People that accomplish goals see this policy for what it is. Stupidity. Weakness. Evil. Doing this lying weakens us on the global stage. Plausable deniability is a philosophy of cowards and scoundrels.
All the people in the State Department and IC that adhere to this Lying need to be removed.
I see that Tucker won Putin’s approval to return, which means to me that he handled things correctly the first time. I got 40 minutes into the interview and fell asleep, but not before hearing the russian foreign minister state that Russia, in so many words, was not going to take the bait laid out for them.
I will re-listen to the whole thing because for us, Americans, it’s really important to know how Russia is going to respond. Sadly, under the current ghost regime, we cannot trust our own government to not do something very, very stupid. Our lives hang in the balance. IMHO.
Lavrov speaks of trade tariffs between EU, Ukraine, and Russia as part of factors leading to the 2022 Russian invasion.
We have seen the effect of sanctions on Russia.
One may start to wonder if such economic levers are being employed for purposes greater than what is presented, given the geopolitical shifts they are driving.
Now, we have Trump threatening huge tariffs on China, and China responding:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/12/china-bans-export-precious-minerals-antimony-gallium-germanium/
Lavrov downplays the relationship between Russia and China, but this does not comport with realities of their very close relationship growing closer.
China has strategic control now of many things necessary for the US to function, in addition to rare earths noted in the above linked article.
Interesting how the incoming Trump regime is providing a pretext (tariffs) for China to start moving to throttle the US, possibly staging for completely shutting the US down if the US provokes war with Russia.
The Trump team is smart. They know all these things. Where do you think they are steering things?
“Lavrov speaks of trade tariffs between EU, Ukraine, and Russia as part of factors leading to the 2022 Russian invasion.”
—
No he did not, not at all, he spoke to that issues being what was contentious about EU deal ukraine was pursuing in 2014 prior to the US coup in 2014.
“There have been no diplomatic channels used by the U.S. government toward Russia for over two years. Literally, all talks between government officials and emissaries have been severed for the past two years. As I have said before, this is a very dangerous dynamic.”
In this interview, Lavrov said the U.S. was notified 30 minutes ahead of the Oresnik launch. So there are communications, at least military-to-military, between Russian and the U.S.
This was a good interview but Tucker is still in way over his head. Obviously, his dad advising Orban is facilitating these interview s.
Lavrov is an outstanding diplomat, something we in the West are severely lacking these days.
“Lavrov is an outstanding diplomat, something we in the West are severely lacking these days.”
How might unrestricted warfare by a regime against its populace proceed without the targets knowing they are the targets of such?
Mechanisms might include veiling ulterior motives of actions, even using apparent incompetency as cover.
If the real goals of the Controllers steering the US include shaming and embarrassing the US as part of steering it down, then feigned incompetency of leaders and diplomats could be considered an outstanding success, depending on how shaming and embarrassing the results.
The pinnacle: bidenpuppet.
Blinken apparently also up there in the rankings.
It is fascinating that the sculpture on the table between Tucker and Lavrov is a miniature of the Laocoön Group. I’m sure it was carefully chosen.
“The Laocoön Group depicts the story of the Trojan priest Laocoön and his sons, Antifate and Timbreo, who were crushed by two sea snakes while trying to prevent the wooden horse from entering Troy.”
In this setting, it allegorically represents the agonizing fate of those who try to save their city/state by warning of the deception of the Enemy at the Gates.
The deadly serpents of the deep state are numerous and lethal. Those who try to alert the city are forewarned of the consequences.
An interesting post from @miketheking1517 raises more questions. Lavrov is sending a message.
Is Tucker a member of the Pilgrims Society?
Fascinating, thank you!
This interview dovetails very well with the Rohan interview with Mike Benz.
Benz corroborated Lavrov’s assertions about the coup in Ukraine.
Speaking of meaningful silence between the words…
Lavrov shrugged his shoulder when asked what he thought of Trump as if to say, it doesn’t matter what I think because ultimately it is not Trump working the levers of power that move against Russia.
No coincidence that Tucker met Lavrov. Not so much in Russia’s interest but more in American Interest.
Washington D.C. is such a ball of Lies that American interests are misconstrued with the careers of Government paid Bureaucrats, Politicians, War Mongers and Profiteers. So much so that American Interest, American National Security is being crushed by the various Mob Families operating inside D.C.
Tucker is Trump’s Russian Point Man.
I’m seeing the possibilities of the Middle East and Ukraine being resolved if the 2 Main Forces, the U.S. and Russia learning to play ball with each other.
American Energy (a lot of which is Canadian) should be kept for American National Security.
Let Russia and Europe find a way to mend fences, through Commerce, not guns and threats.
Meanwhile, back in Mar-a-Lago:
https://www.unz.com/pgiraldi/who-the-hell-is-in-charge-here/
Isn’t this what Trump has been vehemently denouncing? The uber-Deep State/neocon/swamp slimeball Lindsey Graham and his owners, the Nethanyahu clan?
Yet here in Trump’s house, we have Graham grinning madly, giving a demonic thumbs-up while Trump hob-nobs with the wife of the wanted war criminal, and the son, who is of military age, but prefers to party in Miami while we American taxpayers send his daddy billions of dollars and weaponry to wage never-ending war. How is Graham slithering into and around the Trump camp? How’s that swamp-draining coming along?
Disappointing is putting it mildly.
It will come as no surprise that POTUS is virulently Pro-Israel. I won’t speak in any depth re Bibi or the current ME war. Other than to say, I have no doubt as to the criminality of his reign. But it cuts both ways, obviously.
Tucker didn’t seem prepared for this interview.
Acted like a deer caught in headlights when Lavrov was answering questions and commenting on the Ukraine situation.
Which is hilarious given he’s done many an interview in the last year and even just last few months with others where all these topics have come up and in those Tucker even brought some them up himself in those interviews, so it’s faux surprise.
That’s because Tucker was out of his depth – and why by way of example, Lavrov had to say to Tucker things like – “No, Istanbul” to which Tucker would reply, and barely audibly “oh, right”.
