This would be another body blow into the body of the Dollar as the reserve currency.

There are active rumors in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that some of the senior officers who were associated with General Zalushny and have been dismissed in recent months have changed sides and are seeking asylum in Russia. One of the staff officers of the Ukrainian High Command was helped to take his family to Russia.
I don’t have any more information about this – what leaders, how many, or what are the circumstances.
When the rats start leaving the ship, I’d say that the ship was not going to be floating much longer, no matter how much money Congress appropriates or how many flags they wave.

If I were actually screaming out loud the way I’m screaming on the inside, I would blow out my vocal chords in seconds.
Back about 1968/72 timeframe, one of the networks [i.e.cbs;nbc;abc] ran a one-time pilot for a show that wasn’t picked up. The plot was set in the future, where the US has been taken over by domestic (politicians?) groups to set up a dictatorship. The old US flag was retained by the new regime, but was now “properly” displayed upside down, with the edge of stripes against the pole.
No names were named, but it wasn’t hard to figure out who the bad guys were. The “stars” of this thing were a group of young, goodlooking, well dressed, hip young people of both sexes (there were actually only two sexes then), who were fighting for mom, apple pie and the American way as it existed in the heads of the left-of-center script writers.
I can’t for the life of me recall the show’s name, and I dunno if any of you will remember it; the pilot for the proposed series only ran one time. I thought at the time that a takeover from the right was terribly unlikely.
Not sure why I bring this up tonight, but the irony of recent events is that the takeover we are facing now was really from both the left and the “right”. Blackmail and huge payouts make for strange bedfellows.
