Many of us are watching the story of a woman, Lindsay Clancy, who is accused of murdering her three young children in 2023 in their Massachusetts home. The widely discussed case is being tried in Plymouth Superior Court, and after five days of jury deliberations the jury has again told the judge they are hopelessly deadlocked.
Clancy killed her three children [Cora (5), Callan (8 months), and Dawson (3)], that aspect is not in question; she strangled them with an exercise band. However, the defense has argued that Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis, and she is not criminally responsible. Prosecutors argued Clancy knew right from wrong and acted deliberately, pointing to evidence of her planning, and the fact she hid her thoughts of harming the children from doctors because she knew they were wrong.
The jury is made up of nine women and three men. The jury cannot decide if Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her children. The jury has deliberated for five days and has reported twice before they are deadlocked. Superior Court Judge William Sullivan responded with a Tuey-Rodriguez charge, an instruction that urges deadlocked jurors to keep working toward a verdict while reminding them not to abandon their own honestly held views.
Rather than declaring a mistrial, the judge allowed the jurors to go home for the day. It looks like tomorrow a mistrial will be declared.

In Commonwealth v. Tuey (1851), the court approved an instruction encouraging deadlocked jurors to re-examine their views with an open mind. More than a century later, in Commonwealth v. Rodriguez (1973), the state’s highest court revised that language to remove pressure on minority or holdout jurors, creating a neutral instruction that asks all jurors to carefully consider one another’s views while maintaining their own honestly held convictions.
Receiving a Tuey-Rodriguez charge does not mean a verdict is imminent. The instruction is generally considered a necessary step before a judge declares a mistrial because of a hung jury, although it often results in jurors reaching a unanimous verdict after further deliberations. (read more)
The trial has gathered considerable national attention because a remarkably large number of women support Ms. Clancy and claim that many women suffer from extreme hormone imbalances and are not responsible for their conduct or behavior. The supporter group has a lot of commonalities with the women who previously wore genitalia on their heads.
Many American men are, for the first time, looking at the hormonal claims of the Clancy defenders and asking themselves some very serious questions about the mental stability of a large swath of American women. Meanwhile another significant group of American men remind them this is not new.
The ramifications of a “not guilty” decision are considerable.

Most of the drugs that she had been subscribed were not in her system at the time of the murders nor had she taken any of them.
I do agree about psychotic medications. But she wasn’t one of them that was a user/heavy user of them.

It takes many months for the effects of SSRIs (prozac etc) to wear off. It’s not like a hangover.

Then everyone who takes those drugs should be locked up to keep the rest of us safe. Funny how she plotted the murders, never told anyone about her dark evil thoughts, and chose to commit her murders on 3 children who couldn’t fight back. She didn’t try to murder big, strong men with guns. No. She had the presence of mind to decline that style of murder.
You are making the case that people taking/quitting SSRIs need to be locked up and lose custody of their children. None of them should be fired from their jobs or told “No” because they are unstable.
They can’t have it both ways.

Yes. These drugs do mess with your brain chemistry, and yes, they are overused and it takes time for most of them to wear off. But the rest of what you say is gobbledegook, which I mention only because there may be some here who are taking these drugs.
SSRI’s are antidepressants, not antipsychotics. Antipsychotic drugs usually reduce, rather than exacerbate psychotic symptoms. There are side effects to most of them, but the fact that many of the people who take them have serious decompensations despite taking them mostly means that they have very bad disease and the drugs don’t help.
This lady, it seems, was not taking her medication at the time of the murders. If that is true, it would be typical of a psychotic illness, particularly Paranoid Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. When that happens, an eventual return to psychosis becomes likely.
It doesn’t take “many” months for “effects” to wear off. That is simply untrue. Big pharma knew these drugs were hard to get off of because you become physically sick. The treatment to get off them is a weaning down to eventual abstinence. No one knows how long a no longer used ‘drug’ continues to effect someone. That’s completely subjective. All drugs have what is called a shelf-life (how long stays in system) and usually only takes a few days

In the moment, after THINKING of killing the first, there are ALL manner of levels of conscious and unconscious thought flowing through the brain. This flood of conflicting thoughts and feelings are designed, intelligently, to cause people to pause and re-think what is happening. A Willful decision was made to carry it out.
Compare this with the rates of suicide by men and by women. Women “attempt” more often than men but men are “successful” more often. Failed attempts are the results of the not being 100% certain this is what she wants to do. Her own failed attempt at suicide exemplifies this perfectly. She was fully committed to killing her babies. (why, we can talk about) She did it despite all of the natural human responses in the brain that tell her not to do it. Then she decided to do herself in and failed miserably because she wasn’t quite as certain about that.
Call this speculation if you like. But it’s grounded in the data and observations and direct knowledge of these types of crises.
One wonders why the husband didn’t tell the doctors, since he testified she had confided her homicidal thoughts to him. The doctors would have been obligated to file a Tarasoff warning to the police. He could also have had the children sent to be somewhere safe where she could have supervised visits only.
THAT is what would have thrown me, as a juror. He may well have been in denial, which is often the case when dealing with mental illness. He didn’t want to deal with the expenses and inconveniences of the logical next step, and kept pretending, which Sundance warns us against so often.
He was too afraid of the marital fight that would have occurred.

Has anyone looked into this woman’s social media feeds? If she consumes Woke propaganda, has a university degree and votes for abortionists, that might identify who her influencers are, and could help us to get at her state of mind at the time of the murders.
She lied to doctors about what she had been prescribed, received extra prescriptions, stopped taking them for long periods, and took them in large bursts / irregularly over a period of time. The doctors in this case (at least when looking at what is publicly known) did nothing inherently wrong.
She admitted to killing the children. 3 innocent children which SHE brought into this world. No sane person could do this, voices or no voices. There should be an option that says Guilty but Insane, Temporarily or Permanently and it should carry a penalty of life in prison if it is deemed to qualify as first degree murder. It should take the death penalty off the table and time should be served in a maximum security mental institution.
As for the women supporting her, I am inclined to question their sanity as well. What has happened to women in the last 20 years? After fighting for equality and passing Title IX, now they suddenly are unclear on what a woman is and are willing to cede their gains to the whims of men posing as women. I completely understand why so many people are calling them the AWFuLs now. At this point, and looking at the most prominent women in Congress, it makes you wonder if a mistake was made giving women the vote.

I am a woman pilot. I safely flew airplanes for 45 years, including 35 at one of the major US airlines. Flying airplanes is its own rigorous world. Do not be fooled by what the PR execs and corporate showperson say. Flying is flying. It is an insanely tough and challenging business. The FAA has not changed the standards for private pilot, instrument rating, commercial pilot, multi-engine rating, Airline Transport Pilot, or specific requirements of Type Ratings required to fly individual jets (Citation II, Boeing 737, Airbus A320, etc.) There is an incredibly high weedout ratio amongst those who start, pay more money than college and grad school combined to get their licenses, only to discover that they do not qualify for the major carriers. It used to be over 1000 to 1. There are rigorous standards of accuracy measured by completely objective simulators. No one can hide.
I do not know how it is in other fields, but in aviation, all the PR about DEI might look good, and they might run ad campaigns with a few female pilots (who are usually found posing for cameras, not actually flying airplanes) but the hard cold reality of a job that keeps you away from home 20 nights a month and is ranked the third most dangerous job in America by DOL safety statistics — this is not a place for the faint of heart.
The real problem is that there are not enough women willing to do the tough work. It’s lonely and grueling and miserable. A few of us think it is worth it.

While the post-partum issue is making the headlines most frequently, and that is the issue which the political organizers have pushed, there are other important facts in this case, and one big glaring elephant in the room: those horrible psychotropic drugs which the pharmaceutical pushing doctors gave her. A big question in this case is: to what extent are we going to hold people responsible for their actions after they have taken so many of those – doctor-prescribed – mind altering drugs ?
That question which lingers in the air after the presence of those drugs in every school shooting and plenty of other mass murders and horrible crimes has never been squarely confronted in the courts. Our common law has evolved into a framework to handle people who get drunk and commit crimes, or get drunk and drive, or most recently – consume marijuana and drive. But what about people who consume those psychotropic drugs prescribed by their doctors and then – literally – go crazy ?
To what extent are we going to hold these people culpable ? Dr. Peter Breggin’s book Toxic Psychiatry is a sobering start.
I do not know the answers. I do know it is a tough question.
Best answer: starve pharma. Get healthy in natural ways and STOP looking to chemicals to do the work we should be doing for ourselves.
Doctors have become pill pushers from what I see. I try to eat healthy (whole foods) and got rid of the frozen dinners and seed oils. It’s a start.

Thank you AmaraGrace for the videos you posted. It was a real eye opener to see the amount of medical errors this woman was put through.
She repeatedly asked for help, called the Suicide Hotline, went to the emergency rooms, told her mother, doctors and husband the terrifying feelings she was experiencing. The doctors/PA just pushed more meds, higher doses, and ignored her pleas for help.
She trusted in the medical establishment, and they failed her, and now 3 children are dead. She did kill her children, she never should have been left alone with them. Now she must pay the price for their murder.
My mother was an alcoholic and schizophrenic. She had electric shock treatment twice. I slept with my bedroom door locked for fear of being killed. The medical establishment failed my mother also.
Our mothers had a lot in common, Pamela. I was never afraid of what my mom would do to me, since her go-to was always to try and kill herself.
She succeeded when I was 35 years old.
What remained of her life could be found in a half gallon size bowl of pills — in every shape and color — that she’d been prescribed to “help” her.
Obviously “they” failed.

I have been a bit too busy doing things for the last few decades, but could someone please explain to me who those women are in that photo ? I mean, do they have jobs? Do they get to take off work to hang out there in those hats ? Do they have someone minding the kids ? Who pays their bills ? Where do they all come from and who supports this activity ? I am missing something somewhere …
I know who they are. They see themselves as champions of the underclass, enlightened ones who have been flattered into believing that they can see what their inferiors cannot.

I am generally anti-psychotic drugs, but I believe in this case, she was not actually taking most of the meds. The count in the pill bottles are evidence of that. I think she should be locked up for the rest of her life, and I don’t care if it’s mental institution or prison. She was aware enough that she did not attempt the killings while her husband was home, in fact, she sent him on errands and then systematically executed each child. If the defense put on a fact based case I would be hard pressed to send her to jail but definitely to a mental institution. As I watch her sit there there is no visible signs of any emotion I do think she cried at one point but she just looks like she just does not care what happens to her.

I was a juror for a civil case in Texas where a contractor was shorted the final payment and his earth moving equipment was stolen. The multi million dollar contract was done with a handshake. A liberal woman juror refused to believe that a contract that large was done with an agreement and a handshake. The two parties even admitted they had an agreement. The super wealthy land owner had his crew steal several large earth moving pieces down the road to another property. The contractor found them with his small airplane on land owned by the same land owner. The final payment was 800k and millions worth of dozers and dumpers were hidden. This lady wanted to dismiss the case because she couldn’t believe such a large contract wasn’t notarized in triplicate, signed by the mayor and held in a vault. The terms were written down and signed followed by a handshake. The land owner claimed anyone could have faked his signature. But over 1.5 million was paid out by the land owner to the contractor over 7 months as progress was made clearing 50 acres of forest into a McNeighborhood. Even with all that she refused, saying there’s no proof of an agreement. Emails, payments, permits all with the land owner and contractors names on them but she thinks that because he didn’t get “a certified contract” whatever that means, she didn’t agree that the contractor was owed money. She’s an er nurse and thought she knew better than the parties involved. I was the sole voice of reason saying nothing here is contested except the final payment and the mysteriously moved equipment. The contractor won but I couldn’t believe how adamant she was in thinking any large deal is always laid out by lawyers and signed by officials or it didn’t happen. I informed her that it is common in construction for deals to be made man to man on a handshake and the details are recorded later. Especially in larger ground clearing and earthmoving operations between two private parties.
The land owner said “Well I had to try lol”.
It was just a game to him, ruining the life of the contractor was an acceptable outcome to save a few million.
I loathe people like that and am familiar with another similar case. Some people make it a game to steal as MUCH as they can from contractors to see how much they can get away with and brag about it. How evil is that???
I find it fascinating that the people I know who make it their life’s mission to game the system to squeeze out every last dime for themselves are never satisfied. They are always left wanting more..

Twelve people see the same thing, and yet, each sees different things, notices different details, and guess what — there were important details they picked up that I missed ! Like you, the intersection of perceptions and beliefs about how the world works between what I call ‘operational’ folks — the ones who actually operate equipment, airplanes, farms, anything — and the indoor crowd, who have lots of education and maybe some technical qualifications — is enormous. The upper middle class indoor crowd firmly believes there is a System, that Someone is In Charge, that the most important thing is to Follow all the Rules, and that there is an infinite supply of paperwork supporting every single action.

I was so disgusted with what I witnessed one evening that I felt physically ill and had to excuse myself. That situation made me ponder giving the women the right to vote. We have a legal defense category of Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI) which is very difficult to prove. This case is a good one for the creation of a defense category: Guilty and Insane, which would mean the person knew what she was doing at the time of the crime and also she was insane at the time of the crime.
I believe part of the difficulty in achieving a verdict one way or the other is that both the prosecution AND the defense were both right. She knew what she was doing (guilty) and she was insane.
Since we do not have that legal defense category, it will be difficult for any jury to find for one or the other.
She is sane now. That is why she is able to have a trial. How convenient that she hasn’t slipped into another “Insane” cycle. It only happened on that one day when she sent her husband away and murder 3 people who weren’t strong enough to fight back. She didn’t go down to the police station or the local Gold’s Gym and try to murder men who could shoot her or crush her. No. She went “insane” (yeah, right) at the perfect moment.
Her lawyers are not arguing “Temporary Insanity” because she wasn’t legally insane. They are arguing “Post Partum Psychosis”. We have reached the point that women can do anything that a man can do (“I am woman hear me roar…”) except when it comes to controlling ourselves after childbirth. She wasn’t insane at the time of the murders but she is setting back women decades who fought to not be considered weak, hysterical, and moody/emotional.
That means that women aren’t as tough as men and, according to the pink hat wearers, have a right to murder people and use hormonal imbalances as legal justification for their crimes.
Men should be able to argue that testosterone changes caused them to commit their crimes and not be responsible for them.
That’s a slippery slope.

I watched the entire trial because of where we are heading as a society in cheapening life inside the womb to cheapening life outside the womb. It is clear to me that she is an evil woman who methodically planned the murder of her children. As far as the many medications she was prescribed, the prosecution was able to show that out of the 30 day supply of most mecications, she only took 1 to three pills. She was only shown to have two medications in her system at the time of her murder spree. One being Valium. She is trying to use this as an excuse to get away with what she had done.

I’ve always found it a dark perversion in modern society that a person could be judged not guilty for reasons of insanity, even if temporary. Guilt or innocence relates to one thing – did you do it? The degree of guilt relates to one thing – did you intend to do it? The punishment refers to one thing – the seriousness of the crime. By all three measures Clancy needs to be locked up..
Now, if a person is so psychologically unbalanced that they were predisposed toward the guilty action, then the only question in my mind is the remedy we’ll impose on the guilty person. And in that regard, I refer back to the third point above -the seriousness of the crime. Because the first point is not in question (except for the unhinged pink hat cat ladies) – both she and her lawyers admit that she did it. So yes, she is guilty.
The second point is also not in question – she intended to kill those children, this wasn’t an accidental result of the psychosis her legal team is presenting as a defense, where the children were an unintended consequence.. So yes, she is not only guilty of the crime, but she intended the deaths of those children.
The third point is the crux for me and is the point to be weighed against any plea of insanity, temporary or otherwise. Is the nature of the crime such that, given culpability on the first two points no reasonable society would excuse the actions? On that point, I firmly say that yes, methodically strangling her own children was an action that no reasonable, self-respecting society would ever excuse. Which leaves only the remedy, and that’s where we consider the mitigators.
Clancy’s team claims that she is not fully responsible because of psychological factors exacerbated by hormonal and pharmacological factors. I could grant ALL of that and still find her guilty due to the three points. The only question of fairness, to me, as to a remedy pertains to what we do about a woman who admits to killing her own three children, while asserting a right to not be held accountable due to temporary insanity? In this case, even if I bought every argument her attorneys have made – I would still lock her up for the rest of her life (Massachusetts doesn’t allow the death penalty) because of the heinousness of the crime! Even in our upside-down society where good is bad and bad is good, there is no scenario that begins with a woman intentionally and methodically strangling her own children, after scheming to get the father and nanny out of the way so that the children had no possible rescue, that can end with her ever being allowed back into society.
The pink hat ladies disgust me thoroughly. Not one bothers to hold up a picture of any of the children because their “love” has grown cold. What they cheer for is lawlessness on a scale that was unimaginable just a few years ago. But unless we’re truly on the verge of societal collapse, and the rise of the modern anarcho-Democrat party suggests we’re heading in that direction, then Clancy should never be allowed to walk free again. Treat her behind bars, get her all the help she needs – but as a ward of the state. Justice demands no less. Whether or not justice will actually be done, remains to be seen.

As a woman who went through decades of hormone imbalances and I claim absolute BS on this statement. Heck, my husband and I even went through infertility treatments with him giving me shots of various hormones every month, and even then I did not lose my ability to act like an adult and be thoughtful of all my actions.
Never once did I lose my abiliy to think and reason. Never once.
The one tiny glimpse of good I find in this story is that the jury is made up of 9 women and 3 men, and within that group there are at least 3 women who are not lost to the leftist hive.
Women for the most part are off their rockers but because of rampant feminism they have enmeshed themselves into every part of our society.
Lets recall this: remember the female astronaut Lisa Nowak who put on a diaper and drove 900 miles to attempt murder of her fellow male astronauts girlfriend. She went through a bit of screening and still nutzo. Id like to ask male astronaut’s about their extended time in space station with women….
It’s not a question of guilt. She is guilty of killing her children.
The question is how can justice be served?
In my opinion justice isn’t well served by executing a mentally ill woman.
She was committed to a mental facility and ultimately released without CPS being involved to assure the children were not left alone in her care.
She was on a cocktail of psychotropic drugs that were not adequately monitored.
She wanted to kill herself and suffered irreversible consequences.
All of these factors together demonstrate she herself remains mentally ill. She needs to be treated as such.
No sane individual murders young children, would you agree? If we follow that line of logic, no case involving the murder of children can ever result in jail time.

Mothers murder their children from conception up until natural birth they are supposedly sane.
The most prescient point is was this woman sane or insane? She was released from a psychiatric facility. She had been considered insane enough to be admitted. When she was released she was free of mental illness? No one checked on her? No CPS involvement? No requirement for psychiatric evaluations going forward?
This case is one of negligence.

As Sundance says, a not guilty or mistrial would have unseen ramifications. I would pray that, should that happen, it would cause a groundswell of support for our side in the midterms.
Some may think that’s crass to equate those 2 outcomes, but I feel more and more everyday that we are going to win this war for sanity.

The one question I ask myself is what would the jury have done if it had been Patrick Clancy left alone with the kids while being bipolar but being treated for the wrong condition with the wrong drugs? What if it had been Lindsay who had come home to find her 3 children dead and her husband with a bullet in him but not yet dead. Would the jury be 11-1 acquittal? gWould there be crowds out front in support of Patrick’s mental health? Would the local bipolar disorder activist group have been out front all dressed in blue with signs?
Or would Patrick’s lawyer have taken a plea deal for 3 consecutive counts of manslaughter?
There is an unfairness in the law here that reflects prejudices in society about men and women. That could be a rallying cry for men who are still voting Democrat.
Explain it all to the three poor little innocent souls as though they were still here, struggling and gasping for their last breath.

Listening to The Charlie Kirk Show discuss how heinous was the defense attorney’s comment, that Charlie Kirk was a hateful person who said hateful things, implying that somehow this – had it even been accurate – would have somehow justified his assassination.
Reading the comments here makes me wonder if the defense somehow justifies this brutal infanticide because the children were inconvenient or bothersome, especially during her postpartum disturbance.
A person can make any kind of justification for anything.
It all comes back to, did she know what she was doing? Yes.

The judge just came out to reiterate the instructions of reasonable doubt to the jury.
The defense are saying that it’s one juror not following the instructions and the defense lawyer is noticeably irritated.
Now I’m not sure how the defense knows what the jurors are doing unless someone is leaking to the defense.
If this is true that it’s one juror I’m guessing they all found her not guilty and the one guy is the lone holdout.
Takes a lot of courage to be that holdout, especially if he (or she) has a family. Wouldn’t put it past the pink hats to let it get back to the jurors, “We know where you live” or “…where your kids go to school.”
I agree. I also think that it’s important that this person remain the holdout. Without a clear acquittal, the defense attorney will have to make a deal with the state (I don’t know if she will be tried again) and there will have to be some kind of charge. An acquittal means she goes home.
That sounds like what I’m seeing online too. That means at least 2 men voted to acquit. (For those keeping up with Benny Johnson or Matt Walsh online).
I think the prosecution overplayed their hand and overcharged. At least for Massachusetts. They should have gone with manslaughter. The defense attorney took the prosecution to the cleaners with the mental health evidence. The prosecution got greedy and sounded weak at the end. They had to change their story.
If I were the defense attorney, I would be doing the same thing that this guy is doing: you’ve got one holdout that is clearly ignoring jury instructions. Essentially, one jury-nullifier. I’d fight to get rid of him too in the lawyer’s place.
Right now, it looks like there is going to be a hung jury. The state will then have to decide if they want to try her again. If they do, they will have to curtail their greed and stick with manslaughter.

From what I’ve seen the female prosecutor was pulling the same stuff what’s her name did when she prosecuted OJ Simpson.
This prosecutor looked like she was more worried about her hair than the trial itself.

A lot of people up here in Mass is the states not gonna go after her again.
They may not try her again. A new trial would be costly and attract a lot of unwanted attention. Half the country would think the state was hounding a sick woman. The other half would think that manslaughter was a cop out. I am also sure that Massachusetts General Hospital would like the story to go away too. I think the DA needs to make the best and quickest deal with the defense attorney and get this off the front page.
I don’t understand why the prosecutor thought that the mental health evidence wouldn’t be a factor in a murder case. Surely someone in that office had the records. Also, both Clancys have wrongful death civil suits going against some of the healthcare providers. It must have impressed someone in the DAs office that Patrick Clancy believed that his wife was not responsible for what happened.
I don’t know what they thought they had. From where I sat, they had no logical motive with any real support. They had one piece of evidence (the Googling of the map and distance to the restaurant) which they thought clearly indicated planning. (Of course, it could also be explained away (as it was in Patrick Clancy’s civil suit) as Lindsay being nervous about being left alone and calculating how long it would take.) And that was really all they had. In her closing statement, the prosecutor’s big point was that Lindsay could have used DoorDash, and the fact that she didn’t meant that she was a murderer. Just not a great argument.
I think you’re right that the prosecutor was looking for a big win on TV – it would set her up for life. But, like Marcia Clark, she calculated wrong. If it weren’t for the one holdout on the jury, this case would have been a total loss for her.

The google search was explained very differently in Patrick Clancy’s civil case for wrongful death against the healthcare providers. His complaint asserts that the searches were made for the exact opposite reason: that Lindsay had been having disturbing thoughts and was nervous about how long she would be left alone with the kids.

By all testimony of friends,co workers,family members, Nanny,even ex husband and mother in law, she was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, co worker.
In all the pictures of the kids they look happy and well cared for.
She suffered post partum depression with each child and severely with the last baby.
She was begging for help. Went to first psych who had been practicing fresh out of school for 2 months…she prescribed Zoloft…which she did take. It made her worse. She wasn’t sleeping. Told her husband she was having thoughts of killing herself and the kids. Turned away from a post partum program because she had to many drugs in her system…suicide hot line turned her away twice because she didn’t have “a plan” set up to kill herself. No help at McClane. More doctors after that, more drugs.
So tragic. There are many facts contributing.You have to watch the whole trial.
