I am somewhat confused. After McCarthy was ousted last week, Matt Gaetz stood outside on the capital steps and when questioned, said that he would support Scalise if he chose to run for Speaker but he had not spoken to him yet. So, is Gaetz simply not aware that Scalise is worse than McCarthy?

Current AG Ken Paxton knows what that is like, he was victimized recently by his “own” party in the Texas House(same deal, different House Speaker in the form of Dade Phelan), and speaks of it in some detail, i.e., how it works, in his post-impeachment interview with Tucker Carlson.
