Inflict pain in what way? You people don’t get it. Trump is not a dictator. You need 60 votes in the Senate to get anything accomplished other than budgetary matters and nominations.
Trump can’t crush some holdouts in the Senate over one nomination. He will need their votes and cooperation on many other issues and can’t afford to alienate them at the start of a 4 year term.

I’m feeling more positive about the Bondi nomination and here’s why:
Todd Blanche has already been nominated by Trump to be the Assistant AG and he is the real deal!
He’s a New York prosecutor who specialized in wire fraud, public corruption and racketeering. He resigned his partnership in a successful Manhattan law firm to defend Donald Trump in the sham criminal trial brought by Alvin Bragg and presided over by Merchan.
He may be the real work horse in the AG’s pursuit of corruption in the DOJ, FBI and CIA, while the flashier Bondi stands before the cameras.
Did I mention he’s also a decade younger than Bondi?
There is an outside chance, perhaps as small as it may seem, that Bondi, like Elon, Rogan, JFK Jr and many others, have been red pilled finally.
We wont know until he gets settled in.
I am not happy about Bondi either, like most of us. However, it is what it is. Time will tell.

Folks, take a deep breath and relax. Wait until the dust settles and all the information is available and confirmed. Note one possible scenario that doesn’t require a Senate confirmation but requires cooperation from DeSantis would be to appoint Gaetz as Rubio’s replacement which would place Gaetz as the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Most people I read on X/Gab are breaking into 3 camps on these nomination announcements:
1 – Every pick is awesome…everyone in this camp seems to be fine with Bondi for this reason and aren’t twisting themselves into knots over Gaetz.
2 – The picks are a mixed bag, some good, some questionable, on the whole better than Term 1.
3 – Every pick is a Zionist, nothing’s going to change except the curtains, new boss is the same as the old boss.
My opinion is that the qualities Trump is valuing most in his picks are a mix of having an axe to grind against the department they’re nominated for and personal loyalty to Trump.
The latter is the concerning thing, since the best insurance policy against a Trump 2.0 outcome would have been for the Uniparty to keep some of their members in Trump’s circle from lifting their mask and pretending to be loyal all through the first Trump and Biden term in order to hobble the second term if it came about. Loyalty can be a big blind spot if the people trusted turn out to be snakes.
Pam Bondi defended Trump during the impeachment trial, I’m sure that’s a significant factor in why she is the choice.

I fail to see what the motive behind this hire is. President Trump is under a sword of Damacles currently with these personal prosecutions against him. If he does not MASSIVELY fix the DOJ he will have all of these cases and more brought against him again when he leaves office in four years. He has selected a lot of great people for other positions, also some like the Rubio for SoS could be seen as strategic, but this seems like a huge unforced error.
You can’t clean up corruption when the top prosecutor is herself corrupt. No matter who is second in command, no matter what a great job she did on a bogus impeachment.
Many Trumpers can’t get it through their head that she is corrupt . On the other hand it would kill the mainstream media to admit Bondi was corrupt in the Zimmerman trial because they support corrupt people and are corrupt themselves.
Sundance has made it loud and clear that Bondi is corrupt however, with plenty of examples so that will be used against her by the enemy for sure if she gets too close to upsetting the applecart and that fact alone completely wipes out her suitability .
I’m sitting back and watching what Trump does and who Trump picks to be the key players. That’s it folks, can’t impact much else at this point, my ace in the hole, my vote, has been cast. Why would you think Bondi is like Sessions? I think the main reason people dislike Bondi is because of her actions during the Trayvon Martin debacle. But then-Governor Rick Scott was also involved, Scott and Bondi appointed Angela Corey to persecute George Z. So if people are going to condemn Bondi they need to condemn Scott too.

The same thing happened recently in the comments to the article about Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin. Just because the guy said he’s taking his job seriously to vet nominees commenters flipped out, called him a RINO, and assumed he would refuse to confirm any of Trump’s picks. Nevermind that Mullin endorsed Trump and has in other ways proven himself to be a Trump ally.
Today GP reported that Markwayne Mullin was a definite NO on Matt Gaetz!

Put on your thinking caps for a moment. Bonde is such a illogical candidate and unfit for AG – Trump knows that. The fact remains her and Trump are very good friends which makes me think the two have cooked up a ruse to completely throw off the Dems/IC/Uniparty/RINOs by moving her through the Senate hearings and gain an up vote. Trump knows he needs a brilliant firebrand in the slot and Gaetz was/is perfect – the left hates him and the 7th floor DOJ fear what he can do to them. So imagine Trump has bigger pressing eggs to fry namely Ukraine peace deal and immediate border clossure/deportations. It likely will take him the first 100 days to get the Exec Orders straightened out bringing his back and trashing biden’s. Then there’s the pesky globalists edging to bring down our economy. Fighting Senate confirmations on controversial appointments is resource intensive. I say he asked Pam to take 1st 60 days as AG and then either feign personal or health problems resulting in resignation – they can be personal and “female”. She steps aside and Trump exercises “Acting” replacement – Gaetz under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 . No Senate hearings, no blood or smearing and no contest. There are Constitutional pathways albeit never implemented that would allow the President to declare both chambers would go into recess – note the Uniparty cooked up a strategy a couple decades ago where if the house wanted recess, the Senate would decline, or vise versa leaving a quorum always active neutering Presidential recess appointments if that’s what they wanted. So the Constitutional power given to the President to declare both chambers in recess would likely draw the feared dictator card from the left and the lawfare would strangle the President’s plans. Instead a routine appointment of Gaetz as Acting AG is common place practice, wouldn’t draw the public ire nor fuel lawfare. The Vacancies Act carries a 210-day cap on the period a temporary “Acting [AG] could serve. The time limit begins to run on the date the vacancy occurs. However Presidential first term or non-sequential term are treated differently. “Positions that are vacant during the 60-day period beginning on Inauguration Day may be filled in an acting capacity for up to 300 days. The Vacancies act is clear that the temporary term o 210 days or in this case 300 days can be renewed by the President nominating a permanent appointment that fails Senate confirmation and the 300 days would start all over again. Conceivably this could be executed until 2026 when half th Senate seats are up for election. Then once Trump has a favorable Senate they can conduct the traditional confirmation. This also would be a way to neuter Thune and the Senate’s stanglehold on Presidential powers of appointment. So before you get your undies all wadded up, consider that are alternate strategies that could be used and Pam is merely a willing participant. And I find it curious Gaetz would just give up and walk away. He’s a fighter and has never stepped back on any controversy I’m aware of. It just seems too choreographed and in Washington, nothing is as it appears.

Trump was to have learned muchly from his 2016 “personnel debacle’. In a pantheon of odious choices, Sessions sat alone, far and above the rest. From Gaetz to Biondi is giving me the worst kind of whiplash. It’s more than the choice itself. It’s a litmus for what Trump learned from his rookie mistakes. Disquieting from this chair. Go Trump.
