It was odd on that first night when Joe Biden announced the FBI would be investigating the assassination attempt of Donald Trump, only a few hours after the failed shooting. How did the people around Biden immediately know something went wrong?
Then things got even more sketchy when police reported the assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was spotted and photographed acting suspiciously 30 minutes before the attempted assassination. Unfortunately, they “lost track” of him.
To the commonsense observer, Crooks had to be wandering around the venue for quite a while. I mean, the scheduled start time for the speech was originally 5:00pm, yet President Trump didn’t get started until an hour later 6pm. Obviously, Thomas Crooks would have been doing something for an hour while he waited. What was it?
The sense of something sketchy increased exponentially with all the subsequent updates about the police backing down from the roof when the assassin pointed his gun at them. Especially when considering the lack of Secret Service removing President Trump from the known kill box, and the crowd yelling at law enforcement while Crooks was getting into position, a mere 400 feet from Trump.
Then we find out that multinational media conglomerate Blackrock, just coincidentally used Thomas Crooks in one of their PR ads. To top off the suspicious nature of the networks, Blackrock executives are literally in the White House guiding Joe Biden (see the Donilon family). However, even Suspicious Cat could not make up what comes next.
According to the latest CBS report, Thomas Crooks was spotted by a three-man sniper security detail.
Crooks was seen using a range finder to view the stage where President Trump was soon to arrive. Then Crooks climbed onto the building that was housing the security detail and it was from that position he fired nine shots at President Trump, taking off part of his right ear.
Folks, we are not suspicious enough about this entire set of events.
VIA CBS – There were three snipers stationed inside the building the shooter used during Saturday’s shooting of former President Donald Trump, a local law enforcement officer with direct knowledge of the incident tells CBS News.
The operations plan had them stationed inside the building looking out windows toward the Trump rally. The information about the three snipers being inside the building was first reported by BeaverCountian.com.
One of the snipers inside saw Thomas Matthew Crooks outside and looking up at the roof, observing the building and disappearing, a local law enforcement officer tells CBS News.
Crooks came back, sat down and looked at his phone. At that point, one of the snipers took a picture of him. Crooks took out a rangefinder and the sniper radioed to the command post. Crooks disappeared again and then came back a third time with a backpack. The snipers called in with information that he had a backpack and said he was walking towards the back of the building.
Officers believe that Crooks might have used an air conditioning unit to get on top of the roof.
By the time other officers came for backup, he had climbed on top of the building and was positioned above and behind the snipers inside the building, the officer said. (read more)

When justifying why the Counter Snipers were not positioned on the roof, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said Secret Service officials planning security for Trump’s rally considered the warehouse 147 yards away from where Trump spoke to be a risky position for stationing an agent.
Apparently, the Secret Service agent in charged deemed the roof slope too much of a safety hazard to transverse. [LINK HERE]
The roof atop the security counter-snipers was deemed too sloped for safe positioning. The roof behind President Trump was not.

I am a very above average shot. Not quite sniper material but pretty good. An amateur cooked off the first 3 rounds in rapid succession with a 6 inch grouping. All while having to do it quickly after just being seen by the police. Adrenaline flowing. Waiting over an hour for his moment already filled with jitters. I doubt I would be able to do the same.

For those shooters and engineers in the group, here is a math problem.
Based on the height of the stage and DJT, what is the total height of the first bullet that struck the ear?
Based on the height determined above, which sniper location would produce a bullet path parallel to the stage floor shown in the photo showing the bullet streak to the left of DJT head after passing through the top of his ear:
A. Sniper located on the roof of building with all the attention
B. Sniper located inside building with all the attention
If answer is B, then is there a window in the building which has the proper line of sight?
If answer B is determined to plausibly explain the bullet trail trajectory, then maybe it explains both snipers reactions on roof behind the stage since the sniper they were both scoping did not fire the first shot that clipped DJT’s ear.
I firmly believe the ubiquitous availability of phones and video of the rally is eventually going to sink the attempted cover-up.
Whatever evil was planned in secret will ultimately be laid bare and then it will be a race to determine who ultimately is left holding the bag with the music stops. Those closest to the action have the least incentive to cover for the architects, especially if some of the collaborators are local to Pennsylvania.

Why is the NYT’s photograph showing the bullet almost parallel with the ground? Coinsteward……now, I won’t sleep. But, we need more information. To your point we need more video footage from the crowd.
I actually think elevation is less important than angle of attack. The bullet path to hit a person’s ear without hitting his head (Divine intervention notwithstanding) must be PERFECTLY parallel to the side of his head.
The stage appears about 3.5 feet high based upon people standing in front of it. Add about 5.75 feet to Trump’s ear (he’s leaning a bit forward and not standing straight), so you’re about 10.25 feet in height and who knows the terrain elevation 140 yds away. Shooter height was probably with sloped roof between 14 to 15 feet above the ground.
The angle of the shot however, had to be perfectly in line with his head and that would give you the firing position if it was from where the shooter was or if it came from a window below the shooter.
One other thing that has not been mentioned is which counter sniper team neutralized the shooter. It didn’t appear to be the guys on the roof in all the videos. The guy in the kneeling position flinched upon gunfire and I didn’t see the prone positioned sniper fire. Supposedly, there were some trees that obscured their view so was it the other team on the other roof or a third team that has not been mentioned?

A 5.56 round at that range fired from an AR-15 is going to travel higher than the line of sight (the bullet starts below the line of sight, crosses going upward at 25 meters, then crosses going downward at 250 meters — this is due to the known effect of gravity). So the sniper was probably aiming center of mass and the bullet naturally traveled above the aiming point.

The shooter was close enough to fart and be heard.
At the range the shooter shot at it would be a bullseye shot with very little dropping of the bullet. Assuming he had it sighted in at 150-200 yards which is normal.
Every ballistic projectile travels along a trajectory, the height of which increases as its range increases. Sorry, but there is no such thing as a perfectly flat trajectory, even down to 100 yards. Point of aim compensates for the drop, provided one has correctly “zeroed” in the sighting device.

1. If the Barrel BORE Center line is perfectly Horizontal and Perfectly rigid, the Bullet Path will instantly begin a curve Down as soon as it clears the Muzzle.
2. If the Sight(s) Line Of Sight is also Perfectly Horizontal and Parallel to the BORE, The Bullet will Never cross the projected LOS as the bullet Starts out Below the LOS (by the height difference between LOS and Bore Center Line) and drops after that.
3. As a PRACTICAL matter, the Sight(s) LOS is NOT parallel to the Bore Center Line; the Barrel is NOT Perfectly rigid; and the Bore Center line is NOT Horizontal.
4. In the real world: if LOS is horizontal and intersects The eventual target at a known range, AND the rifle is adjusted so the Bullet Strikes the target at the Point Of Aim (POA), Then the bore center line is sloped upward and the departing Bullet has an Upward Path vector to begin with but the Downward Curving path post departing the Muzzle Does result in a ARC Chord being described between Muzzle and target…meaning the bullet will cross the LOS twice.

Why would Crooks even need to expose himself with a rangefinder? All he had to do was look at google maps to see how far it was. Did any civilians actually see cops trying to get onto the roof, and then retreating?

You have to look this up yourselves. Search Butler Gymnastics Club, Butler Pa on google earth. Measure path to stage area as best you can. I get 490 yds. There isn’t a 490 yd path to the sniper. The Family Sports Center to the rear is 420 yds to Crooks location.

This is interesting coming out this long after the shooting. What took so long? Why did Cheatle initially lie about the local police having responsibility for this area? Seems she claimed that before much of any investigation began.

I keep thinking of the SS snipers on the roof behind him. They (both of them) appeared to be engaged in something (the shooter) right from the start. They both had some serious binoculars lying on the roof beside each of them. Neither was using them. Both were on their scopes. They should have almost been able to see the serial number on the rifle the shooter used with those binoculars.
Also curious about the tan box on top of the scopes for both snipers. I suppose it could be laser pointers, but I’m curious if they might be some kind of recording device. Video of how long they were scoped on the shooter would be telling.

Note that the rally had been scheduled, iirc, at least 10 days before July 13.

CNN has since put out a statement that their forensic sound study reveals a 3rd shooter … one article to float the idea that the perp shots, the security shot, and another closer shot was detected to infer there was a shooter closer than the perp. No other mention or sources, so I question if a sniper was on that water tower that no one is talking about. I hope someone comes up with better footage of that tower.

I have been on tin roofs all my life (installing vents and chimneys, not shooting from) and all you need are tennis shoes. To shoot, a can of spray adhesive and a shooting mat would hold you on a four/twelve with no problem.
The SS had to be inside the building to help Crooks get to the roof. This was a coordinated assassination attempt from within our government. Too amateurish to be anything else. My assessment. No professional sniper or President Trump would be dead. How far in advance was the Butler Farm stop known to people in the security detail? Not just SS, but locals.
