UPDATE: We will continue bumping this thread to keep the communication lines available.
...”I live in the Western part of the US; reading these comments is like listening in on a (telephone) party line. This is the first I’ve heard firsthand live reports from the people directly affected. For the first time there is no canned, approved spoon fed mis-information delivered by the faceless and unaffected paid to be there.”….
Which is exactly the reason we keep this thread going!
As the areas in Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina and the Western gulf coast of Florida continue recovery operations from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, our thoughts are with those who are still impacted and dealing with the long-term recovery process.
If you have stability and the ability to communicate, we are wondering how you guys are doing.

Working with several ground groups, we have sent toolboxes and resources into the area for the arduous tasks that remain. There are many who feel overwhelmed; just know our thoughts and deepest prayers remain with you. It will get a little better every day.
Resourceful teams (mostly electrical restoration experts) who learned quickly after they helped the Puerto Rico Mountain areas in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria are doing amazing work reaching some of the more isolated areas. These are good friends with a git-r-done approach.
Eastern Tennessee power has mostly returned; however, approximately 23,500 of the 1.5 million customers that lost power, just in the Western North Carolina area still lack electricity as of today, according to Poweroutage.us. Additionally, there are still about 365,000 Floridians without power.
The power restoration in the dense mountain forests of WNC is slow going, some roads and bridges are completely washed away. According to the Associated Press report, “The crews aren’t doing what they typically do, which is a repair effort. They’re rebuilding from the ground up,” said Kristie Aldridge, vice president of communications at North Carolina Electric Cooperatives {link}.
There are widespread rumors and disparate reports of the overall death toll, at last count was well over 200. Anecdotal reports from people in the WNC region put the death toll much higher but are difficult to confirm. We do not want to spread rumors, yet we simultaneously accept this close to the election there is an unfortunate incentive for both federal and state emergency management officials to keep the death toll numbers hidden.
The bottom line is a concern for everyone in the impact areas. Therefore, ground reports are the most valuable. How are y’all doing?
Dear God of grace and strength, in the midst of uncertainty, fear and change we turn to You for stability and strength. Please grant us the wisdom and fortitude to navigate the unknown, the courage to face challenges, and the faith to trust Your divine plan.
Heavenly Father, let Your unwavering presence be our anchor in the aftermath of these storms. Grant us the resilience to face the challenges of recovery with grace and hearts filled with purpose. May we continue to find, patience, stability and fellowship in Your eternal love.
Thank You for guiding us through these uncertain times. In Jesus blessed and loving name we pray. ~ Amen.

I just posted this, below, on the Prez Thread before I knew that this thread was still active:
FEMA has been the subject of many posts here during the last couple of days. I have been in contact, via phone calls and texts, with someone on the ground in North Carolina—a private-sector volunteer. This person is making deliveries to the folks in the mountains who have no transportation. He uses his truck, loaded with supplies. He told me that he regularly gets “turned around” by FEMA, meaning they will not let him pass on a mountain road on his way to deliver supplies. He knows how to get around their $#@%ery so it doesn’t stop him. Sometimes a delay though.
Two days ago, he texted me with an urgent need for waterproof rubber boots. (I was able to help with this which will be a separate post.) He gave me the specs. I had seven pair shipped yesterday and plans are in the works for more. When I told him they would be delivered Fed-X, he was so grateful and said that the minute they come in, he will deliver. He said, to be honest, some of the boots are going to volunteers, that they are having many health issues from working in the mud and water. The sludge eats through the soles of their footwear (we have heard this reported before). Also problems with skin on upper legs when they have to wade hip-deep. He wanted to leave it at that, but I pressed. Wish I had not! He said he personally knows of foot amputation(s?)—maybe more than one but I couldn’t process fast enough what he was saying. Of course, I have no way to verify this, but he was distraught. He also offered to provide me with photo/video proof of delivery of the boots when they arrive.
So, FEMA, what have YOU done to help those in the mountains? Their Trump signs (/sarc) were washed away so why didn’t you stop?
This is an environmental disaster area. Is there any federal help with that? Have I missed the news? I hope that I have.
Bless you for sharing that in both places CC 🙂
I’ve been trying to find opportunities to post about this subject in the other threads. So much going on!
You probably posted this elsewhere but … where did you buy the boots? Sizes? What’s the shipping address, etc.? Thank you.
Fionnagh, so glad you asked as I want to share my experience.
After I received the text that they had an urgent need for rubber waterproof boots, I went to town and randomly stopped at the first footwear retailer that I saw. Happened to be Shoe Sensation and I cannot say enough good things about them! Here is my Reader’s Digest version of events.
ME: Hi, I’m looking for waterproof rubber boots. Need to be ON SALE because it’s for charity . . . blah blah
CLERK: Shows me some boots.
ME: No, these are not heavy enough. Here is what it’s for and why they need to be heavy . . . I then showed her the text messages on my phone and the FaceBook link of the relief effort (even though I’m not on FB). Gave her the whole story.
ME: By the way, does your store ever do anything for good causes? Does your company have a budget that allows for contributions and such? Would you be able to give me a discount?
CLERK: Yes, sometimes we do. We just did a back-to-school with some local groups who contributed. My manager not here right now but I will check.
ME: Here’s my number. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
One hour later, clerk texts me to come back to the store, THEY CAN HELP!!!
Big sale with plenty at their warehouse and they will give me ADDITIONAL discount for charity. Had only one pair to show me so that I could see quality. They were so heavy and nice, super thick tread–much heavier than my expensive muck boots that I wear in winter at the ranch. Very impressive. I was so excited, so she let me take one boot out of the store to leave and show to some other people I know. LOL! I got a couple of other people to go in with me, took the sample boot back to the store and ordered seven pairs to be shipped direct to NC. The clerk was so taken with the story of the relief effort in the Appalachian Mountains–keep in mind that, sadly, this is not in the news anywhere–that she took cash out of her own wallet and bought one additional pair “from the store” to include in our order. So the total was actually eight pairs of boots. We chose one of every size, plus she told me the two most common sizes that sold for men and we added one more each of those sizes.
They placed the order for all eight pairs to their warehouse. Manager had to help with proper codes, etc., for all the discounts and correct pricing. Took a while. It was FREE Fed-X shipping and NO TAX. My cost roughly $16 per pair, and these boots could easily have been worth $69-$79 or more a pair (I honestly don’t even know). They were so heavy.
I took a photo of the clerk and manager with the store name prominently displayed behind them and told them I would give them credit (even though they did not ask). I then sent the photo to the recipient with the message,
“(my city, state) has not forgotten!” He said that when he gets the boots, he will send me confirmation and that he will put that photo on his FB page with a big thank you, acknowledging the store. We shall see.
Soooo . . . what I hope will happen is that I can place another order with them this week when I get more organized. I was completely unprepared for how this unfolded on Friday. The store said that they would check with some of their other local places that contribute to their charities to see if any funds were left over from the back-to-school event. If so, ask if they would want to help with the next order? Oh. My. Gosh.
All I did was stop and go in the first shoe store I saw . . . and this is what happened! Sorry, this did not end up as a Reader’s Digest version of events. I get wordy. I’m just so excited to give details about the good and generous nature of normal citizens and businesses, everyone wanting to do something to help.
And honestly, it was so easy! All I did was ask. I’m quite sure it is not always this way, but maybe this is a sign for me to continue. I’ve prayed about some things recently. Has me thinking . . .
The recipient is one of the many that Harrison has posted on this thread. I’ll have to go back and find it. Will repost the info here. The reason I use this method for donations is that my household doesn’t use any form of online payments or donations. An Amazon shipment, sure thing! But no PayPal, no GoFundMe, nothing. That would be easier for sure, but it is against our rules. So I have to do things the hard way.
Fionnagh, his name is Andy. He answers the phone. The original post is on page 10. Here ya go:
Printed out your incredible story. Thank you for allowing me to piggy-back on your efforts. Grieves me I cannot do more, but doing something surely beats ignoring what happened 2200 miles away and 41 days ago.
We have a voice which is powerful and can be very helpful. I was reminded of that on Friday. My voice was the impetus. Eight pairs of boots were shipped versus the two or three pairs that I had planned to send due to cost.
:'(
Naw, there wasn’t a need for IMMEDIATE deployment of military SAR teams and helicopters after the hurricane that I repeatedly called for. Nope, no reason at all ://
No words. Cold anger.
No words.
16…
Since my attempt to directly post the info in the right image, here is another try…
Two days ago, I spent time in Western NC with Jason, a friend with a non-profit organization aiding victims of Helene, and Richard, a guy that’s been running supplies to the mountains since she’d hit. Richard is so dedicated to the cause he quit his job, left his family behind, and had been working non-stop on his own dime.
Many of the guys I met working rescue up there are prior military, all dedicating their time to serving their fellow neighbors. Many had similar stories of leaving their jobs and families to help the people of NC, which meant there were just as many mothers and children making a different and unsung kind of sacrifice. I felt so damn proud of every one of them.
Assessing the damage en route was hard to wrap my head around. We rode up there to deliver supplies and thankfully Richard knew his way around and who needed what.
We ran into a scenario I hadn’t considered prior to experiencing it. The folks we met in one especially wrecked town seemed to be very untrusting of us at first. Once they warmed up, they explained they’d been lied to and felt exploited and abandoned. Of course they’re don’t know who to trust!
There are thousands in need of help with finding shelter, seeing as winter is right around the corner. And there are many different organizations to give to if you can help! Don’t let the election news cycle bury the stories of desperate people in the mountains, so please share to keep them in the spotlight.
Pray for these folks.
Last week, during one of our supply runs to Swannonoa, NC, we met a young family that owns a restaurant that’d been hastily converted into a collection/distribution site after #helene destroyed much of their town. Just like I saw in every other town in western North Carolina we delivered supplies to, it was citizens helping citizens in makeshift relief stations and pop up canopy tents. Amid the devastation we saw, the unity and fortitude was a recurring and comforting theme.
Utilizing every square inch of the dining area of this particular restaurant, shelves and tables were set up to better organize supplies coming in. One of the owners, a woman wearing oversized sweatpants and a messy bun, looked exhausted but resolute, working quickly to direct traffic and people in their cramped parking lot. I overheard her say they intended to use their diner to collect emergency supplies for her neighbors until they were able to reopen their business.
Thanks to Camping World in Marion, NC, a distribution site organized by @therealjasonseidel, we had a truck full of diapers, formula, propane, water, food, toiletries, blankets, and coats to deliver to this underserved community. The woman’s little blonde-headed daughter looked as tired as her mama, as she led me to the shelves where the diapers, formula, and wipes went.
As we were about to leave, she motioned for us to follow her to a table with a handmade quilt spread out over it, inviting us to sign our names as donors. They had intentions of hanging the quilt on the wall when they reopened, as a reminder of those who helped them recover.
It was a brief but impactful encounter with strangers showing nothing but love to strangers, and I’m so thankful to have witnessed it firsthand.
NC child coat donation effort for winter coats.

This is a good site for me to use because it has an Amazon list. We don’t make financial donations online–household rule.
I don ‘t know anything about this news channel that goes by CONSCIOUS JOOSE, but I got this link in a text from the same folks who put out the urgent call for waterproof, rubber, tall boots.
https://www.facebook.com/reel/349683188205962
Should have also said this is a very short video about the toxic mud and environment in NC. It is a warning.
This prompts me to reply. Superstorm Sandy hit my area in 2012 and many families were displaced for months. My heart goes out to everybody there. I donated to Samaritan’s purse in an effort to help.
Now, about that mud.. I remember the horrible odor that hung in the air in 2012 after Sandy. There were noxious chemical spills, everything from flooded garages to oil tanks floating away, boats, cars and other debris strewn about. It was awful, and I was diagnosed with asthma after that.
I also know first responders who had contracted COPD from breathing in the 9/11 air. One of them, a fireman, wound up on a ventilator during Covid, but thankfully he recovered.
So please, survivors and volunteers alike, take steps to protect yourselves from these debilitating health risks.
Very short video, about one minute, life after Helene, living out of their car at a hub. They are from Canton. Talks about FEMA, red tape, current situation. I couldn’t copy/paste the text that’s included, so have to click “see more” bottom right for additional info.

People like this veteran’s neighbor will burn in brimstone…
More info from his caregiver/niece:
“He is a US Army Veteran, name is David, but he goes by Short. Just before the storm, we realized that he was dealing w some cognitive issues and his neighbor had emptied his bank account of $46k. Because of that, he was at my home while he got back on track with his medication and self care. This meant that he was not home when the storm hit. I have no doubt that his life was saved because of this. In the past when they evacuated, he would not leave. His home was an older mobile home and he did not have insurance. There was over 8 feet of water and it is now destroyed.”
She also let me know that there is an open civil and criminal case against the neighbor.
God Bless this Veteran and his family. His EmergencyRV will be gifted to him and parked full time at his nieces home in Asheville, NC.
Help us with gas to get this RV to him and if you would like a donation to go directly to him please let us know in pay pal donation comments and we will deliver to him and update totals on this message upon delivery this week. I’ve also encouraged family to start a go fund me and will post in comments if they do.

Very brief view along one state road…
Heads up – East Tennessee. Fema intent to try to bend everyone over…
Appalachian friends from East Tennessee need to be aware of this, so if you (or anyone you know) was affected by Helene you can educate yourself.
At this point in the political game, and given FEMA’s consistent ability to f*ck things up (maliciously I might add) there is no reason for them to be involved moving forward, especially not until the next administration can take the reigns. Be vigilant, be educated, and under no circumstances let these demons seize your property or anything pertaining to your personal property!
FEMA Federal Rule Tennessee:
I humbly advise the new Trump administration to swiftly explore all of the FEMA federal regulations and possibly file an injunction to stop these immediate actions until the new administration is firmly secured into office on January 20, 2025.
This is the 50% rule in action specifically addressing mitigation, restoration or not.
The below FEMA Federal Register final public notice for the state of Tennessee declared floodplain areas impacted by hurricane Helene will now move forward with confiscating private property based on the below determinants. In effect for Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties.
FEMA will identify whether the action is subject to the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard (FFRMS). This is any action where FEMA funds are used for new construction, substantial improvement, or to address substantial damage to a structure or facility, and to all structure elevation, mitigation reconstruction, and dry floodproofing actions under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. If the action is subject to the FFRMS, FEMA will establish the FFRMS floodplain area and associated flood elevation by using the process specified in 44 C.F.R. § 9.7(c) and FEMA Policy: FFRMS (FP 206-24-005). For actions not subject to the FFRMS, FEMA will use the 1% annual chance (base or 100-year) floodplain and flood elevation for non-critical actions and the 0.2% annual chance (500-year) floodplain and flood elevation for critical actions.
Some of the activities for which FEMA provides financial assistance under the Public Assistance program and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program may affect historic properties. They may also be located in or affect wetland areas or the 100-year floodplain and may involve critical actions within the 500-year floodplain. In accordance with all requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), all federal actions must be reviewed and evaluated for feasible alternatives.
The gravy train runneth over in East Tennessee…FEMA is using the corrupt media to spread the word that the generous $750 being doled out by FEMA is a falsified amount…it is actually $770!!! An extra TWENTY DOLLARS! And they are BRAGGING about it! Words fail…
Whaaaat????? Are you kidding me? So glad you are still checking in on this thread.
They just reopened one lane of Interstate 26 between Exit 37 and 40 in Erwin (although Exit 40 is CLOSED)…you can now get a GOOD LOOK at the Industrial Park where Impact Plastics was located…the place where those women and one man drowned…still a horror show littered with HUGE PILES of debris (mainly inventory from nearby businesses). Absolutely horrifying.
FEMA Worker Fired For Ordering Workers to Skip Trump Houses Impacted by Hurricanes in Florida Says It’s Not “Isolated” – FEMA Workers Were Instructed to Do It in the Carolinas Too! (VIDEO)
Marn’i Washington on Tuesday said it is NOT an isolated incident and FEMA workers were instructed to skip over Trump houses in the Carolinas, too!

For those who are trying to divvy up donations, especially among the very small, lesser-known organizations, this one’s for you.
Treeper Right to Reply posted a 25 minute video of Lacey Washington on today’s Presidential Thread. Lacey went to NC to help out, saw the unbelievable devastation, and quit her job to volunteer full time. The video discusses her ongoing efforts and the enormous difficulties faced by not only the hurricane victims, but by the volunteers.
The mud is beyond toxic. Volunteers are infected with parasites, one woman got radiation burns after taking a shower.
I spoke with Lacey this morning, trying to ascertain what she specifically needs to keep the community going, and how we can get donations to her. Here is her contact info:
865-370-1649
[email protected]
VENMO: @Lacey-Montgmery-1
She does not yet have non-profit status. That means that monetary donations can’t be written off. Apparently the bureaucrats are stalling on approving ANY non-profit applications with regard to hurricane relief efforts.
I told her that because my income level hovers around the official poverty level, I can’t take tax write-offs anyway:) She has a lovely sense of humor and countered with, “You will never see me driving around in a Lamborghini!”
Salient points from the video:
10,000 people have died, not 200.
There is a “shelter,” possibly FEMA, with absolutely no one in the shelter. It is not manned by soldiers but private security guards who are armed with AK 47’s. Needless to say, the locals are frightened by their presence.
They have received no funds from any other organization, no funds from the charity concerts put on by celebrities.
This evening or tomorrow she will post a P.O. Box to which people might send checks. She will try to set up Zelle, right now it’s only Venmo.
She has an attorney and an accountant working on pushing through the non-profit status. It is incredibly important to her that people know the efforts being made are legitimate. She has used up her entire savings to keep people going.
She will post specific wants and needs of the people in that community and surrounding area. And yes, I need to confirm where that info will be posted, and then will drop it here. Info to include sizes and makes of waterproof boots.
If you’ve made it this far, please watch that video. Put aside all else and just watch. Or as Sundance has reminded his readers, “Do not look away.”
Thank you, Fionnagh!
You are welcome. Just a p.s. – done posting here. Have all the info I’ll need to continue sending what I can to TN and NC. Extending my thanks again to you and Harrison for your amazing efforts.
Grains of salt…
Covered the FEMA camps 2? weeks ago…they aren’t for the people and a huge waste of many millions (one vid was by Vandersteel).
The money raised by “that person” went to Samaritan’s Purse, who has been more active than other single group.
The concert money went to groups – don’t remember which, only remember wasn’t thrilled about some choices.
Your response made me think twice. Was that the intent?
Intent was to remind everyone of previous validated information and that a grain of salt is always good to use with information from people one doesn’t know 🙂
Thanksgiving feast for 5000.
This feast for +5k is to share Thanksgiving with survivors of Hurricane Helene. It will also mark exactly 2 months since Helene + what exists in the aftermath. Despite destruction & a trail of despair, faith is on the menu this Thanksgiving! Volunteers from across the country…

What about Appalachia, Mr. Trump?
Wonder what it would cost to make Appalachia ‘whole’ again, so to speak? 1 billion? 10 Billion? 100 billion? I’m talking infrastructure, as you can’t put a value on a human life. What do YOU think???
$61 Billion was funded for fiscal year 2023, for the entirety of the U.S. Not sure how the total is divided among states. It may be encouraging to see who President Trump will nominate for Buttigieg’s job?
Think it would be less than what has been spent on the Dems’ pet illegal aliens or sent through the Ukrainian money laundering operation.
To Nearly Drowned in Erwin and anyone from that area . . .
If you or anyone you know in Erwin area has a special request or need, please call Andy at 704-472-3704. He is a relief worker in NC and will be going to Erwin tomorrow, Nov. 14, (and probably another run after that as well). He will take supplies and/or try to accommodate any special requests. He can get around.
Andy has my personal number because I have been working with him to get multiple pairs of waterproof boots delivered from Shoe Sensation. He asked me to put out the word about Erwin.
Real estate agents should be reaching out to people who have been displaced by the Flood. If you have properties bordering the flood zone, try to prioritize flood victims, if possible.
…so now Florida is suing FEMA…what about Tennessee? Or North Carolina? Oh, wait…the Governor of NC is a DEMOCRAT. So what is Tennesse’s excuse?
Last night got a text with ten photos/videos from Andy. As you are painfully aware, devastation. He said that Erwin has mostly moved to the rebuilding stage and that their needs have shifted to lumber, construction materials, etc. He said that most families still in need of basics are being taken care of by churches and other locals. Andy is two hours from Erwin, but he is connected to other relief efforts (which apparently gave him the reports).
You are there. What say you?
The Dem’s administration intentionally refused to help anywhere they thought there were PDJT voters, including NC and TN. They should be charged with negligent homicide for their actions…
Someone else tries to get information on the “FEMA Camps” – and are told no reporting allowed and a number given to call. At the same time what they do say is telling…
This looks like the same camp that Vandersteel visited several weeks ago.
That place is huge. Looks like a prison camp. What in the actual H 3 L L is going on? So it’s for emergency personnel? Did I get that right? So . . . are they already there? Or planning to come soon? It looks very threatening.
Nice work by the people…
Actual news coverage…
No words I can say…
They give everything to illegal aliens, luxury living – but an American citizen and her child without “proof” – nothing.
Western NC still has medical needs. We cannot forget these folks. Time moves on but the recovery continues. As Mitchell and Yancey counties continue to recover from Hurricane Helene the is still a need for volunteers at the Burnsville Relief Clinic (open 9a-5p at the Burnsville VFD).
Every day we are seeing 10-20 patients who cannot get into see their regular physician or are out of town volunteers needing care.
We are led by healthcare providers who have deep roots in our community. Amanda Howell Watts, Lauren Cross, Matthew Ray, Alyssa Tilly, Carol Tyner, and Barron Bryant
We have had over 200 amazing volunteers to date coming from as far away as California.
Please consider coming up for a day or two to support our local community.

WNC is not ok….*warning “ long post* So our team is doing incredible work, since we hit the ground at the beginning we have either helped with organizing supply drops by Helo, organizing or donating tiny homes, RVs and Campers rescuing families that have lost everything and focused on keeping the children safe from bad actors! We have 3 single moms that we have in a safe location with children (some moms being threatened to have children taken away) and we sat with a mom yesterday who shared with us her story and it is insane! She spent 10 hours digging her daughter out of a mudslide and then had to dig her other two out at the bottom of a hill as she had to scream their names not knowing where they were and thought she lost them. The stories are endless, so much pain, loss, suffering. Our teams are tired, but pressing forward and like the families that don’t see a future, we are helping to provide a future but we need help, we don’t know what the future looks like either, but we are giving God our yes! Here we are send us! Along with the single moms, we have a pregnant women and her fiancé coming and they lost everything and as a man who is supposed to provide he is scared for providing for his family for when the baby comes. Where do they go? We have them, but going to need help! We also have a family that was told even though they got a camper donated their family is too big for the camper (7 people total) DSS told them that it isn’t a livable space for that many people we agree too, so we are taking them in too so DSS can’t take them. Guys I don’t think people can grasp what is happening. If you want to help, message us here or if you want to help go to our website. We aren’t on here much because we are out working, but can be reached through our website through donations or anything you want we may do some go fund me or something for the families so people can adopt! Our teams are doing good work! Keep helping us help others!! We are especially grateful for the amazing people we have met along the way! Support these people too! @molsjames is killing it on the ground as well!

Our biggest project now is getting families housing and we are going to begin building connex container homes for people see below! If you want to give towards that or know someone that wants to help let me know!
Harrison, your persistence just got them a donation. Will do on a recurring basis.
Fellow treepers, I didn’t realize that before HH, their focus was on ending human trafficking; both causes are close to my heart. For now, the focus is entirely on getting people properly and safely sheltered before winter — and to keep kids with their parents.

Here’s a progress report for #WNC for this week:
1. We worked with @JudgesRescue to help treat a mom and facilitate her getting into a home
2. Coordinated the purchase/donation of 10 RV’s that are going to homes
3. Got the land of 5 people cleared with the help of @ICONLV and Blake
4. Sourced rolloff dumpsters for #3–current price gouging has them going for $25k/week. We got 5 of them for a month for $3000
5. Partnered with Jason Hatfield doing SAR work in BatCave and built relationships there for ongoing support.
6. Traveled thru West Yancey–got a hug from Melvin the Mountain man (got a littel handsy, if I’m being honest. LOL) and will be coordinating a deep freeze for them to store meat and distribute to their community.
7. Working with @CoreySchonhors1 and our nonprofit, @Starlight_Init to develop a community plan including land development, mobile/home building and relocation for folks who lost their properties.

The govt can’t regulate People Helping People!
You’ve seen tweets from Casey throughout this, as she organizes multiple teams getting help to people deep in the mountains. Trustworthy and hard working (all day, every day since Helene just about).
Prayers for all God’s people is always good!

Ack…dropped a number.
Patriot Survival Tactical Team, Ralph, ( @The_Captain1968 ) says that they have requested shipping containers for food storage and have been ignored by several agencies that they’ve reached out to.
He says he has submitted testimony and is awaiting to testify for lack of logistical coordination and maleficence.
These guys are still on the ground helping throughout North Carolina from the Hurricane Helene disaster and they need more eyes on the help they are providing; they need your assistance.
Ralph says, “we are here for the long haul. We will be with you, we will fight for you, we will fight for you on the grounds here and in DC.”
Ralph states that they are coordinating tiny homes to be delivered but still running into issues. He is requesting immediate assistance and help. I have tagged him in this post, as well
This will give an idea of the destructive force of some of the landslides as they pushed trees down the slopes and into objects, including houses like the one in the video.
The husband in the video…hilarious. He USED to think BUD/S was tough…
The Howard family just donated their families unreal motor home to @EmergencyRv. My daughter Luna and I asked the Howard family why they decided to make such a generous donation. If you need some spiritual inspiration, great marital advice and a good laugh listen to this retired US Navy Seal and his wife in the video. God bless the Howards!
@EmergencyRV is delivering an average of 1 RV every day to WNC #helene survivor families. If you have an RV, in good working order, contact us and we will come pick it up and deliver or you can deliver it directly to a family who needs shelter. If you want to support our work, donate funds for transport and help us stock RVs with supplies for survivor families then help us. We are all volunteers and miracles are happening here:

For some reason I thought the Mountain Mule Packers had returned home. So glad there is a phone # listed. It’s a different number than the one shown in the internet searches. I plan to call them to see if I can send a check in the mail.
There was someone that posted maybe one time in the Helene threads that made that comment to a post of mine about them – which the next day I called out with information showing they had not. I suspect you saw their comment and missed mine – but no, they have maintained teams in the area throughout, continuing to reach areas nobody else does.
Petty family organization organizing Christmas actions as well.
The answer, in a word, is Democrats…
You used a nice word with no adjectives. I commend you.
Sometimes I just don’t know what comes over me… 🙂

Thousands of miles to help…
This kind and happy soul, Jack Jennings, drove his camper 800 miles from New Hampshire to Asheville to donate it to folks in need. When he heard that we had another camper available, but no one to transport it here, he jumped back in his truck and drove 1000 miles to upstate NY to pick it up. On the way there his transmission blew up but that barely slowed him down. He got it fixed and towed the camper here where we delivered it today to a family in Garren Creek. Pictures to come later!
Taking 7 days off work, he must have driven over 4k miles this past week. Jack is on the road home tonight so please send your prayers and/or good vibes his way.
Weather update…
This is one of the issues discussed in the “podcast” posted in today’s Presidential thread…a very significant one.
…and winter fast approaching.
