New York Governor Kathy Hochul has admitted the lawfare deployed against the Trump organization and President Donald Trump himself was a specific plan for his targeting and any other business interests or people within New York should not be concerned.
It’s a rather brazen admission all things considered; however, if it changes the public outlook as the various New York lawfare cases against President Trump continue, is yet to be determined.
(Via The Hill) – New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) addressed New York business owners in a new interview and told them there was “nothing to worry about” after former President Trump was hit with a $355 million fine and a ban on conducting business in New York for three years.
Hochul joined John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM, where she was asked if other New York businesspeople should be worried that if “they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.”
“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about, because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior,” Hochul responded. (read more)

We need a new United States that includes the conservative, oil producing middle provinces of Canada and excludes the West Coast and Northeast Corridor. We’ll take Alaska and they get Hawaii and Puerto Rico. NM and Arizona voters can decide which way to go, but once the border is drawn, that’s it.
Speaking of borders (under my new map, there would be three, possibly four depending on what we do with the Canadian territories), there would be zero tolerance for illegal border crossing and no incentives like we have today. Asylum seekers can seek asylum in the newly formed countries to our right or left, but not in New America.
One downside to the plan is losing some ports, but we’d still retain the Gulf Coast and Southern Atlantic, as well as the Mississippi River. Most of the existing military bases would be on our territory.
Our country would immediately set about rebuilding our oil production and pipeline capacity, as well as building new nuclear plants. We would reset the Constitution to mean what it did in 1787 with regard to the 1st and 2nd amendments. Religious tolerance and freedom would be respected, with all churches being tax exempt unless they are involved in shielding criminal activity such as alien smuggling. Politics from the pulpit will be encouraged, as will prayer in schools.
Locating the new capital might be a contentious issue — I recommend somewhere truly undesirable to live (I won’t mention where, lest I offend). We don’t want any necessary bureaucrats that remain to get comfortable.
This post could be infinitely long, but the last thing I’ll mention is what I think would happen in the remaining areas outside our borders (W and NE). First there would be a mass exodus in both directions as blue-haired people leave us, and sensible people flee impending communism. I don’t think those areas can hold together without conservatives, so we would see a period of instability on our doorstep. As reality sets in, they would beg to rejoin the now expanded union.
If you take Arizona with you and just 80 km of Mexico, you’ll have a nice port to the Sea of Cortez.

And I don’t recall in the defense testimony any evidence from the banks on the number of loan applications, secured by real property, that were granted solely on the applicant’s inflated estimate. I’ll bet 100% of them were approved, but on the banks’ own appraisal.
The next step is a challenge to the fine and punishment under NY State Consitution, Article 1, Sec. 5:
” Bail; fines; punishments; detention of witnesses Universal Citation: NY Const art I § 5 Excessive bail shall not be required nor excessive fines imposed, nor shall cruel and unusual punishments be inflicted, nor shall witnesses be unreasonably detained.”
Don’t think a bond needs to be posted for this action.
To late to crawfish now. Youve done sealed the deal. NY is a dead duck until this is overturned. Maybe now, voters there will understand the consequences of their votes. Its all fun and games until the food dries up.
I can’t help but think that many of the votes in New York were stolen, just as they were in my home state of Colorado. Sure, there were many votes cast for the dems but for those who voted conservative, their voice went up in smoke, just like mine did in the last several elections.

By targeting a specific individual and essentially finding him guilty of a crime that doesn’t exist, the State of New York has created a bill of attainder, in violation of the Constitution. This one shouldn’t be difficult to overturn.
Ditto on lifting the statute of limitations so E. Jean Carrol could get a piece. Even Federal law recognizes that after 3 years recollections are poor and evidence disappears. The NY Adult Survivors’ Act in 2022 opened a one-year window, but required positive evidence (e.g. DNA). None was presented in the Trump case.
Had not heard about the DNA clause in the law, but agree it is the characterization of Bill of Attainder for this one too. Neither has, or will ever have, another court case except PDJT.
All these get reversed on appeal, or SCOTUS… but lawfare is about the process, and all the MSM wants is a conviction to broadcast nightly until the election.

I Thought it ALAWYS obvious to Everyone that this was ONLY aimed solely at PDJT-a “one off” as the saying goes-

The only way to fix this is to ban Democrats from courtrooms unless they’re defendants. Demonrats are only judges to skew justice towards unfairness and political deceit. They are by nature and character unfit to serve as judges. This ain’t rocket science. If you’re cheering this obscene injustice, you’re evil. Period. But the Demonrats entire schtick is rejoicing in iniquity, they are evil damn poeople.
Of course, every high-profile businessman in New York City and State knows the maxim very well: “And then they came for me.”
New York built itself on being very friendly and cooperative to the sort of people who – just like Donald – “could do business like that.” These same people would now do very well by showing some solidarity until the idiots are forced to listen. Otherwise, they WILL be next.
