The position of Hungary in the Ukraine vs Russia conflict has been consistently pragmatic. Ukraine is NOT a NATO country, and when the USA essentially demanded that all NATO member states join in a unified mission against Russia, to promote the specific interests of the United States, it never made sense.
Hungary has maintained a consistent position that NATO is a defensive partnership that should not seek conflict and war outside its member state boundaries. However, the USA has previously used its leadership role in NATO to pressure member states to join in conflict outside the NATO boundaries, ie. Iraq and Libya.
In the modern era (since Obama), the former left-wing peacenik movement has reversed position and are now the leading advocates for global war. Democrats, leftists, globalists and various trade union organizations, who have supported the merge of government with corporations, now advocate for all positions that advance war and general international conflict. As a consequence, NATO is now an offensive weapon; that’s the contextual background.
The USA has created a proxy state with exploitation and control over Ukraine. Russia has responded to the USA control over Ukraine by force. The USA now wants to create war with Russia using NATO as the offensive weapon. Hungary does not want to participate in this NATO offensive position. This puts Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the outside of the NATO alliance group and a direct target of the USA.

Orbán told state radio that Hungary opposes a plan NATO is weighing to provide more predictable military support to Ukraine in coming years to repel Moscow’s full-scale invasion, as better armed Russian troops assert control on the battlefield.
“We do not approve of this, nor do we want to participate in financial or arms support (for Ukraine), even within the framework of NATO,” Orbán said, adding that Hungary has taken a position as a “nonparticipant” in any potential NATO operations to assist Kyiv.

“Now a new term has been invented to describe the Hungarian position in NATO, it is called non-participation. We are not a participant now,” Orbán said in an interview with Kossuth Radio, according to a report by Hungarian news portal Telex.
“There is the term opt-out … If we were opt-outs, our participation in NATO’s military structure, our position, would change,” Orbán was quoted as saying.
The Hungarian leader said lawyers are working on how Hungary can exist as a member of NATO and not participate in the alliance’s action outside NATO territory, according to the report.

Oddly, as I watch more obscure data that few pay attention to, the Biden administration seems to have somewhat backed away from promoting direct war with Russia. It’s still too early to tell exactly what is happening on this shift, but in the last 10 days things shifted.
Perhaps the CIA/USAID failures in Hungary, Moldova and now Georgia are having some more immediate influence on U.S. policy. I’m not sure why the CIA/State Dept would be having more difficulty in the past few weeks, but something has shifted in the direction of making war with Russia less likely.

They knew then that this tool would be better suited coming from a private company. Interesting question. The problem for the Russians seems to be ballistic missiles and what warhead they could be fitted with, in particular nuclear. Were they to see one incoming they have said that they will have to assume the worst and respond in kind, probably with a tactical nuke into Ukraine, likely whilst the incoming is still in the air.
Incidentally, only the US has short range BM capable of carrying nuclear warheads in Europe. The other nuclear weapons in Europe are in UK and French submarines, carried by French aircraft, plus around 150 US owned dumb bombs positioned around Europe for delivery by NATO aircraft. What the US military has of its own in Europe is classified.
A similar situation will unfold when the F-16 make it to Ukraine. As they could well be capable of carrying the US bombs the Russians have already declared that they will have to treat them as nuclear delivery systems which potentially means firing tactical nukes at their airfields. This risk rises dramatically if the F-16 attacks Crimea or the bridge.
As to peace talks, it is increasingly likely that the Russian people with Putin as their representative will accept nothing less than the unconditional surrender of Ukraine with the US/NATO also having to accept the Russian security proposals of November/December 2021.
One of the other dirty little secrets of Europe is that they send all of their nuclear waste to Russia from their nuclear electric plants. They rely on Russia in many ways that never get publicized.

There is a bit of a problem. The UK has supplied Storm Shadow, virtually identical to the SCALP and now the Russians have worked out how to shoot them down. The Germans, quite sensibly, have clearly decided, although they can’t state it openly, that they would rather their longer range missile did not suffer the same fate.
It seems that the longer this goes on with no sign that the Russians can be stopped the more desperate NATO becomes, leading it to provide the Ukrainians with more advanced equipment that the Russians then learn how to counter. Not good if in the back of the mind is the risk that NATO may fight Russia or even China.
For Orban Viktor this is simple: he bet on Russia hoping that, if Russia wins and the West collapses, Hungary will be given a chunk of Transylvania, when it all ends.

One of the things I found most interesting in Tucker’s Putin interview is when Putin said they asked for Russia to be a part of NATO and of course were denied.

These two sites, but especially the Mail, publish gigantic headlines with lists of things the public MUST HAVE if they are to survive (!!!!!) in case of the Armageddon they are stoking the fear of.

It crypto actually useful? It fluctuates so much seems like it would be tough to use as anything except speculative investment.

I also get confused by intangible “coins” that exist as a virtual currency. I suppose crypto and bitcoins are no worse than bank statements, as that “currency” also exists on paper, but not necessarily inside the bank vault.
I prefer a more tangible investment like property. Something I can touch, or live inside, or barter with. If it were a precious metal like gold or silver, I would expect small coins are more practical for bartering, not bricks or paper certificates.
It occurs to me that a great bartering item I don’t see mentioned is coffee. I found out, in the aftermath of a hurricane, that I can live without a lot of things, but I WANT my morning coffee!

Agree. I bought 60 pounds of near expired Starbucks during the pandemic. Of course coffee doesn’t go bad when properly vacuum sealed. Still working on it. Also has made a nice gift when visiting friends and family. Helped costing only $1.50 a pound. Certainly no fan of the brand but couldn’t pass on the deal.

I don’t think that Russia would actually strike unless actually struck. War is in nobody’s best interest. But, if push came to shove, Russia might be forced to “deliver a wake-up call” to teach the game-players that Real War is no game. (Without(!) disastrously harming them.) The question is how.
It’s actually a complicated question.
The “special military operation,” itself, was one such “call.” Russia is still playing with its prey. But, it has already ripped the covers off a great many “[CLASSIFIED]ion-dollar illusions.” Proving that the hyper-spends were worthless. “Ike Was Right.”
It seems the Communist Hawks want to give Ukraine all sorts of weapons to strike targets in Russia. Many of these sophisticated weapons will require NATO troops to operate them. We are demanding a much bigger conflict. We have to remove these people from our society.
Russia has repeatedly demonstrated that it can track the incoming shipments of these “wunderwaffen” and destroy them in warehouses. It’s called: “air superiority.”

No. The cities on the map that they’ve taken in the past 2 years are Luhansk, Donetsk, Mariupol, Berdyansk , and Melitopol. Ten years ago they took the Crimean Peninsula (which was arguably never really part of Ukraine). They have not taken Kramatorsk (which is located in the Donbas). The Russians were previously in Kherson, but they withdrew because they thought it was too risky to be on the other side of Dnieper River.
A lot of the current fighting is to north and west of Kharkov.

If indeed there is a ‘shifting away’, and I agree that does seem to be the case, then the most likely reason for this shift is that elements within the cabal may have finally realized that NATO simply cannot win a war against Russia. The only possible end would be either catastrophic defeat, or going nuclear. Going nuclear means that even they themselves would likely die.
Oddly, as I watch more obscure data that few pay attention to, the Biden administration seems to have somewhat backed away from promoting direct war with Russia.
On Friday Ukraine attacked and probably destroyed a number of Russians radar stations used for early detection of long distance robots and nuclear attacks. Given the data points that Sundance noted which may indicate that the Biden administration is backing away from a war with Russia there are as I see it two possible interpretations of this attack.
1) Ukraine did it to force a conflict between Russia and Nato.
2) There are at least two strands of US foreign policy being conducted related to the Russia/Ukraine war.
The first possibility will probably result in Ukraine being deprived of some types of Western weapons. The second is much more worrisome. Here it really depends on who is on which side.

Always, but it is just as dangerous to believe that everything that goes counter to your wishes are untrue as to believe everything that is printed or broadcast. As I noted in my comments above this news item occurs both in pro-Ukrainian news outlets and in pro-Russian ones. A number of rather prominent persons have commented on this event. Given that my primary hypothesis is that it did occur (just as the Nordstream pipe-lines were sabotaged).
My brain is wired in a drastically different way. The fake pandemic and subsequent fake elections ever since was the final revelation. The same institutions who lied about that and persecute those who refute their narratives, are the same ones telling you what to believe about Ukraine and everything else… At some point you have to break the cycle and sever all ties. Its all so revealing now.
OK, I understand you, although I try to gauge each item separately. However, regarding this event it may be just as important if it did not happen but the media tries to make us believe it as if it did happen. Either who wants to attack facilities making up part of Russia’s nuclear deterrent, or who wants us to believe that Ukraine with Western support did that? Both events go counter to Sundance’s observation that the US administration (or maybe Nato) is trying to de-escalate the conflict. Is it rouge actors within the US administration, Ukraine or someone else? That to my view is the important question.

Even if one disregards all the videos that were published by Hamas and other Arabs taking part in the slaughter, there is just too many witness accounts, lost people, funerals etc to discount. Remember Israel is a small country. A very large proportion of the Jewish population have relatives, friends, and colleagues affected by the events of the 7 October.

I think the driving factor, or one of them, is that it is clearly going to be near impossible to overcome the vote in November. They probably realize that if they cheat, it would take more votes then there are human beings in the UsA, legal or not; to defeat PDJT.
I’ve notice a general shift in regular Americans out in my daily interactions. People are openly touting Trump, touting Christianity, demeaning tranny way of life and child mutilation. The word is out, and it’s our turn to openly express our political beliefs without everyone around scoffing out of fear of straying from the herd.
The lemmings now see the mentality shifting to Trump so in their usual fashion they are joining the winning side. Which is exactly what sheep do. They follow the herd.
We are winning the information war and its down stream effects are now obvious. My buddy text me this morning saying he noticed the shift. And he text me that unsolicited after I had recently noticed it after the Bronx rally. So it tells me I’m not nuts. We both agreed we are wearing our MAGA gear to the polls here in NOVA come November and for the first time in 8 years, we aren’t worried about someone hitting us with a rock or metal rod. Although we will keep our heads on a swivel, the threat is definitely lessened from a quantity of herd members.
