Again, as a singular static datapoint, that Axios framework is tenuous. However, with the absence of the defenders on the Sunday talk circuit, that framework looks entirely accurate.

With all of the horrors and weak politicians allowing it to continue the issue of civil rights was the issue over which the Democratic party was about to lose in a big way. So the Democratic party flipped itself (this is the origin of the “switched sides” BS comes from) and set out to destroy the black family through welfare programs which forbid any man living at home.
In more recent history, we watched as a new Democratic campaign of political violence occurred. BLM and then Antifa appeared and once again, we see the Democratic party operating BLM and Antifa to commit TERRORISM across the US in largely Democratic party run jurisdictions. Again, this is TERRORISM. Domestic Terrorism. Violence for political purposes, unpunished by Democratic jurisdictions and even dismissed as “a myth!”
We know where we are. But in a historical context, it’s useful to remember that the KKK and the BLM and the ANTIFA organizations are terrorist in nature and are exclusively Democratic party supported.
It needs to be called out clearly and directly. Democratic party voters are still convinced they are “the good guys” and are simply unable to see the connection between the Democratic party and the political terror groups in the USA.

Biden has to go before the election, either by stepping down or the 25th amendment, he should not be allowed to stay until Jan 20, 2025. America should see the VP in the role as president, the Dems should be stuck with their DEI choice and choke on it. I’m not so worried that the scenario you describe will come to pass. The media right now is in no position to “deify” anybody.
