New York Governor Kathy Hochul has admitted the lawfare deployed against the Trump organization and President Donald Trump himself was a specific plan for his targeting and any other business interests or people within New York should not be concerned.
It’s a rather brazen admission all things considered; however, if it changes the public outlook as the various New York lawfare cases against President Trump continue, is yet to be determined.
(Via The Hill) – New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) addressed New York business owners in a new interview and told them there was “nothing to worry about” after former President Trump was hit with a $355 million fine and a ban on conducting business in New York for three years.
Hochul joined John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM, where she was asked if other New York businesspeople should be worried that if “they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.”
“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about, because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior,” Hochul responded. (read more)

My question too, and why is there no push-back from GOP representatives and senators on this? If this was being done to Biden, they would be in the streets. It’s hard to leave, if you can imagine upstate NY with the 4 seasons, Catskill mountains, history, lakes, nature at it’s best, and lots of good, independant native NYers who don’t judge, will lend a hand, work hard, say hello or nod when you make eye contact, and ask for nothing. Starting April and running thru fall there’s a festival, open market, fair, concert, yard sales, etc, etc every weekend – free.

A sitting governor declaring that one very particular citizen got his just due because of WHO he was while at the same time allaying concerns of all of the citizen’s business peers–i.e., they all are equally at risk for prosecution, having committed the same “transgressions” in the eyes of the law/state–means that she admits there is a separate standard applied in this unique instance. Such an admission and LACK of concern for the peer group indicates that she has inside knowledge; i.e., either assurances in the general, or specific and conspired plans in the instant.
She ought to be held to sworn testimony in this instance. Plus, discovery ensues in such an engagement.
