The Dept of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) waiting until Friday afternoon to drop the latest statistics on illegal alien apprehensions at the U.S. southern border. [DATA HERE] As a current surge is underway, the August apprehension rate was 304,162, the highest of any month so far on record.

As an example of the current surge. The city of Eagle Pass, Texas, has a population of 28,000 residents with a total of 58 municipal police officers. Mayor Rolando Salinas of Eagle Pass recently told The New York Post they are bracing for “anywhere between 4,000 to 9,000 migrants” over the next few days.
(NYP) – The tiny city has been besieged by a huge influx of around 11,500 migrants in the last 10 days, a record setting surge.
For comparison, the entire Southern Border set a record when 10,000 people attempted to cross from Mexico in a single day in May.
Salinas signed a new law Wednesday night in anticipation of the influx, making it illegal to trespass in a local park and golf course often used by migrants to enter the city. It will also allow state troopers to arrest migrants who trespass on city property.
“I’ve never seen people cross like this,” said the mayor, who is also a life-long Eagle Pass resident. “If they’re going to come, they must enter through the port of entry. I know people are desperate, but this is a nation of laws.
“Our cops are overwhelmed. Our firefighters are responding to calls for care for migrants. We don’t have the resources to handle this. “We’ve seen robberies, they’ve broken into homes.” (read more)

Down here in Naples life continues without interruption or consequences and many are aware of theses issues and doubt if many here think they will be adversely effected. I am not in that crowd.
Prices here are certainly high on housing,insurance, food,everything. No matter where you go, whether it’s out to eat, walgreens,cvs ,walmart and certainly landscaping many, many jobs are filled by spanish speaking people, Haitians and others recent arrivals

I would like to know from TCH people – do you know where these people are going? Where I am we have more homeless, but they seem to (a) speak English and (b) be on drugs. For awhile my local university was housing them in the dormitories. The children had new bicycles and for “desperate” people they all had newer clothes than I. They had cash to spend on junk food. I saw them at the drive-up window of a liquor store late at night buying candy and junk food. They were in the car lane at the window with no car.
These people are not desperate. They can afford to go back and forth between their home nation and the US unlike many citizens who can’t afford to visit their family in nursing home or go a few towns away to visit family. They are commiting a political action and it’s like a paid vacation for many. For the ones sleeping on the street – the end rewards are great plus they are like heroes in their home nation. If they die in the effort they will be given hero honors. We need to stop rewarding them.
When they smile and wave at the camera they know full well that we don’t want them. A criminal takes advantage of your civilized nature to get over on you. This is what they are doing.
Many of them hide as best they can. Here’s one for you: Many years ago (90s) my boss at the time, a former Army Captain, hit a car on his way home one day. In town, 35mph zone, he told me that as the other car rolled out in front of him (ran a stop sign) he could see 4-5 adults in the car before his jeep hit their car. Several moments later after his head and the dust cleared, there was only ONE man (Hispanic) anywhere in view. The others had disappeared as fast as they could. All illegal probably, wanted to be lone gone before the police got there. That’s just how they do. I’ve also worked with or socialized among a fairly large number of Hispanics, in Texas and here in NC, and after a while you can begin to see how things work. Good people a lot of them, but the bottom line is (in many places but of course not all) they HAVE to hide because they’re here ILLEGALLY. In practically any city in America, one has NO IDEA how many illegals are there now and how many more are gonna slip in tomorrow… and the next day, and the next…

A real-estate friend told me today about a family from Africa where the brother came to America years ago and worked three jobs to build up enough income to buy a house – the sister came recently and has a free condo for herself and six kids and a car and lots of other stuff and all she had to do was claim that the men of her tribe were abusive, even though they weren’t. Now she is getting attention from men here who see that she has money, and like that quality in her….
So it sounds like, in the past, you come to America for the American Dream; now you come for the free money, on condition that you break up your family and slander your relatives?
They’re on the agriculture land here. They come in packs of a dozen or two, camp on the perimeter of the field they’re working, and travel with one guy who speaks English. They leer at me at gas stations and it’s gotten bad enough that there are areas I’m actively avoiding going with my young daughters.
There are also children being dumped in the local schools in clumps once a month, also around a dozen at a time and usually roughly the same age. They don’t speak a word of English and one took an entire class out with RSV the week she was put in with them.
There is a house full of Spanish speaking only working age males across the street from me. They party regularly. I ran into one drunk and confused standing in my driveway. Others use my lawn to make phone calls.
Up the street there is another home where they are all working age males, however, some of them speak English. They periodically move a lot of cars around in the wee hours of the night. I think their business or side gig is criminal. They also party regularly.
The rest of my neighbors are couples or families except me.
Let me say it again, what we are all witnessing is the Cloward-Piven strategy implemented by our own Gov’t with one of the goals being to fully realize the scenario laid out in the fictional book “The Camp of the Saints”, a novel written in 1973 detailing the fall of western civilization through uncontrolled mass immigration from 3rd world countries. Tell me I’m wrong.
Here in AZ, in September 2021, our sheriff held a meeting with concerned citizens. We were 9 months into the Biden regime. He said he was in touch with all the border state sheriffs every single day. He said that at that time his office and those of other border state sheriffs estimated the ACTUAL number of illegals entering this country to be 7 to 10 times the number of apprehensions. At that time, the number of apprehensions was about 1.5 million. Projecting to the end of 2021, that would have meant about 2 million apprehensions and about 14 to 20 MILLION illegals ACTUALLY ARRIVING in our country during 2021.
Illegal crossings have been increasing since then, so this number of 7.5 million apprehensions is believable. However, the far more important number is the ACTUAL number of illegals entering our country. Using the sheriff’s multipliers of 7 to 10 times, the number of ACTUAL ENTRIES is on the order of 50 to 75 MILLION since Biden took office.
It is very possible the number is even higher because law enforcement is now completely overwhelmed and the wall has gates in it that are welded open, whereas back in September 2021 law enforcement was much less overwhelmed and the wall was still intact.
As a side note, the sheriff told us that the way our laws work, sheriffs can’t arrest illegals for the crime of entering our country illegally. The illegal would have to commit a (second) crime here that fell under the sheriff’s jurisdiction in order for the sheriff to arrest him.
As another side note, Trump used that same multiplier for actual arrivals being 7 to 10 times the number of apprehensions in a speech, so it’s common knowledge among the people close to the matter.
Ya it’s so many millions more. I estimated 65 milion illegals in the US. Add in the visa overstays and visa abuse of taking jobs, OPT, H1B, H2B and so many other allowances. How about arresting them for trespassing over the private land of American citizens?? How about arresting them for jaywalking?? How about arresting them for shoplifting?? How about arresting them for littering, public defecation, loitering, or any other annoyance laws?? How about harassing the “churches” who are trafficking humans?? How about harassing the bus companies in their county to make sure that they and their drivers are in compliance with the laws? How about passing an ordinance that requires these bus companies to pay a fee in order to do X,Y,Z. How about inspecting the buses to see if there are drugs on them??
There are all kinds of ways that our local governments extract fees, harass legal citizens, and make life miserable for us. I am sure that, if they really wanted to, they could make their county a “no go zone” for the human trafficking industry.
The way to deal with them is to remove all incentives for them to stay in the US. No jobs, no welfare, no food, no money. They will leave en masse.
