New York Governor Kathy Hochul has admitted the lawfare deployed against the Trump organization and President Donald Trump himself was a specific plan for his targeting and any other business interests or people within New York should not be concerned.
It’s a rather brazen admission all things considered; however, if it changes the public outlook as the various New York lawfare cases against President Trump continue, is yet to be determined.
(Via The Hill) – New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) addressed New York business owners in a new interview and told them there was “nothing to worry about” after former President Trump was hit with a $355 million fine and a ban on conducting business in New York for three years.
Hochul joined John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM, where she was asked if other New York businesspeople should be worried that if “they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.”
“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about, because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior,” Hochul responded. (read more)

I think the NY and NYC elections are rigged as California’s. I think this admission has gone a LONG way to a major push by voters for reforms. And if it doesn’t happen, expect the Trump Administration to launch massive civil rights investigations into the whole mess.
Keep in mind that in the past, similar such investigations occurred in southern states and resulted in SCOTUS issuing an injunction against them preventing all manner of things in how they conduct elections. (which is interesting considering the latest SCOTUS ruling against Trump in the 2020 was that “states run their own elections according to the constitution.”)

I moved from NYC 30 years ago, and have a real estate business throughout the West. I’ve looked at NY real estate, but I’ll now never do business there. The politicized taking of property by officials who did not like me are diametrically opposed to the rule of law. No one can be assured that their property is safe, if they wish to retain the freedom to think differently than the tyrants in charge.

To me, her statement would make business owners more worried in that they damn well know PDJT didn’t do anything illegal. A week or two ago, before all the nasty anti-Trump judgements were handed down, I responded to a Trump email wanting my opinion on who he should choose as a running mate. More of these sorts of polls have come in the meantime but I have not responded.
Here’s who my “choice” for VP running mate is: ex-NY Governor Andrew Cuomo. He’s not the nicest guy in the world (and Mike Pence was?) but he’s a tough political hombre and has been accused by a bunch of women of some unpleasant kiss and tell moments in his office. Kind of like Trump being sued by some nasty chicks before he entered politics, but he’s getting sued because he has more money than Cuomo. Both guys are also in trouble with their political parties’ “establishment” rulers. It’s also interesting that Cuomo was once married to RFKJr’s sister. She was a bit of a nutcase, too, so that is probably not a minus in RFK’s point of view, having had a wife who committed suicide, and as he’s not totally against Trump, the three might cook up some sort of Deal that would Appeal;-)

Then, independently of each other, we might each, of our own volition, independently decide to call some of them on the phone everyday, and inquire of them about any particular topics which comes to mind; such as it might relate to things they would be inclined to talk about…
And yes, this might very well result in a lot of NYC bigshots having to constantly change their phone numbers so as to hide from all the friendly patriots who are calling to say hello…
