Director Cheatle is under fire for the catastropic, almost deadly, failures to provide security to President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Republicans are using the opportunity of Cheatle’s appearance to find answers about the events. Cheatle is not expected to remain in office as the transition from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris happens in the White House.

The majority party leads all committees and determines which members of each party are in the committees. What is the Democrat-controlled Senate doing, by the way? They also have committees. As far as I can tell it’s GOP Senator Grassley who is launching, or at least attempting to launch, an investigation from the Senate. But I think it’s just a lone effort because he has no power right now. So the investigation is letters. Letters requesting info which the Democrat agencies always ignore.
