As we cycle through the third anniversary of our original deplatforming, we have just learned that our server fees will be increasing 25% as we enter year four of CTH 2.0. Inflation is hitting everywhere, I guess.
Due to direct targeting, without your support we could not exist. Retaining our ability to research, share and discuss ongoing events is my #1 priority. Thank you again for your friendship and support.
There are currently two methods to support CTH 2.0, our ongoing mission and discussion. However, depending on your browser settings (and ad blocker software) the second option may not be visible. There is a screengrab below showing what I am talking about.
The alternative financial support appears directly below the PayPal link in a yellow box as highlighted. Some have said browser settings can block visibility, and I have also heard it doesn’t show up on some mobile devices. I am not sure what the technical issue might be other than ISP filters (now becoming more problematic) and/or adblocking software.
Due to my personal requirements for Treehouse user privacy, and my firm stance on not retaining user data lists, the alternative system does not provide a subscriber option. If you use the alternative support function, each time you would want to support CTH, you have to click it and reenter your information. No data is saved.
Financial support through PayPal remains the most efficient and stable way to support CTH. I know they have received a lot of criticism, much of it well placed; however, my own experience with PayPal has been solid. When CTH was deplatformed and under attack from Big Tech (Eye of Sauron), to their credit PayPal stood firm and supported CTH in providing their service.
While my experience with PayPal seems to run counter to the outcome described by others, the unexpected supportive position from PayPal made a strong impression on me. Again, perhaps unique, not sure why, but my experience with them has been very good. If that ever changed, I would immediately let you know. The data security and convenience of their system is also solid and useful.
Regardless, there are two options: (1) PayPal and (2) Proprietary. Due to legal caution, and the data privacy construct, the Proprietary alternative has a 30-day access lag built in. Meaning, if you use that option, in approximately 30 days the funds become accessible; whereas support through the preferred PayPal option is immediate.
November is the anniversary month when all the contract fees for server hosting, data-processing, autoscaling, data security and background stuff associated with the building and maintenance of CTH 2.0 are paid. Thanks to everyone who helps offset these costs, our voice remains in the fight.
We are committed to staying strong, fiercely protective of user data privacy, and anti-fragile so that we can withstand big tech (Google) targeting.

I’ve been reading here for a long time, but I seldom comment. I have been so enriched by Sundance’s wisdom and caring, I can’t imagine not having TCTH to read. I also love the comments, especially the one-liners. Hopefully, I donated a small amount at least once (I may have donated twice) using the alternative donation site.
I just set up a monthly with PayPal. I have been using PP since 2002 and I’ve never had an issue. Nowadays the picking and choosing becomes more difficult because everything has been tainted in one way or another to adapt to the new normal. My policy is to listen to the still small voice and carry on. God can use even the devil to do His work. Keep on keeping on Sundance.
I found this site years ago after the great Rushbo commented on it. We lost Rush but we still have Sundance. Thanks for all the work, information and positive support. My day always starts and ends with CTH. I also use Paypal and have never had an issue. Ask and you shall receive.
How about Venmo, Zelle, or (gasp) a check?
I deleted my PayPal a year ago, sorry to say.
I, too, deleted my PP account a few years ago, but PP accepts most credit card transactions without an account. My donation to The Last Refuge went through easily enough.

I stopped using PayPal because they stopped allowing it to pay for weapons and/or ammunition. That is a Deal Breaker for me. Now, I donated; but I had to “verify” my phone #. Then they used it to say my “account has been set up….” Sundance, you need to understand this…

I have been a regular reader here ( usually a couple of times a day) since Sundance was covering the brutal murder of the young girl in Mississippi and then the Trayvon Martin case and I have referred dozens of friends. I am ashamed to say I have never contributed any $ until today. I set up a nominal monthly contribution with PayPal. Everyone who appreciates Sundance and his team should do the same. No matter how small or large your contribution, you should set it up monthly so we don’t lose this site. Along with The Warroom ( Steve Bannon) and Jeffrey Kuhner on WRKO radio in the mornings, Sundance keeps me informed and motivated. ( I have been to a dozen Trump rallies and his 2017 Inauguration, as well as being moderately involved in local and state politics. I am constantly sharing with anyone who will listen to me what I learn on this site. I feel much better now that I have committed to a monthly albeit modest contribution. Just do it! May God bless and protect Sundance and Menagerie and all the Treepers!

Doing business with pay pal is like drinking bud light or using wikipedia. How much does pay pal take off the top? 30%? There must be another company you can use that doesn’t hate us.

Surely you can use that without dropping a comment that suggests no such alternative exists.
Nor does Paypal take anywhere near 30%.
I am a monthly subscriber. Recently, there is a problem with constant pop-up ads, usually blocking the comments section. Can’t this be fixed? Very frustrating.
Monthly PayPal donation setup. Easy Peasy. I also appreciate your testimony on PayPal. I love and have continued to use it, but until now I have felt kind of slimey with each purchase—like I was selling out Budlight and Target style. I am “letting go” of that feeling tonight— thank you.

I have had been a PayPal user for at least 5 years, and have nothing but positive experiences with them. I appreciate having the ability to set up a recurring payment to CTH so that if something comes up, or I get busy and forget, my support to CTH continues!

As a Brave browser user, just going to post that unless I turn off the “Brave shields” feature, it blocks the little yellow box / you can’t see the alternative donation option. Once I turn it off, it shows up and is working. I turn it back on again after.
