Stoltenberg did it again recently when he was questioned about the horrific and horrible likelihood that terrible Russia would expand their military conflict beyond Ukraine. Surely, given the intensity of the common western narrative, this Russian expansion was only a matter of timing. Nope….

The German and UK press has been publishing articles ramping up European fears of a Russian attack, publishing maps showing a supposed Russian invasion of Europe, where the big arrow attacks would take place, what branches of their military would be involved. More and more articles have been appearing about this coming Russian attack, predicting when it would occur. The source has been a supposed “secret paper” depicting Russian plans.
I think that all this false propaganda is actually coming from the US in an effort to increase European spending on Ukraine or the military spending in each country. These news stories are appearing as the US weighs how they can steal Russia’s $300 billion or parts thereof to give to Ukraine in lieu of Congressional appropriations. The stories appear as German, US, and UK troops are being deployed in increasing numbers in Poland, the Baltic States, Finland, Romania, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, as Germany and Poland increase their troop strength, as the US Congress waffles on lavish Ukraine spending, and as Russia continues an increasingly successful campaign in eastern Ukraine against all of NATO and the EU.
As you said, I’m also betting his phones are blowing up with condemnatory calls from the US and the western alliance because he just ruined their fear-mongering ruse to justify wasteful spending while the ordinary people suffer under government control – or rather under multinational corporate and bank control. Perhaps Stoltenberg accepts that POTUS Trump will win in Nov so he is changing his commentary accordingly. An outcome of Term 1 POTUS Trump criticisms of NATO was that member states were starting to pay more to NATO so DJT became a defacto ally of Stoltenberg.

Clapper was once a patriot; sharp enough, informed enough, and earnest in his passion for American ideals. Mostly though, he executed and responded to the directives and dictates of his superiors, and to an extent, his peers. From first hand encounters I can say that, like a third of the ‘brass’ the political forces of DC went with/ followed the tide of politicized/weaponized distortion. A sad development that has hollowed out the vigor of our once impartial “leadership.” He was forced to take sides. I think it was a combination of facilitating orders and clinging to the party which appeared to have the best chance of survival.
My son in law is from Turkey and he frequently watches news from there. Today Putin was saying he was naive….basically he thought we wanted peace and says he does. That seemed to be the gist of it. I bet you’ll never hear this on US TV – we need a bad man for the military industrial complex to dangle in front of us so we’ll pay and pay and pay them.

So many people seem to have forgotten why this began.
Ukraine was committing war crimes against civilians. The Ukrainians being shelled voted to join Russia, following the “democratic process” Blue Team is always insisting upon.
When Ukraine wouldn’t let them peacefully leave, they asked Russia for help. Contrary to how the US has handled Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, etc etc etc since WWII, Russia went to help upon request.
The western world hates Russia because they’re showing the hypocrisy of western nations and still winning by following the process US and others ignore.

No doubt Stoltenberg is of the globalist bugman class, but I recall his son was killed in Afghan serving with ISAF, so respect for that at least.
There is no threat of expansion from Russia since the 17th century; it was a monarchy that went to the Union of Soviet ‘Socialists’ Republics- USSR- then to Marxism/Communism and now a Russian Federation of states led by an elected PM with a constitution.
The Russian people have had it ALL and have helped Christians around the world in peril from persecutors.
