Am definitely planning to watch President Trump’s acceptance speech! Was too young for Reagan’s 1964 speech but “totally” remember the speeches from the ’80s.
I enjoy watching a good many Trump rallies, but you know, this last one was different. I had a Pennsylvania photo but didn’t feel like posting it before the Butler rally. Then shortly before the rally, I decided to take a nap instead of watching … strangely enough, because my ears were bothering me, especially my right ear (which I attribute as a symptom of allergies). I woke up actually right around the time the shooting took place, but wasn’t aware that there’d been an assassination attempt so just decided to watch a few light-hearted videos for entertainment until after the rally ended, so I could start from the beginning and watch it in its entirety along with a late dinner. … That’s what I was doing until I came across a video titled something like: “Emergency! Shooting at Rally!” … at which point I started following the threads here at the Treehouse to get the real news.
On another note, my name is phoenix … and I survived a car fire many years ago. Came through unscathed although the car was totalled. The insurance people were stunned when I walked in the door alive to make a claim on my insurance policy.

I totaled my Jeep in 2014 when the rear axle broke and then the vehicle rolled.
Just before it happened, I “felt” rather than heard “You shall not have her!”
Then the axle broke and the vehicle rolled and landed on all four wheels.
I turned off the ignition and stepped out of the Jeep.
Had a broken neck, but that was about it.
The neck healed just fine, except it gets a bit achy with a weather change.

Didn’t lock the car door as the hard plastic roof busted into little pieces and came off as the Jeep rolled over, so not much point in locking up.😄
But I did turn off the engine, in case there was a gasoline leak I figured turning off the engine might avert a fire.
I did take the key ring that the car keys were on, as I figured I would need the house keys on it to get into the house when I got home, whenever that would be.
Then I scrunched my shoulders up to my neck to sort of stabilize it while I cast about for my handbag which had flown out of the car.
My eye glasses flew off my head during the first roll, so I needed the spare pair that I kept in my Duluth Trading heavy duty leather bag (not a commercial for the company, but dang if it didn’t keep the glasses safe!) A nice lady who was driving by found the purse for me and the spare glasses let me see to get around.
She and another nice person helped me to carefully climb up the small embankment that the Jeep had rolled into, and I waited in the lady’s nice warm car, as this was December in Montana and was pretty chilly.
She let me use her phone while we waited for the ambulance to arrive and I called my boss to let him know I wouldn’t be in that day.
So very many nice folks helped me out! God IS good, all the time!
And it was fun to share His goodness with the hospital staff!
Sometimes it is hard to see His goodness in the midst of trouble and sorrow, but if you look back at those times with an open heart, you can see His mercy and provision.
Praising God and giving Him glory is a blast!

gypsy, emotions are very powerful; but theirs are fueled by hatred, anger (at what I always wonder), and vitriol which leave a body spent, a soul impoverished, and, as you say, a mind unhinged.
By orders of magnitude the emotions which power and empower us are based on patriotism, love of our fellow man, and all that is right and moral.
The two sides in this spiritual battle…evil vs good.

I am looking forward to watching and hearing the explosion of voices when President Trump finally takes the stage to accept the accolades of those who love him and this nation. I worship God. Second to God I worship my hero, mentor and the greatest President in history, our President, Donald J. Trump!
I only worship God. Anything else, even secondarily, is idolatry, and our God is a jealous God!

As much as we wanted events to unfold according to our desires, I have to admit that, in hindsight, the “steal” of 2020 and the attempted assassination have propelled us all to this one, defining moment.

After reading the article above, President Trump said when he got up after being shot, ALL the people were still there…People were not running, everyone was waiting..He wanted to reassure everyone, America, The world, that everything was going to be ok. He raised his fist. That started me thinking about the responses of Trump supporters. They were not going anywhere until they knew he was ok, or not ok. No one was leaving him. I know this is not well written, but it made me realize how we are all life, energy and strength to one another. He will fight for us and we will fight for him!!!! I know we are all so thankful God and God alone spared his life. I am excited for what lies ahead. May God grant us courage!! and Courage is contagious!!!

Other people were pointing this out, too. If you watch the rally videos, people dropped to the ground when they heard the shots fired, but when Trump raised his fist, most of them jumped up ready to fight.

I have so many questions about how this 20 year old was able to nearly pull off assassinating Pres Trump by himself.
This reeks of something a lot more sinister and bigger.
There are too many things that do not make sense.
