The only thing I can come up with, and I am by no means justifying it here, is that maybe Iran is the end game. Israel sees the US pouring money into Iran. Iran is actively seeking a nuke and has sworn to wipe Israel off the map. Maybe Iran is very close to a nuke which means the total destruction of Israel.
To attack Iran preemptively would bring worldwide condemnation but tie Iran to this horrific attack by Hamas and Israel has a justification to go to war with Iran and the full support of all of Israel and much if the world. I am a retired military officer and live near and and use the services of an active military base. It is clear that our military is demoralized. Dress, demeanor, and professionalism are down the tubes. Yesterday I went to the base and the slovenly dressed, unshaven, military security guard in uniform at the gate, just glanced at my ID, waived me through with no salute, have a nice day, kiss my ass, or anything. When I arrived at the commissary I noted a fat (at least 30 pounds overweight) slovenly dressed female soldier in uniform with a baby on her hip. I said to myself “No way can we win a war with this.” Tens of thousands of terrorist fighters are streaming across our borders and undoubtedly joining up with trained and organized domestic terrorist like Antifa. I too live near an active miliary base. Grandson recently promoted and we went to promotion ceremony on the base. The men and women were dressed well, all looked fit and fine. They paraded around together with military band, it was awesome – gave me chills.
The base, however, needed an uplift. Barrack (buildings) were shoddy in general as were some of the grounds.

I know very little of the dynamics here, and humbly posit some questions to the many here who know so much more.
The Powers That Should Not Be started a proxy war in Ukraine where only they themselves, not the American people, had any demonstrable interest.
Their interest was 1) the $$ they make from corruption in that country and 2) the $$ they always need to pay off the warmonger apparatus. That beast must always be fed in their view.
The Gaetz action in Congress is starting to severely define the fact that American people have in majority been firmly against burning our tax $$ in a proxy war where we have zero interest.

I looked for the linked info below for two reasons.
First was a comment by an Israeli lady who said someone in her home had a gun, but what could they do against 10 invaders. With an AR-15, they could have done all that was needed. BUT, amazingly, as I have found below, they could not have legally owned one of those.
The other was a view from perhaps a third floor window in Israel of black suited Hamas with white headbands in the back of a large, white, most likely stolen pickup truck stopped in the street below, probably to block the road and fire on Israeli vehicles. They were sitting ducks to anyone above.
But the Israeli taking the video wouldn’t have had anything more than a pistol at best making any engagement very risky.

Although perhaps controversial in other countries, the “good guy with a gun” theory has seemingly proven itself in Israel over the past two decades. For instance, armed civilians ended large-scale terror killings in Beersheba (March 22, 2022) and Ariel (November 15, 2022), while preventing deadly attacks in Gush Etzion (March 31, 2022), Jerusalem (July 19, 2022), and the Judean Desert (October 30, 2022).
Other major attacks that were stopped with the help of armed civilians include the 2008 bulldozer attack in Jerusalem, a 2016 stabbing spree at a supermarket in the West Bank, and the January 28, 2023, shooting near the City of David.
Indeed, a high percentage, if not a majority of Palestinian terrorists who are caught in the act of or attempting to murder Israelis, are swiftly neutralized by private citizens carrying weapons, according to an estimate by Israel Hayom.
Yet, contrary to popular conception, only a tiny minority of Israelis own firearms. In this piece, we will explain the Jewish state’s strict gun control laws.
Israel’s Gun Laws: No Constitutional “Right to Bear Arms”
Recent figures published by the National Security Ministry indicate that barely 150,000 Israelis have a personal gun license, or some 2.6% percent of the entire adult population (15-64). This figure excludes weapons held by IDF soldiers, police officers, border guards, and other security personnel — as well as approximately 400,000 illegal firearms, the vast majority circulating in Arab communities.
In 2023, the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, advanced legislation meant to tackle illegal firearm possession, and the Israel Police has carried out near-daily raids with an eye towards seizing illegal weapons.
Israel’s Firearm Law of 1949 and its related ordinances do not recognize any “right to bear arms,” and private gun ownership is subject to many restrictions. For one, civilians can only apply for a pistol, and rifles are wholly off-limits. Furthermore, as a general rule, civilians can have no more than 50 bullets in their possession at any given time.

Yes, you can inform the US State Department of your intended trip to a particular country, but in NO WAY should you understand their knowledge of you in country equates to a launch of a Marine expeditionary unit to rescue you.
