WFLA news broadcasts in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Recapping Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign trip in the area, the broadcasters were brutally honest.
According to the reporter on the ground, about 200 people showed up for DeSantis, and things get worse as the political analyst explains the status of nonexistent campaign funds and donors pulling away from the governor in his doomed bid to reestablish the Bush era in national politics. WATCH:

Why yes, Meatball, a lot of the money is going to lawyers. That’s what happens when your political opponents prosecute you for being more popular than their candidate. Don’t think voters haven’t noticed that you seem perfectly fine with Democrats prosecuting Republicans if they’re worried they can’t beat them in an election. If you won’t even stand up for your fellow party members why would we believe you’d ever stand up for us?
80 million people voted Republican in 2020. Most of them believe the election was stolen. Now they see the man who the election was stolen from being prosecuted by the same people who stole the election. But the Republican party and all of its candidates for president keep pretending the election was fine and that its perfectly acceptable to prosecute political opponents if their name is Orange Man Bad.
This cognitive dissonance is why none of their candidates can gain any traction with voters. They live in an entirely different world than us. They see things that aren’t there and they ignore things that are obviously true. People aren’t going to vote for someone who lives in a make believe world with no connection to their daily lives. We need to replace these people with people who have stopped pretending and live in the real world.
The GOPe candidates can’t admit that the 2020 election was stolen, and that key state electoral systems are compromised and/or rigged.
If they admit that, than they also have to come up with a serious plan to “fix” that corruption. They don’t want to address the corruption in any way because while their campaign’s political ideas do not benefit from that corruption–their personal offshore bank accounts do reap sizeable rewards.
We as a nation are going to have to address all of that offshore corruption. Whether through direct seizure of island nations, hacking into their systems to zero out the accounts, seizure of offshore bank officials with threats…I don’t know how a future government claws back every dime possible from these decades of crime.
