The direct issue of the vice presidential pick of Donald Trump is a fun topic often discussed, because it can easily engage everyone.
The issue of Rubio, or ‘fill_in_the_blank‘, is not really that important to me; and before your jaw opens, I’ll explain why.
My personal preference is Dr. Ben Carson, for all the reasons I have previously mentioned {GO DEEP}. In this election, GOOD is going head-to-head against EVIL.
When I say GOOD -vs- EVIL, let me give context. These are the stakes.
Given the nature of potential nuclear weapon use, three simultaneous global conflicts (likely 4 with Taiwan), a looming World War III, hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of slaughtered people, the likely elimination of the dollar as the global reserve currency for around half the world, a dollar-based central bank digital currency created by the United States Treasury if Biden wins, the catastrophic consequences in the lives of ordinary Americans, and essentially the end of projected USA power and the economic security that goes with it, there may not be a familiar tomorrow if the election goes the wrong way. With that in mind, the lowest possible consideration in my mind is 2028.
Next up, put this thinking cream into your coffee as we sip through the thought processes.
They crossed the Rubicon in 2020 with 51 high ranking Gov Intel members purposefully and specifically lying to the public. Does everyone realize the scale of that, and what it meant when they took that position on such an openly visible lie right to our faces, using our highest-ranking government intelligence members? They don’t exactly come back from that; it was an all-in position…. and they did it. What does that stuff in 2020 tell you about 2024?
What they will do, based on what they have already done, is the stuff we should be thinking about.
Look at what they have done.
This doesn’t even touch on the forced vaccination and COVID madness where people literally stood outside of buildings while their husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, grandparents and children died alone, ALONE, because government people – the type who torture beagles for a living – said that isolation was what we needed to do…. because that was part of the predicate for manipulating an election.
Lawfare? Heck, that’s the least dangerous poison arrow in their death to the republic quiver.
That’s the 2024 context.
So back to the VP possibility and Marco Rubio.
I don’t have any idea who President Donald Trump will select. However, I can see him liking Senator Rubio, because Rubio is articulate, clean, relatively young, bilingual, has a family, is polite and well mannered, is cultured, is seemingly not in trouble, and he gives a good impression when he walks into the room and engages the guests. Rubio outwardly checks boxes that make him appear like a safe legacy consideration.
The downside is that Rubio is a manipulative liar, untrustworthy, speaks with forked tongue, fulfills the role of Brutus, or the “scorpion” perfectly, and seemingly has done stuff early on in his life that may have created the origination compromise. Beyond all that, the cherry on the corruption cake is his relationship with the Intelligence Community. Any SSCI Vice-Chair who can sit with SSCI Chairman Mark Warner as a “friend across the aisle,” can never, not for a single moment, be trusted. It’s just the reality of it.
That said, I genuinely don’t care who Trump selects as vice president. I have my preference (Carson), but I’m situationally ambivalent to the issue, because I view my preference for Trump’s mission as something totally different than most.
WE THE PEOPLE need to take back the power from our government. I want President Trump to operate every lever from the limited office of the presidency to give us the tools to take back that power. WE need to be the vice president, and WE need to be the force in 2028 that determines how the deconstruction of our oppression continues.
President Donald J. Trump is our weapon, our wrecking ball to start this MAGA process. We the People are the entities who need to support Trump, while keeping him fueled and fearless as he does it. Depending on how much deconstruction demolition Trump is able to achieve, the next phase of operational leadership will need a different skillset.
Last point – I don’t believe that President Donald Trump has “massively failed” at anything. I’m not going to backbite, judge or criticize the man in the arena, because he wears a different sandal or chooses a different weapon to fight the enemy. Look around, he’s all alone.

I said in 2015, if Donald Trump showed up to the August Fox debate in five-inch heels, a Carmen Miranda hat and started twerking the podium of Jeb Bush, I would vote for him even harder. …. Because Trump was the only one different than the set of characters organized to help Jeb.
President Trump isn’t the cause of the GOP problems; President Trump is the result of the GOP problems. President Trump is our weapon. From that perspective, there is no alternative. And yes, he is the ONLY alternative. Whether he makes mistakes or not is a moot point against the reality of him being the only alternative to a completely corrupt system. Think about it.
There are quite enough high-horse riders and keyboard warriors who do not understand the DC system criticizing Trump. They don’t need my help. I cheer our glorious bastard every day, because every ounce of his thinking and effort comes from a place of good intention. I do not doubt this fallible, flawed and simultaneously decent, strong, purposeful and resilient man.
Beyond 2024, Good is going to have to battle Evil, and at the same time our nation will need stability, optimism and a resurgence of faith. In short, no one is winning this political war without putting God, righteousness and prayer at the forefront, as the DC tables are overturned.
When it gets ugly, and it will get extremely ugly, something just inherently tells me, we will need Ben Carson.

Re: RUBIO- I doubt that Trump is seriously considering Rubio… and HOPE that Don Jr (others on the Trump team) read CTH and know all that Sundance has revealed, in great detail, about Rubio’s involvement in the Gang of 8 orchestrated seditious plot against the sitting POTUS, DJT re: Crossfire Hurricane/Russia collusion hoax. Having said that… IF by chance Trump does select Rubio as VP I will trust Trump’s judgment. That decision would indicate to me that Trump knows something that we, here, do not know. I personally think that Rubio as VP puts Trump’s life, literally, in grave danger… so I cannot believe that Trump would … frivolously risk his own life… or want to have another DS subversive like Pence.
Still, my hope and guess is that Trump will choose Carson… even though Carson will be too old in 2028 (76) to run for president… b/c the nation won’t vote for an old POTUS in 2028. The nation doesn’t want to do it now, in 2024 either.

This is what I don’t see in Sundance’s article. I believe he is a praying man and that many readers are Christ following Biblical believers, and yet no mention of prayers for PDJT or for God’s guidance to be with PDJT in his VP choice.
All the referring to what PDJT may and will accomplish for USA carries no thought as to the reality those accomplishments are ultimately in God’s hands.
Our saving will come from God NOT from PDJT – through him yes, that is the way much of the change to come will happen. But there is so much that will be God’s work through many other people in the saving of all the global nations and their people. Our America – one nation under God, and His people Israel are of God’s heart. I believe God’s work will begin there.

The 12th Amendment does not bar both candidates (P & VP) from the same state.
It bars the electoral delegates from the state where the candidates come from for voting for both candidates in the electoral college. They can only choose one. They would have to pick someone else as VP, but only that state.
It could and probably would make it difficult in a closely contested election to get the VP candidate elected and give Congress the potential opportunity to pick their own VP though.
In a landslide, it would probably not affect the outcome.

No, that is not what the Constitution says. Read it again (12th Amendment):
The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves…
What the Constitution says is that the electors cannot vote for both a president and VP candidate if both are from the elector’s own state.
So if both candidates were from the elector’s own state the elector could only cast a vote for one of the candidates, thus they would have to vote another candidate for the other office, since the amendment requires that they enter a vote for both P and VP.
So, sort of, demand answers to the tough questions that reveal Commitment To The Good and then just say “eh, who cares anyway” when no satisfactory answers are forthcoming. I agree, I don’t think Rubio is a bad choice at all, can’t imagine Trump losing a single vote over that choice.

The Donald needs real advisors who can help him navigate DC. His biggest shortcoming is not knowing who can be trusted and during his last administration he took very poor advice from a whole slew of people to whom he never should have listened. This weakness was exploited many times during the last administration and will continue to be exploited if he doesn‘t have people in his corner who are serious about fixing the issues with corruption. My personal opinion is that it can no longer be fixed and thus the debate is moot.
Rubio is possibly one of the worst candidates he could choose as VP as he was directly involved in the intelligence committee plan actively working against him during his last tenure. The idea shouldn‘t even be entertained.

Describing Carson as “weak” as a negative characteristic when I think it’s more his medical demeanor, not reflective of his capabilities.
Then I compare him to Mike Pence, a former VP, and I think Carson would be a great improvement.
Think about how “strong” one must be to cut into someone’s head and brain.
Admittedly torn on this topic myself; I like Rubio as my Senator because he “seems” to represent my state, but agree with the points made about his potential selection and untrustworthiness as VP. It would be like Pence 2 Judgement Day or something.

You might have a typo there — 16th is income tax. 17th did away with state legislatures choosing senators and changed that to popular vote. State legislatures actually promoted the amendment. By the time it was passed it was very popular with the people and most all segments of government.

To answer your question regarding Rubio: a hard NO for me. IC compromised is all I see with him. Everyone knows my position regarding the IC.
On Trump: my views are identical to yours with the caveat that I fully believe he is divinely Anointed. As to how successful he will be, I think that depends on whether we measure up to deserving God’s grace.
As to Carson: I’m currently torn between him and Lake, but find myself leaning more towards Lake. I would be happy either way though, unless negative revelations occur with either.

I’m not sure about Carson. I think Trump needs to have somebody who is the invisible hammer to tear down the current system. That person is the designated a-hole ripping the IC, FBI, and DOJ a new one while Trump stays above it. VP’s are not usually media darlings, and they stay out of the spotlight. But when the hammer strike falls, the VP needs to be the kind of person who won’t blink when the IC unleashes the media on him. Someone unafraid the declassify. Someone unafraid to work with the new AG to advance criminal prosecutions. And someone willing to stand in front of the cameras and call it what it is.

To win these states Trump needs to appeal to people who, despite their personal feelings about Trump, recognize that his policies are good for them, their neighborhoods, and the country. That would be RINOs, independents, moderate Democrats (if there are any), libertarians, anyone. He needs every vote to overcome the massive fraud that’s going to take place.
And Trump needs someone who is young enough, but still an experienced winner, who can continue to 2028 (and 2034). 2028 is important because of the 2030 census. The Dems want to take back the House seats they lost after 2020, and importing millions of illegals is one way. Roberts shot down a census question on citizenship last time, but the 2030 president needs to try again with a new Court makeup for the argument that the House represents citizens. Also, Thomas can’t live forever (neither can Sotomayor), so there may be new SCOTUS appointments in the new decade.

I was an avid Ben Carson supporter until Trump became the nominee. I have always believed he was a top choice for VP instead of Pence. Carson was always my favorite. I didn’t realize until today that he was also Sundance’s favorite. Carson is a true man of God and a brilliant thinker.
