I can’t say I have sympathy. Joe must know where just about everyone’s skeletons are buried in closets, or whose in a closet and doesn’t want their skeleton out. Love is love. Something like that. If he can remember any of those details, well, given his mental state he won’t have the emotional control to keep it in once he loses his control. It will happen, just remains to be seen if it happens in public. I wouldn’t be surprised if he “died suddenly” and took many things to the grave.

There is panic because they know they do not have a winning ticket with Joe or Kamala. Throw in the rest of their bench and nobody makes the outcome conclusively winnable. But, yes, Biden’s departure was planned, they knew about his Parkinson when he was elected. They may have thought it would progress more slowly, but they began plans in earnest to remove him from the ticket 6 months to a year ago. I think they also assumed after the 2020 election that Harris would pan out and step up to the plate. That has not happened. So, they are scrambling because Jill won’t go and Kamala is not forcing Biden’s departure.

Biden’s team imposed debate terms (CNN, biased commentators, no audience, mute button) which they “knew” President Trump would find unacceptable. He accepted to call their bluff, trapping them.
The “highest” Democrat concerns assumed Biden would perform like he did at the State of the Union- jacked up and yelling. What they got was a disaster which threatens to curtail not just Biden’s candidacy but his presidency, while putting a stake in the heart of whatever media and political legitimacy the Democrats have left, and forcing them to jettison “democracy is on the ballot”:when they throw out the primary results if they run another candidate. That’s a very high price to pay.
Their best play is Kamala, and cheat like hell.
