It’s difficult to know what to believe. I remember watching his videos back in July. Then to have Influencers on YouTube, who were buddies of his saying that his videos were not to be trusted. That he was now a Ukrainian plant. Used To draw people out to support him so that Ukrainians could get your IP addresses etc. and target you. it was a big thing that went on for weeks. And then crickets. Children playing adult games and a big clue into the competency of the people running the game. If it’s true he’s dead then as American citizens we should be very aware of the lengths the globalists cabal will go to keep control of their narrative and how much our corrupt government is involved. I suspect it is both. I doubt our gov orchestrated the arrest of Lira Gonzalez. Logistics would point to someone under Zelenski’s command. However, our gov did not request his release to US authorities, nor did they prevent or request prevention of his torture. So, tacit acceptance or approval.

Exactly. I wrote a comment above about the same issue, and wonder if he’s really in something like ‘witness protection’ as his internet role is no longer of use. When he was last arrested, he was allegedly given back his passport and driver’s license, and then made that VERY public announcement of trying to get across the Hungarian border. None of this passes the smell test.
You do know that he has a wife and daughter in Ukraine don’t you? He might have been trying to cover for their escape by advertising his own. Just sayin’ that his motives may have had something to do with that, and since we weren’t party to his actual situation, we don’t know.
BTW, his coverage of the war in the Ukraine was very good, especially when he gave the man on the street view on the supposed attacks by the Russians which were not taking place.

Why is it that when someone dies, if there are unanswered questions, do some people jump to accusing the deceased of espionage and/or deceptive behavior? In years past, immediately after a death was announced–in Gonzalo’s case a murder–respect and tribute was shown to the deceased and to his family. He or she was eulogized, except if he or she was a proven scoundrel when alive. Is it too boring for folks to talk about the good of this man right now? My goodness. We don’t know if his family has received his remains from the Ukraine thugs yet. Gonzalo has not had a funeral yet, and people are laying suspicions on him, adding details to his last months of life that they cannot prove. Have some decorum, have some respect…please. And to those who are building a case against the integrity of Gonzalo Lira, those who are typing accusations and nefarious suspicions about a man now deceased because he was murdered by his jailers…did you KNOW Gonzalo personally? When one has pneumonia and is denied treatment in a timely manner, or substandard treatment, chances are they will die. Given the lies of the Ukrainian authorities on how he was treated that he exposed, it seems doubtful they gave him any treatment at all.
How he was treated in prison, and cause for his being imprisoned in general constitutes war crimes. Zelensky is no better than Kim Jon Un in North Korea. Yes, he knew very well the fate of the Chilean dissidents that just “vanished” (desaparecidos) during Chile political turmoil in the 70’s.
He actually addressed that and the video where he talked about being on the road and seeking refuge in Hungary was not released until he was supposed to have crossed over. He wanted some video documentation in case he was arrested again so people would know what happened to him.
In that last video he explained that he investigated the possibility of crossing into Russia but concluded that it couldn’t be successful without a trusted and competent guide, which he had no luck in finding.
We do not know what circumstances he was operating under. A wife and child, in Ukraine, would account for him doing whatever it took to ensure their safety.

But there are MANY questions about his situation. He was arrested a few years ago, released and apparently told not to leave Kharkov. He didn’t leave, and continued to broadcast his channel. He was arrested again last summer, and when released, Ukrainian officials gave him his passport and driver’s license. Somewhat unusual, considering the history. He allegedly drives his motorcycle to the Hungarian border, and tweets, videos, and uploads on to the internet, his plan to cross the border. Would you actually do that, if you were trying to sneak out of a country? Then he is not heard from again officially, with regard to any capture, etc. All further information comes from anonymous sources. There has always been speculation that Gonzalo was not the ‘dissident’ as he appeared, but instead a ‘hook’ that was being used to flush out others. I wonder, frankly, if he is truly dead, or in witness protection as his role was no longer of use. By the way, Gonzalo held dual citizenship with the US and Chile.

“I was saddened but not shocked to learn that Ukraine killed Gonzalo Lira. They are monsters and a threat to freedom. But wait, you might say. Gonzalo died of pneumonia. How is that the fault of Ukraine? Very easy. Gonzalo should not have been in prison, he did not receive adequate medical care, he was tortured and extorted while in prison. When Gonzalo was released from prison last August he tried to flee to Hungary. He tried to call me and ask advice about what to do, but it was around 3am and I missed the call because my phone was silenced so I could sleep. I mourn still that I was not able to speak with him.”

If you read the link Sundance posted, it goes to what Lira posted just before he attempted to escape Ukraine into Hungary. You will see that it is information about what had been done to him in prison and the humane rights denied to him by the Ukrainian Regime that he wanted the world to know.
Yes he could have probably kept silent and taken the risk to get across more safely. Yet if he didn’t win that gamble, the truth would not have come out about how the Zelensky thugs treated a US journalist not in their pocket like Biden’s propaganda MSM.
