As we will do with each primary contest, this is the dedicated thread to the results from the primary caucus in the state of Iowa today.
Forty delegates are up for grabs. Delegates are distributed ¹proportionately. Caucusing begins at 8:00pm ET. We can expect results from the first-reporting precinct caucuses around 8:45pm Eastern Time tonight.
There is no Democrat primary caucus in Iowa this year as the DNC changed the primary contest. A few people, me included, have long suspected the DNC primary change was not necessarily about the DNC, but rather a change to provide space for Iowa and New Hampshire Democrat activists to influence the first two republican primaries as a block Trump strategy. We await the data to see what happens.

¹Delegates are proportionally allocated to Presidential contenders based on the statewide vote. Each candidate receives (candidate’s statewide vote) × 40 ÷ (total statewide vote) delegates. Round fractions to the nearest whole number. If there are too few delegates allocated, the candidate nearest the rounding threshold receives the additional delegate. If too many delegates are allocated, the candidate furthest the threshold loses a delegate.

Cue up the Ray Orbison.
It’s Over!
Now. Get out! You brood of vipers!
Taking back our country!!! Thank you Iowans! Bless you Iowans! You just showed America THE WAY !!! Hoo Rah!!
“Crying!”
Donald Trump Jr.
Well, that was fast. Thank you Iowa. Now let’s end this nonsense and go after the insanity that is today’s Democrat party. Enough is enough! It’s time to put America first for a change.
Well said, Jr. !! We’re with you. America is with you!!
Meanwhile, VR has issues in Rhode Island. Apparently there are “a number” of dead voters on his nomination paperwork for the Rhode Island ballot. More to come…
The GOP needs to do caucuses in every state. And require that caucus attendees are registered Republicans at least 3 months in advance. The GOP needs to tamp down on Democrat interference. Dems and even unregistered should not be determining who the GOP nominee is.
Every state runs it own primaries and elections. Start a movement to get caucuses in your state.
I think Missouri went to caucus system this year but I don’t know anything about it.
Caucuses are ridiculous
Why? You get to see your vote being counted right there. No waiting for days for the corrupt ballot counters to make their adjustments. And I think Iowa checked IDs too.
Here is what happened tonight.
Are you registered?
Good, write your preferred candidate on this piece of paper.
Put your vote in the box (on table in plain view).
Vote closed.
Everyone in the room.
All eyes watching.
Box turned over on table.
Paper pieces separately piled by name.
Tally.
Winner of precinct announced.
Reported while all still present.
Simple. Clean. Transparent.
Caucus can be just that.
Ecause they take hours hours
We need verified voting, is even do a thumb print
Caucuses are the closest thing we have to verified voting.
But that’s disenfranchising voters, especially if their prints are on file lol.
We need 3 P’s to vote:
1. Proof of citizenship
2. Paper ballot
3. Purple finger
I was at a caucus once, there were about five of us total in the one precinct . It makes the ‘politics’ quite local. This was to pick delegates for the state convention on a presidential election.
They’re actually kind of fun – and interesting.
The GOP doesn’t want Trump to win. They want Haley. So don’t expect any fair treatment from them. They will try anything, including let Democrats vote in the Republican primaries, to stop Trump.
First, state law dictates who votes in a primary and not the political party. Second, a caucus is funded and run by the political party and not the state. The state has no involvement.
Trump declared winner in Iowa.
Captain Keshel has predicted a 53% share of the vote for President Trump.
https://skeshel.substack.com/p/captain-ks-2024-iowa-caucus-forecast
On track, so far!
Author’s Note: This post is open to all. Consider it an act of forecasting responsibility and accountability.
I like Seth Keshel’s commentary. He got the forecast pretty close other than putting Trikk Nikki ahead of Da Meatball. They’re close anyway per AP’s results so it’s a non issue.
At this very moment 3 votes separate them for first loser status.
Personally I’m hoping metro areas push meatball to third place.
Ahead of Iowa Caucus, 68% of CNN’s Iowa Respondents Believe Joe Biden Stole the Election — Did NOT Win Legitimately in 2020!
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/01/ahead-iowa-caucus-68-cnns-iowa-respondents-believe/
What? How does CNN explain this? Will they spin it as high election denier turnout for Trump? Delusional deplorables turn out for Trump.
Hats off to the caucus goers from the Iowa Great Lakes region
Iowa is in the Great Lake Region.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Lakes_region
Iowa has a Great Lakes region??
That’s what Iowans call the Lake Okoboji area.
Oh that’s exactly what is going to happen
Get the Dems to sa store President Trump
I’m already sick

The Haley vote blocks in the metro areas are indicative of organized dem action. Strength of her voting block correlates with degree of institutional lib action packs.
Libs as individuals don’t do much, but put them in hives, and they swarm tightly under leadership.
Excellent post.
This will backfire on Trikki Nikki. She’s toast.
If she comes in third she is done. Well she was done anyways, but she’s done earlier now.
All she had going for her was a media-created perception of momentum, which was critical to her competing for second in NH. Third in Iowa absolutely torpedoes that.
She isn’t even eligible for Nevada. So a third place tonight means it’s over. And that means the donor class is going to have to pour more money into the Meatball sinkhole.
Seems she came in 3rd.
Oooooh I hope you’re right.
My one experience running in an election was just that, crushed by the dem voting block I was.
Silly me, I thought folks might vote on actual articulated policy ideas. Nope.
Don’t fall for the “talk policy” bull roar.
Haley was ahead in the two counties with the two major universities. That explains everything!
#SH*TLIBS
Expect to see more of the Obamas and Hillary Clinton warning us that Trump is a dictator. lol Those pathetic people. Hillary’s probably drowning her sorrows right now. Mooshelle is bingeing on cookie dough. Barry is smoking some doobies.
It’s all they have to sell.
That’s right. They can’t argue anything about how he actually ran the country. And it makes me wonder why they think this new tactic will work, because we have already seen Trump operating as President and he didn’t exhibit any dictator tendencies. 🙂 But clearly the 2016 tactic of trying to convince everyone that “Trump can’t win” isn’t going to work this year.
That and Hugo Boss. Lol
… and instead of living in the White House,
Biden will be living in a van down by the river!
Tonight President Donald Trump delivers a first round knock blow to his Republican opponents but the words we should be hearing to paraphrase Howard Cosell, “Down goes Biden. Down goes Biden. Down goes Biden. ”
Folks, the Trump Snowball Express is departing beautiful Iowa headed for New Hampshire. Look out D.C! Boy howdy are we pissed.
The NH primary is being rigged with Democrat voters pouring in for Haley. So it’s basically meaningless though the media will portray it as the end for Trump. Haley’s last stand will be her home state of South Carolina. She will lose and that will put an end to her candidacy.
Frankly I’m shocked DNCNN would even ask this question or post these results.
“Ahead of Iowa Caucus, 68% of CNN’s Iowa Respondents Believe Joe Biden Stole the Election — Did NOT Win Legitimately in 2020!”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/01/ahead-iowa-caucus-68-cnns-iowa-respondents-believe/
Yes. I’m not as shocked they asked the question as much as I’m surprised they REPORTED the results!
CBS is trying to generate more evidence for the “Extremist Election Denier MAGA” narrative.
We have to be using the term “FRAUD DENIERS” for all of the willfully blind useful idiots.
Well done Iowa Patriots! Way to get the party started!
❤️🇺🇸THANK YOU IOWA!!🇺🇸❤️
It’s the final percentages that count.
Everyone calling it early to minimize/gloss over a huge win?
GOP RINOs recruited Democrats, not to win for Haley, rather to keep Trump’s numbers/percentage down. I saw it in 1992 in NH against Buchanan. Buchanan won. I was there.
Only 3% of the vote in per AP.
It’s statistical calculations based on number of people attending, percentage reporting so far, probably some exit polling. But I’ll tell you I’m not feeling so secure yet, I won’t until I see the final percentages. At least it’s more difficult to screw with the caucus vote counts. I actually worry about the regular primaries, especially in Dem-controlled areas.
It’s not really fun being Number 1 when there is no Number 2!
Still laughing at all the MSM doing the “but the weather, but the weather” routine.
It’s friggin Iowa! They average lows in Jan in the mid to low teens.
Last time I was in that region, I literally watched a guy in shorts, a flannel shirt and flipflops stroll across the street from his apartment to the gas station to grab some snacks.
It was a slightly chilly -5.
I lived in Iowa a couple of years and your body acclimates to the cold. I rarely wore a coat in winter. Snow and cold does not stop society in Iowa.
North of Iowa in Minnesota, we woke to our thermometer reading -18 today. 50 degrees below freezing.
Hubby and I went into town 30 miles away and he only wore a zip-up hoodie — no coat.
Of course I wore 56 layers, just in case.
Originally from Wisco and we sled and ski in minus ten degrees.
Yeah, I’m from formerly conservative NE. Trust me, VT gets bitterly cold too. People in those areas just accept it, deal with it, and move on!!!
Nice try msm!!! Ha!!! Idiots!!!
3% of votes counted.
That’s not reassuring
The never-Trumpers are wasting their money. Bow to the inevitable, you fools.
Let’s Go Brandon!
Too bad it’s not winner-takes-all.
Thought it was “winner takes all”- unless it’s contested?
In Iowa they divide the delegates proportionately. Trump will get around 20 or so if his percentage holds.
A prayer request for the folks in beautiful Iowa. You are the best.
Trump rocks Iowa with 70% of the vote. IN A BLIZZARD!
And so it begins…
The impeached him twice
Indicted him 4 times
Raided his house with the FBI and buried him with lawsuits
The deep state did everything it could to stop him, but President Trump just won the Iowa caucus
MAGA is BACK🔥
https://truthsocial.com/@DC_Draino/111763075069222432
It’s time for these other GOP candidates to drop out so we can unify the party around President Trump
Enough is enough
Stop wasting hundreds of millions on ego campaigns and start using it to fund ballot harvesting operations
https://truthsocial.com/@DC_Draino/111763157444575823
But pray and fast. I do NOT trust them!
I am nervous because it’s only 3% counted, and now we’re down to 51%.
i thought we had it in the bag in 2020. I went to bed thinking we won! (We did).
but Cheaters gonna cheat. **bites nails***
But the big (well, for Iowa) urban counties have come in already so it’s mostly the Trump-dominating rural ones that are left.
Good, i see the numbers are climbing again. I don’t know Iowa very well, but I know libs and they are unhinged.
I think we all still have so much trauma from the 2020 theft-lection.
Of the more urban, non-Trump leaning areas, only Scott Co where Davenport is located, is still outstanding. Would expect the rest of the state to go for Trump. More info: https://www.wsj.com/election/2024/primary/state/iowa
Check out this entrance poll – almost 90% of Iowa Trump voters don’t think Biden won legitimately in 2020
That photo, 😄😄😄
Smart people.
Mass psychosis that picture of Ronillary is flat out scary going to plug in some three stooges to try and get it out of my head have a great night and enjoy the Win tonight
R.D.
That is awesome. After the 2020 election I was talking with a program director and mentioned that the election wasn’t settled. She gave me the most surprised, condescending look and said, “Surely you don’t believe this nonsense about the election being rigged, do you?”
I hope she sees that stat, and I hope all demo-socialists heroes go to to jail.
Is this heaven? No. It’s Iowa!
If Vivek stays in, you know for sure he is a Deep State Soros asset.
We’ve known that for some time now.
If VR was a Soros plant why would VR publicly trash…
A: Climate change
B: Affirmative Action
C: Ukraine winning
Because he’s a liar and a phony?
Each time I check the results Trump’s percentage has decreased. I hope we are not celebrating prematurely. It looks like Des Moines hasn’t reported yet.
Johnson County has 10% reporting and Haley is in the lead there. The University of Iowa is in that county (in Iowa City), so I suspect there were plenty of paid Democrat caucus-crashers. I wish I could see a better breakdown of exactly which caucuses in that county have reported. There’s another large university in Ames which is in Story County, they haven’t sent any results yet but I’m expecting Haley to be in the lead there as well.
Johnson County is deep blue. So, I’m sure that Democrats got together and voted for Nikki and from the way the voting is going, the main people voting for Nikki are Democrats. LOL! DeSantis is doing better than I thought, but it looks like the real “Republican” voter contests are between Trump and DeSantis.
Im’ feeling better now, there was a major dump and now Trump is back up to 54%. Maybe I just need to go do something else and come back in an hour. 🙂 In 2016 I couldn’t even watch the election night coverage.
Trump is slightly ahead in Story County now. I think for the next primaries I’m just not going to watch until like 90% of the votes have been reported. 🙂
Calm.
Johnson County flipped to the main man PDJT with 86% precincts reporting.
I’m lighting some incense now. 🙂
You can be sure there will be no sharp drops. They’ll rig the cheats to go gradually.
Real America Voice reported that only 3% of dems crossed over to vote in the Repub primary.
So not much monkey business it seems. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those dems crossed over to vote for Trump (not Nikki monkey business).
It was too cold for them. lol
Most democrats in Iowa are decent people. Misguided sure, but still decent.
Dems crossed over…trust me as someone who was in NH for Buchanan in ’92 & ’96.
It appears that those tables got turned over rather quickly. When Sundance says, “Go time!” folks listen!
If they voted for Obama the second time and Biden, they suck.
Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit”
@Peoples_Pundit
Jeff Roe is millions of dollars richer, Republican donors are hundreds of millions of dollars less rich, and Ron DeSantis got crushed.
The credibility of so many has been obliterated.

Everyone dance…until the water pipes break…somewhere.
DeSantis campaign calling the early calls for President Trump “election interference”.
LOL
Oh, the desperation…
and this tweet did not age well at all:
Actually, I don’t disagree with evil Mitchell… this gives the deep state another talking-point going into NH to bring up why Trump is illegitimate in this cycle…Oh Lord hear our prayer
OMG Bill Mitchell is flipping out. In another tweet he rages that half of Iowa doesn’t want Trump. Well just look back at 2016, Cruz won the Iowa caucuses that year, but Trump won the nomination. Iowa participates in the selection of the GOP nominee, but they don’t control it.
If the election board starts reporting the results publicly then it’s OK to start making predictions about the winner.
According to Billy, DaMeatball was juuuuuuusssst about to pull ahead.
Maybe.
First time @CNN has gotten the news right in years!!….
I spent the entire day on X (twitter) reposting facts about Vivek since he was getting so much hype and I was getting a bit worried. I guess I’m a real Trump keyboard warrior! Thank God, it will be a hard road but the USA needs him desperately.
The rats have taken this culture down towards absolute hell and far as I can tell DJT is the only leader who has a chance to fight off the devils.
I for one am glad DeceptiCON RON! appears to have trounced Mitt-in-a-Skirt. That woman deserves N O T H I N G !
Yup
I never listen to that creep Buck. Rush would be and is turning over in his grave
That’s a good one!
A well deserved Victory Lap for the boss!!!
Buck Sexton makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. I’ve always listened to that and never been wrong.
Ok Ronna and Mitch and the rest of you worthless feckless rinos, Time to step aside and watch the Trump train steam by. Your days of ignoring the wishes of the base are coming to an end. I hope you heard the Train a coming..
I’m elated that PDJT has been declared the winner. However, I have reservations over all of the enemedia calling the race literally minutes after voting began. Is this a ploy to disenfranchise those voters who have yet to cast their votes?
Is it a ploy to try and prevent the win passing the 50% threshold?
The dems are evil and cunning. If there is a way that they can still manipulate the results, the will deploy it.
Just being cautiously optimistic.
☝️☝️☝️yes and yes
They are just continuing to condition the masses to accept the idea that actually counting the votes is unnecessary.
Our VSGPDJT just took the lead in Johnson County, where my alma mater is. The place is uber-liberal compared to my time in the 80’s.
Yes, I’ve been watching Johnson County because if anywhere there would be cross over votes for Nikki Haley, it would be there and she WAS leading at first.
Cspan 1 TV is showing counting Caucus votes.
It looks like there’s a horse race of sorts for 2nd. Much closer than anticipated there. No momentum to be had, I suspect.
Aside from Trump, that is.
Delegates are won “PROPORTIONALLY”…Is this why they called the race so EARLY?, to discourage more Trump voters from casting a vote since he “already won”???
☝️☝️☝️Interesting take Teresa
If you think about it, it’s not going to dissuade voters from voting for Trump. They had arrived at the caucus sites well early. And 2016 is a good example, for 15 months we were told Trump couldn’t win right up into election day when all of the media was predicting an easy Hillary win, but that didn’t stop us from voting. Because we knew. 🙂
Trump crushing it already. Some counties Trump has 85+% of the vote. ULTRA MAGA!
Vivek tried to save you all and make sure they don’t harm Trump by voting for him. Little weezel back in yur hole. Nikki tried to save you by reaching over the aisle to the most despicable group of Dems evert to take their money and votes. She is a skunk. DeSantis talked a lot of trash gonna be hard to take back. Good riddance to FOX as well all day hyping Nikki. Just sick. Best thing that happened was no Mike lindell My pillow commercials every 10 minutes… A good night for independent voters not the GOPe hyenas left in the cold with only scraps from the lions meal.
Mike Lindell sacrificed his business for us.
Like President Trump he’s a true patriot
What did you sacrifice?
I know compared to him mine was minimal
You just reminded me – gotta order a couple of mypillows.
The washcloths are luxurious. They were so nice we ordered towels. The slippers are nice, too.
excellent
🙂 Thumbs up
The chyron on Sky News is running the news non-stop that President Trump won the Iowa Caucus. They have a replay of some show on, so they have not addressed it yet.
Some “U.S. Elections Expert” for Sky News is on whining about how bully Trump and his cult beat up DeceptiCON RON!
Almost had me crying.
NOT! 🙂
