We have had this same issue in Arizona many years now. My husband lost his temper once and started kicking the car of an offensive driver and a policeman noticed and pulled over to see what the problem was. I belie the US Military considers anyone with an IQ less than around 80 to be mentally non-functional.
My wife reminded me the other day that where we lived in West Boca Raton in the mid ’80s there was a large collection of Haitians that lived in the community behind us. They would go over to our small lake in our community and catch the waterfowl and also fish where it was posted as not permitted. There was also talks of them keeping various animals in their community (against the city and community rules) and doing “weird things” with them.
The fact they could have bought a federal duck stamp at a preserve about 4 miles to the west and “hunted” the birds and definitely caught a lot of bass doesn’t carry much weight with them.
Like other “cultural groups” down here they just do what they want to do, regardless.
It’s not just the Haitians. The immigrants-legal or otherwise-that NGOs and our federal government have allowed into the interior of our country demonstrate their inability to assimilate in other communities, not just in Ohio: to wit, about a year ago near Syracuse, in a town called Manlius, NY, 3 swans were killed by teens. The cops arrested them (16, 17, 18 years old), and their excuse was that they thought the swans were ducks and they didn’t know they COULDN’T kill the animals, who had been in some park in Manlius since, like, 1905. They were identified by news media as being refugees from Myanmar.
I firmly believe that complex systems won’t survive the coming competency crisis, and this type of hysteria affirms my belief. If people shriek when residents speak their truth about unassimilable immigrants, then I don’t know what hope we have of salvaging these communities. Every study that has been done to validate wokeness has only proven that diversity destroys community trust (and lowers birth rates), so clearly the organizations responsible are doing this because they think people are fungible goods and fundamentally there’s no difference between law & order Americans and replacement migrants from Myanmar, Haiti, and other places who eat local animals.
Government and media liars also destroys community trust. Appreciate what you present but my experience here is that the immigrants hate us. Some refugees hate that they had to come here. They have no incentive to respect us or follow our laws. Many of these have been taught to hate us and their entire community is bound together by their hatred of us. Retired Magistrate here: DeWine doesn’t have a problem with what is going on in Springfield; it has been going on for four years and he is only doing something now because J.D. Vance has highlighted what a problem the citizens of Springfield have with the foreign invaders.
Springfield is about 57 miles from where we live; it is a blue collar town which has struggled to survive over the last 30 years or so. Most houses are small, but well kept and until the Haiti invasion, the crime rate was no worse than any other small town in Ohio.
DeWine is a Rino and is not a Trump supporter nor does he support J.D. Vance. When President Trump is re elected, DeWine will probably name John Kasich, another big never Trumper, to replace J.D. Vance.
