What are we to make of President Trump’s possible choice of Marco Rubio as his VP?
In many columns and pages, you have chronicled the multiple failure points of Senator Rubio…his service within the corrupted Intelligence committee, and his non-MAGA compromises. I fear this could become another massive moment of fatally poor judgement.”
The direct issue of the vice presidential pick of Donald Trump is a fun topic often discussed, because it can easily engage everyone.
The issue of Rubio, or ‘fill_in_the_blank‘, is not really that important to me; and before your jaw opens, I’ll explain why.
My personal preference is Dr. Ben Carson, for all the reasons I have previously mentioned {GO DEEP}. In this election, GOOD is going head-to-head against EVIL.
When I say GOOD -vs- EVIL, let me give context. These are the stakes.
Given the nature of potential nuclear weapon use, three simultaneous global conflicts (likely 4 with Taiwan), a looming World War III, hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of slaughtered people, the likely elimination of the dollar as the global reserve currency for around half the world, a dollar-based central bank digital currency created by the United States Treasury if Biden wins, the catastrophic consequences in the lives of ordinary Americans, and essentially the end of projected USA power and the economic security that goes with it, there may not be a familiar tomorrow if the election goes the wrong way. With that in mind, the lowest possible consideration in my mind is 2028.
Next up, put this thinking cream into your coffee as we sip through the thought processes.
They crossed the Rubicon in 2020 with 51 high ranking Gov Intel members purposefully and specifically lying to the public. Does everyone realize the scale of that, and what it meant when they took that position on such an openly visible lie right to our faces, using our highest-ranking government intelligence members? They don’t exactly come back from that; it was an all-in position…. and they did it. What does that stuff in 2020 tell you about 2024?
What they will do, based on what they have already done, is the stuff we should be thinking about.
Look at what they have done.
This doesn’t even touch on the forced vaccination and COVID madness where people literally stood outside of buildings while their husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, grandparents and children died alone, ALONE, because government people – the type who torture beagles for a living – said that isolation was what we needed to do…. because that was part of the predicate for manipulating an election.
Lawfare? Heck, that’s the least dangerous poison arrow in their death to the republic quiver.
That’s the 2024 context.
So back to the VP possibility and Marco Rubio.
I don’t have any idea who President Donald Trump will select. However, I can see him liking Senator Rubio, because Rubio is articulate, clean, relatively young, bilingual, has a family, is polite and well mannered, is cultured, is seemingly not in trouble, and he gives a good impression when he walks into the room and engages the guests. Rubio outwardly checks boxes that make him appear like a safe legacy consideration.
The downside is that Rubio is a manipulative liar, untrustworthy, speaks with forked tongue, fulfills the role of Brutus, or the “scorpion” perfectly, and seemingly has done stuff early on in his life that may have created the origination compromise. Beyond all that, the cherry on the corruption cake is his relationship with the Intelligence Community. Any SSCI Vice-Chair who can sit with SSCI Chairman Mark Warner as a “friend across the aisle,” can never, not for a single moment, be trusted. It’s just the reality of it.
That said, I genuinely don’t care who Trump selects as vice president. I have my preference (Carson), but I’m situationally ambivalent to the issue, because I view my preference for Trump’s mission as something totally different than most.
WE THE PEOPLE need to take back the power from our government. I want President Trump to operate every lever from the limited office of the presidency to give us the tools to take back that power. WE need to be the vice president, and WE need to be the force in 2028 that determines how the deconstruction of our oppression continues.
President Donald J. Trump is our weapon, our wrecking ball to start this MAGA process. We the People are the entities who need to support Trump, while keeping him fueled and fearless as he does it. Depending on how much deconstruction demolition Trump is able to achieve, the next phase of operational leadership will need a different skillset.
Last point – I don’t believe that President Donald Trump has “massively failed” at anything. I’m not going to backbite, judge or criticize the man in the arena, because he wears a different sandal or chooses a different weapon to fight the enemy. Look around, he’s all alone.

I said in 2015, if Donald Trump showed up to the August Fox debate in five-inch heels, a Carmen Miranda hat and started twerking the podium of Jeb Bush, I would vote for him even harder. …. Because Trump was the only one different than the set of characters organized to help Jeb.
President Trump isn’t the cause of the GOP problems; President Trump is the result of the GOP problems. President Trump is our weapon. From that perspective, there is no alternative. And yes, he is the ONLY alternative. Whether he makes mistakes or not is a moot point against the reality of him being the only alternative to a completely corrupt system. Think about it.
There are quite enough high-horse riders and keyboard warriors who do not understand the DC system criticizing Trump. They don’t need my help. I cheer our glorious bastard every day, because every ounce of his thinking and effort comes from a place of good intention. I do not doubt this fallible, flawed and simultaneously decent, strong, purposeful and resilient man.
Beyond 2024, Good is going to have to battle Evil, and at the same time our nation will need stability, optimism and a resurgence of faith. In short, no one is winning this political war without putting God, righteousness and prayer at the forefront, as the DC tables are overturned.
When it gets ugly, and it will get extremely ugly, something just inherently tells me, we will need Ben Carson.

Ivana’s long time friend said she always used the stairs, would never use the elevator. The friend said she herself was terrified to walk down the spiral staircase when she visited.

Kare508 ~ Where I came to the same conclusion as you re Ivana’s death was the look on Eric’s face at the funeral ~ it showed a great deal more than the rest of the family, not that they weren’t distressed. However, I listened to a podcast of a friend of Trump’s who said he’s talked to him many times during business and personal turmoil, but that Trump always remained cool and focused. On the other hand, the conversation he had w/Trump after Ivana’s death… not so. Trump’s temperament was off the charts. I should have saved that podcast.
RE Rubio…much in my files about him… including his alliance w/John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Hillary & others who conspired w/rebels to attack the Benghazi embassy. 🙁 So much in those files causing me to disagree 100% w/Sundance, especially about Rubio’s “…relationship w/the Intelligence Community.”
Furthermore, if Sundance supports Ben Carson, after mounds of evidence re the COVID vaccine tyranny, perhaps a revisit to articles about Carson advocating mandatory inoculations of the entire country and his 100% endorsement of vaccines including his statements that all exemptions including religious should be denied… well then, there are no words left IMO!

What I didn’t mention are several malpractice lawsuits against Carson that may not be a problem for some, but I see them as a very ugly and disturbing issue.

Sorry for your experience. Ours was somewhat different. My wife of 47 years required emergency surgery during the middle of covid/clot shot BS. The large trauma center tried to keep me out. Previously having consulted in the field of Healthcare Security for 30 yrs prior to retirement, took me less then an hour to come up with a scrub shirt & ID badge, then bypassed their security checkpoints while obscuring the ID badge. Knew enough about patient flow to find the area she was in post-op. Walked in like I was supposed to be there and just avoided the nursing staff if I got any second looks. As long as I acted busy with purpose when around too many real staff members, never had a bit of problems and maintained that ruse until she was ready to be discharged. Then I went back out to my truck for a different shirt & waited for them to call me for her discharge.

As an RN of 45-ish years plus or minus….I can literally walk in any hospital and not have to avoid other nurses etc or pretend to fit in….I can walk by security…and keep on going…
I have never been questioned or stopped…my “belonging” wreaks out of my skin and breath…its now part of my DNA.

….one of the prefects of the new ACA, not related to the ‘Rona, was that the patient would be in the hospital for a shorter period of time…
….and that a lot of the changes were also made based on the fact that families were more involved with the patient….and AT THE BEDSIDE for longer periods of time…
..and many hospitals changed their “visiting hours” policies to “Open Visiting” meaning that visitors could come and go at all hours of the day and night (sucking up to the families for higher patient satisfaction survey results,
…AND what they did not tell you, is that the business angle capitalized on families doing more for the patient, so that staff would not have to do stuff for the patient…

My husband died from covid, alone in the hospital where I could not visit nor would they consider any alternative medicine other than redemsiver and a vent. Praying someone will start a class action suit for the many like me, who suffered the ultimate loss.

My sister worked in LTC at the time. She told me they were told to stand down. She said when she attended her patients, their tongues were stuck to the roofs of their mouths for lack of water. Her own health took a toll witnessing how powerless she was to help. They (co-workers & staff) didn’t care or were fearful of losing the jobs they needed.

In one of the polls asking which person I would like for Vice President I said without hesitation Ben Carson.
Too many people wrote in Marco Rubio on the same poll. He has successful, legal immigrant status, it’s true. But he wants successful American status and seems to go back and forth trying to grab the golden ring. That does not characterize standing with this President who has paid the price to be President in this hour. Rubio will cave under the horrible pressure President Trump has pressed against for years now. Ben Carson might cave but his faith is strong and active…not passive. He has been a pillar through all of this and will stand strong when the claws are out because he has already seen them and will not be surprised like most politicians. I would also choose Ben Carson over Franklin Graham as a spiritual adviser for the reason that is given below. He should have stayed out of medicine and continued doing the good job he had been doing prior to 2020.

J.D.Vance could be a good protege to follow up in 2028, but he needs to stay in the Senate.

Plus I’m in with Mark. So I’m biased!! He’s an amazing person and his staff are excellent as well. They actually take time to listen to and work with their non filthy rich constituents. I know for a fact from experience.
I’m a definite NO on Rubio, for all the reasons stated here. Vance would be my first choice — I’m tired of people saying “he’s needed more in the Senate.” I was kept out of a coveted media job in another department for years, I found out later, because, “she’s just too valuable where she is.” Eventually, God moved and opened a door to that job in an unexpected way (via the company president recognizing that my gifts would be better used in the position I wanted.) It turned out to be a win-win for me and the company — and I went on to win awards and advance fundraising even more, while finally doing the media work I’d trained for in grad school.
I see the same thing regarding Vance. If he has the best qualifications (tangible and intangible) for VP, why would we not want him in a place where he can help PDJT on a broader platform to advance MAGA causes? And where he can still have an influence on the Senate (and with his former colleagues) as a deciding vote in tight issues. Vance knows all the rust belt/heartland issues that speak to a lot of people, and he has been a great voice for America First issues in the senate. He also showed up to support PDJT in NYC during his trial, and was able to be a voice for a man who was under a gag order and not able to speak against a sham trial. And he’s young enough to be the apprentice who can succeed our lion in 2028 and beyond.

He is legally eligible. To serve as vice president, an individual must: be a natural-born U.S. citizen; be at least 35 years old; be a resident in the U.S. for at least 14 years. Furthermore, most of his positions in the Senate are solidly MAGA, and he is able to articulate America First and common sense stands as well or better than many who have been in Congress for decades longer.
Plus, he has had enough time in office to know how the system works, but not so much that he’s been corrupted by it.
Worried about possibly RINO Kristi Noem but feel, possibly mistakenly, that she would be better than definitely RINO Rubio. Of course Thune is from SD, so…
Kristi Noem has zero chance after her dog-killing story…. but she definitely wants the job! (She’s not on the list, btw).

I’m no fan of NBC News, but I did find their analysis of Ben Carson as VP intriguing, with some interesting quotes, supposedly from people behind the scenes. They point out that Carson was one of the few VP mentions who did not show up at PDJT’s NYC court trial — but they also acknowledge that he already has a close relationship with him and didn’t need to “audition.” (I’m a little surprised he wouldn’t be there just to make a public stand for his friend, and to be able to address the reporters afterwards in his defense.)

Granted, “Any SSCI Vice-Chair who can sit with SSCI Chairman Mark Warner as a “friend across the aisle,” can never, not for a single moment, be trusted.”; therefore, by throwing Rubio’s name into the ring, might neutralize the SSCI’s activity against PDJT, to some degree, but it wouldn’t be for long.
Rubio was out of the blue chosen for SSCI. He hadn’t been around long at all. Always thought blackmail was the game. He won’t be allowed to stray far from SSCI stronghold so I think it would be a high risk for PDJT to take in choosing Rubio and one he will lose – just like with Pence, Barr, Sessions, the list goes on. I don’t see what Rubio would even bring to the ticket. PDJT should bring him to some rallies and watch the lukewarm reception if not outright heckling & booing.
Plus, I will vote for PDJT in 2024, but I will not vote for Rubio in 2028. No way.

Dan Bongino has actively participated in and dealt directly with “the minutia” in his previous careers. He has seen it “up close and personal” so he knows it very well and clearly explains why it matters when looking at the large issues. Earlier I could not rationalize Dr. Ben Carson but since then I’ve seen him deftly handle the liars and exaggerators on The View and elsewhere.

Despite his outwardly gentle demeanor I believe he is the right man for the Veep position next to PDJT. I believe Dr. Carson’s calm exterior conceals a steely constitution underneath that won’t be easily rattled by the criminals in the party of the jackass, or by the backstabbers in the party of the RINO.
