So now President Trump has Johnson at speaker of the house. Thune as the majority leader and now he wants to put Bondi as AG. Three of the most important positions and he couldn’t have worse people filling them… What is he thinking?! Why would he put people in positions that he continually has to watch because they have absolutely no intention of making sure that he succeeds? I know Johnson and Thune aren’t technically people that he put in place, but I’m pretty sure that he could’ve done something to take them down.

I’m doing some searches now, limited to the date range Jan 1 2015 to Jan 1 2024. It does appear that Bondi is loyal to Trump. Democrat media hates her, so that’s a good thing. 🙂

Why do you perceive that as a problem?
I think she was probably at the top of a short list BECAUSE of her loyalty to Trump… but that’s not a good reason to pick her. I think she presented her arguments well enough during Trump’s first impeachment (she was on the defense team)… but overall, I don’t think she has the chops or the tenacity to go head-to-head with DOJ #Resistance, which is what’s needed.
I actually think loyalty is the #1 requirement now. No more of these semi-loyal or disloyal people who think they know better than Trump.
There are others who would be both. He has RFKJr in and he is not a loyalist. He is there to accomplish his own health agenda and will not support certain other policies.
The AG only has to be loyal to Trump (no secrets), and do as he directs, including appointing the special counsel that Trump designates. And, I hope the special counsel is an angry attack dog.
Todd Blanche is his pick for deputy attorney general, and Emil Bove is his pick for principal associate deputy attorney general.
Bondi could end up being another figurehead AG like Garland, but Blanche and Bove would be the complete opposites of Lisa Monaco.

There are ways to get the desired people into the offices, but DJT has to be POTUS first. Recess appointments, Federal Vacancy Replacement Act, and the “Mac Daddy” of Article 2, Section 3 of the US Constitution, wherein the POTUS can put both houses of congress in recess indefinitely if one goes into recess and the other does not. The problem is not having a body in the position on day one, with the team already chosen.
To be quite frank, I would have preferred Jeff Clark, John Eastman, or Ken Paxton, for the AG position, but I have no juice in Trump World.

Bondi has political ties to President Trump stretching back to 2013 when she solicited what turned out to be an illegal campaign contribution from the Trump foundation.
