Responding to reporters’ questions, today President of the European Union commission Ursula von der Leyen congratulated Donald Trump then immediately began the framework to explain EU background discussions in economic terms. “We still get a lot of [liquified natural gas] from Russia, and why not replace it by American LNG, which is cheaper for us and brings down our energy prices,” said Ursula von der Leyen.
The EU realizes the seismic shift that is upon them as a result of the U.S. election. Everything from the Ukraine-Russia war; the economics of energy which President Trump will use in negotiations for peace; to the factual lowered prices within the EU created by Joe Biden energy policy to punish Americans; to funding for NATO in combination with the potential for the end of the Marshal Plan one-way tariffs are looming. President von der Leyen is in a very precarious position.
.
Ursula was speaking from ¹Budapest, Hungary.
While many are interpreting her remarks about purchasing LNG to be snuggling up to President Trump, factually it is a much bigger problem than western media will openly discuss.
President von der Leyden is trying to position herself against the Trump Doctrine.
Energy products do not belong to extraction companies. The oil and gas belong to We the People. It is a national resource value held by private individuals (landowners) and the government (public lands).
The U.S. Govt permits oil and gas companies to operate, and the companies pay fees to the government for approvals.
The government sells leases and permits for negotiated extraction. Biden hampered this process, cancelling leases, cancelling permits and shutting down pipelines and extraction processes that drove prices higher.
Let me explain what is coming with a question: Whose energy prices do you think Trump cares about? The price Americans pay, or the price Ursula and the Brussels bureaucracy pays?
America First!
President Trump’s geopolitical leverage is to stimulate energy production domestically, while controlling export permitting in the process.
Rember, Biden increased LNG exports and drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as part of his anti-Russia strategy.
The SPR oil sales made little impact on the global market and U.S. gasoline prices jumped. Meanwhile, the pushed LNG exports drove domestic prices for natural gas higher.
President Trump’s “America First” MAGAnomics will reverse the Biden energy plan in part by limiting LNG export and dropping U.S domestic prices. This will lower inflation and transfer natural inflation to Europe. The second part is to create leverage needed in the Ukraine/EU/Russia dynamic.
Russia is blocked from selling gas (or LNG) into the broader western global market. This creates an opportunity for Trump at the negotiating table.
Increasing production leases, expanding pipelines, reauthorizing terminal development, while simultaneously controlling (ie limiting) export contract approvals lowers domestic oil and gas prices.
Once domestic prices drop to a level that Trump feels is the most economically beneficial, only then does the other part of the equation come into play.
What Ursula said today was an attempt to pressure Trump to retain Biden policy of subsidizing the EU (via expanded energy exports) while the U.S. consumer pays more. Watch Trump say, “no deal.”
President Trump gets leverage toward Putin’s agreement (perhaps acquiescence) in Trump’s Ukraine peace deal by holding the carrot of renewed gas sales into the western (global) market; sanctions essentially removed, in combination with the withdrawal of U.S. LNG pumps into the same market.
Trump already said, “the gold under our feet” will drive his term-2 geopolitical strategy. This is the second iteration of the Trump doctrine.
Expanded energy product development will lower the U.S. cost of goods, ultimately lowering prices. Inflation is then under better control. The Green New Deal dies an immediate death.
In combination with targeted tariffs, the energy sector then becomes part of the geopolitical equation to attain global peace. Simultaneously, improving our position as a global energy provider generates the money to expand our economy and pay down debt. “The gold under our feet.”
Throughout the process the dollar climbs in value against global currencies. A climbing dollar weakens the BRICS group who are, understandably, attempting to remove the dollar as the dominant trade currency because a weaponized dollar (Russian sanctions regime) is against their interests.
China and the EU will try to devalue their currency as a tariff offset; however, both China and the EU are energy dependent. The more they devalue their currency, the greater the impact to their own domestic price inflation. This is a substantive difference between Trump term-1 tariffs, and Trump term-2 tariffs.
In this second term, President Trump now has the opportunity to leverage U.S energy production and global energy prices as a weapon to force China and the EU to feel the true impact of targeted tariffs. President Trump then extends the benefit of his leverage position during his negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
If Asia balks, or if China tries to use their new and larger trade position for economic influence with Russia’s decision making, President Trump simply tells Beijing to back down or tariffs increase.
Ursula doesn’t stand a chance.

it always pissed me off that EU preferred buying from Russia than exports from us.
maybe we couldnt supply their full need. who knows. being dependent on us was a worse feeling than being dependent on Russia I guess.
FUvdL
So much can be said with just one small word:)
It’s really quite simple, isn’t it? 😉
We don’t want them buying from us. We want us to buy from us.
I would rather they buy from us instead of the people we’re paying (think.NATO) to protect them from.
What?
Gesundheit.
Bless you…
LOL!
Prior to Pres. Trumps 1st. term, Germany was purchasing natural gas from Russia while not bothering to pay its fair share of NATO dues essentially buying from the people we pay to protect them from.
In two years or less we will lead the world in the production and export of LNG….again. We did it last time with limited production facilities, the permits for expansion were denied by the current administration.
Oh! To be a welder, pipe fitter, electrician, HVAC, or plumber, etc. during these LNG export facility buildouts.
And this, just one single piece of, DRILL BABY DRILL!!
Death to DEI, trans studies, safe spaces and milk and cookies for those whose feelings are hurt! Worthless college degrees – YOU’RE FIRED!
Average age of today’s welder is 50+, the introduction of robots hindered interest in the trade. A lot of people didn’t realize a robot has no clue what it’s welding and needed certified welders trained to program them.
So let’s train those younger guys, get them good jobs!
We here know very well that under the President’s first term in office, he did not get us involved in wars. I believe he will accomplish that again (by the looks of things, already doing it!) So … perhaps training our Vets who may have an interest in learning the profession, and who are not physically challenged? Some may choose not to remain in the military, and they will need jobs.
We recently saw a problem with a pipeline due to computers, which could have been overridden manually, but none of the younger guys had any idea how to do that.
People can correct me on the details if I’m wrong about any.
If you don’t know how to do a job manually, IMO, you don’t really know the job.
Have an electrical engineer friend who always says something to the effect, “manual backup!”
Retired 24 years ago and 15 years before that helped bring an oil industry Catalytic Cracker into the computer age. My last request/suggestion was to take the computer offline once a month and have the control operator get hands on experience.
Since retiring everything is now computer controlled and wonder if there are any experienced operators on the job. The refinery has been sold to another company so do not visit as most people I knew have passed.
Removal of federal regulations on pipelines allowing for pipeline expansions and buildouts create the highways necessary to move the production as a result of DRILL BABY DRILL!
I just got home from an Industry conference where one of the sessions focusing on retaining talent was to be delivered by an “HR and DEI consultant”. Needless to say, I found something else to do during that time.
Sheesh! They could have at least had AI give it!/sarc off
But if we limit the exports, we will reduce our prices and retain our valuable oil and gas assets for our own use for a much longer period of time.
Why? Russia isn’t evil, its defending itself, just as we must!
because the EU tells us they hate Russia. and they still buy from them rather than us.
maybe I didnt word it best
for sure we promised mo nato on Putin’s doorstep ..And where is it now ? And that lilliputian grifter in the Uke ? now there are US troops & arms helping him ? why ? big democrat biz these international forays with US blood & treasure .. and no national interest at all
they got their money’s worth. they can pull out and move on. they robbed us and everyone else for 4 straight years.
Do a massive tax audit on them! L-O-N-G, costly, and mean! 87,000 IRS agents on it.
Nice!
That grifter IMO has looked more at ease in recent days. Whatever Trump told him in that meeting was obviously hard to swallow, but he appears to have come to terms with it.
🎯!
“Russia isn’t evil”
LOL, there is no evil then. The murderer’s of 100 million + are not evil. Invading and killing your neighbor is not evil. Murdering journalists is not evil. Supporting the terrorists in Iran is not evil.
There are a lot of evil people in this world, but not the russians. Russians are just saints.
It’s just much cheaper and faster to get it via pipelines from Russia to the EU than via LNG terminals through ships.
But obviously the downsides are huge politically.. in general it makes no sense that the historical close EU countries and the US don’t have strong trade.
It’s almost impossible to buy any US products in the EU.
good point.
we could probably set up a steady shipment. jobs
They will buy our food once we remove the toxic ingredients.
Russian oil and natural gas goes to Europe via pipelines.
On the other hand, oil and natural gas from the US must be transported to ports, stored, loaded onto the ships and then ferried 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean before it even reaches European ports then off-loaded into storage tanks before being transported by trucks to the various destinations where it’s offloaded into storage again before being shipped to the final destination!
Probably at no time in modern history has there been a World leader that both holds ALL the cards, AND knows EXACTLY how to play them.
Any resistancevis ultimately futile, they can oiss and moan all they want, it will make no difference.
The EU is about to experience payback, and its not going to be pretty.
They better not oiss at me or I’ll oiss right back at them.
Perzactly and the EU ain’t gonna be the only one.
Prepare for a
Huge Winning Streak
It’s going to be Great

Yes it is.
He has to make it “way” past Jan. 20th/2025. Safety Blessings on all of PJDT’S family and True friends.
AMEN
Gospodi Pomiluj!
Yea. The EU has the biggest thorn in our side than any other country.
fusion centers and GCHQ
I am grateful that Trump is such a shrewd businessman. Looking at his approach vs the presidents before him show how stupid they were. They all trusted economic “experts” to craft policy bc they didn’t understand the dynamics or fundamentals.
Moreover, we greatly increase the likelihood that in the future we will select people with business prowess, economic knowledge and understanding, and common sense to be our leaders.
Wish it was stupidity but it wasn’t. The gutting of western economies and American wealth was 100% intentional. They want to weaken the west & strengthen Goddless China. They want China to rule the NWO.
Period
Because the U.S. has the best gov’t money can buy, and they don’t care where the money comes from!
They’re not stupid. They’re corrupt. They don’t want to help you so they spend no time thinking about how to make your life better. If they think about you at all it’s to think about how to screw you over.
Perfect example of what you said was this headline from the Epoch Times today:
“Governors, Attorneys General (from at LEAST 5 states) Roll Out Plans to Contest Trump Admin’s Policies”
But they’re all set to push back against them.
That’s all you need to know about the Democrats.
And Rinos!
I’ve always wanted a Leica rangefinder.
Beautiful little jewel of a camera.
I can’t wait until the price drops as the Euro plunges!
🤣🤑🇺🇸MAGA
Exactly!
And I am going to buy more popcorn 🍿 and
enjoy the EU meltdowns.🫠🫠
After listening for the last four years their
trash talking…and the trash talking of President Trump…
I will be enjoying it to the Max.
We can appoint Nigel Farage as Unofficial Emissary to the failing Starmer govt. Lost 50% of its support since election. Nigel would LOVE IT!
Don’t be so pessimistic — it’s gonna be beautiful!
You get an exactemundo.
And the globalist Marxist’s set themselves up for their own defeat.
Mark elias is running around like he is going to have no problems but lawfare for the democrat machine.
The EU is the whore of Babylon.
For a bit, I thought we were-not anymore.
The EU is far out there in carbon credits that we could be. The whore must be laid… down.
Double dipping elite.
Human-caused “climate change” (formerly “global warming” before temperatures dropped) is the second greatest fraud in the history of science. So-called “carbon credits” and “carbon taxes” are a big part of this massive scam.
I work in the Automotive Industry & just returned home from an Industry conference where several of the speakers obviously have no clue what the impact of Trump’s re-election has on their plans for green & alternative fuels. One admitted to me (after his presentation) that they will need legislation to make them viable.
I. e. … Subsidies. None of the guys would survive without our subsidies.
NO SUBSIDIES!!!
And I’m being polite with my language!
Actually, it’s neither. And it’s really simple what she represents:
IMHO the “Whore of Babylon” crosses international boundaries.
It is a corrupt, power-seeking mindset that has been driving men and women across all cultures for centuries to aggregate wealth and resources by any & all means possible, and use them to gain increasingly unchallengeable control of nations to lock in the ruling elites’ domination indefinitely. The U.S. is as guilty of sharing that “whore” mindset as has the EU, middle eastern nations, and many far eastern nations, including communist China.
A woman in prophecy always represents the church. If she is a virgin, she is he true church, so a prostitute represents a false church. Yes, this false church crosses international boundaries, but she is also sitting on “seven hills” and is a “great city.”
Babylon is regularly used in the Bible as an evil contrast to God’s righteousness, but the “mentality” of Babylon being applied to the USA or other countries distracts from the simplicity of her true fulfillment. You should watch the video above…
Can we get a time machine and swap her out for Ursula Andress?
That Ursula couldn’t be any worse on policy and was much easier on the eyes.
Dr No baby!
Coming out of the water.
👀 👀 🤪 🤪 🤪 🤪 🤪
“Honey Ryder”
😎
LOL….
I would suggest that we all record what we are paying for gasoline/natural gas/propane/fuel oil now, and a year from now we’ll compare notes to see where we are.
We might even be able to use that to poke the leftists in the eye a little bit.
Those dimwits would not even recognize that they are being poked. They would just try to convince you that it really is better for everyone to pay more for energy.
I did on J6 , 2020. Fuel at the corner station was $1.35/gallon. I suspect that if everyone did the same MAGA could have simple run with signs that said: “when Trump left office gas at this station was $x. Today it’s 60% more. THAT’s real inflation”.
One edit for Sundance:
Biden increased LNG exports and drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as part of his anti-Russia strategy.
should read———
Biden increased LNG exports and drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as part of his ANTI-AMERICAN strategy.
He stressed the domestic market deliberately. Remember, we were to experience a cold deadly winter.
sidn’t that reserve get sold offshore ? like the xicoms ? i forget ? …
He he he he he.
America 🇺🇸 FIRST, indeed.
Stick it to them all!
And cut or eliminate ALL foreign aid.
The parasites lose their gravy train and We the People increase our standard of living.
Agreed, and in reality we don’t need to stick it to them, just force them to trade fairly instead of freely.
It was great to see the Mayor of NYC halt all food stamps to illegals today
Trump’s Agenda 47 calls for limiting foreign aid and spending that money to deal with the homeless problem. It’s what everyone wants except the uniparty. He needs to keep in campaign mode and give updates and progress reports and let the country know who is opposing him and how.
The Uniparty is opposed because no foreign aid means no kickbacks.
You got that right! No “free vacation” junkets!
BINGO!!! WINNER, WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!
Total moratorium on All Foreign aid.
We have severe problems here at home,
not just dealing with homelessness….but
also tremendous debt, NC and Helene victims,
crumbling infrastructure, cost of getting
illegals out. Once that is done…maybe lift
the moratorium….but very limited small amount
to countries who have natural disasters, etc
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 America First 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Foreign aid is the mechanism for their 10% “processing “ fee/skim takes place.
It would be great to have a Sunday night chat with the POTUS, perhaps monthly, and as you say people being outed for none compliance with things that benefit America, and American people.
PERFECT!!’
I’d rather President Trump get to work. We don’t need a monthly hold our hands feelz fest. We’re big kids now.
We will see the fruits of President Trump’s labor almost immediately.
Absolutely! When these politicians, who think business will continue as usual for them, start to cause trouble for President Trump, he needs to let the The American People know, and I’ll bet there will be a lot of them backing off.
I saw a comment on CTH today where someone said they had been a delegate at an Oklahoma GOP Convention. Rep. Langford hosted a room with refreshments and ensconced himself there to chat. The commenter said that a group of delegates cornered him and told him how angry they were about some of the stuff he’d been doing. They said he took off as fast as he could get out of there and didn’t come back for the rest of the convention.
Next time you see a campaign picture of him wearing his military uniform, remember that!
As I understood his announcement, it doesn’t actually stop today… it just won’t be renewed. How much longer does it run?
I’m not sure
Now, keep an eye on rampaging illegals, just in time for January 20!
Or at least stick it to any country refusing to accept the return of the illegal immigrants they foisted on us.
von der Leyen is a failed German MP/Minister and she is continuing to fail in her EU role. So all good for the US.
Also a WEF puppet that lined her pockets during Cojona, got called out for it and still retained her position. Says enough about the EU state of affairs. The pork there is truly off the handle and of course, at the tax payers expense.
I’d better stop here, got a beautiful day ahead of me:)
That was a “cover your ass” speech
And, in the process, kiss BRICS goodbye. Even Putin hinted at it when he voiced his stong approval of settlements only in dollars. Oh, it will limp along, a vestigial anachronism of the failed globalist assault on America, a smashed pumpkin still sitting by the road in January.
Right? Trump has done beat them all and hasn’t even been sworn in yet.
Don’t you just love winning?
.
In two days!
.
I LOVE winning, BK. I also take a perverse pleasure in watching the meltdowns on the left. It’s mean, I know, but I can’t help it.
Hey, I’m right with you, but I have a little bit of a mean streak when it comes to injustices on me and mine.
And We the People is included on ‘mine.’
Neither can I. Might as well enjoy it. It’s been four years coming.
I’d like to see analysis on that.
BRICS might be a parallel system set up specifically to endure United States economic warfare.
Did he? Where can I read that?
IIRC, it was on ZH or TGP earlier today or yesterday.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/boom-that-was-quick-vladimir-putin-says-russia/
I love your pumpkin analogy!!
Odd considering he just hosted an expansion summit ten days before the U.S. election.
Uh ohhhhh, Daddy’s home!!
Dad’s not quite home yet, but they all see his car coming up the street and know they have only a few minutes to get all the party mess out of the house.
I’m concerned these policies would be undermined by a hostile Fed Reserve. Powell just said that he would not accept a less than 2% inflation target. Basically saying that they will not permit prices to come down, all while simultaneously saying he will not accept a pink slip from Trump.
that will have to be addressed also.
the ability to print and sell money is insanity.
Sundance, you’re fundamentally wrong. Subsuface minerals belong to the surface owner unless the mineral interests are severed. Private property ownership of oil and gas has ALWAYS been the backbone of commercial development.
Where the land is owned by the federal government, then generally the oil and gas underneath it are also the nation’s property, as you describe. But that’s not because of national ownership — it’s because the nation is the owner of the surface land.
Most countries in the world (Mexico, for instance) have a legal doctrine that everything underneath the surface belongs to the sovereign. This socialist philosophy promotes underdevelopment and waste.
We are not socialists.
Annoying contrarian. The ability to extract minerals is under govt control. Be it permitting, licensing, taxes or fees, the extracting entity cannot exist without the approval of government.
I say drill baby drill!
So, let’s have PJDT (when he gets there) remove the ‘necessity’ of that ‘approval’.
That is true, but it does not alter the fact that Jim’s statement is also true.
That’s true of every business, even the shop on the corner or my friend who sells cheese snacks on Etsy. I don’t hear you advocating for forcing the Europeans to buy salt water taffy. Get government out of the way and let the market work.

We are down under! God knows they need all the help they can get.
Remember, they are all stuck on an island without a second amendment, or a first from what I can tell.
Don’t worry, your pity is not needed. Australia’s size is 82% the size of the USA, and the 6th largest country in the world. There’s plenty of room for 26 million population.
Countries ranking (land plus lakes, rivers etc). In sq. Km.
1.Russia 17,098,242,
2. Canada 9,984,670;
3. China 9,706,961;
4. USA 9,372,610;
5. Brazil 8,515,767;
6. Australia 7,692,024;
7. India 3,287,590;
8. Argentina 2,780,400; etc.
And we have communists and AINO’s (Australians In Name Only) in both major parties supposedly running ‘our gubbamint’.
And the Australian Dictatorship is busy destroying the 6th largest country in the world.
No First Amendment
I hope President Trump refuses to deal with the 2 communist members of the AUKUS Agreement until they restore basic Human Rights.
And he kicks the crap out of everything UN!
Who are they?
A is Australia and UK is UK.
US is USA of course.
A and UK are run by communists.
Much like the USA bureaucracy in DC and most American States.
Good if they want our LNG. BUT make the bastards PAY. They were prepared to pay Russia.
And DRILL BABY DRILL!
Ursula- The future of Europe is in our hands
Hungary, Poland, Scandanavia- Don’t think so
PDJT- Right after NATO gets 2%, now about those tariffs…
Big smiles for everyone.
If Biden didn’t blow up the pipeline all would be different. Oh ya, it was Ukraine who did it. LMAO!
I sure hope it’s a new Trump presidency, different from 45. Let’s get real and honest with the 47th.
Sorry Rob! President Trump45 was always real and honest!! Just thwarted by hiding communists and Rinos.
President von der Leyden, you have absolutely no leverage against the real President Trump. In the realm of deal making, you are pitifully out of your depth.
The oil and gas producers own the product, it is not ours, but oil and gas produced on federal land is obtained by the owners (the companies that explore, drill and produce the product) through bidding for the rights to explore, then they pay a minimum of $3.00 an acre which increases to $5.oo an acre after the 2nd year and by year 6 they pay $15.00 per acre PLUS a royalty payment to the federal govt. of $16.67% of whatever the producer is paid for their product (that royalty percentage will increase after the year 2032).
https://www.doi.gov/pressreleases/interior-department-finalizes-action-ensure-fair-return-taxpayers-strengthen
Oil and gas leases on State lands pay higher per acre lease fees and higher royalties.
Oil and gas leases on privately owned lands depends on what the owners and the exploration companies negotiate.
Am bringing this up because a very unique lawsuit was filed by the State of Utah against the federal government touching upon the language when the State of Utah, and other western States such as Nevada were created, the land currently being touted as ‘federal controlled land’ was never meant to be permanently under federal control but was meant to become State-owned lands – and that lawsuit seeks to obtain all lands not currently designated wilderness, forest service or lands needed for government purposes such as military bases.
https://senate.utah.gov/utah-files-landmark-lawsuit-challenging-federal-control-over-most-blm-land/
This topic is extremely important because the Silicon Valley people that have now surrounded the incoming President have this weird idea that they can take and use ‘federal land’ and build their smart cities and populate them and rule them with their own laws that are exempt from the laws of the States and counties their fancy new cities are situated in. Saw that almost happened here in Nevada during the pandemic. Just outside the Reno area, in neighboring Storey County, the deal included the new owners of the smart city they were going to build to even establish their own immigration laws in order to fly in their Chinese manufacturers. We were very lucky it got leaked to the press and the outrage was big enough the governor backed off.
Mentioning this because in a few of the recent rallies candidate Trump mentioned taking federal lands and building homes on the land.
Bad idea, and if it comes to that can only hope the Supreme Court actually steps up and agrees to hear Utah’s lawsuit.
The federal government has been land grabbing for decades. They don’t need it we do it needs to be sold and developed rich folks have always built enclaves they get board with them and move on but no they are not entitled to build their own countries
This is the heart of the lawsuit by the State of Utah – that land belongs to the State and it should be up to the State to determine its usage. They’ve done their homework in putting the lawsuit together.
The question is whether or not the Supreme Court has the guts to accept the case. And we do have to wonder since the last time such a large land issue went before the Supreme Court, didn’t the Court recently rule that most of Oklahoma belongs to the Indian Tribe that had been granted that land in a treaty with the US govt.?
Any land grab by the federal government to ‘build houses’ or any other thing will completely overturn 200+ years of natural resource laws in this land, gut the entire logging, mining and ranching industry to do what – build houses out in the middle of water-starved desert?
Does this sound a bit like the DisneyLand deal in Florida?
No; completely different set of laws. Natural Resource law is very different animal than real estate law.
Many decades ago, the federal government returned the lands they owned in the East to the eastern states, they need to do the same now with the western states. Return all the land to the states and let them administer it as they will. The most effective, will gain the most and the other states will follow. This is the very purpose of states’ rights. So let it be.
Yes.
WTF are we going to do about the digital dollar launch?
My instincts tell me Trump’s embrace of crypto-currencies has something to do with that issue.
Even if there is a digital dollar, I suspect the existence of independent/parallel currencies would significantly undermine the level of control it would be able to exercise.
How do these people speak on one side of their mouth that World War 3 with Russia is worth it, because Russia Russia Russia, while also bragging about currently buying their LNG from Enemy #1 instead of a possible better trade partner, America? (Btw, I thought Trump was a Putin pumpet?) Ursula, are we actually having this conversation? These contradictions & conflicts of interest are getting difficult to keep up with…
the power of the lie – theres your proof.
It is a big lie! Holland is atop a huge gas field and the North Sea oil and large gas fields in the UK are not being pursued by “socialist” regimes in Europe due to global warming!
Black gold, Texas tea
“Well, the first thing you know……..”
The predator class is about to see their fortunes change.
I prefer to call them Parasites myself. But I hope do hope so too!
All good. But LNG prices in the US are already below the level where producers can profit. There is more supply than there is demand. That is just a fact. I’m on the board of a small privately held royalty firm. We own mineral rights on 200 acres in the Midwest. Over the past 30 years we have paid double digit dividends to our 58 SH every year. In 2024, for the first time we missed two dividend payments and will payout about 7% for the year.
Lower prices may not be what the consumers see. But in many cases what producers are getting is not even close to covering operating prices.
Our producers flare 100% of the gas from our 4 oil wells. Not good for the environment and we and they would prefer to capture and sell it. But at current prices it can’t be done.
Well somebody’s doing something with natural gas because EPD and ET gas stocks have been soaring as of late and expected to still rise.
I wouldn’t say “soaring”, but certainly a steady rise. Mid Stream companies are good dividend companies & pipelines and facilities are always going to be needed. The only individual stocks we own, everything else is balanced ETF. Used to drive our financial advisors nuts that I refused to sell these. Had them for decades.
Me too on the ownership.
Not to be argumentative on the ‘soaring’ but those type stocks generally have very little movement and when they do, not to the type scale as have been seen over the last 1-2 years.
I’m glad you replied. I gave some more thought to your insights about operating costs last night and came up with a thought about that:
Is it possible that those elevated costs affecting profit margins are due to an increase in elevated lease, regulatory and lobbying costs during the Biden Administration which would directly impact operating costs overall?
If so, the elimination of some and reduction of others would drive those costs down thereby raising the margins and creating that cash flow to maintain the royalties and dividends.
Just a thought.
.
LNG prices in the US are already below the level where producers can profit… what producers are getting is not even close to covering operating prices.
I would appreciate your explaining to me why this is; I don’t understand.
.
We increased the supply while FJB reduced the demand by stopping the ability to ship product to the EU. The natural result of increased supply and reduced demand is lower prices.
Problem is largely transport. Pipelines to places that refuse to allow them to be built + LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) can’t be shipped from the Gulf Coast to places in the US that buy it from other countries because of an old law called the Jones Act that requires only US made ships that ship from US ports to another U.S. port. Massachusetts imports LNG from the Mid East instead of Texas – and pays a lot more for it.
Ursula is busting a move like others because she wants to survive the MAGA steam roller movng towards her.
These people respond like chickens being fed chicken feed.
😳
Budapest looks nice.
Blowing up a pipeline has consequences
Such a mess, caused by the failed US policies of the past half century.
We have given great concessions to Europe, but it was in an attempt to control them for our own benefit. We fund and supply weapons and personnel to NATO, but that has been as a way to keep the US involved in Europe and Europe dependent on the US.
And the EU followed Biden’s disastrous Ukrainian adventures, supplying weapons and funding needed by their own citizens, by their own economies. Biden even got the Nordstream Pipeline destroyed to the benefit of the US selling LNG to Europe and no European country dared to whisper any hint of knowledge that this was the US. Destroying Germany’s manufacturing and putting Germany in a recession.
It’s time that the US gets out of Europe. Ursula is the most disgusting unhuman….daughter of a Nazi sympathizer (if not worse), a gynecologist who is way out of her field, another unelected grifter who devised some of the most harsh sanctions against Russia – planned in September, 2021 – note that was before the leaders of the Donbass begged Russia for help against impending invasion by neo-Nazi Ukrainian militias.
Exactly!
Seems like your feelings towards
Ursula Von daLying mirror mine.
👍 👍
We need to pull our troops and move them to Poland.
You really think it is a good idea to put more US troops on the border of Russia?
We need to pull our troops and bring them to the US.
Ursula looks like a silly mouse next to our lion, Trump. All the EU beta males combined won’t be able to deal with Trump 2.0. He is going to make us so proud. I can’t wait for the pics from the first summit!
“Russia is blocked from selling gas (or LNG) into the broader western global market.”
Russia continues selling oil and gas to the EU through India and Turkey. It costs the EU a lot more than it did before our government blew up Nordstream, in additional trans oceanic transport and mark ups from India and Turkey.
Russia is also improving rail and pipelines directly overland to China. This avoids the risk of depending on sea lanes that can be closed or threatened by US fleets and our NATO flunkies.
Aside from being heavily vested in the disasterous NATO/US rape the Ukraine for its’ resources project, Germany is systematically de-industrializing and de-energizing its’ economy.
Not sure what they will produce to export and trade with us, or the volume of gas and oil they can afford, going forward.
We already export a massive amount of our inflation through the current international use of the US Dollar for trade.
Be interesting to see how BRICS evolves and what percentage of market share in global trade it replaces from our Dollar.
She thought she’d be ordering us to eat the bugs, and instead finds herself bugging us to continue subsidizing the Fourth Reich.
Life comes at you fast.
oh, she’s a pig
A new morning in America.
The Green Suicide is ending.
Along with thanks for our next President, I’m grateful for Sundance’s analysis of events, as well as for the camaraderie here.
I’ve been saying it on this site since 2015. I sincerely hope that someone in DJT’s near orbit is reading this site, and relaying the information found here directly, even indirectly to 47. Hell, I’ll even settle for Susie at this point. 🤞
The election of President Trump has in and of itself begun ending the intentional stranglehold of Biden’s cost push inflation on Americans as caused by forcing higher energy costs. The Cloward-Piven strategy to overwhelm the system (obama’s fundamental transformation of America) will soon be placed on the back burner, democRATS will of course do everything they can to pull it to the fore again.
We are truly blessed to have a successful business man as our President Elect. Those who own small businesses will totally understand. Looking back over my spread sheets I can see how and when my studio was affected. Please Lord, continue to bless and guide DJT to accomplish all You wish him to do.
Biden is gone and America is in.
That’s what is going on.
Funny how it works.
Life is good.
God Is Great!!! Praise God!!!
As the 2000 Year-Old Man would say, she’s a Narzi.
Im predicting that once PDJT energy policies succeed in driving down manufacturing, transportstion, farming and ultimately grocery and goods costs you will see seismic shifts in government in Europe and Australia. Once the people realise they were being sacrificed at the altar of “climate change” there will be political reckonings fot Macchiavellian, aristocratic bastards and their dullard counterparts in Oz and the UK. The pain was inflicted intentiknally.
Much like now the media will do all it can to cover it up but people see their pocket books.
This is what offal like Van der Leyen fear.
There has been a seismic shift in Europe’s population,if there are to be reckonings they won’t be political in nature.
In all my years of being aware of politics (starting when I was 10 and watched Wm. F. Buckley call Gore Vidal a queer and threaten to sock him in the nose on national TV)
I have never seen any spending bill boondoggle passed by the Dimms ever Repealed by the Rinos.
Not one.
Not Obamacare, nothing.
If the Reps think they have control, they better show it this time, and repeal the Green New Deal Inflation Reduction Act, and the Biden ( Green) Infrastructure Act.
No Excuses.
Repeal them both NOW.
Especially the GreenRaw Deal IRA.
We will see if the Republicans in Congress possess the will to do so in the near future.
I do not have much of an expectation of that having glimpsed some of the depths of that sewer of DC in the last 8+ years. Though, a pleasant surprise would be welcomed.
Truth is, that dynamic is generational and unlikely to change any quicker then it took to be cemented in place. The Uniparty will not go down without a fight.
Sundance is spot on with this analysis. For context, the price of residential nat gas in the US has risen almost 50% in the past 4 years, while the spot price is down about 60% since late 2022.
As always, thank you Sundance for the explanation.
Over 11,000 Republican ballots in Arizona need to be “cured”. (The voter needs to contact the state to confirm their identity)
This may be the difference between Kari Lake becoming a US Senator or not.
To learn how you can help, go here. https://www.tpaction.com/Cure
Sorry for the OT, but this is vital.
Thanks, Sundance, for this outstanding analysis and explanation.
Speaking of LNG, President Trump has said he wants to move feral agencies out of DC.
I would like to see him move EPA to Alaska. Let them live and work there without LNG for heat, cooking or drying their clothes.
No coal either. Let them do everything with firewood. And electric chainsaws.
They can haul it in their electric vehicles.
Explained: please don’t tariff us.
