He was relaxed and it felt like I was watching a “normal guy”.

One of the hardest kinds of speeches to LEARN to give are those that are given in cavernous spaces, with the audience far from you. It’s hard to establish intimacy which is why a speech that was intended to INTRODUCE a speaker to the audience in the arena and to millions watching is very difficult.
Vance “found his voice” in the middle of the speech when he figured out how to adjust his volume to the type of material he was covering.
At times he let the audience go on too long with their chants. I think he appreciated them and didn’t want to seem rude by cutting them off as a speaker learns he has to do. His timing suffered as a result. He tried to fist pump with them, but it looked forced.
Nonetheless, this takes practice and he’s a quick learner.
I thought Marco did a great job the other night, giving the kind of rousing speech that this venue requires. Of course, Marco’s speech was limited to 10 minutes, as I recall, and it was his job to contrast the Dems record with Trump’s.
Last night someone said to Hannity that he had heard Trump’s acceptance speech would run 60-90 minutes.
EGADS, it had better not! That’s way too long.
The crowd must be much louder when one is standing on stage compared to watching it on tv.

Many others who are non political and watched it on YouTube commented that they love it and his speech. Many had never voted Republican before, but they will now.
