I’m not sure what provoked Tucker Carlson to actually follow through on this plan; I know he was deeply worried about being arrested in Russia. However, Carlson did something every U.S. journalist should do, even though they are forbidden by the State Dept from doing it.
The reason the U.S. Government doesn’t want people traveling into Russia, is specifically because people will tell the experience of their time in Russia, and that will run completely counter to the acceptable narrative. Unfortunately, we live in a world choreographed by the U.S. intelligence apparatus to provide us only one skewed version of global reality. In any event it is funny that the WEF/Rothchild types think they will survive a Russia, China, vs U.S., NATO global conflict. If such a disaster befell the world and they survived, do they think they could escape to the Global South and be safe? That would be a bad bet even allowing for their secret bunkers. Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US journalist Tucker Carlson on Tuesday for an interview, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a daily media briefing on Wednesday. The American had announced the imminent release of the footage hours earlier.
Peskov declined to say when exactly the public will be able to see the interview and would not comment on its contents. He noted that being an American, Carlson was neither pro-Russian nor pro-Ukrainian in terms of his attitude to the Ukraine conflict, which is expected to be the focus of the interview.
He pointed out that the interviewer’s position contrasts with that which dominates in Western media, which is why the Kremlin had granted his request. The Kremlin spokesman added, however, that Carlson is wrong when he claims that Western news outlets haven’t bothered to seek an interview with the Russian leader.
Western mainstream media cannot claim “even the appearance of impartiality” on Ukraine and “all have a one-sided position,” Peskov explained. Moscow has “no desire” to communicate with them and doubts that anything good would come out of it, he said.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Carlson will likely publish his production on Thursday, citing “people familiar with the matter.”

I’ve been watching a live blogger from St. Petersburg (baklykov live), for some time now. Sergey (sometimes with his wife) does walking tours throughout Russia, including the Red Square, Moscow, KGB Headquarters, and about a hundred cities. He talks to the Russian people. He walks through book stores, department stores, McDonalds, KFC, pubs, parks and just walks the streets narrating. Very interesting. He comments about shortages due to sanctions but stays non-political.
It is a different view from what we get here.
DJ, I also have been watching baklykov live for quite awhile. To summarize I’d say he travels to as many Russian towns and cities as he can and just walks around showing the sites and sounds of these places. Sergey is not putting out propaganda or anything like that and comes across as a nice guy too.

We know lots of Russians moved there to support the army and navy. In the two “break-away” provinces of Ukraine in question, Luhansk and Donetsk in the Donbas region, have lobbied the (corrupt) government of Ukraine to unite with Russia since long before 2014, when Russian leadership decided to step in to help them break away.

Former Belgian prime minister Guy Verhofstadt, now a member of the European Parliament, has already called for Carlson to be banned from the bloc.
“As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine his case as well,” Verhofstadt told Newsweek. The EAS is responsible for the bloc’s foreign policy and can recommend sanctions, which need to be approved by the European Council.

Tucker Carlson also said that he wanted to interview Zelensky. If I were Tucker Carlson, I would be more worried about being arrested in the Ukraine. He is very apt to meet the same fate as Gonzalo Lira.

I watched it. It was utterly fascinating, unlike anything you would see on American media.. Basically, Tucker said to Putin, explain why you are doing what you’re doing. Tucker is being criticized as Putin puppet for not interrupting him every minute.
For 2 hours, Putin explained his side of the war. Even if you are pro-Ukraine war, wouldn’t you want to know the other side’s motivations? Evidently not, if you are committed to an endless war.
