I’ve been quiet, because I’ve been angry. The political events of the past four days have made me seriously reconsider options for correction. The politically motivated arrest of U.S. President Donald Trump is a line crossed I never thought we would experience in our lifetime.
We have watched international politics with a semi-detached view; at least, I will admit that I have. Watching, looking at arrests of political opponents from the safety of our devices and the comfort of reference points that always seemed distant, over there, certainly not here.
Perhaps, just perhaps, globalism has hit that metastatic phase where every cell and every organ in our global world is now being attacked by a virus no longer contained at origin; I don’t know. What I do know is that our landscape has changed; where we stand as a nation is entirely different, yet we seemingly never moved an inch.
It’s almost like we are standing on a stage and the backdrop changed behind us. If we take a national selfie, everything looks completely different. When I look at the resulting picture, I do not like this image of myself, this place, this perspective, and yet… I am exactly the same.
Life has taught me the best thing to do when I feel a sense of rage is to get quiet. Prudence and wisdom teach you to lower the blood flow, evaluate the external and proceed with caution, because the action that flows from the rage mindset generates collateral damage. Serious collateral damage. So, I shut down, walk away, turn my eyes to the truest of all true things, and pray.
There was a time when mules were of great value in the creation of what sustains all human community life. Mules that pulled ploughshares were evaluated with a level of discernment that would rival modern NFL drafts.
Entire communities, often spread miles apart, knew the strength of each other person’s mules. Auctions would bring people from great distances, and there were quiet men of great knowledge who understood the invisible traits that qualified the best mules.
The best, the absolute best, were held with a regard even more valuable than the land they walked. The remarkable thing about these mules was their diversity in physical appearance. Ultimately, what made the great mules of such value was the part that could not be seen, the part the quiet men looked for.
Those mules were like the men who recognized them, and the crowd would whisper to each other in muted tones as they watched the subtle yet deliberate movement of the quiet men with great intensity. Words would be spoken of a silent language that would take place between the quiet men and the mules afore them. There was something invisible being measured and evaluated. Eventually, decisions were made.
The hands behind the plows were ultimately the beneficiaries of the advice from the quiet men, and those calloused hands would become quiet men themselves in later years.
When the collar reached the shoulder, the best mules did not need instruction, they knew what came next. The silent language that transferred from the auction to the destination continued. Over time, the hands atop the plow and the mule became of one purpose. This is when the legends of some mules began.
The best mules had something within them that resolved to the task at hand. The scale and scope of the topsoil was the canvas, but the raw and often harsh task at hand was the real challenge. For some lesser mules the effort required in new ground was too much, but for the best it was just another day; although perhaps a day of week, or month when the bone structure formed the shape of the collar.
The hands upon the plow tested the ability of the mule. It had to be done dispassionately if the family was to achieve success, and ultimately if the community were to thrive.
When the blade was moved a degree deeper, the collar pulled just that much tighter – deeper. The best mules knew what those sensations implied. There were times for looking forward, but when the resistance was the strongest, these were not those times. At these times the mules looked down at only the two feet in front of them, and they focused on those two feet, and then the next, and then the next…. until they felt the pressure subside. Then it was time to turn.
There were lands where no mules could succeed – miles of square acres containing buried rock and dirt compacted over centuries, long before humans started apportioning it. However, there were some mules who had the capability to move that soil, plow through those rocks, and with nothing more than brute force create the opportunity for harvest. This is what the quiet men were looking for. These were the silent questions exchanged.
I think about those quiet mules returning to their stables as the sun dropped, and the feeling of the straps being scraped across the back as they are removed. I think about that silent message as the farmers hand touches the side of the neck with great appreciation. I wonder if the approval connects to the determination that will follow at sunrise. Is this the trait the quiet men were looking for? Is determination the invisible language within that interview, an auction now long in the past? I think it was.
The events of the past several weeks have shown us there are harsh landscapes ahead. We are traveling to places that have never been contemplated. We are witnessing things accepted that were always out of bounds. There are no boundaries in this new place. This land is hard, and it will take quiet men with callouses to guide us through it.
It is time for the old mules to revisit the legend of their kin.
It is time for the counsel of quiet men.
It is a time to remember the purpose of that old collar hanging on the wall.
It is a time for that unspoken language to be understood.
It is time for the old mules to take lead and plow the terrain.

Are there no people with a medical/scientific background with the gumption to openly say that covid is a corona virus. The corona and rhino viruses cause upper respiratory infections. These viruses have been around forever. And they mutate frequently and easily. If you have a compromised respiratory system (COPD, asthma, etc) STAY HOME as much as possible.
We adults who do not have a chronic respiratory condition, as well as our healthy children and young adults should not be subject to the fascists’ orders to restrict our breathing with masks, not work and play with others, and to parade the “magic” 6 feet apart in public settings. The federal Republic was not reconstructed after the Civil War. You are living under the constitutional democracy that is Washington, DC. (Our democracy, as Nancy Pelosi points out. Their democracy, not our republic.) If you want the republic back you must correct your political status and return to the soil jurisdiction whereupon the republic can be reestablished. The mule is a great metaphor. My husband and I rode the mules into the Grand Canyon. We trusted our lives to those Mules as we rode around switchbacks and 2 feet wide trails. It was terrifying, exhilarating and exhausting. We prayed a lot and never looked down. And eventually we made it back to the top rim. I think the country is on that ledge now.
My husband & I made that trip in 2016. Absolutely beautiful! Mules are the animal of choice for those trails due to their sure footedness. I also learned that mules can see their back feet & where they place them-unlike horses. I’d make that ride again in a New York minute. ❤️

According to David Rivkin a Constitutional Attorney there is no way either the Georgia or the Jan 6th prosecutions of President Trump can move forward. Both will be dismissed!
Under the Constitution the President of the United States has ABSOLUTE IMMUNITY from criminal prosecution for any action taken in accordance with his official duties and that includes actions outlying on the perimeter of his official duties such as the actions charged in the indictments. This includes a former President as well. The only recourse to hold the President accountable for bad behaviour is IMPEACHMENT. After a conviction in the impeachment process the President can be criminally prosecuted. As President Trump was acquitted in the impeachment is further evidence on his behalf!
In addition, the indictments charges include the violation of free speech in counts relating to tweets, public statements and phone calls. The indictments make it a crime to protest the results of an election or consult with an attorney.
The Georgia case will immediately be transferred to Federal Court and then be dismissed.

Sure, and there’s no reason Judge Sullivan should have continued pursuing the charges against General Flynn after DOJ dropped the case, but how did that go?
Pretty sure it’s unconstitutional to hold people indefinitely without charges, deny them representation, conduct warrantless search and seizure, hide exculpatory evidence, and ignore lawyer client confidentiality either, yet those things now happen routinely in our legal system.

This is only going to be addressed and settled by the Supreme Court. Now, many of us including me, know that the Supreme Court has absolutely no loyalty to Donald Trump and has already screwed him multiple times. That said, this case is about The Office of the Presidency which is the third branch of the Federal Government.
If the Supreme Court allows the Georgia DA to second guess and, even worse, steal the authority of the President then we have appointed every local prosecutor (3,000+) in the United States as the arbiter of what the President can and cannot do.
The job of the President requires decision-making on a daily basis that includes the difference between life and death. Does the Supreme Court allow the Ghetto Affirmative Action DA in every Democrat run city in the United States the authority to arrest the President at their whim?

(It may also be the case that the special election (Jan 2021) for the 2 US Senators for Georgia was stolen by the mules, giving the Democrats control of the US Senate.) In Arizona 20,000 mule votes can be attributed to 200 paid mules, without which Trump would have won Arizona’s 11 electoral votes. And in Philadelphia 1,100 mules were identified making an average of 50 dropbox visits each, resulting in 275,000 mule votes, without which Trump would have won Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes. Shockingly without the illegal mules in just 3 swing states President Trump would have won the election with 279 electoral votes to Biden’s 259. And that’s only 3 states and just one of the many election fraud methods used.
The movie shows that when the criteria is reduced to mules that went to 5 or more dropboxes, there were 54,000 mules identified in 5 states. Assuming that each of those mules dropped 3 ballots in each box they visited, then there were over 800,000 illegal ballots. Without those illegal ballots President Trump would have won all of the battleground states with 305 electoral votes to Biden’s 233.

My grandfather had a team of mules. I remember going with him with his team as he hired out to plow the tobacco fields of the farmers in the area. I was always amazed at the precision that they pulled the cultivators through the red clay ground. My grandfather appeared to be doing nothing except to follow behind with his hand on the plow and reins.
He was not doing nothing. He was giving instructions in a quiet voice, in a gentle tug or a slight push on the plow. At the end of the day, they would be soothed and fed. Among the three of them, they accomplished much.

BUT, I see this lying by Bank of the West as a sign of the times Am checking out Oregon Coast Bank but it such a hassle to transfer all our stuff over. time to batten down the hatches I see a big storm on the near horizon.

I know how you feel. Yesterday I had my fifth disruptive lunch at Capital Grill in Jacksonville. My husband is a regular there and occasionally I join him but in the last year I have gotten into heated discussions with other patrons. Topics range from vaccine, President Trump, Congressman Rutherford and yesterday’s conversation of transgenders.
The worse was when Congressman Rutherford showed up and came over to shake my husbands hand. It took everything in my power to keep my mouth shut instead of telling him what I really think of him. I have decided to just shop while he enjoys his lunch with his friends.

Sure, we rode on the coat-tails of residual morality for a couple generations, but that is passing away now.
